00:03and even though the expectation internally,
00:05and maybe the secret was that you wanted to be in the postseason,
00:08do you think that despite the fact you are still building,
00:10this is still a green roster, the expectation year in and year out
00:13should be us talking about going to hockey games in shorts
00:16and being a postseason hockey to be a thing year in and year out
00:19at this point of the build?
00:23Well, it's probably a little faster, a little quicker than expected,
00:26to be honest with you.
00:29You know, we'll talk after the season on, you know,
00:32what it's going to look like for next year.
00:34I'm trying to live in the moment.
00:35I'm trying to, you know, experience what's going on now and take it all in.
00:42But certainly, you know, it comes with the territory.
00:45You get into the playoffs, the expectations are going to rise,
00:49and we totally understand that.
00:51But at the same time, we're giving our guys more experience,
00:54and that's what's important, how to prepare yourself,
00:57for those big games.
00:59Like, there was a game last week when we played against Detroit,
01:02in Detroit, and it was a crucial game.
01:05And we came out, we did some things that, you know,
01:10probably were a lack of experience.
01:12We got into scrums.
01:14We took some bad penalties.
01:17But the guys, what I was so excited about is the guys learned from that.
01:21And then, you know, next game in Winnipeg, we played a very sound game,
01:26controlled our emotions much better.
01:28Same thing last night.
01:29You know, there was a few moments where we felt we deserved more calls going our way.
01:34We didn't get them, but the guys didn't panic.
01:36They stayed under control.
01:37So those are all part of the growing, the experience part that you're going to need,
01:43you know, as you get to be a better and better team,
01:46and you want to challenge for a cup down the road.
01:49Those are the experience that you need to go through first.
