00:00A multinational company, an Indian name brand globally, but currently is caught in a controversy that's embarrassing, shocking to say
00:10the least.
00:11And this is because it's about sexual harassment, allegedly religious conversion and more.
00:16Here's what's happening. This is in Nashik. The conversion case is escalating.
00:20ATS, in fact, the anti-terror squad has also stepped in and is meeting investigating officials.
00:26Investigators are examining the role of a Malaysia-based handler.
00:28There are WhatsApp chats suggesting one Imran was in touch with the accused as well.
00:34Now, serious charges have surfaced as well.
00:37So, what has happened in it is that a TCS HR executive, Nida Khan, allegedly abetted harassment.
00:44Groomed targets did not take into consideration seriously the complaints that had come in.
00:49New joinees were targeted more, especially the ones who were in desperate need of money.
00:54Now, the special investigation team say the number of victims has risen to 12.
01:00Nine FIRs have been registered so far. More complaints are likely coming in.
01:05Inappropriate advances, abuse, alleged pressure to convert to Islam have been mentioned.
01:09And not against one suspect, but multiple men have been accused of this by these women.
01:16Deleted data from phones of accused is being recovered through forensic analysis.
01:20Police have conducted, and this is very important for you to know, ladies and gentlemen,
01:24how did the police uncover this?
01:26They deployed women constables as undercover to gather evidence.
01:32They wanted to be very sure of what they are going ahead because this is, of course, a sensitive case
01:36and in a multinational company.
01:38So, the investigation went on for days.
01:41For now, the main accused, as is being seen, HR executive Nida Khan is absconding.
01:45A manhunt is underway.
01:46The Tata Consultancy Services has also given out a statement that they have suspended the accused.
01:51They are cooperating with the complaints and the investigators.
01:54And they are shocked as much by what has unfolded in this issue.
02:08So, the police deployed women constables as undercover to be able to bring out the truth.
02:13They wanted to have solid evidence in this case because these were sensitive allegations
02:16and you needed to have certain base of complainants and of the evidence on the ground.
02:21Now, here's what happened.
02:22So, there are nine FIs that have been filed.
02:25There are 12 complainants in total.
02:27I'm combining all of these FIs because similar complaints have been mentioned against different individuals.
02:34What similar complaints?
02:35What are those complaints?
02:36With nine FIs that have been filed, remember that it takes a lot of courage also for these women to
02:41be able to come out.
02:42And I reiterate for now, these are allegations backed by evidence, as the police says, of enough digital evidence as
02:48well.
02:48What are we looking at?
02:49Number two, nine FIs have been filed but charges include rape and outraging religious feelings.
02:55Now, let me give you the context of it.
02:57One, that the accused were testing waters.
03:00They would constantly put forth remarks that were offensive to the Hindu religion, deities.
03:05There were attempts to initiate sexual intimacy with some of these women.
03:10This has come out from the complaints.
03:12Now, when the women who were feeling bad would approach the HR executive, who's also a woman, who's absconding now.
03:17She's one of the accused.
03:19She wouldn't really consider this, win the trust of these young joinees, but wouldn't do much on those complaints.
03:25Now, multiple allegations of harassment and religious conversions.
03:28Harassment like inappropriate touching, staring at body parts, especially the chest, making remarks even about marital life, personal life of
03:38some of these women.
03:39And then convincing them to convert religion ways, convert to Islam in the days and years to come.
03:46All of this, ladies and gentlemen, is not a six month, one year affair.
03:49We are told that from 2022 to 2026, this is what went on as according to these FIIs that have
03:56been officially mentioned.
03:58That the HR abetted sexual harassment and forced conversions.
04:02What does this mean?
04:02Now, we all know that in companies, there are committees against sexual harassment like the POSH committee.
04:09You can, if you feel you're a victim or a survivor, go to these committees.
04:13They have to take it into cognizance, immediately initiate investigation.
04:16That was not being done.
04:18One of the senior HR managers, Nida Khan, seemed to be saying that she was on board, but was ignoring.
