00:09Blind in.
00:10Come on, baby.
00:11Get through this grass.
00:14Man, this is a good fish.
00:16Come on.
00:18All right.
00:19There we go.
00:24Get down.
00:26Come on.
00:28Hold.
00:30Oh, oh, oh, oh.
00:54Put your hands together for your 2025 Viva Rica brand champion Mark Robinson.
01:00Hi, folks.
01:06I'm Pat Malone, host and tournament director of the Elite Fishing Series.
01:11Coming off a Frank Risk big win in Slidell, Louisiana, the tour heads north for its first
01:17visit to a classic coastal community, Georgetown, South Carolina, the final regular season stop
01:24of the 2025 Elite Fishing Series.
01:27From historic streets and riverfront waterways to shops and restaurants serving true low-country flavor,
01:35Georgetown blends small-town charm with deep coastal heritage.
01:42And this week, it's time for another exciting stop on the Viva Rita Tequila Top 10 Trail, where
01:5110 of the sport's top pros are invited to compete head-to-head on the Frog Togs Elite Solo Tour.
01:57No teammates, no draw partners.
01:59Where every cast counts.
02:05That's a real good fit.
02:06I would have liked to have him yesterday.
02:09Got the skunk off?
02:10Let's bust him.
02:11And every ounce matters.
02:14Come to Papa.
02:15Come to Papa.
02:17Yes!
02:18That's what I'm talking about!
02:20Downtown Georgetown at Harbor Walk is the heart of this week's event, and home to our daily weigh-ins.
02:28And that's where we begin.
02:30But first, on the pros' menu this week, they'll face severe weather, big Atlantic tides, hidden shallow water dangers,
02:39and a tighter creel and size limit.
02:42Just a few of the challenges facing the field.
02:47But Elite Pros know all about challenges.
02:50So it was no surprise that several brought good bags to the stage, in spite of their tough circumstances.
02:58Ronnie Pitts, Beau Favre, and Tony Gaskin each put together a solid day.
03:04But against this caliber of competition, one good day isn't enough.
03:09With this field, it takes two strong performances to make it to Championship Saturday.
03:14South Texas Pro Will Granberry finished 5th.
03:21Fixed 54th.
03:22But still took home $1,000 and some great hardware.
03:27Florida Pro Reed Brown improved on Day 2.
03:31741.
03:32For a two-day total of 1069.
03:34Good enough to make it through to fish on Day 3.
03:37There we go.
03:38Read the scale.
03:38Lock in at 710.
03:40710.
03:41Jacksonville Pro Frank Risk weighed in 1201 over the two days and won the $1,000 bonus for having the check-it stick big red of the tournament.
03:50Local Pro Rob Beglin made it through to Day 3 by weighing in 681 on Day 1, followed by Day 2's great weight.
03:58838.
03:59Y'all put your hands together for your new leader.
04:01Wow, brother.
04:04Danny Payne puts together two good days of fishing and leads going into Day 3.
04:09Plus, he's going to bring in 809.
04:11Better than yesterday.
04:12Y'all put your hands together for your new leader going in to Day 3 with 1590.
04:19Championship Saturday's Final Four is set.
04:23Payne, Beglin, Risk, and Brown advance to fish Day 3.
04:27Chasing the title of Viva Rita Tequila Grand Champion in the Yamaha Outboards Elite Fishing League's catch, weigh, and release format.
04:375.96 pounds.
04:405.16.
04:41See if we can't get some more of these right here in the last few minutes.
04:45Next up, we go on the water with the Final Four as they head out for Day 3.
04:51The Elite Fishing Series is presented by Discover Georgetown.
04:55Where Southern Time meets Maritime.
05:00A forecast of heavy storms greeted the Final Four as they arrived at East Bay Boat Launch, forcing a delay to the start of Day 3.
05:08The anglers and tour monitored radar and waited for conditions to improve.
05:17Once the conditions cleared, the field was allowed to get their boats in the water and prepare to launch.
05:22With this weather delay and not knowing what exactly today is going to entail, I don't really have a plan.
05:38Just going to go to where I was yesterday and see if I can't get a break in the weather and get some sun and try to sight fish a little bit.
05:46If they're there and I get sun, I feel pretty good about today.
05:51Well, you know, we got delayed from this weather, which is really going to hurt me a little bit.
05:58I had a school of fish that I really wanted to get on on low water.
06:04But this tide is coming up, so it's going to be a little more challenging to find them.
06:09So I may not go there.
06:10I think I'm going to start at another spot.
06:15I think the water is going to be a little bit too high.
06:21And then yesterday I backed up, punted, and stayed up here in Georgetown and went to some familiar spots
06:26and was able to put together a bag that kept me in first place after yesterday.
06:32Again, I didn't catch very many fish, but I was fortunate enough to catch the right ones.
06:36And today, you know, we got, I'm going to an area today that I've been pre-fishing a week or so ago.
06:45It's got plenty of fish and it's a sight fishing area.
06:48And we might have some sight fishing today.
06:51It's got some over slots.
06:53So, you know, if you catch a five, six pounder or a 27 inch or 26 inch fish,
06:59you know, you're going to have six, seven, eight pounds.
07:31The final four have launched their boats, pushed away from the dock,
07:35and made their way to the start line.
07:39And just like that, they're off.
07:44Engines rev and bows raise as each make their run to spot number one for the day.
07:50Each angler locked into a game plan they've been building all week.
07:54They traded quality of a few fish for chasing fish by the numbers.
