00:00A Flagler County deputy is attempting to pull over this Ford pickup for a plate violation.
00:05The license plate is unreadable, so the driver tries his best to remove the dirt.
00:10But it turns out there's another reason for the pullover.
00:13A concerned citizen called 911 after spotting the driver,
00:17who's a registered sex offender, in the vehicle with two children.
00:21An 11-year-old boy is removed from the truck
00:23and proceeds to tell the deputies that he's been kidnapped.
00:27As they remove a second passenger, this 15-year-old in the brown jacket,
00:32deputies now move in to arrest the driver.
00:34The driver takes off.
00:37And as he tries to grab the deputy's gun,
00:41the 15-year-old gets into the truck and takes off.
00:45A patrol car quickly catches up with the 15-year-old.
00:48By the way, after talking with the 11-year-old victim,
00:51deputies now believe the 15-year-old was also involved in the kidnapping.
00:56The driver hits the brakes and begins slowing down.
00:59As the deputy gets out, the driver takes off again.
01:04A second patrol car joins in the pursuit.
01:07The deputy moves in front to box him in.
01:09But the 15-year-old hits the patrol car.

01:15Both deputies rush towards the wrecked pickup.

01:22The teenager surrenders
01:27and is placed in cuffs.
