00:04:00203 dispatcher might be 10-7
00:04:04he's gone
00:04:14for homicide detectives their chance of solving a murder is cut in half if they don't get a lead
00:04:21within the first 48 hours
00:04:42so about approximately an hour ago we had an armed robbery in which the victims were shot at
00:04:48following the robbery and then while working that armed robbery they observe a bullet hole to an
00:04:54unrelated trailer make contact and they discover the deceased in the back bedroom
00:05:01it happened here in front of 12. so here you can see is where we have the entry of the
00:05:11bullet
00:05:12and then on the other side of this wall is our decedent
00:05:17and his name is herberto martinez martinez
00:05:2437 year old eriberto martinez martinez came to the u.s 20 years ago from oaxaca mexico in search of
00:05:31better job opportunities he worked construction and
00:05:35was packed to move to a new job site in north carolina in the morning
00:05:38he leaves behind a large family including his brother and brother's family in north charleston
00:05:45and his parents and three other siblings back home in mexico
00:05:51the bullet struck him in his facial area while he was sleeping
00:05:56the shot killed eriberto instantly where you see the crowd of people is the general area in which
00:06:01the armed robbery victims were when the shooting took place they were at the back
00:06:06corner of their trailer when approximately four what they described as black males approached them
00:06:12demanded their items and as they were fleeing the suspect shot there were several shell casings out
00:06:19here that was collected by patrol the four casings were covered are all night millimeter
00:06:28where the armed robbery happened a trailer has video cameras bravo is helping download the video
00:06:36we need to do interviews with the victims once the video is downloaded i'm gonna have him take my
00:06:41victims to city hall and bravo is gonna sit down with each one and we're gonna have one translation of
00:06:47what
00:06:47happen bush and malone are there and i let them know you're coming with three thank you bravo
00:07:03stray bullets are always rough hoping they got a good description in clothing or there's something
00:07:08distinct on one of the individuals that committed the robbery that we can identify and hopefully with
00:07:14that we'll be able to develop a suspect
00:07:25so run me through what happened
00:07:33so said they were hanging out drinking beers there were four that came somewhere from like behind the trailer
00:07:40so they're asking like where that where's the water which means marijuana yeah
00:07:52can you describe like what they were wearing what they look like
00:07:58he says the man who pointed the gun at him wore a black mask and two others also wore masks
00:08:05two black black mask one had white and then one didn't have one at all he said the one that
00:08:11came
00:08:11off to him with the gun he was only able to see kind of like eyes and he had like
00:08:15the mask with the
00:08:17one of the eyes while he was wearing a black mask and he was walking with the gun at all
00:08:24now
00:08:39so
00:08:50He says the suspect stole his keys, phone, and wallet, and then moved on to his friend.
00:08:57So the guy with the black mask, after he took his phone and everything, the black mask,
00:09:02went to start searching the other victim, victim number two.
00:09:05So, but was it the same one that was kind of doing all the robbing?
00:09:22Were they, like, trying to aim at you, or were they, like, aiming at the house?
00:09:28Now, did you see which direction they ran to after they fired?
00:09:36He says he and his friends ran after the men, but lost them behind some apartments.
00:09:41So, when they turned and leapt onto Facet, that's when you lost sight of them?
00:09:47Yes, yes.
00:09:49Okay. All right.
00:09:52Okay.
00:09:53One moment.
00:10:01Hello, I'm Detective Bush.
00:10:04Detectives speak with the two other robbery victims.
00:10:06Can you describe them?
00:10:23Any good descriptions on any of the suspects?
00:10:26No.
00:10:30This is going to be a really tough case.
00:10:32Hopefully, we'll get some good video.
00:10:34It'd be great to get a car coming or going in the area.
00:10:42All right, watch this.
00:10:43Detective Anthony Russ pulls up the surveillance video gathered from the trailer park.
00:10:48So, you're going to see the suspects walking up Stahl Road on crosses.
00:10:53The four of them now are linked up.
00:10:55So, then we cut to this video,
00:11:02where they're now walking into the mobile home park.
00:11:13Approach the victims from the rear of the trailers.
00:11:18You don't really get to see a whole lot.
00:11:20It's dark and from a distance.
00:11:23You can see they're robbing them.
00:11:25That gun.
00:11:30And they run beside this mobile home that actually has the cameras.
00:11:36And this is the good one.
00:11:40They're running and then shooting back.
00:11:54You're going to be going 39 miles per hour on 35.
00:11:58You just remember spinning that?
00:12:02Look at me.
00:12:03I'm going to make your bond so high,
00:12:05your head will spontaneously combust.
00:12:09you're not listening so this is great you're as great as the trooper is
00:12:13court cam new episodes watch now part of crime and investigation only on a and e
00:12:20i found something in my son's closet wrapping a plastic bag i think it's a human head
00:12:28start fire start fire good girl i was right there and he stared at me
00:12:33he has a gunshot wound to the neck gunshot wound to the neck go go go go go extreme caution
00:12:38don't let
00:12:39him out of your sight if you're in here make yourself known where's he at crime in progress
00:12:46new episodes watch now part of crime and investigation only on a and e
00:13:01unfortunately for us the video surveillance is at night
00:13:04and they are wearing masks three of them so that makes it challenging
00:13:13but anything distinctive helps us you can see a camo jacket and some nikes and you can form a suspect
00:13:22from that it ends with this where they're running away in the same direction that they came from
00:13:33they fled through this area and then back out this way likely to this road here
00:13:41we have some areas of interest we can look for video surveillance might help us id them a little
00:13:46better there's some apartments here that look good so we have some things to do but at least we have
00:13:54a
00:13:54starting point video is going to be the key in this case i think because we don't have any suspects
00:14:00at
00:14:00this time we will probably secure for the night here shortly i'm just like prepping this for the next
00:14:06shift and making sure like the list of cameras is there so when they do their brief they can divvy
00:14:13up
00:14:13and hit the ground running in the morning this is a completely innocent victim he was literally sleeping
00:14:20in his bed after a long day's work i mean it's horrible um and it also sucks because right now
00:14:25we
00:14:26don't have any answers but our goal is to bring justice to the victim and for his family
00:14:41let's wake it up it's friday
00:14:4510 hours in all right everybody's here ready we are so ready we're ready the case is assigned to
00:14:52corporal rob van tyne a 20-year veteran with the north charleston police department all right so
00:14:58this happened last night um i know the patrol responded at 21 50 hours there's uh three victims
00:15:03that were robbed they said that four males robbed them and then they fire shots backwards as they're
00:15:10running off victim was sleeping in his trailer and got hit by gunfire they run towards this pond and
00:15:16that's where you lose them from the camera i imagine if you're going to take a car you've got to
00:15:21go out
00:15:21facet road on up you got to go left on stall or right on stall we need to see if
00:15:25there's any video
00:15:25that we can obtain they actually have good video on the second building in that apartment complex also
00:15:33sergeant bailey was saying um somebody ran they bound right broken fence
00:15:40so it could have been him jumping the fence into the apartment
00:15:42complex i agree i think the main thing right now is just getting as much footage from the surrounding
00:15:49area as possible and see what we got whether it's vehicle leaving or they're staying on foot and
00:15:54running if i can do that apartment complex y'all said they have cameras there yeah get all the cameras
00:15:59there from the external if we can we got you man time so i came in this morning and noticed
00:16:06the night
00:16:07shift call team responded to this or it gets passed on to the next person rotation i like being on
00:16:13scene
00:16:13being the one who responds to it unfortunately this one i'm not so i have to review the notes that
00:16:18they
00:16:18did and then go from there i just wish we had more information to go off of right now there's
00:16:22nothing to
00:16:22connect the victims to the suspects if we don't have a car we don't have anything yet so it's really
00:16:27a whodunit so we'll see if the cameras and the footage we can develop some more leads
00:16:40back here in this corner is where they put a pallet over fence and you can see footprints
00:16:45where they've been climbing over fence
00:16:56there's no video the security cameras at the apartment complex aren't working
00:17:04but the team will canvas each apartment for doorbell cameras so gives them a lot of problems
00:17:13and they're just according to someone in the building there have been complaints about two
00:17:17young men on the second floor one of the males was sitting on this kia yesterday stolen out of city
00:17:24the ignitions popped you think they could be our bad guys dogs tracked back here making some possibility
00:17:32i had a still shot of the uh suspects from our surveillance camera for the shooting
00:17:39yeah he picked out two from the four individuals detective david pritchard showed the video image
00:17:46to the tipster he said that he thinks the two in the middle are the two sons that live at
00:17:50this apartment
00:17:52maybe our guys we're gonna do a knock and talk reference to that stolen car see if it has anything
00:18:00to
00:18:00do with our homicide
00:18:11what did we do
00:18:17detectives bring out a woman and her two teenage sons
00:18:24came up here and knocked on the door
00:18:27they opened a door to wreak the marijuana so we pulled everybody's for investigative detention
00:18:32now we're gonna get a search warrant type for the residents for anything related
00:18:37what are we doing
00:18:42hey listen to what they see and calm down i'm their mom
00:18:46maybe these kids were involved in the incident
00:18:59i wonder if there's a way we can downplay it and say
