00:27took him out of the game merely so he could keep the streak alive yeah and to me that's not

00:36and it's one of those uh i'm one of those rare commentators where even if it's my team i feel
00:42the same way about it okay so the new york knicks had a game yesterday against the hornets a totally
00:47meaningless game knicks were locked into the three seed they knew they were going to open up on
00:51saturday didn't know who their opponent was going to be but they knew what they were right so they
00:57like every other team in the league it seems like sat everybody more than half the players in the
01:02league that were eligible to play basketball on sunday where healthy scratches did not play okay
01:07or they invented uh an excuse for why they didn't play so the new york knicks didn't play of their
01:12main guys but mikhail bridges was on the court to start the game why is that important because
01:18mikhail bridges plays every game all the time yeah to his credit all the time that dude does not miss
01:25games did miss last year did miss this year hasn't missed in a long time yeah and he's he's got

01:30chance to break i think it's ac green's record that's right for most consecutive games started
01:34right so i was interested uh in the game against the hornets for that reason would mikhail bridges
01:41keep the streak alive and play 20 minutes 30 minutes of this game uh your meaningful time
01:47he played essentially one possession he played 23 seconds of basketball and then they pulled him out
01:55and he never went back in and the reason he was in there for 23 seconds is that his streak

02:01to him and mike brown trying to be a good guy and a player's coach said all right i know

03:00legitimate starts and plays every game this year but i'm sorry 82 is a different number than 81
03:08one mikhail bridges streak in my opinion came to an end yesterday it should not continue and i say that
