The powerful SUV proportions, with their upright front end, steeply raked windshield, and short overhangs, define the side view. Wraparound wheel arch moldings and front and rear underride guards emphasize the off-road character. The wide track and flush-mounted wheels, along with the muscular shoulder line, give the GLB a powerful presence. A total of 94 individually animated LED stars in a chrome finish are the highlights of the iconic radiator grille. Depending on country-specific regulations, the central star is also fully or partially illuminated. One of the few visual distinguishing features of the GLB Hybrid is its classic radiator grille with the Mercedes-Benz pattern in chrome, surrounded by a standard LED light guide.
The large, standard panoramic sunroof creates an exceptionally spacious and open feeling. Within milliseconds, the optional SKY CONTROL panoramic roof allows the glass surface to be switched segment by segment between transparent for an unobstructed view of the sky and opal (milky) for greater privacy (optional extra). The GLB offers a unique visual experience, especially at night: 158 stars are illuminated.