00:19:03some items were stolen let's get those items back maybe they'd be more forthcoming
00:19:10how you doing man could be better vantine starts with the older brother
00:19:15is that your apartment over there off the facet your sisters how long have you been there um
00:19:23we just recently moved there so they came they smelled marijuana whatever is there anything else
00:19:28in there is there any because i know they're going to go in there and look is there any weapons
00:19:31or
00:19:31anything like that like is there like a gun or something where they're fine
00:19:37weed any other substances or anything i got you okay now basically um be honest with me did you take
00:19:44any items from some people in trouble that we can that we could somehow get back to them
00:19:57i found something in my son's closet wrapping a plastic bag i think it's a human head
00:20:04start fire start fire good girl i was right there and he stared at me
00:20:09he has a gunshot one to the neck gunshot one to the neck go go go go go extreme caution
00:20:14don't let him out of your sight if you're in here make yourself known where's he at crime in
00:20:22progress new episodes watch now part of crime and investigation only on a and e
00:20:34oh i think dying did someone else take some items that you were with
00:20:46because you know what happens is when we go through we pull the surveillance video everywhere
00:20:51right the trail park and all that so there's cameras on facet there's cameras further down
00:20:56so i just don't want you caught in a lie with that okay so i'm asking you to honestly be
00:21:03honest if you
00:21:03were at that trailer park you were at home the whole time yeah and if it shows that you weren't
00:21:15in the
00:21:15house and you actually left what then okay
00:21:30hey how's y'all man vantine turns to the younger brother and i'm gonna be honest with you some
00:21:35items were taken from um some people on a trailer park further down the road did you go over to
00:21:42that
00:21:43trailer park so you stayed there the entire time as a man that's your word okay i'll be right back
00:22:05so i can't say 100 that they're involved i just know that
00:22:09right now you have the path leading to their apartment you have a man that's saying from the
00:22:16still images that two of them look like kids that belong to that apartment and the fact that
00:22:22i feel just from interviewing that they're lying about last night kind of leads me to believe
00:22:27they're involved but we'll see search warrant's going to be completed maybe there's a weapon in
00:22:32there you never know cam is still talking to the um the mother maybe we'll get more information
00:22:36from um her so let me be honest with you so there was an incident that happened uh across the
00:22:46street
00:22:46at the um trailer parts on stall some hispanics were robbed and in the process there were um some
00:22:53individuals that shot at a trailer and um we arrived on cm found a male deceased who was sleeping
00:23:00in this trailer um those subjects then ran towards the apartments of where y'all are staying
00:23:07and one of your sons were in the kia just sitting there and there have been a number of kias
00:23:13stolen
00:23:13from the area do you know any reason why either one of your sons would be inside that kia they
00:23:19shouldn't be
00:23:21listen i work from seven in the morning to seven that night just now i really see my kids sometimes
00:23:29i work in room because i got a goal to accomplish i don't want this for them i want better
00:23:34now i can
00:23:36tell you i'm not gonna lie for my kids if i leave at home yesterday now if they just broke
00:23:42in that car
00:23:43then they got to deal with the consequences there's no reason for them to have to do anything like this
00:23:51because i give them what they want we're just following our leads and going upon our investigation
00:23:57have you ever seen either one of your sons carrying a firearm before i'm against guns i don't like
00:24:04guns you know that's just i feel like what you need a gun for but at no point in time
00:24:10yesterday you
00:24:11recall your son's leaving no didn't leave all right well just give me a second all right all right
00:24:20they're saying they're the home the entire time yeah that's what she's saying
00:24:24i feel like she would tell me otherwise i honestly do believe as much as she was telling
00:24:31them to calm down on scene like be respectful i feel like she would tell us yeah if they weren't
00:24:37in the house did she ask him anything about the car the kia one of them were in the kia
00:24:43i didn't ask
00:24:45him i'll ask the other one hey quick question two um there's a kia that's parked out there
00:24:52um were you inside that vehicle at all what about your brother any of y'all inside that vehicle
00:24:59do you know who that block that vehicle belongs to no you know where it came from
00:25:11all right
00:25:13you don't know this card same answer from the other guy they don't know anything about the car
00:25:19they're not in it those people put you in it i think they're lying about that whether they're
00:25:25involved in this murder i do not know um but we'll find out once we get the search warrant we
00:25:29get more
00:25:30information from pulling the video cameras at least we've locked them into statements that's the
00:25:34important thing we've locked them into statements so we can either validate those statements or we can
00:25:38disprove them at this point so we'll see what happens
00:25:45then hold on a second detective pritchard calls in from the apartment complex
00:25:50video from before the shooting that shows those kids leaving this apartment about what time
00:25:59the video shows three men leaving the complex 10 minutes before the call to 9-1-1
00:26:05just take your email or your uh text yeah i got it coming through thank you
00:26:13so that's their building
00:26:15oh it's absolutely hell man yeah what's up
00:26:37oh
00:26:53i've got to run
00:26:54I won't let them catch me, no.
00:26:56I won't let them catch the midnight ride in.
00:27:07This video is probably going 39 miles per hour on 35.
00:27:11Are you just looking at this thing, man?
00:27:15Look at me.
00:27:16I'm going to make your bond so high,
00:27:18your head will spontaneously combust.
00:27:22You're not listening, so this is great.
00:27:24You're as great as the trooper is.
00:27:27Court Cam, new episodes.
00:27:29Watch now on a crime and investigation only on A&E.
00:27:41100% that's them.
00:27:43The shoes, the camo jacket.
00:27:50Where are they coming from?
00:27:52You can't see no one on the stage.
00:27:57Does it have them coming back?
00:27:58Do we have a video of them coming back after you?
00:28:01I haven't seen more.
00:28:02Put this on the big screen of the computer,
00:28:05just so we can kind of get a better look at them.
00:28:11Here they are coming down.
00:28:13Six to ten minutes before the murder.
00:28:15The doorbell video is from an apartment below the brothers.
00:28:19We don't have them coming out of the actual apartment.
00:28:22We have them coming down the stairs.
00:28:25In the shoes, sir.
00:28:26That's all I do.
00:28:29Those are the green nightcap.
00:28:35Let's print out the image of this.
00:28:39I'll go and talk to the mom,
00:28:40and then we'll try to get her to identify them.
00:28:44You ready?
00:28:47Hey, how's it going?
00:28:48I'm the detective Banton.
00:28:53Who's who?
00:29:09All right, I'll show you something real quick.
00:29:11This is the video.
00:29:13Detective Cam Miller shows her the surveillance video
00:29:15from the crime scene.
00:29:18Oh, I don't know.
00:29:20Listen to me for a second.
00:29:21And I get it.
00:29:22You're their mom.
00:29:22You're supposed to protect them.
00:29:23No, and I wouldn't lie for them either,
00:29:26because right is right and wrong is wrong.
00:29:28And I'm going to be honest.
00:29:30I don't know who this is.
00:29:32I don't know.
00:29:34I do not know.
00:29:35I'm telling you.
00:29:37These green and white shoes,
00:29:39I never saw before.
00:29:40Okay.
00:29:54She's denying,
00:29:55basically knowing anybody.
00:29:56I would bet money they're involved,
00:29:58but we'll see.
00:29:59You have to get more.
00:30:03Then.
00:30:04Perfect.
00:30:05The team searching the brother's apartment
00:30:07reaches out.
00:30:09So they found 9mm handguns in there,
00:30:12and there are 9mm blazers.
00:30:14They recovered 2 stolen guns
00:30:16and ammunition
00:30:17that's the same brand
00:30:18as the casings
00:30:19found at the crime scene.
00:30:21I think we're on the right track here.
00:30:23That's good news.
00:30:24That would tie that apartment
00:30:26definitively.
00:30:27We'll test fire them here,
00:30:29and one of those weapons
00:30:30will hopefully match.
00:30:32So I'll confront them on it.
00:30:38Hey, how's it going, man?
00:30:43So a couple 9mm were found
00:30:45in your house.
00:30:48I've got the cameras.
00:30:49I've got video of you leaving.
00:30:53I want to know,
00:30:55yesterday night,
00:30:55who was with you
00:30:56when you went over to the trailers?
00:31:02Where'd the guns come from
00:31:03that were inside your apartment?
00:31:08Hmm?
00:31:12Your cousins?
00:31:14Was your cousin with you last night?
00:31:17No, he was with me yesterday.
00:31:19But not last night?
00:31:23So he wasn't involved?
00:31:26So all I've got right now
00:31:27is you and your brother.
00:31:28That's a problem for you and your brother.
00:31:31I need you to come clean with me
00:31:33if there's a third person.
00:31:36Or if you're the one
00:31:37who f***ed up,
00:31:38then say you f***ed up.
00:31:40And don't drag the other two down.
00:31:45Which one's you?
00:32:09He says he recognizes
00:32:11the men in the video
00:32:12from another apartment.
00:32:40The original ring camera footage
00:32:41that was sent to me,
00:32:42he's got even more.
00:32:44The owner of the doorbell camera
00:32:46sends additional video clips.
00:32:55He comes and picks up laundry
00:32:57at 10.04.
00:32:58Mm-hmm.
00:33:00The video confirms
00:33:01the younger brother was at home
00:33:03at the time of the murder.
00:33:08Hmm.
00:33:10Okay, so he's ruled out completely.
00:33:14They're going to test fire the gun.
00:33:15And right now, eyeballing it,
00:33:17they think it doesn't match.
00:33:18That's what we're getting at.
00:33:21The casings from the crime scene
00:33:22do not appear to have been fired
00:33:24from the recovered weapons.
00:33:29These aren't the guys.
00:33:32It's someone else that just happened
00:33:33to come from the apartments
00:33:34where they are.
00:33:42Which part was he saying?
00:33:45I think he said the one next door
00:33:47from the right to the left.
00:33:49That's a good one.
00:33:53Obviously, if you smell anything,
00:33:55let everybody get out
00:33:56and we're seeing everybody
00:33:57like we did the first time.
