With the M-Class, the predecessor of the GLE, Mercedes-Benz paved the way for the premium SUV segment in 1997. Since then, millions of customers have opted for an SUV from this model series. The GLE owes its exceptional on-road agility and superior off-road capability in particular to its modern drive technology, in which Mercedes-Benz has once again made significant progress.
With a total of around 3,000 new or revised components, the new GLE presents itself as comprehensively modernized. Subtle lighting details give the front end more expression. Two horizontally arranged star emblems in the headlights define the new visual signature. The illuminated central star and the contour lighting of the larger grille ensure an impressive presence, if desired. The Mercedes-Benz Operating System (MB.OS), also new in this model series, transforms the GLE into an even more intelligent companion that understands, anticipates, and evolves along with its driver. MB.OS integrates and controls every aspect of the vehicle. This supercomputer uses artificial intelligence (AI) and powerful chips and is connected to the Mercedes-Benz Intelligent Cloud.
