00:00We have on hand 38 days worth of petrol, which is a very good outcome for Australia.
00:07We have 28 days worth of jet fuel and 31 days worth of diesel, which is up two days.
00:14As you will have noticed, these figures haven't moved around all that much over the last month or so.
00:19That's a good thing.
00:20That shows that while fuel is getting out the door at record rates across Australia,
00:26fuel is also coming in the door at Australia's import terminals.
00:30And it's also going out the door at Australia's two refineries.
00:33They're working full pelt to ensure that fuel supply is kept up to Australians.
00:39In addition, I can confirm we have 57 ships currently on the way to Australia with various types of fuel.
00:45Crude oil, jet fuel, diesel and petrol.
00:48That's about standard for this time of the year is what we would expect.
00:5157 ships on the way to Australia.
00:54Also, over the next four weeks, the rolling four-week report, we have 4.1 billion litres of fuel locked
01:03in and contracted by Australian companies.
01:06That fuel now belongs to them.
01:08It is their legal right to have that fuel, and that is locked in to be delivered to Australia over
01:14the next four weeks.
01:15I provide these updates to give Australians the latest information and reassurance that while the international system and situation is
01:24very unsure,
01:26and we are not fully aware, Australians, about how this will play out in coming weeks, obviously in the Straits
01:33of Hormuz and elsewhere,
01:35nevertheless, the government is living nothing on the field and working very closely with the industry to ensure the security
01:41of supply to Australia.
01:43That's what the Prime Minister was doing in Singapore, and that's what he'll do further this week,
01:48going out and making sure nothing is left on the field to ensure that every possible cargo that is possible
01:56to come to Australia
01:57comes to Australia to fulfil our needs.
01:59We'll continue that work.
02:01We'll continue that engagement, and we'll continue to give these very regular updates to the Australian people about the fuel
02:08situation,
02:08as I've been doing consistently since this situation began.
02:12Also, I'll give you updates on the petrol station situation.
02:16I'll do that again today, now.
02:19In New South Wales, we have 109 service stations without diesel.
02:23That's 4.5% of New South Wales service stations.
02:2716 total stock out.
02:30Victoria, 34 with no diesel.
02:3217 with no unleaded.
02:34Queensland, 36 with no diesel.
02:3620 with no unleaded.
02:37South Australia, 4 with no diesel.
02:3917 with no unleaded.
02:41Western Australia, 7 with no diesel.
02:4423 with no unleaded.
02:46Tasmania, 10 with no diesel.
02:484 with no unleaded.
02:49Northern Territory, 4 with no diesel.
02:512 with no unleaded.
02:52The ACT, 1 without diesel, and no shortages of unleaded.
02:56That's 205 across the country, which is 2.6% of Australia's service stations without any diesel.
03:03Again, I give these updates very regularly.
03:05I think that's appropriate to give Australians the best possible information about how we're
03:09faring.
03:10It remains the situation.
03:11I'll end on this point.
03:12Since this war began, not a single cargo that we have expected to arrive in Australia has
03:19failed to arrive.
03:20Any cancellations of forward orders have been replaced and more.
03:24This is the result of the federal government and industry working so closely together every
03:29day to ensure that our primary responsibility, which is the security of fuel supply into Australia,
03:35is being met.
03:36And we'll keep that up.
03:37And I'll keep updating Australians as we go.
