00:00So, Amidha and Amiraj, welcome to INS. It's been an absolute pleasure to have you with us on board today.
00:06And firstly, I saw the trailer on the way. It looks amazing. I thought it was a little light hearted
00:13for you.
00:13I thought it was so light hearted for you. I thought it was so light hearted for you.
00:18We can see it with family. You rated it after a long time.
00:22So firstly, tell us how excited are you for, I mean the release is just on the corner.
00:25Firstly, how excited are you for the movie?
00:27Very, very excited. I am so happy with the trailer watching Joby Rowe's response. It's been very, very positive.
00:33Everyone has a lot of fun watching.
00:35So, today's day is so special. Now, I can't wait for the release of the film and I can't wait
00:41for people to watch it.
00:42It's a, like you said, a very light hearted, fun film.
00:46It's a very long time film that you will watch with family.
00:51It will laugh, laugh, it will be fun. So, I can't wait for people to watch it.
00:58I would like to say the same. I think this film is coming on April 24th.
01:02Now, it will be 15 days.
01:06Almost 15 days, yeah.
01:09So, two weeks to go. Very, very excited, slightly nervous.
01:12It's taking us almost a year now to bring this film to everyone.
01:16Lot of effort from everyone. So, fingers crossed.
01:20And, as you said that a lot of times, a movie is coming in a movie.
01:24There is a chance to take the whole family to watch the whole family.
01:29So, this is the chance to watch the whole family.
01:30How many families are going to watch the whole family today?
01:31So, it's kind of a beautiful film.
01:33Yeah, absolutely.
01:34And, if you could tell us about your characters in the movie.
01:37And, also it is a very comedy rom-com, rom-com joke plot.
01:42So, how comfortable were you in doing a little bit of comedy as well?
01:46Because, I believe and it is said as well that, out of all the niche domains of acting, comedy is
01:53probably one of the most hard, you know, genres to act.
01:57What is your take and if you could also elaborate on your characters?
02:01I think to each his own.
02:04I think to each his own.
02:05I think to each his own.
02:08I think people have seen me in twelfth fail and that was a more serious, more subtle, intense role.
02:22So, I really enjoyed comedy.
02:25And, I feel like either in this film or when you film a fun film, you automatically feel happier.
02:31Because, during the shoot, my energies have always just been up and I have been in high spirits.
02:37And, I felt so happy everyday on that set.
02:40So, I really enjoyed comedy.
02:44And, in terms of my character, I would say, I keep saying that she is a very chatpati girl.
02:48She is like a very, she is very flavourful.
02:51She is too dark also.
02:53Then, she is very sensitive and warm at heart also.
02:55She is also very sensitive and warm at heart also.
02:58She also loves her and gives her.
02:58But, at the same time, she knows how to take a stand for herself.
03:01So, she is a very complete woman.
03:03She is a very sensitive woman.
03:04She will always relate to all of the women.
03:07And, hopefully, all of the women will love her.
03:11So, I feel very relatable to her.
03:14And, in general, the girls that I know.
03:17So, yes.
03:21Actually, I want to do comedy too.
03:23I think if you ask me, who comes in more fun?
03:26I would say comedy.
03:28There is no two thoughts on it.
03:31Because, when you are doing it, you are light.
03:33When you are in the set.
03:35They are all in the mood.
03:38It doesn't feel like you are working.
03:40It's not that stressful.
03:41So, it doesn't feel like you have worked very hard.
03:46And, also, the reward is still getting paid.
03:49And, also, the money is still getting paid.
03:51And, also, I feel like people have fun, comedy,
03:56these things are much more like.
03:58So, in every way, it is more beneficial.
04:01As an artist.
04:04To say that comedy is more difficult.
04:07Or drama is more difficult.
04:09I don't know why actors are taking this division.
04:16I don't think it's easier or difficult.
04:19If someone says that comedy is more difficult,
04:22I say that every other and third deal is hurting.
04:27So, if it's so difficult,
04:28how does everyone hurt the other deal?
04:31Every five days after a new stand-up comedian is running.
04:35So, how is this happening if it was so difficult for people to laugh?
04:39I don't see many dramas happening like that,
04:41which are really,
04:42which make an impact to you,
04:44that can create it.
04:45So, I feel like it's more important.
04:50I don't know what can happen.
04:53I feel like both are equally easy and difficult.
04:57But there is a lot of comedy.
05:00Comedy.
05:01Yeah.
05:01Okay. So, you know Taylor made a slide,
05:03when Lil Nube says that,
05:06uh,
05:07uh,
05:10that's the same thing.
05:10you know,
05:11you're not going to be the same.
05:11Yeah.