00:34:10That's just bad luck.
00:34:13It was looking like
00:34:14these were going to be our guys.
00:34:16Sometimes you get it wrong,
00:34:17but you just don't know
00:34:18until you question them
00:34:19and try to get to the truth
00:34:20of the matter.
00:34:20They did have stolen guns
00:34:22and a stolen vehicle
00:34:23in their possession,
00:34:24so they are involved
00:34:25with criminal activity,
00:34:26just not what we're
00:34:28investigating right now.
00:34:29We let them go.
00:34:30We can always charge them later
00:34:31if we want to.
00:34:32No rush on it right now.
00:34:34I mean, I'm frustrated
00:34:35that it didn't turn out,
00:34:37but the positive side is
00:34:38where that apartment is,
00:34:39the upstairs,
00:34:40these are our guys.
00:34:42So at least we have
00:34:43these three are 100%,
00:34:45so now it's just a matter
00:34:46of if we can identify them.
00:34:48And this one is the one
00:34:50that fired the shots on camera.
00:34:52So nice to figure out
00:34:53who he is.
00:34:54Did we identify all four
00:34:56of these subjects?
00:34:57They all four will be
00:34:57charged with murder.
00:35:00Hand of one, hand of all.
00:35:13Large hospital,
00:35:14please, I'm in the door.
00:35:23Nobody's coming to the door.
00:35:25Problem has been long enough
00:35:26to hit it.
00:35:29I have a male wearing
00:35:30a camouflage hoodie.
00:35:32Who's in and out
00:35:32that apartment?
00:35:33Miller recovers
00:35:34more doorbell video
00:35:35from an apartment
00:35:36across from the potential
00:35:38suspects.
00:35:39Oh, hold on.
00:35:40That might be our guy.
00:35:43He's one of the suspects
00:35:44had a camo jacket on.
00:35:45He's got a camo jacket.
00:35:48He wears it all the time.
00:35:55I think we have enough video
00:35:56to maybe do a facial rec.
00:35:58We're on the right track.
00:35:59We got some stuff
00:36:00to go off of.
00:36:01We just kind of follow up on it.
00:36:10Later that night.
00:36:11So I have these pictures
00:36:13that we got from this ring camera
00:36:15that's across the hall.
00:36:16So what I'm going to do
00:36:17is I'm going to take that picture
00:36:18and put it into Verkata
00:36:19and see what pops up.
00:36:23Our Verkata cameras
00:36:24are a city asset camera
00:36:25that we pay for to install.
00:36:27Two years ago,
00:36:29the city of North Charleston
00:36:30added over 700 surveillance cameras
00:36:32across the city
00:36:33to help reduce crime
00:36:34and improve police response time.
00:36:36They record things
00:36:37at major intersections.
00:36:38We can see everything
00:36:39from shootings to robberies
00:36:41to collisions
00:36:42to petty larcenies.
00:36:44We're extremely used
00:36:45for one of the best tools we have.
00:36:46The facial recognition software
00:36:48for Verkata,
00:36:48it's a very new feature
00:36:49they just added.
00:36:51It'll show up
00:36:51a bunch of different pictures
00:36:52of who could possibly look like
00:36:54who I'm looking for.
00:36:56Okay, so I just put these
00:36:58into Verkata.
00:36:59What do you think, Malone?
00:37:00Come take a look at this real quick.
00:37:03This guy pops up right here
00:37:05with that exact same camo jacket.
00:37:09This was earlier that day,
00:37:11Thursday, April 25th.
00:37:14That's possibly one of the suspects
00:37:16right there.
00:37:26I found something
00:37:27in my son's closet
00:37:28wrapped in a plastic bag.
00:37:31I think it's a human head.
00:37:33Start fire!
00:37:34Start fire!
00:37:35Get down!
00:37:36I was right there
00:37:37and he stared at me.
00:37:39He has a gunshot
00:37:39under the neck.
00:37:40Gunshot under the neck.
00:37:41Go, go, go, go, go, go.
00:37:42Extreme caution.
00:37:44Don't let him out of your sight.
00:37:46Hands up!
00:37:47If you're in here,
00:37:48make yourself known.
00:37:50Where's he at?
00:37:50Crime in Progress.
00:37:52New episodes.
00:37:53Watch now.
00:37:53Part of Crime and Investigation.
00:37:54Only on A&E.
00:38:04That looks like the guy
00:38:05from the ring camera video
00:38:07of his camo jacket right here.
00:38:10So we're seeing a potential suspect
00:38:12wearing similar clothes
00:38:13the same day as the shooting.
00:38:19He's walking alongside
00:38:20another male
00:38:21who's wearing similar clothes
00:38:23to what one of the other shooters
00:38:25is wearing.
00:38:26This dude looks like this dude
00:38:27right here.
00:38:29And then this guy right here
00:38:31with the long black shirt,
00:38:32the dark pants
00:38:33and the black shoes
00:38:34looks like this guy right here.
00:38:37I think that could be
00:38:38two of our guys right there.
00:38:42This varicata camera
00:38:43is located in our
00:38:45East Montague area.
00:38:46There is a school
00:38:47just down the street.
00:38:48Maybe somebody at the school
00:38:49would recognize those two.
00:38:51And then we're going to
00:38:51send these images
00:38:52up to SLED.
00:38:53That's our South Carolina
00:38:54law enforcement division.
00:38:56They have a lot of resources
00:38:57that we don't have.
00:38:58Hopefully,
00:38:59we can at least get the ID
00:39:00of two of the suspects
00:39:01out of the four.
00:39:10The next afternoon.
00:39:16This is apartment 13.
00:39:19And this is a guy
00:39:21that associates there.
00:39:26I heard back from Reeves.
00:39:27He talked to the school
00:39:28resource officer.
00:39:29We have identified him
00:39:30as Tristan Robertson.
00:39:33He's the one
00:39:33in the camel jacket.
00:39:37In his DMV photo,
00:39:39he's also wearing
00:39:39a camel jacket.
00:39:4319-year-old Tristan Robertson,
00:39:45a former student
00:39:46at North Charleston High School,
00:39:47has no prior convictions.
00:39:50Now, look who he's walking with.
00:39:51The body build of this guy.
00:39:54Doesn't that not look
00:39:54very similar to this person?
00:39:57The South Carolina
00:39:58law enforcement division
00:39:59ran the photo
00:40:00in their database
00:40:01and got a hit.
00:40:04The facial rag
00:40:05identified him
00:40:06as Kobe Bryant.
00:40:08He was convicted
00:40:09of strong-arm robbery.
00:40:10He also got convicted
00:40:12for failure to stop
00:40:12for blue lights,
00:40:13so he's known to run.
00:40:15After serving
00:40:1510 months in jail
00:40:16for larceny
00:40:17and receiving stolen goods,
00:40:1922-year-old Kobe Bryant
00:40:21was released
00:40:22six months ago.
00:40:25I think this is Tristan.
00:40:27I don't know who this is.
00:40:28I think this is Kobe.
00:40:30So we're going to do
00:40:31like a workup on them,
00:40:33see if they're on probation,
00:40:35what their phone number is,
00:40:37all that.
00:40:38I hope we can get
00:40:39these guys in custody
00:40:40because once we catch
00:40:41at least one of them,
00:40:42they'll hopefully snitch
00:40:43on the others.
00:40:50As the clock winds down...
00:40:52I'm Detective Vantine.
00:40:53I'm assigned to the case
00:40:54for both the robbery
00:40:55and the homicide.
00:40:57Vantine meets
00:40:58with Heriberto's family
00:40:59and the three robbery victims.
00:41:01When we came in on Thursday,
00:41:03we had no idea
00:41:04who did this.
00:41:05Friday,
00:41:06we ended up pulling video
00:41:07from the area
00:41:08and got a description
00:41:09of possible suspects.
00:41:11Now, today,
00:41:12we've got possible names
00:41:14and we're trying
00:41:14to piece that together.
00:41:16So we're actually
00:41:17a lot closer than we were.
00:41:20Sometimes these investigations
00:41:21take time.
00:41:22Let them know
00:41:23the second we make an arrest,
00:41:24the second we make an arrest,
00:41:25they are the first people
00:41:27we will call
00:41:27and let them know.
00:41:29Please, we would
00:41:30really appreciate that.
00:41:31Oh, definitely.
00:41:32We're working hard.
00:41:32Trust me.
00:41:33We are doing our best we can.
00:41:34So, if this is important,
00:41:36Detective,
00:41:36that they understand.
00:41:38Yeah.
00:41:38This takes time.
00:41:41Yeah.
00:41:42Ellos están trabajando
00:41:44on-gone, okay?
00:41:45Pero, pero yo sé,
00:41:47aquí tiene la mejor policía
00:41:49de toda esta área.
00:41:50The best police department
00:41:52there is,
00:41:52no Charleston, period.
00:41:54They're the best.
00:41:55You don't worry about that.
00:41:56Solo let them work, right?
00:41:58And work with the situation,
00:42:00but they need time.
00:42:01It's gonna be okay.
00:42:02Okay.
00:42:18In the first 48,
00:42:20North Charleston detectives
00:42:22responded to the murder
00:42:23of Heriberto Martinez Martinez,
00:42:25killed in his sleep
00:42:26by a stray bullet
00:42:27during a robbery,
00:42:28spoke to the robbery victims
00:42:30who said four men
00:42:31fled the scene,
00:42:32firing as they ran,
00:42:34discovered video surveillance
00:42:35that tracked three of the men
00:42:36to an apartment complex
00:42:38near the crime scene,
00:42:39identified two of the possible suspects
00:42:41as Tristan Robertson
00:42:42and Kobe Bryant,
00:42:44but all four suspects
00:42:45are still at large.
