00:00Donald Trump is still insisting that Iran wants to make a deal.
00:04We know Pakistan is also insisting that negotiations are happening behind the scenes
00:10as this U.S. two-week ceasefire is holding, but it's fragile.
00:15Now we know the U.S. blockade in the Strait of Hamoz has come into effect.
00:21Wissam mentioned there it's economic warfare now.
00:24There's been a shift of gears when it comes to President Donald Trump.
00:27But we know the U.S. military will face a lot of complications in the Strait of Hamoz.
00:33Donald Trump talks about the Iranian attack vessels,
00:36the small boats that they haven't taken out yet.
00:39And of course, Iran has laid mines in the Strait of Hamoz, according to them.
00:44Not just that as well, Leanne, but I suppose we have to take into consideration
00:46that you're now within throwing distance of any missiles that Iran can get at you, they will.
00:51And we've heard today echoes of Karg Island and that to potentially have troops on there as well.
00:56And you've got to look at this is home turf from an Iranian point of view.
01:00And so if Donald Trump is going to go in there with this blockade,
01:02which is kind of, as you said, a double blockade, you're blockading it, now we're blockading you,
01:07he's taking a huge risk here because we know that there's plenty of missiles that can reach,
01:11of course, anything that they have in that Strait.
01:14And not just that as well, but it's within drone fire, cruise missiles.
01:17There's a lot of variables that are in there as well.
01:20So he's taking a big risk on going in there and doing this.
01:23Now, again, we're waiting to see what the updates are.
01:25Have there any ships that have yet found out what happens if you go past that red line
01:29that has been fictionally drawn through the Strait right now?
01:32So we don't know what actually are going to be the ramifications.
01:34I don't know if anyone's brave enough to go and take the risk on that as well.
01:38But I would say dangerous territory.
01:40But again, that is the only bargaining chip.
01:43And we've said that before.
01:44The Strait of Hormones is the biggest bargaining chip that they have from Iran's point of view right now.
01:48And I think what Donald Trump is trying to do here is to play a really risky game
01:55of getting them to as close as possible to being on their knees
01:58when it comes to what they can receive into the country.
02:00Because without any ports open, that becomes far more challenging
02:03to try and get it just to the line so that they will turn around and say,
02:07OK, we're willing to come back to the negotiating table.
02:09We still have another 10 days left and more, 12 days left.
02:14Sorry, less.
02:15We have eight, seven days left to go, I think, until the ceasefire is done.
02:18One week, yeah.
02:18So one week from today.
02:20So I think what he'll be trying to do is get them to come back to the negotiating table again
02:23if he kneecaps them.
02:24But he's doing it in a very, very pivotal and also dangerous territory
02:29from their point of view.
