00:00Certainly the Yankees, Jared, as we start off with them,
00:02they're thrilled to get the Los Angeles Angels in town.
00:05But how thrilled should they be?
00:07They're not scoring runs.
00:08They just got swept by the Rays.
00:11And somehow this total is 9.5 tonight in a game where the Yankees can't score
00:15and the Angels are actually pitching well.
00:16It's Kikuchi and Warren.
00:19Those are the two starters tonight.
00:20And I suppose, look, this is the Yankees' back-end starter,
00:22so I certainly get that.
00:24But, man, for a team that's struggling to score outside a judge coming through
00:27in the end, what is to look forward tonight to the Yankees?
00:32Not much, Craig, as the Yankees may do, that minus 196 also seems a little bit high
00:36because, like you said, they cannot hit, and anyone is a threat to go right now.
00:40I wouldn't be very confident for the team in pin trips.
00:42That's why, actually, my favorite play is for Angels starter Yusei Kikuchi
00:45to go over his strikeout total of 5.5.
00:48He can get it at plus money at some outlets, which to me seems a little bit crazy.
00:52He's kind of increased his total each game, and, you know,
00:55he's got eight in his last one against the Braves.
00:57But it's, for me, Craig, it's about the Yankees.
00:59You know, they've lost five to six, and the opposing starting pitcher
01:02has gotten six-plus strikeouts five times in that span.
01:05Judge is hitting a little bit, a little bit from Bellinger maybe,
01:08but, you know, the bottom of the order is contributing next to nothing.
01:11The top half is only slightly better.
01:13And the reality is the Yankees, they have the fifth-high strikeout rate
01:16against left-handed pitchers tonight.
01:18You know, they might be excited to face the Angels,
01:20but I don't think Kikuchi is going to make it that fun for them,
01:23at least to kick off the series.