00:42:56Two days later...
00:42:58One of our guys
00:42:59that I think we've identified
00:43:00in the photo,
00:43:02Kobe Bryant,
00:43:03is gonna meet with his P.O.
00:43:05Detectives,
00:43:05head out to meet
00:43:06with Kobe's parole officers,
00:43:08hoping to question Kobe.
00:43:10We just wanna talk to him,
00:43:11see about if he will identify himself,
00:43:13and also see if his P.O.
00:43:14will identify him
00:43:15from that photo
00:43:16that we have.
00:43:20Is that her?
00:43:25Hey, how you doing?
00:43:26Thank you so much
00:43:27for meeting with us.
00:43:28I'm Detective Vanton.
00:43:29Nice to meet you.
00:43:30Same here.
00:43:31Will you show you a photo?
00:43:33Yep, that looks like him.
00:43:36That definitely,
00:43:37I can tell it's Kobe.
00:43:38That's Kobe?
00:43:38Yeah, yeah, yeah.
00:43:41Is he pretty cooperative?
00:43:42Would he talk with us?
00:43:43I think so,
00:43:44because believe it or not,
00:43:44he doesn't want to go back to jail.
00:43:46Helps us,
00:43:47like we'll try our best
00:43:48to help him.
00:43:50Just text him.
00:43:50You said 10 minutes.
00:43:51Okay.
00:43:53Thank you, guys.
00:43:54Yeah.
00:43:56Well, that's a good sign.
00:43:57She's pretty much
00:43:58thinking that's him.
00:43:59And it's just a matter
00:44:00of getting him
00:44:01to just say,
00:44:02that's me.
00:44:03And once he admits that,
00:44:05we have him.
00:44:06And all we have to do
00:44:08is at that point
00:44:09is see if he'll give up
00:44:11the other names.
00:44:20He's pulling around.
00:44:21He's in a baby.
00:44:22There she be.
00:44:23Yeah, I see him.
00:44:24I see him.
00:44:25Can you see him?
00:44:25Yes, ma'am.
00:44:26All right, thank you.
00:44:30I'm going to go hot.
00:44:31Come on.
00:44:36Kobe spots the detectives
00:44:39and takes off.
00:45:04Can I have an EMS
00:45:06to the Lonnie Hamilton building?
00:45:08Myself and the suspect.
00:45:09We fell after a brief
00:45:10foot chase.
00:45:16He just took off running.
00:45:18I caught him
00:45:19on the other side
00:45:19of the parking lot.
00:45:23We just wanted to talk to him,
00:45:24so it makes it look
00:45:25a little weird
00:45:26that he just takes off running
00:45:27as soon as we get out of the car.
00:45:34Kobe Bryant's parole officer
00:45:36approaches Miller.
00:45:48Inside the car
00:45:49is the other person
00:45:51of interest,
00:45:52Tristan Robertson.
00:45:53That's on.
00:45:54Tristan in the backseat.
00:45:56Hey, go to that backseat
00:45:57and retain that.
00:46:06Tristan in the backseat.
00:46:09We're going to go sit at the hospital.
00:46:13We'll take him
00:46:15to the detective day right now.
00:46:16While Kobe is taken
00:46:17to the hospital
00:46:17for evaluation,
00:46:19Tristan is detained
00:46:20for questioning.
00:46:21We've got Tristan
00:46:22and Kobe.
00:46:23Tristan was in the backseat
00:46:25to work out.
00:46:26Hopefully, he'll talk
00:46:27to us, though,
00:46:27because they're not happy
00:46:28right now.
00:46:36That's Tristan Robertson.
00:46:38I'm going to go in
00:46:39and try to interview him,
00:46:39see if he'll admit
00:46:40that he's in the photos.
00:46:43What do y'all need?
00:46:44A few kind words,
00:46:45some support.
00:46:46You got this.
00:46:48You want a chest bump?
00:46:48You want me to punch you
00:46:49in the chest?
00:46:50Oh, okay.
00:46:51Come on,
00:46:52going in to hurt him.
00:46:56Hey, man,
00:46:56you need any water or anything?
00:46:57You sure?
00:47:00Hurry, go home.
00:47:02Okay, I'll try to get you home
00:47:03as quick as I can.
00:47:04Obviously,
00:47:05you saw what happened
00:47:05out there, right?
00:47:06Running and all that.
00:47:10I know.
00:47:11That's awesome, dude.
00:47:12How old are you, man?
00:47:1319.
00:47:1419?
00:47:15What grade did you
00:47:16complete in school?
00:47:18You got your GED or anything?
00:47:19I got you.
00:47:20You go and work on that?
00:47:22Sweet.
00:47:23What do you do for a living, though?
00:47:26Oh, okay.
00:47:26I got you.
00:47:28No, basically,
00:47:29I just want to talk to you
00:47:29about some things.
00:47:31I want to show you
00:47:31some pictures.
00:47:32That's it.
00:47:33I don't know why
00:47:34he did what he did,
00:47:35but we'll talk to him
00:47:36as well.
00:47:37I want to show
00:47:38a picture.
00:47:41This is off of, like,
00:47:42Jenkins Avenue.
00:47:43This is April 25th,
00:47:45which is a Thursday.
00:47:46Vantine shows Tristan
00:47:48the photo from city cameras
00:47:50taken six hours
00:47:51before the homicide.
00:47:53I mean...
00:47:55Do you have a
00:47:56camouflage jacket like that?
00:47:57No.
00:47:58I used to when I was...
00:48:00That was back in 2021.
00:48:03That how mean?
00:48:04I don't know.
00:48:05That's not me.
00:48:08I was with my granny
00:48:09Thursday and Friday.
00:48:11Where's your granny house?
00:48:13West, ask me.
00:48:14There is this,
00:48:15because...
00:48:15So, there was an incident
00:48:16that happened
00:48:17on Thursday night.
00:48:19Where?
00:48:20Around Midland Park and Stahl.
00:48:23I think you were with
00:48:24some people
00:48:24that messed up...
00:48:26Yes, I'm asking you,
00:48:27trying to treat you
00:48:28as a witness here.
00:48:30They eat you here.
00:48:30That's not me, though.
00:48:32I'm telling you,
00:48:33that's not me.
00:48:34Where I was at,
00:48:34you can call my dad
00:48:35and my grandma.
00:48:36So you stayed
00:48:37in West Ashton
00:48:37the entire time on Friday?
00:48:39I got you.
00:48:41Vantine shows him
00:48:42another photo
00:48:42taken by a city camera
00:48:44the day after the shooting.
00:48:50So you're saying
00:48:50that ain't you?
00:48:51That looked like
00:48:52North Charleston.
00:48:53Yeah, it's North Charleston.
00:48:54But you're saying
00:48:55you and West Ashton
00:48:55on this date?
00:48:59I don't know.
00:49:00I don't know if I'm in North Charleston.
00:49:04You're saying, like,
00:49:05the pictures are completely wrong?
00:49:06Like, we could...
00:49:06I don't know.
00:49:07Like, how is there
00:49:08a picture of you
00:49:09in an area
00:49:10that you're claiming
00:49:11you're not?
00:49:11We have cameras
00:49:12all over the city.
00:49:13We have cameras
00:49:13all over Stahl Road.
00:49:15We have cameras
00:49:15all over Facet.
00:49:16You see what I'm saying?
00:49:17I don't know
00:49:21what you're talking about
00:49:22what happened on Stahl Road.
00:49:23I was not on Stahl Road.
00:49:25You can just get me a look.
00:49:27I don't know
00:49:27what it's going on.
00:49:29Okay.
00:49:32I'll be back.
00:49:33I told you
00:49:33where I was at, so...
00:49:34You sit tight.
00:49:38Here you go.
00:49:46He's just denying everything.
00:49:48He didn't know
00:49:48what to say
00:49:48after you showed him
00:49:49that left.
00:49:49No.
00:49:50He said,
00:49:51that's not me
00:49:51and then Lord...
00:49:53Like, he literally
00:49:54said he's in West Ashley.
00:49:56He never left West Ashley.
00:50:02A few minutes later...
00:50:04Hi, Diane.
00:50:04Kobe arrives
00:50:05at headquarters.
00:50:06How does that
00:50:07do we have to talk
00:50:07to you in just a second?
00:50:09We'll get Detective Butler
00:50:10to try to talk to him.
00:50:11Maybe it'd be better
00:50:11that someone
00:50:12who wasn't on scene
00:50:13when he ran
00:50:14and ran after him
00:50:15would be probably better.
00:50:16He's requested
00:50:17to speak to Sergeant Mike Brown
00:50:19who used to mentor him
00:50:20when he was a younger kid.
00:50:22The detective
00:50:23Kobe requested
00:50:24is currently working
00:50:25for the chief of police.
00:50:27So I'm going to get
00:50:27in contact with him
00:50:28to see if he'd be willing
00:50:29to come down
00:50:29and speak to Kobe.
00:50:31The murder's at 9.50 p.m.?
00:50:33Yeah.
00:50:34This is at 3.50
00:50:35on the day of the murder.
00:50:36You get him
00:50:37to identify himself,
00:50:37that's going to be Kobe
00:50:38and that's going to be Tristan.
00:50:41Just found this picture
00:50:42on Kobe's Facebook
00:50:44and those shoes
00:50:45are the green Nike.
00:50:49The Facebook photo
00:50:51of Kobe
00:50:51was posted four months ago.
