00:00Let's go down the Braves rabbit hole because they won the series over the
00:03Guardians over the weekend yesterday. They won 13-1. They're now first in the
00:07NL East. Chris Sale was back to Chris Sale form. Went six innings with eight
00:11hits, one run, one walk, six strikeouts. It hit 99 on the gun. I was like, yeah,
00:17that's good. That doesn't mean anything to me. That scares me more than anything.
00:20I know. I was like, that's what I'm saying. It hit 99 on the gun. I was like,
00:23all right, man, we can kind of back that down a little bit. Don't have to throw
00:25that hard. The thing is, his slider that he threw where he got a big out,
00:30I can't remember who it was, was 79. What? You're telling me your slider's
00:3620 mile an hour slower than your fastball in that moment? It is crazy.
00:40I think I read something. I think NBC showed the stat last night that the Braves
00:46have more pitchers that throw. The Braves pitchers throw the slider more than
00:51anybody. The top usage of guys throwing their slider in an MLB, it's like,
00:55Chris Sell. I think Bryce Elder was in there. There was another guy, another
01:02Braves pitcher that was on there, too, and I'm like, there's a lot of Braves
01:06pitchers on there, but it's good that you're mixing it up like that. I felt
01:11Sell had to grind it out for the first three or four innings. I just did not
01:14think he was sharp the first few innings, and then next thing you know, that's
01:19a difference in a young pitcher and a veteran pitcher. It's a guy that's a Cy Young
01:23winner, and guys it's not, is next thing you know, he's gone six innings, gave up
01:28what? One run, and it was a home run to center, and he's through six innings, and
01:34then Dylan Doe can come in, and you've gotten enough lead, which has gotten you
01:38out to a plus 46 run differential through 16 games. That's pretty good.
01:46Pretty good. The difference being Saturday night with Martin Perez, he pitched five
01:51innings, allowed one run, two hits, walked three. He has since been sent down.
01:56Unfortunate, and I'm telling you, we're getting ready to have some of these
01:59conversations, be it Dom Smith, be it whoever else, Jorge Mateo, you know, that when
02:04these guys started to get healthy, and the Sean Murphys of the world, and the
02:07Hasan Kim, and Spencer Strider, we're getting ready to have some of these
02:10conversations. It's unfortunate, but you know, those guys at the bottom of the
02:14order did a nice job yesterday. Mateo, you know, four for four. Mauricio Dubon,
02:19I believe, was three for four yesterday. It's awesome, and we mentioned this on
02:22Friday, and I went on a little bit of a rant. It's awesome that these guys that
02:26you didn't even know their names two months ago have been guys you can count
02:29on, and have been guys that can step in, and guys that can do different
02:32things, and you keep telling yourself eventually, and we saw a little bit of
02:36it yesterday, that Ronnie's going to heat up, that, you know, Maddelson's going to
02:39heat up, that, you know, a lot of these guys that you have pinned your hopes and
02:43dreams on for the last couple of years will be those guys at some point, you
02:46know, when you get to May or June or whatever it is.
02:48Well, and Spencer Strider threw a three, threw three simulated innings at
02:52Turist on Saturday. He was throwing his fastball around 95, 83 for a slider, and
02:5678 for his curveball, so he's getting ready to come back in, too.
03:00Yeah, I think that Bo would join me in saying, as long as he is okay in the
03:06oblique, because we know that that injury can linger, can for pitchers, specifically
03:10for batters in baseball, but that's an injury that I don't even care what his
03:14mile per hour were, I just, as long as he got through that outing with his
03:17health.
03:18Well, look, first off, to address what you said about guys being kind of who's
03:28going to come back and who's going to push you out, that's the best problem in
03:31the world. And the best thing that you've been able to get is from Mateo and
03:36Dubon and Dom Smith and Jonah High, all these guys producing, is that they're
03:41giving you time. Like, there's no rush. Don't rush them back yet. And I say that
03:48because it comes to the Spencer Strider thing, where once he starts his rehab
03:54assignment, he'll be given 20 days, right? And so, don't rush him back. Like, take
04:01the full, once you start that, take the full 20 days. I know that Mark, I think it was
04:05Mark Bowman that kind of put out there that he had to expect with the way the
04:08off days line up that the Braves could use a four-man rotation for the next few
04:12weeks or next few trips through it to get there because then what happens is, is
04:19with your days off coupled with it, now you've been able to take your time and
04:23you don't got to bring Fuentes or what's our other guy, Richie, up before you
04:30really want to. And they are absolutely not wanting to bring those guys up right
04:34now. I mean, if they did, they'd already ended. Perez did well, but the Suarez-Perez
04:42thing would have never happened if they were, you know. Because, I mean, I think
04:46Fuentes is stretched out by now.
04:48I got to highlight the moment I enjoyed Friday night. I texted y'all about it
04:52because I went to the Braves game with Grant. And we were waiting for the elevator
04:56and a guy got off the elevator, looked at me, goes, Allie. And he looked at me.
05:00Yeah. Yeah. But he then turned, he goes, and, um,
05:05Oh. Oh. Yes.
05:08Ah. Macaulay. I was like, Grant. He's like, no, I knew it was Grant. I knew it was
05:12Grant. I was like, never, never has this happened. And listen, you don't understand
05:17how much he gets recognized at the ballpark. Like, it's every other person. So, like,
05:21for that to happen, I was like. The man of the people. Graham Macaulay.
05:24It was just fascinating to watch that. Tables are starting to turn, Allie Mac.
05:28It was fascinating to watch the little smirk happen on his face. Like, mm-hmm. This just
05:33happened. I did notice in the Instagram you tagged me in. You were eating at your seat.
05:38You were holding your food. What was that?
05:39It was a Beyond Burger.
05:41A Beyond Burger. All right. But you also had what looked to be something else in your lap.
05:46Was that a Chick-fil-A bag?
05:48I knew someone was going to ask you about that. Yeah, it's a Chick-fil-A sandwich.
05:50What? I just, I looked at it because I noticed you having to juggle your food as you sat down.
05:57Yes. But then I was like, oh, that's interesting. What a combination.
06:00Was it your Chick-fil-A sandwich? No, it's not my Chick-fil-A sandwich. But Grant went to go
06:04get
06:04us drinks and stuff. And he was like, start eating. But what's funny is when he came back,
06:08he goes, you didn't start eating. I was like, I have to have two hands on my burger.
06:14And I have the Chick-fil-A sandwich in my lap. Like, what am I supposed to do?
06:18Yes. Oh, my God.
06:19Well, I was, you couldn't one hand the burger?
06:21No, it's a big burger.
06:22First off, the Chick-fil-A is in a bag. You could put it on the ground. It's in a,
06:26it's,
06:26it's, it's, it's very, it's not going to get dirty. It's in a bag.
06:30Secondly, I'm just surprised in the discipline that you have that you could make it from when
06:34you bought your food all the way to your seat without having to start eating on it.
06:38I mean, because I, apparently that discipline is unknown to some people in this room.
06:43Nobody has ever brought up discipline in this conversation.
06:46I would like both of you to pause on this because we have the morning mailbag coming up
06:51and I got some feedback over the weekend. We already have a morning mailbag person that
06:57wants in because they say we need to lay off bow. Got to lay off bow.

07:40Mill Road over to 285. That's heavy. Eastbound I-20 Thornton Road. That's a little bit slow there.
07:44Just normal rush hour delays. Had a problem reported. Eastbound 285 at I-75. A couple of the left lanes
07:50are blocked. Also crashed Peachtree Boulevard at 285. And don't forget, lights are messed