05:12So, I wanted to know that even when we,
05:15in today's modern era,
05:16right,
05:16when we talk about marriage,
05:18it is very synonymous to age.
05:20Um,
05:20that's the same thing.
05:20if you're not married in this age bracket,
05:26then you'll not become a mother.
05:27That is still a conversation,
05:29however,
05:30we've progressed in life,
05:32or personally,
05:33professionally.
05:33So, what is your take on this entire,
05:36uh,
05:36think ki,
05:36is umar mein shadi honi chahiye,
05:38jo concept hai.
05:39What is your take?
05:40Meri sahab se shadi tab honi chahiye,
05:43ya karni chahiye,
05:44jab aap mentally ready hain,
05:45ya aapko sahih insaan mil gaya hai.
05:48sahih galat insaan ke saath,
05:49ap ekki saal mein shadi kar lehen,
05:51kya zindagi aapki rahe ki.
05:52As opposed to,
05:52agar aap later kare,
05:53but you're married to this,
05:55to a person that you want,
05:56or at least who's the right guy,
05:58or the right woman for you.
06:00Uh,
06:00the ultimate goal of getting married is,
06:02uh,
06:03to lead a better life from,
06:05you know,
06:05here on,
06:06whatever we have,
06:06whatever we do,
06:07whatever,
06:07whoever we are,
06:08or the life that we're leading as an individual,
06:11with a partner,
06:12it just becomes better,
06:13in different ways.
06:14So, what's more important,
06:15I think the,
06:16uh,
06:17more important should be given to the,
06:19to finding the right person,
06:21not necessarily the age,
06:23I think,
06:23uh,
06:24aapko jis age mein sahih insaan mil jaiye,
06:26sahih pyaar mil jaiye,
06:28aur apko laghe haa mein khush rahungi,
06:29ya rahunga,
06:30woh sahih time hai.
07:01aur I think,
07:01uh,
07:02uh,
07:32uh,
07:32if you don't necessarily desire to have a family,
07:37then as an institute,
07:38shadi karna bahut zaruri nahi hai.
07:41you can have a life partner,
07:42you don't need that stamp of being married,
07:45uh,
07:47and if you want to have a family,
07:49then age will always be a,
07:52uh,
07:53matter of concern,
07:54human,
07:55and hence people,
07:57and hence people,
07:57when they say age,
07:58this is what they're trying to say,
08:28that,
08:30the age is also kind of increased,
08:32and you see that around,
08:33in fact,
08:34aap is desh mein,
08:35agar check kane,
08:35toh atthai se tis percent,
08:37marriage percentage,
08:38has gone down,
08:39and that is one of the reason,
08:41to do a film like,
08:41Guinea vet sunny tour,
08:42to ask this question,
08:43of why people are not getting married,
08:46what is it that people are getting married,
08:48not getting married for?
08:49uh,
08:51so,
08:51I have to think that,
08:52age is important,
08:53if you want to start a family,
08:55and marriage is important,
08:56if you want to start a family,
08:57so,
08:57the core is,
08:58do you want to start a family,
08:59if yes,
09:00please do get married at the right time,
09:03because it is important,
09:05it will,
09:05your body will be in the best way,
09:07to give rise to a family,
09:09and take care of that family,
09:10uh,
09:11as far as I am concerned,
09:14I am concerned,
09:14I think that,
09:15I think that,
09:16my time has gone,
09:18and my time is over,
09:21so,
09:22yeah,
09:23you know after Laila Majnu,
09:25till Sani met,
09:27Guinea met Sanita,
09:30mainstream cinema,
09:31the lead actor,
09:32we didn't,
09:33we missed you actually,
09:34if I could say,
09:35so what is like,
09:36was that like a conscious decision,
09:37or were you waiting for the right projects,
09:38or was it like a pressure,
09:40that you have such a benchmark set,
09:41to live by it?