00:50:54His shoes match.
00:50:55If you watch
00:50:56the actual video
00:50:56the shoes match
00:50:57from his picture
00:50:59there.
00:51:01All right.
00:51:01I'm going to talk to him.
00:51:05All right.
00:51:06I've been brought up
00:51:07to speed on
00:51:07what's going on here.
00:51:12Who is that?
00:51:13Butler shows him
00:51:14a photo from a city camera
00:51:15on the day of the shooting.
00:51:18I don't know who that is.
00:51:20No idea who that is?
00:51:22No.
00:51:25But you know
00:51:26what happened Thursday?
00:51:27No.
00:51:27I don't know
00:51:27what happened Thursday.
00:51:30Let me ask you a question.
00:51:31Do you have some
00:51:33white and teal
00:51:34or bluish
00:51:35like high-top Nike
00:51:36or whatever?
00:51:37Did you let...
00:51:38You know what I'm talking about?
00:51:38It's on your...
00:51:39You're wearing them
00:51:39on your Facebook page.
00:51:44Hey, man.
00:51:45That's what you...
00:51:45That's what you guys
00:51:46for, right?
00:51:46Yeah.
00:51:47I lost you.
00:51:48Hold on, hold on,
00:51:50hold on, hold on.
00:51:51Hold on.
00:51:51Kobe, hold on.
00:51:52You know how we roll, right?
00:51:54It's here.
00:51:55You have those shoes, right?
00:51:56Nope.
00:51:57I'm not going to move.
00:51:58Did you give those shoes
00:51:59to somebody?
00:52:00No, I was supposed
00:52:01to give them to me.
00:52:01But I didn't give them.
00:52:03I left them at a friend's house.
00:52:05When?
00:52:06Long time.
00:52:07Okay.
00:52:08All right.
00:52:08We'll talk to you
00:52:09for a minute.
00:52:13Listen, man.
00:52:14How long have we known
00:52:15each other?
00:52:16A long time.
00:52:17A long time.
00:52:19I know your family.
00:52:20All right?
00:52:22I know you.
00:52:23I know you.
00:52:24And that may be
00:52:25the case,
00:52:26but they don't have you
00:52:27up here for no reason.
00:52:28I've been doing this
00:52:29for a long time.
00:52:30I'm telling you 100%
00:52:32that everything
00:52:33that they're asking you,
00:52:34they know the answers to
00:52:35for the most part.
00:52:36They're not just asking you
00:52:38for no reason.
00:52:39This is your opportunity
00:52:41to help yourself out
00:52:42as best you can.
00:52:44There's only one thing
00:52:45I need from you.
00:52:46What's that?
00:52:47I need for you
00:52:48to at least tell me
00:52:49the truth.
00:53:09I don't want to see you
00:53:10throw your life away, dude.
00:53:12Me neither.
00:53:13I just got home
00:53:14so I can get my life
00:53:15back together.
00:53:17Right.
00:53:18And I don't want to see
00:53:19anything happen to you.
00:53:20But if you're not
00:53:21telling the truth,
00:53:22you know what's
00:53:23going to happen.
00:53:24But I had nothing
00:53:25to do with this situation.
00:53:26I had nothing to do
00:53:27with it.
00:53:27I don't even know
00:53:27what's going on.
00:53:30I'm not saying that
00:53:31you did anything
00:53:32that you shot somebody.
00:53:35But I know you might
00:53:36be a witness to it.
00:53:37Witness to what?
00:53:38Murder?
00:53:40I didn't know
00:53:41nothing about
00:53:41no murder,
00:53:42no knife.
00:53:43I didn't know
00:53:44it was something
00:53:45that happened
00:53:45on Star Room
00:53:46last week.
00:53:46I saw it on Facebook.
00:53:49So what happened?
00:53:50I don't know.
00:53:51They said somebody
00:53:51being robbed or some
00:53:52that they get
00:53:53in the armed robbery
00:53:53with you.
00:53:54I guess one person
00:53:55died of some
00:53:56I don't know
00:53:57nothing about the
00:53:57I'd be in my
00:53:58cowhouse,
00:53:59I'd be at her
00:53:59and I'd be home.
00:54:01Other than that,
00:54:02I don't be in
00:54:02nowhere else.
00:54:05You know there's
00:54:06a difference between
00:54:06being a suspect
00:54:08and a witness, right?
00:54:11What's the difference?
00:54:12I ain't a suspect.
00:54:13I'm innocent by saying that.
00:54:15Right.
00:54:15And what's a witness?
00:54:17Someone has knowledge
00:54:18of me.
00:54:18I don't got knowledge
00:54:19of shit.
00:54:20Right.
00:54:20So there's two
00:54:21different things.
00:54:22Yeah.
00:54:22I guess I don't
00:54:23have knowledge
00:54:24of what happened
00:54:25Thursday night
00:54:25and I was not a
00:54:26suspect of shit
00:54:27after Thursday night.
00:54:29I got you.
00:54:30I understand
00:54:30what you're saying.
00:54:32Don't you
00:54:32try to say.
00:54:33I'm trying to
00:54:34understand what's
00:54:35going on.
00:54:36I wasn't there.
00:54:38And if I was,
00:54:39I'd have told you
00:54:39what I was there,
00:54:40but I wasn't there.
00:54:43What if there's
00:54:44something that
00:54:45shows different?
00:54:46There's something
00:54:46that shows different
00:54:47than I and me.
00:54:48I and me.
00:54:50I don't want to be
00:54:50anywhere.
00:54:53All right.
00:54:54It's Sergeant Bailey.
00:54:56What's up, man?
00:54:56Yes, sir.
00:54:58So I know you've
00:54:59been in here
00:55:00talking to Sergeant
00:55:01Brown because
00:55:01I've been listening.
00:55:02He's not lying to you
00:55:03when he tells you
00:55:04that we have a lot
00:55:05more than what
00:55:06you think we have.
00:55:07I want to wait
00:55:08some stuff down
00:55:09on the table
00:55:09for you, all right?
00:55:11Because we've been
00:55:12investigating this thing
00:55:13since it happened
00:55:14last Thursday night.
00:55:15All right.
00:55:17So you know
00:55:18that the city
00:55:18has thousands
00:55:20of cameras
00:55:20around it?
00:55:22Pretty sure live.
00:55:23Yeah.
00:55:23Let's just make
00:55:24this real easy, okay?
00:55:26Who is that?
00:55:30You.
00:55:31Okay.
00:55:31I'm not trying
00:55:32to trick you.
00:55:33All right.
00:55:33What's the time frame
00:55:34on that?
00:55:35427.
00:55:3730.
00:55:37All right.
00:55:38Okay.
00:55:38This is East Montague.
00:55:40I'm trying to
00:55:40jog your memory.
00:55:42All right.
00:55:42Same area,
00:55:43same day.
00:55:48Bayley shows him
00:55:49a photo of Tristan.
00:55:51What the
00:55:51my lawyer?
00:55:52What the
00:55:53my lawyer?
00:55:54What the
00:55:55my lawyer?
00:55:56What the
00:55:56my lawyer?
00:55:59I don't know
00:56:00who that is.
00:56:01You don't know
00:56:02who that is?
00:56:02I met him today.
00:56:04I knew.
00:56:05I met him today.
00:56:06I don't know
00:56:07that.
00:56:11You met him today?
00:56:12Yeah.
00:56:13Kobe, you,
00:56:13you, you,
00:56:14you don't lie to the
00:56:15man and tell him.
00:56:16You met him the
00:56:17day when you
00:56:18with this man
00:56:18on Thursday.
00:56:19It's not a trick
00:56:20question.
00:56:21Thursday,
00:56:21all right,
00:56:22Thursday.
00:56:22Like I said,
00:56:23I was trying
00:56:24to see my PO.
00:56:25Somehow,
00:56:25he was,
00:56:26he was there.
00:56:31Okay.
00:56:31You have to
00:56:32understand what
00:56:32I'm trying to
00:56:33tell you.
00:56:34You're in a
00:56:34situation.
00:56:35I know I'm
00:56:36in this situation.
00:56:37Yeah,
00:56:37I want you to
00:56:37understand how
00:56:38bad this situation
00:56:38is.
00:56:39Ain't got
00:56:40nothing to do
00:56:40with me.
00:56:40And I've
00:56:41got your PO
00:56:41telling me
00:56:42when they watch
00:56:43your video,
00:56:44this person
00:56:44right here?
00:56:48That dude,

00:56:52See,
00:56:52saying that in here.

00:56:58got me in this
00:56:59finally.
00:56:59Nothing wrong
00:57:00in this
00:57:04So you're
00:57:04admitting that's
00:57:05you?
00:57:05Nope.
00:57:06That's me,
00:57:06all right.
00:57:07That's me,

00:57:14comes from.
00:57:14I don't know.
00:57:14I like it.
00:57:15The thing I'm
00:57:16trying to let you
00:57:16know is all

00:57:21which is less
00:57:22than 300 yards
00:57:23away from where
00:57:23the incident
00:57:24location happened,
00:57:25wearing the same
00:57:26blue.
00:57:26I don't got no
00:57:27green hat.
00:57:28I don't have
00:57:29that on the
00:57:29blue.
00:57:30I don't care what
00:57:30you got.
00:57:31What's wrong
00:57:31about to say,
00:57:32Kobe?
00:57:32I have not seen
00:57:33any of this.
00:57:34You share with
00:57:35Sergeant Bailey
00:57:36more than you
00:57:37share with me,
00:57:37and I know
00:57:38you.
