00:00Well, it's clear that the Prime Minister on the 4th of February deliberately misled Parliament
00:07because he said that there was a vetting process.
00:10He then said new information came to light in September.
00:14The inference is that he passed the vetting.
00:16We now understand that he has failed the vetting at the early stage.
00:21And then on the 5th of February, a day later, in Hastings,
00:24the Prime Minister said that clearance had passed Lord Mandelson.
00:30And it must be the case that the Prime Minister had been told he failed vetting.
00:35He lied to the British people. He lied to Parliament. He must resign.
00:39It's inconceivable, given everything that was going on,
00:43that he, who of course was Director of Public Prosecutions,
00:46with his forensic legal mind, wouldn't have asked the question,
00:50did vetting take place? What was the result?
00:54Not unreasonable.