09:42Not really,
09:43actually,
09:43if you see,
09:44Laila Majnu happened,
09:45and then there were those two years of covid which happened which took me to i made some
09:51other commitments for ott at that point of time and i kept doing that then i did mudgaon express
09:57which was in theaters which i felt like from all the stuff that i was doing i had not stepped
10:03into
10:04comedy i had not done that genre and i said let's try doing that we came with that uh to
10:10the cinema
10:11halls then i came with uh oh romeo to the cinema halls which is again a variety so mere sat
10:19yeh zarur hai ki aap mujhe sirf desirable parts mein nahi dekhingi ki sirf uh
10:25achcha lover boy lover boy uh my chaata hoa or mein umid karta ho ki meri audience thoda
10:30or umid karein mujh se aur dúsare actor se bhi ah ki hum kuch aur bhetr cinema kar sakin aur
10:36bhetr
10:37kaam kar sakte hain sirf wahi kaam na karte nahi joom karte hain right so lover boy and hopefully back
10:42very soon again with a lover boy and then then kill some people again save some people yeah this is
10:50what we need to do right um mega discussions for you uh first movie he vikran he right and you
10:57have
10:58worked with him in a non-human movie so i don't know jab yeh like did you basically get a
11:03chance to
11:03tell that you are also part of the second movie and all of that because discussion as such hua
11:07discussion to as such kuch nahi hua tha but he's aware of course that i'm doing this film and he's
11:14very happy uh i i'm guessing he's gonna watch the trailer and then maybe i'll speak to him
11:19but it's always special to know that okay vikranth is also part of the first part of this film and
11:25of
11:25course he'll always be very special to me because the first co-actor also in a film as special as
11:3012th film absolutely so yeah you know uh you see first movie ke joe baat kare to us for yami
11:35gotham ki right currently joe abhi suh dekh rahe hai yami gotham is the new trending word on social media
11:41ha so do you kind of feel that pressure kiare mtlab kahin comparison na strike ho ya kabit aisa na
11:46ho friends aisa kuch nahi i love uh yami gotham and aditya dhar they're quite aware of how much i
11:54love those
11:55people um i think yami has always been a great actor abhi wo tana ki ek wakt ke baad aapko
12:02wo
12:02is that us tarha ki milne lagti hai wapka wakt nahi tha but asa nahi ki wo it's like that
12:07to pressure kiwa i'm always inspired by people jinnoune bhot acha kam kiya hai mujhse pehle ya mere baad
12:13saath to wo kabhi comparison wane kiya nahi aur koji aur karta hai toh se mujh koji farak
12:18verta nahi right now when we talk about 12th film the kind of act the character that you portray right
12:23it set its benchmark for not just you for others as well in acting thank you in the world of
12:28acting
12:28so i wanted to know that when you now select projects does that pressure kind of is there is
12:33it like consciously there kiya heye set kiya hai toh now have to select projects also on that level
12:38or are you open to experimenting what goes on your mind when you select especially
12:41that's like a john dosh shift from that movie to this one so what consciously goes on in your mind
12:48um kuch i would say ki kuch mahin ho 12th field ki joan it blew up thoda toh ek-do
12:53mahin hai
12:54meinne alag tarikka pressure lehne lagi thi mein ki aray ab kya se bhot soch samajke karna padega
12:58phir then i realize itna kya uh meray sochne samajne se nahi chalegi ya nahi chalegi koji film
13:05toh mein bhot instinctively dekhti hun ki agar mein paas 5 scripts hain hain hain hain
13:10isa kaun si film ki script hain joo padeke me ko dil se ari hai kiya ye i want this
13:14toh mein usi pe jati hun aur baki bhagwaan maro se chal raha hain merah toh sab
13:19toh mein yeh sochthi hun karir yeh kari hai toh iska kuchha achahi ho jae ga
13:22uh kyunki kyunki kyunhi bura hooga toh bas usi peh bira chal raha toh mein itna pressure nahi
13:27lehti honestly but i think that's the best way to yeah yeah yeah yeah
13:31when i ask this question is for you okay so last question before you i spoke no more last
13:37question before they review yeah so uh this is a very off-peed question if you are comfortable
13:42then we'll answer you take a moment so philhana uh women's reservation pe baat hoi hai i mean it's a
13:48historical uh moment in their history of india right so i want to know as a woman ye jo 33
13:53percent
13:54abhi amal ho ra hai hain execute ho ra hai so what is but as a woman how will you
13:58feel about it and you as well as
14:00and now what as an indian how do you feel about it
14:02i think this is a very progressive decision which will benefit from our country because i think women
14:10and men they have to hold hands and work together everywhere in personal life professional life
14:15running the country uh because women are just with sensitivity and their way to look at the world
14:22is very different that it's like you know it's yin and yang
14:35so i think uh if i just have to add something this is not the i think this for me
14:51is one of the steps of
14:53uh women empowerment and which should not stop here it should in fact head from here to building
14:59the instra infrastructure to empower women and i hope now that we have taken this step
15:05because i i'm often believe the reservation is not a solution for anything it is a step towards that
15:11and it's a good step to uh take but it needs a lot more work and i see now that
15:17we have it 15 years
15:18more of building the infrastructure to empower women would really take them from this underprivileged
15:26and privileged conversation that happens onto the same platform for everyone that's the hope of
15:31reservation the idea is not that a third bus women kai reha or it doesn't work like that i'm not
15:38a
15:38believer of that so yeah it's a great step to take and i hope it is a start and not
15:43the end of this
15:45the end of this thank you thank you so much thank you so much