00:57:38All right,
00:57:39but...
00:57:39Kobe,
00:57:39I know
00:57:40you.
00:57:40I don't
00:57:41make me feel,
00:57:42but you didn't
00:57:43tell me about
00:57:43any of this.
00:57:44I didn't know
00:57:44he has none
00:57:45of this.
00:57:47I'm telling you.
00:57:48I'm going to speak
00:57:49to my lawyer.
00:57:50All right,
00:57:51I'm going to speak
00:57:51to my lawyer,
00:57:52bro.
00:57:52I'm going to speak
00:57:53to my lawyer.
00:57:54I'm leaving.
00:57:54He's staying
00:57:55as your friend.
00:57:55I'm leaving.
00:57:56I don't got no
00:57:57friends.
00:57:57I don't got no
00:57:58friends.
00:57:58I'm going to speak
00:57:59to my lawyer.
00:58:00I understand.
00:58:01But, Kobe,
00:58:02listen to what I'm
00:58:02telling you.
00:58:04Turn around,
00:58:04man.
00:58:04Let's talk.
00:58:05Turn around.
00:58:06Let's talk.
00:58:07That's disrespectful
00:58:07I'm going to turn
00:58:08your back on me.
00:58:09Y'all seen I was
00:58:11a mom and an
00:58:11armed robbery
00:58:12about some
00:58:12talking about
00:58:13that no more.
00:58:15I'm here for you.
00:58:17I think this is
00:58:18the best detective
00:58:19unit in the state,
00:58:20probably in the world.
00:58:22They're great
00:58:23at what they do.
00:58:24They'll find the truth.
00:58:25I guarantee you
00:58:26that.
00:58:26They'll find it,
00:58:27but I wasn't there.
00:58:28They'll find the truth.
00:58:29Yeah.
00:58:30I'm always around,
00:58:31so call me if you
00:58:32need to talk to me
00:58:33about this.
00:58:34All right.
00:58:40He loaded up,
00:58:41so it's not
00:58:41what you can do.
00:58:42Oh, yeah,
00:58:43he loaded up.
00:58:43He was being
00:58:44faced with too much
00:58:45music.
00:58:45But I did leave
00:58:46him with,
00:58:48I'll be here.
00:58:49I can just have
00:58:50somebody call me.
00:58:50We'll talk it out.
00:58:53When I got the
00:58:54call that he was
00:58:54down here,
00:58:55I had to get
00:58:55prepared to put
00:58:56the Big Brother
00:58:57coat on.
00:58:58Sergeant Mike
00:58:59Brown first met
00:59:00Kobe several years
00:59:01ago as a school
00:59:02resource officer.
00:59:03I played football
00:59:04with his uncle
00:59:05in high school,
00:59:06and he walked
00:59:07up to me like,
00:59:08hey, you know
00:59:08my family.
00:59:09And so we formed
00:59:10a pretty good rapport,
00:59:11good relationship,
00:59:12and I always kept
00:59:14that door open
00:59:14with him like,
00:59:15hey, man,
00:59:16if you need
00:59:16something,
00:59:17I'm there for you.
00:59:18But in this case,
00:59:19it's different.
00:59:20I mean, it's a murder,
00:59:21so it's kind of hard
00:59:23to break that barrier
00:59:24right now.
00:59:25Probation officer
00:59:26called just now.
00:59:28Yeah.
00:59:30Kobe's mom
00:59:31called her.
00:59:31She found credit
00:59:33cards and debit
00:59:33cards with Hispanic
00:59:34names and
00:59:36Christian's room.
00:59:37According to the
00:59:38parole officer,
00:59:39the cards were
00:59:40found in a bedroom
00:59:41shared by Kobe's
00:59:42two younger brothers.
00:59:44Kobe's got a brother
00:59:45named Christian
00:59:46and a brother
00:59:47named Jameson.
00:59:53Christian Bryant?
00:59:5420-year-old
00:59:54Christian Bryant
00:59:55has no prior convictions.
01:00:00This is Jameson Bryant.
01:00:0218-year-old Jameson Bryant
01:00:04also has no prior convictions.
01:00:06The thing is,
01:00:07is we have four suspects,
01:00:09so it could be all them
01:00:10and Tristan.
01:00:12I'm ready to go home.
01:00:14Got it in the room,
01:00:15you man.
01:00:16Come on.
01:00:16That's what I'm thinking.
01:00:17It's going to be him,
01:00:19his two brothers,
01:00:20probably,
01:00:20and Tristan.
01:00:21That witness approach
01:00:22may be failing with him
01:00:23because he knows
01:00:24it's his brother
01:00:25to be the shooter.
01:00:27hell.
01:00:29Let's go.
01:00:30We've got to get
01:00:30a search warrant going.
01:00:31We need to get someone
01:00:32over there to get those.
01:00:34Give Tiffany the phone number
01:00:36because Tiffany's going to go
01:00:37with Gina and Cockro.
01:00:42That's her apartment.
01:00:43That's her contact number.
01:00:45Okay.
01:00:47Really, if we can get
01:00:47the names on the cards
01:00:49and then we'll do
01:00:50a search warrant.
01:00:51I hope they come back
01:00:51to our victims.
01:00:54I think these are our guys.
01:01:01If the credit card
01:01:03comes back
01:01:03to one of the victims
01:01:04that was robbed,
01:01:05that would seal the deal.
01:01:14Hello?
01:01:15Yeah.
01:01:22I'm going to put you
01:01:22on speaker.
01:01:23I'm going to repeat that.
01:01:25Caitlin just got a call back
01:01:26from our robbery victim.
01:01:28He confirmed that
01:01:29that bank card is his.
01:01:34Thank you so much.
01:01:36That's awesome.
01:01:36That's great news.
01:01:38Bye.
01:01:39Kofor's son fled
01:01:40the residence
01:01:41and she doesn't know
01:01:42where they are.
01:01:44According to their mother,
01:01:45Christian and Jameson
01:01:46left home
01:01:47after hearing Kobe
01:01:48was detained
01:01:49and won't return her calls.
01:01:51Kobe is staying
01:01:52with his girlfriend
01:01:53which is in Goose Creek.
01:01:55That means the clothing
01:01:56is probably
01:01:57in her house
01:01:58in Goose Creek.
01:01:59The team will get warrants
01:02:00to search Kobe's
01:02:01girlfriend's house
01:02:02and his mother's house
01:02:03for additional evidence.
01:02:05It's his two brothers.
01:02:07That's why he can't.
01:02:08That's why he won't play
01:02:09because he can't
01:02:09write on his brothers.
01:02:11I think with the credit card
01:02:13being found now
01:02:14that belonging to the victim,
01:02:15I think obviously
01:02:16murder charge on him
01:02:17and they're to gain.
01:02:18I'm going to go murder on him
01:02:20because he's with him
01:02:21before and after.
01:02:23What the f***
01:02:24he's going on?
01:02:26What the f***
01:02:28is going on?
01:02:34I don't like the way
01:02:35this thing's going.
01:02:37What are you trying to say?
01:02:38I'm going to jail?
01:02:40All right.
01:02:40What are you going to jail for?
01:02:41They just told me
01:02:42they found some stuff
01:02:44at your mama's house
01:02:45and that's not cool.
01:02:47Like that ain't cool
01:02:48because I'm sure
01:02:48your mama ain't
01:02:49have nothing to do.
01:02:50My mama sure,
01:02:50she don't
01:02:51and I don't either.
01:02:53So who has access
01:02:54to your mom's house
01:02:55besides you
01:02:55and your brothers?
01:02:57They don't.
01:02:57And my mom.
01:02:59Okay.
01:03:01So which one of them
01:03:02might be involved in this?
01:03:19Well, I don't know
01:03:20which one of them
01:03:20would have been involved today.
01:03:21I don't know.
01:03:21I get it.
01:03:22I understand.
01:03:24It's tough.
01:03:28I can't point fingers
01:03:29like that.
01:03:29I can't take nothing
01:03:30but nothing.
01:03:33Put the charges on.
01:03:35They're probably going to
01:03:36charge you with murder.
01:03:37I charge you
01:03:38and murder for?
01:03:40I don't want to
01:03:41I don't want to
01:03:42do it, man.
01:03:42Don't put your mom
01:03:43through this, bro.
01:03:44Don't do it.
01:03:46You've got to be
01:03:47responsible for anything
01:03:48that you've done
01:03:49or anything that you
01:03:49have knowledge of.
01:03:53Really didn't find out
01:03:53my mama's house?
01:03:54I don't know
01:03:54I don't know
01:03:56All right.
01:04:03If you know
01:04:04I'm talking to me
01:04:04you know where I'm at.
01:04:05You know the game's
01:04:05contacting me.
01:04:06See if they answered
01:04:07before.
01:04:10He's not coming off.
01:04:11He's going to tell
01:04:12on a brother, you know.
01:04:13So I understand.
01:04:15but
01:04:16it's what it is.
01:04:20Sounds like
01:04:21his brothers are involved.
01:04:24Some of the things
01:04:25may be at his
01:04:26mother's house.
01:04:26It's a sad situation
01:04:27but it never has
01:04:29to happen this way.
01:04:30We all have choices.
01:04:31I told him
01:04:31if he wants to
01:04:32talk to us
01:04:33he knows how
01:04:33to get in touch with me.
01:04:37All right.
01:04:37We're going to
01:04:38transport you to jail.
01:04:39What are my choices?
01:04:40Murder.
01:04:41Murder?
01:04:41Yeah, murder.
01:04:42Me?
01:04:43Yeah, you.
