00:00Now, Madam Deputy Speaker, the House will be aware that police are treating this arson attack as an anti-Semitic
00:07hate crime.
00:08The investigation is now being led by counter-terrorism policing,
00:12although I should emphasise that this has not been declared a terrorist incident at this stage.
00:17No arrests have been made.
00:19But I take this opportunity to urge anyone with information to contact the police.
00:25Now, officers are aware of an online claim from a group taking responsibility for this attack.
00:32And establishing the accuracy of this claim is a priority for the investigation team.
00:38As the Home Secretary has told the House earlier, support for the Jewish community in London is being stepped up.
00:45The police have the unshakable backing of this government,
00:49and I am sure the whole House, in their effort to find the perpetrators of this awful crime,
00:56who should be in no doubt whatsoever that they will be pursued and made to face the consequences.