04:23In fact, allegedly, was with the accused in this.
04:28The accused include, Dhanush Sheik, Shafi Sheik and Nida Khan, among others.
04:33Tawse Fattar also was mentioned in it.
04:35I'm quoting from the FIIs, from nine FIIs, where these names have been mentioned.
04:40The men have been taken in custody.
04:42Accused allegedly made offensive remarks on deities.
04:46One woman complainant, in fact, in the FIIs also said that she could not have children.
04:51So, she was constantly mentioned as taunts on that.
04:55She was then coerced and brainwashed that why wouldn't she then marry one of these accused.
05:01So, there were remarks like that that was also mentioned by these accused.
05:05And eventually, the accused used to physically grab women employees.
05:08Now, remember, I'm not talking about one accused or another.
05:12These are nine FIIs, nine different women who have come forth with these complaints against different men.
05:19And that it was a well-oiled network, a racket eventually leading to conversion.
05:25These are charges for now, allegations of course.
05:27It would further need more investigation from the police.
05:30And then, of course, a trial that will begin.
05:32But it's the HR executive, Nida Khan, who's being seen as in many ways the pinpoint of it,
05:38that she's still absconding and missing.
05:41I want to immediately bring in my colleague Divyesh Singh.
05:44He's, in fact, been the one who's been able to speak to senior investigators and get to the cusp of
05:49this matter.
05:49I want to bring you in, Divyesh, because I understand that this wouldn't be a very easy case.
05:55So, if one, tell us about the modus operandi of the accused.
05:58And how did the police decide to place undercover cops to be able to get solid evidence?
06:03Because the revelations are extremely shocking.
06:06One would come and say, is this really possible in a multinational company or are these just charges?
06:12Well, exactly, Pooja, this is a completely different case.
06:16A rarest of rare case, you can say, where in an MNC, which, a huge MNC, which had employed 147
06:25people,
06:25a reputed firm, a reputed name, and this kind of conversion racket, this kind of sexual harassment,
06:34this kind of sexual assault on women, and not only just women, even men were targeted.
06:41Even men were targeted by the group of these 16-year-old men.
06:46And that, Divyesh, sorry for interrupting you, what do you mean that the men were also targeted and how?
06:51Well, Pooja built, there are nine FIRs as of now.
06:55The ninth FIR is by a man who was targeted, who was targeted for his religion.
07:03This person was a very spiritual person.
07:06He would follow his religious practices, his rituals.
07:11He would wear a teacher and attend the office.
07:16He was targeted by these 16-year-old men.
07:19He was taken out, he was taken for dinner, possibly with them, and insisted, pressurized, forced,
07:26forced to have non-vegetarian food, to have food, which is not allowed after his religious structure.
07:36But he was supposed to eat the food that was being offered to them.
07:41Then, he was also told he was, there was manipulation done by these accused who would manipulate him,
07:50who would make statements, which was hard for religious statements,
07:56who make statements regarding his deities, regarding his rituals, regarding the religious practice that he followed.
08:03I mean, they all teach him to embrace Islam, embrace Islamic practices, and that...
08:12Only if I can get you in, I understand there's a communication issue here,
08:15because such serious allegations of offensive remarks against Hindu religion, deities,
08:20physical inappropriate touching, remarks on marital personal life,
08:24inappropriate messaging, allegedly grooming them to convert.
08:28The matter did reach the HR.
08:30Why is this woman, HR manager, Nida Khan in the spotlight right now?
08:34Where is she? What are you picking up on that?
08:36How could she be absconding? Why is the focus on her?
08:41Well, Nida Khan has been named in the very first FIR.
08:44And not only just the first FIR, she has been named in the other eight FIRs as well.
08:50Remember, Vijayad, there are three more complainers who have complained,
08:56whoa...
08:56Yeah, you too.
08:57Remember, just...
08:58Due to some sort of charms
09:01Due to some sort of chasing...
09:02Due to some...
09:03Divish, yes.
09:05Keep checking this, because...
09:06declare... going... замden