01:04:43How the f***
01:04:47that's not me, bro.
01:04:49Wrong person.
01:04:50Ain't no f***ing murder.
01:04:51Well, you're being
01:04:51charged with murder.
01:04:52That's a f***ing down, bro.
01:04:53That's a f***ing down.
01:04:55Stupid as a bitch.
01:04:55We're going to transport you
01:04:55to the jail, so.
01:04:56That's a f***ing
01:04:57I'm trying to transport you.
01:04:58Dumb-ass people.
01:05:00Dumb-ass people.
01:05:02Taking that s***
01:05:02all the way to trial.
01:05:04I'm calling.
01:05:05It's been a good day.
01:05:07We actually got
01:05:08two suspects
01:05:09in custody for murder.
01:05:11So out of the three suspects,
01:05:12that's Tristan Robertson
01:05:14and that's Kobe Bryant.
01:05:17This person we do not know
01:05:19and he's the shooter.
01:05:20There's actually
01:05:20a fourth suspect
01:05:21that's not pictured here
01:05:22that shows up with them.
01:05:24I believe it's going
01:05:25to be his brother's.
01:05:26It's just not proving it.
01:05:37The next day.
01:05:41You want some water
01:05:42or something?
01:05:43No, I'm okay.
01:05:46This is Kobe's mom.
01:05:48Kobe's probation officer
01:05:49wrote me an email
01:05:50this morning saying that
01:05:51Kobe's mom wanted
01:05:53to talk to us.
01:05:54She wants to provide
01:05:55additional information
01:05:56because she thinks
01:05:57that her other son
01:05:58is involved
01:05:59with the other son.
01:06:02Breathe, breathe, breathe, breathe.
01:06:06Hello, man.
01:06:07Detective Bantime.
01:06:08Nice to meet you.
01:06:11I got here.
01:06:11Two sons that live with you
01:06:13are Christian with a K?
01:06:16Yes.
01:06:17And the other one
01:06:17is Jameson?
01:06:18Yes.
01:06:19Where are they now?
01:06:20I have no clue.
01:06:24When did Kobe move out?
01:06:26Kobe's been gone
01:06:27for about a month
01:06:27and I found out
01:06:29what I found out yesterday.
01:06:30What did you find out?
01:06:31Well, what I heard
01:06:32from Kobe's PO
01:06:34is that first
01:06:35he was being detained
01:06:36and he was supposed
01:06:36to be a person
01:06:37of interest
01:06:38to the robbery.
01:06:41And I was like,
01:06:41what?
01:06:42Like that?
01:06:42You know,
01:06:43I'm shocked.
01:06:44So she was just
01:06:45filling me in
01:06:45what's going on
01:06:46and she said
01:06:47it was a Mexican
01:06:49person that died.
01:06:52I was like,
01:06:52what?
01:06:53I was like,
01:06:53it's funny when she said
01:06:55that I was like,
01:06:55well,
01:06:55I found a Mexican
01:06:56check in my house
01:06:58Friday.
01:06:59Yes.
01:06:59When I went
01:07:00inside their room
01:07:01and it was sitting
01:07:01on the floor
01:07:02so I picked it up
01:07:03and I looked at it.
01:07:04I'm like,
01:07:05I know for sure
01:07:06there's nobody
01:07:06in my house
01:07:07so when Christian
01:07:08got back
01:07:08I was like,
01:07:09well,
01:07:09whose check is this?
01:07:10Oh,
01:07:11I found it
01:07:12on the ground.
01:07:12I said,
01:07:13well,
01:07:13why would you be stupid
01:07:14to pick it up
01:07:14and bring it home?
01:07:15Just get rid of it.
01:07:17He said he tore it out
01:07:18and he threw it away.
01:07:21Sunday passed.
01:07:22I found another check.
01:07:24And there's a credit card too
01:07:25so now that everything
01:07:26is added up,
01:07:27I said,
01:07:27well,
01:07:27let me just let her know
01:07:28what's going on.
01:07:29You know what I'm saying?
01:07:30Yeah,
01:07:31yeah,
01:07:31I really appreciate that.
01:07:34I know it's hard.
01:07:35Pull forward.
01:07:36I can't get a time like this.
01:07:39Tristan?
01:07:40I don't know
01:07:40who Tristan was.
01:07:41We got him.
01:07:43This definitely looks like
01:07:44Dad looks like Cole.
01:07:47And look at that one too.
01:07:50Oh yeah,
01:07:51that's definitely James.
01:07:53Which one is?
01:07:54That's definitely James.
01:07:56He's the only one
01:07:57that wears this
01:07:58third degree jacket.
01:08:00G.I.D.'s
01:08:00the suspected shooter
01:08:02as her 18-year-old son,
01:08:04James.
01:08:06Do you think Christian
01:08:07would be with him?
01:08:08Do you think he'd be
01:08:08one of the guys
01:08:09running in the video?
01:08:14I'm not sure.
01:08:18I can call him
01:08:18if you need me too.
01:08:19Yeah, you can ask me.
01:08:21No,
01:08:22I'm going to just be
01:08:22scared at what time
01:08:23because I mean,
01:08:24I don't have the time
01:08:24to shake a cord or something.
01:08:26It ain't.
01:08:29I'm going to ask you,
01:08:30honestly,
01:08:31you got something
01:08:32to do with this wrong
01:08:32with you?
01:08:34Yeah,
01:08:35I've been able to
01:08:36like them
01:08:37that wasn't involved.
01:08:37How do you mean
01:08:38you've been with them?
01:08:41So you've been there
01:08:42when the robber
01:08:43was the place too
01:08:44because the surveillance
01:08:45touches I'm looking at?
01:08:46I expect all three of them
01:08:47look like y'all.
01:08:48Jameson been there too?
01:08:51I need you to ask my question.
01:08:53Was Jameson with y'all?
01:08:55Y'all knew what y'all did.
01:08:57When I found them checks
01:08:58and I asked you
01:08:58about them checks,
01:08:59why y'all did what y'all did?
01:09:01Y'all,
01:09:01you know somebody did?
01:09:05You're not involved in it,
01:09:06but you've been there
01:09:07when the robbery
01:09:08was going on?
01:09:09You don't,
01:09:10you don't want to speak
01:09:10on the phone
01:09:11so would you like
01:09:11to come in
01:09:12and talk a question
01:09:12right now
01:09:12because this is
01:09:13serious matters to y'all.
01:09:18If you ain't did nothing
01:09:19then why are you running?
01:09:24I ain't the person
01:09:25that you hung up.
01:09:26You said Jameson
01:09:28was with him?
01:09:28Yes.
01:09:29He said of course.
01:09:30Oh, is that what he said?
01:09:31I couldn't hear.
01:09:32Yeah.
01:09:32So all three of my kids
01:09:34and the other one.
01:09:35Yeah.
01:09:36So I don't know
01:09:36what else to do.
01:09:37No, you've done a lot.
01:09:38I appreciate you
01:09:39calling him and all that
01:09:41and if you can convince him
01:09:42to come and meet with us
01:09:44at some point,
01:09:44not now,
01:09:45I mean just, you know.
01:09:46No, he needs to come now.
01:09:47He knows that's why
01:09:49he hung up.
01:09:51I appreciate it.
01:09:53No problem.
01:09:54I think that's about it.
01:09:55I know we have your number.
01:09:57As far as a victim,
01:09:58I know I'm probably
01:09:59not allowed to reach out
01:10:01to them because
01:10:01they are my kids
01:10:02do some things
01:10:03but can I express
01:10:04my sympathy?
01:10:05You know,
01:10:06I do just apologize for it.
01:10:07I can't take it back
01:10:08but you know,
01:10:09it's just not right
01:10:09at the end of the day.
01:10:11Oh gosh.
01:10:12They make their own choices.
01:10:15Okay?
01:10:16Don't put that on you.
01:10:20Yeah, of course
01:10:21he can't come back.
01:10:22It wasn't because
01:10:23there's a choice
01:10:23that you made.
01:10:26I'm fine.
01:10:27I'm not here today.
01:10:28Okay.
01:10:29I'm trying to focus.
01:10:30Okay.
01:10:30But Sarah,
01:10:31I'll reach out
01:10:32to see what I can do
01:10:33and I'll let you know
01:10:34I didn't go from there.
01:10:35It's fine.
01:10:37No problem.
01:10:41She is so cooperative.
01:10:42She's an amazingly
01:10:43wonderful cooperative mother.
01:10:45And all three of her kids
01:10:47are involved.
01:10:47I feel horrible for her.
01:10:49She identified one
01:10:50in the middle
01:10:51saying that looks like Jameson
01:10:52and then she called
01:10:54Christian on the phone
01:10:55and he said he was there
01:10:56and Jameson was there
01:10:57for the robbery.
01:11:03They're in the wind
01:11:04and she's going to try
01:11:05to call them
01:11:06and try to get them
01:11:07to come in.
01:11:08That made the case
01:11:09right there
01:11:09helping us to
01:11:12bring justice
01:11:13to this family
01:11:13quicker than it would
01:11:14have been done
01:11:14if she hadn't come in
01:11:16and gave us
01:11:16that information.
01:11:17She was upset
01:11:18but she said
01:11:19that she wanted
01:11:19to appear in court
01:11:21just so she can
01:11:22see the victims
01:11:24and tell them
01:11:24how sorry she is
01:11:25that her sons did this.
01:11:28Our two
01:11:30outstanding defendants
01:11:31I will send
01:11:32the warrants
01:11:32over to our
01:11:33marshal's task force
01:11:34and they will
01:11:35start tracking them
01:11:36so we can locate them
01:11:37and safely effect
01:11:38an arrest on them.
01:11:49Eight days later.
01:11:51So it's going to be
01:11:51this brick house
01:11:52right here
01:11:55the marshals
01:11:56track Christian
01:11:57and Jameson
01:11:58to a relative's
01:11:58house in Glen Terrace.
01:12:01We're surrounding
01:12:02the house
01:12:02and we're going to
01:12:03try to get them
01:12:03out peacefully
01:12:04but swap on
01:12:05standby just in case.
01:12:11I know you're inside.
01:12:14Don't make fun
01:12:14on the other team
01:12:15you need to knock
01:12:16the door
01:12:16with your hands
01:12:17out
01:12:17or won't have
01:12:18the phone
01:12:18that will have.
01:12:34negotiations are in
01:12:35progress right now
01:12:35and we're standing by.
01:12:38We know they're armed
01:12:39we know they're dangerous
01:12:40so we just want to take
01:12:41all precautions
01:12:42to make sure the citizens
01:12:43nearby don't get hurt
01:12:44nor any officers
01:12:45nor them.
01:12:49ready
01:12:51as the team
01:12:52approaches the house
01:12:56the brothers
01:12:57flee
01:12:57out the back
01:13:2320 year old Christian Bryant
01:13:26is taken into custody
01:13:28but the suspected shooter
01:13:33Jameson Bryant
01:13:34is nowhere to be found.
01:13:37SWAT did not locate
01:13:39in the house
01:13:39they slipped out
01:13:40it's still a win
01:13:41still a win in the book
01:13:42three down
01:13:44one to go.
01:13:52Christian
01:13:53right
01:13:53Brian
01:13:55I know you know
01:13:56what you're up here
01:13:56in reference to
01:13:58I want to get your side
01:13:59of the story
01:13:59of what happened.
01:14:03Listen
01:14:03I've known you
01:14:04after a long time
01:14:05I get it
01:14:05accidents happen
01:14:06bad happens
01:14:07all the time
01:14:08it's hard to
01:14:09talk about
01:14:10because it's
01:14:12but you can't
01:14:13get over the facts
01:14:13of the case
01:14:15we have video
01:14:16of the incident
01:14:16we have video
01:14:17leaving the apartment
01:14:18the facts are
01:14:19what they are
01:14:20this is your chance
01:14:21to tell me
01:14:22what happened
01:14:36so what happened
01:14:37how did it go down
01:14:40I guess
01:14:42they saw
01:14:42a couple of guys
01:14:43and then went
01:14:43everything just
01:14:44happened too fast
01:14:45for me
01:14:45so I was in the back
01:14:46with no clue
01:14:47just going along
01:14:47with the
01:14:48once everything
01:14:49happened
01:14:50I guess
01:14:50I run with them
01:14:51okay
01:14:52how many people
01:14:53have firearms
01:14:53that have with you
01:14:54the only one
01:14:56that I know of
01:14:57okay
01:14:57and is that
01:14:58Jameson
01:15:03okay
01:15:04so
01:15:07so you did not
01:15:08have a firearm
01:15:09I promise
01:15:10did Kobe
01:15:11have a firearm
01:15:13did Tristan
01:15:14have a firearm
01:15:14yeah I'm sure
01:15:15no
01:15:15so I'll say this
01:15:16all evidence
01:15:16is pointing to
01:15:17Jameson is the one
01:15:18that had the gun
01:15:18I'm not saying
01:15:19that you're saying
01:15:20that but all evidence
01:15:21is showing me that
01:15:23right
01:15:24and when are the shots
01:15:26fired
01:15:35so you're fleeing
01:15:36and you hear
01:15:37gunshots
01:15:37as y'all
01:15:37are running away
01:15:38yeah
01:15:42you know bullets
01:15:43don't have names
01:15:44right
01:15:45I understand
01:15:46you did not shoot
01:15:47but yeah
01:15:48bullets don't have
01:15:48names
01:15:50let me ask you
01:15:51something
01:15:51why you may come
01:15:52in here
01:15:53prior to
01:15:53once they had
01:15:54murder
01:15:55I was like
01:15:55I don't think
01:15:56I must have
01:15:57trust me
01:15:57so
01:15:57all right
01:16:02so we may have
01:16:03to go ahead
01:16:03and just get you
01:16:03transported over
01:16:04to county
01:16:04okay
01:16:11he confirmed
01:16:12that his brother
01:16:12Jameson
01:16:13is the one
01:16:13that had the gun
01:16:15and basically
01:16:15told us a story
01:16:16of what happened
01:16:18and it matches
01:16:19up exactly
01:16:20with the scene
01:16:21and what the
01:16:21victim said
01:16:22happened
01:16:24so it really
01:16:25helps
01:16:25it really turns
01:16:27the case
01:16:27from a circumstantial
01:16:28case
01:16:28to a really
01:16:29strong case
01:16:31all right
01:16:33Christian you can
01:16:34stand it up
01:16:34you are being
01:16:35charged with
01:16:36murder
01:16:40no you're not
01:16:41doing it
01:16:41Christian
01:16:44how old are you
01:16:45bro
01:16:4620 right
01:16:47look at me
01:16:50no you're not
01:16:55okay well
01:16:57you had a fool
01:16:58like the head of you
01:17:01yeah you do
01:17:02it's not a life sentence
01:17:05he's definitely
01:17:05has some remorse
01:17:07he's said several
01:17:08times like
01:17:10he's gonna kill
01:17:10himself when he
01:17:11gets to jail
01:17:12because his life
01:17:12is over
01:17:14so like with that
01:17:15we'll let the jail
01:17:16know and he'll
01:17:16be on suicide watch
01:17:18you can see
01:17:18that he does
01:17:20understand
01:17:23the foolishness
01:17:23for lack of a better
01:17:24term of what
01:17:25they did
01:17:27the next step
01:17:28would be
01:17:28obviously get
01:17:29Jameson in custody
01:17:30and ideally
01:17:31would get
01:17:32a confession
01:17:33from him
01:17:34as well
01:17:44six weeks later
01:17:45the marshals got him
01:17:46they zeroed in
01:17:47on the location
01:17:48in Greenville
01:17:49and then got him
01:17:50Jameson Bryant
01:17:51he is the
01:17:52fourth suspect
01:17:53I believe
01:17:53to be the shooter
01:17:54they caught him
01:17:55in Greenville
01:17:56South Carolina
01:17:56he's about a
01:17:57three hour drive
01:17:58away from here
01:18:03that's a good song
01:18:06you need some water
01:18:07yeah
01:18:08sweet tea
01:18:11we have a bunch
01:18:12of fries though
01:18:12you know french fries
01:18:13french fries
01:18:15alright
01:18:16appreciate them
01:18:29you say anything
01:18:30or anything
01:18:30he I mean
01:18:31I didn't ask him
01:18:32a whole lot
01:18:32because I didn't
01:18:33want to get going
01:18:34he knows
01:18:34the marshals told him
01:18:35what his charges were
01:18:36so he knows
01:18:37it's murder
01:18:37and he come out
01:18:38of the cell
01:18:39in Greenville
01:18:40singing
01:18:41and rapping
01:18:42I told him
01:18:43we were coming back
01:18:43and he was talking
01:18:44he was like
01:18:45okay
01:18:45alright
01:18:46let me go in there
01:18:50it's pretty cold
01:18:51hearted
01:18:51put the gun
01:18:52in his head
01:18:53pulled the trigger
01:18:53and then go off
01:18:54damn
01:18:54yeah
01:18:56freaking racist
01:18:57yeah
01:18:59want to talk to you
01:18:59about an incident
01:19:00that happened
01:19:00yeah
01:19:01on the 25th of April
01:19:04basically we know
01:19:04what happened
01:19:05I'm just trying to get
01:19:05your side of the story
01:19:06and mainly the question
01:19:07is were you just there
01:19:09or did you actually
01:19:10fire any shots
01:19:11that's all
01:19:12what I really want to know
01:19:14you've been there at all
01:19:17see that's the problem
01:19:18I'm telling you
01:19:19you're there
01:19:23what I want to know is
01:19:25were you just there
01:19:27with these guys
01:19:28and a shot was fired
01:19:29was it intentional
01:19:30or an accident
01:19:41what happens
01:19:42when you're in the
01:19:43trailer park
01:19:44what happens
01:19:45from your point of view
01:19:51when you
01:19:52when you
01:19:55when you
01:19:56when you
01:19:57when
01:19:57when
01:19:59the
01:20:00start
01:20:00running
01:20:01who started running

01:20:13uh-uh
01:20:13somebody else
01:20:14I don't know who
01:20:15I haven't really fully aware

01:20:51your group
01:20:52firing gunshots
01:20:54I ain't showing you

01:26:10And now one mother has three of her sons in jail for murder.
01:26:15And the other mother has her son gone forever.
01:26:19But I'm thankful that the mother of the suspect stepped forward and did the right thing.
01:26:23That's unique.
01:26:24And I'm thankful.
01:26:26And I know that the family must be thankful towards her for stepping up and doing that,
01:26:31even at the cost of her kids.
01:26:59This photo was when he arrived here in South Carolina.
01:27:22He loved being an uncle.
01:27:24My kids were never without a candy or a lollipop or something, because Uncle Bocho bought it.
01:27:32He was a great guy.
01:27:34Anything we needed, he was always willing to help.
01:27:38Yes, well, like I didn't talk about it, he did a lot of work.
01:27:44To the people who met him, he knew that he was like, I don't have a word.