07:59Out here, every decision matters.
08:02A wrong turn, a missed stop, or a few minutes lost can be the difference between winning or losing.
08:09Some make long runs while others stay close, both trusting areas that have produced before.
08:15There's no second guessing now, just commitment to the plan and setting up for success.
08:20Maybe this wind will actually push some of the bait in here and more fish will start to congregate in here.
08:27Five, four, three, two, one.
08:38Line's in.
08:44All right, line's in, boys.
08:46Frank, Reed, Rob, y'all get after them.
08:48Good luck, everybody.
08:49I got him.
09:03I didn't get a very good hook, Saturday.
09:06Jacksonville pro Frank Riss strikes first
09:09on Championship Saturday.
09:12Stay on, buddy, thank you.
09:14It may not be the biggest fish,
09:17but it puts him on the board.
09:18And early on, that matters.
09:20Big, let's get us on the board.
09:24As Frank fights it to the boat,
09:26he knows a solid start, keeps him in the game,
09:30and sends a signal to the rest of the field.
09:32Slow down, buddy, slow down.
09:36Okay.
09:392.40.
09:43Thank you, sir.
09:44I'll let him go below the gunnel here.
09:48All right, good job, guys.
09:50That's one.
09:52Need something a little bigger.
09:58With Frank on the board, the pressure shifts.
10:02Across the marsh, South Carolina pro Danny Payne
10:04hooks a good one.
10:07But he does all he can to keep it from coming in the boat.
10:10Oh, my lord.
10:11Oh, my lord.
10:12Lord have mercy.
10:13Finally, he's in the boat.
10:15Persistence pays off with a great first fish.
10:175.5 pounds.
10:18Yes, sir.
10:19Stay tuned.
10:20We're just getting started.
10:21That's a good start.
10:22There's more to come from Georgetown, South Carolina.
10:24That's a real good start.
10:25After these brief messages.
10:26Yeah, back it up, but here's the thing.
10:27A weather delay this morning had the pros watching radar
10:29and reworking plans.
10:31For now, conditions on the water are holding.
10:33But these anglers know how quickly that can change.
10:35Welcome back to Georgetown and Championship Saturday
10:37with the team.
10:38We're just getting started.
10:39We're just getting started.
10:40We're just getting started.
10:41That's a good start.
10:42There's more to come from Georgetown, South Carolina.
10:43That's a real good start.
10:44After these brief messages.
10:45A weather delay this morning had the pros watching radar
10:47and reworking plans.
10:48For now, conditions on the water are holding.
10:51And how quickly that can change.
10:53Welcome back to Georgetown and Championship Saturday
10:56on the Elite Fishing Series.
11:03Get out of there.
11:06Get out of there.
11:12That's a nice fish, man.
11:15Come on, baby.
11:18Come on.
11:19Come on.
11:20Come on.
11:31Oh, man.
11:32Come on.
11:33Come on.
11:46I hope she's under death.
11:50Please be under 10.
11:56766.
12:01Good.
12:03Yes, sir.
12:08That's what we're looking for right here.
12:11I need a few more of those guys.
12:13That was good, man.
12:14Now I forgot all about that other one.
12:15I've seen how he was pushing through that grass.
12:16I knew he was, he was what I was looking for.
12:28After Rob Beglin's big fish set the bar, it was clear this day wasn't going to be won by just grinding it out.
12:34But Reed Brown knows what it takes to win at this level and now he's answering back.
12:43Matching pace, matching pressure, and determined to turn this into a two-man battle.
12:49Much better fish.
12:50Much better fish.
12:51Much better.
12:52With his best fish of the day.
12:53Big fish.
12:54Big fish.
12:55Here in South Carolina, most viewers to a live weigh-in never get to see a redfish like that.
13:00Don't know how I just averted that disaster.
13:03With strict size limits, redfish cannot be possessed that are over 23 inches long.
13:08Those are the fish we want there.
13:11And fish pushing eight pounds under those size restrictions just don't happen.
13:17That's what makes this format so special.
13:20Catch, weigh, record, and release.
13:22Giving fans a look at fish that normally would never leave the water.
13:315.16.
13:36Reed answers back and now it's Rob's turn as he makes a move to a new spot.
13:45Oh yeah, that's a good fish there, boy.
13:49It doesn't take long, he's hooked up again.
13:52Seems that every place Rob stops, he catches.
13:56Oh, come on baby.
13:59Stay on.
14:01Stay on.
14:04Stay on.
14:13C'mon.
14:14C'mon, come on.
14:16C'mon, come on, come on.
14:18Let's go, baby.
14:19Let's go!
14:22Yeah, he's got fish...
14:27I just said somebody gave me a four or five pounder out of this pocket and the cork disappeared.
14:56I was like, where'd it go?
14:57As Rob kept building his total, Frank Risk ran into the other side of tournament fishing.
15:03Just one redfish on the day and a pair of flounders that won't help, leaving him to fight both
15:09the clock and the conditions.
15:14As the rain begins to fall on the field, unbothered Tallahassee pro Reed Brown is hooked up on another
15:21good fish.
15:26Oh don't you do that, don't you do that.
15:51Elite pro Reed Brown wraps up the fight that started before we went to break and puts
15:57a solid South Carolina redfish in the net.
16:01Yes sir.
16:04Four pounds exactly.
16:13Four pounds.
16:15Welcome back to the Elite Fishing Series in Georgetown, South Carolina.
16:21As we get back to the water, it's late in fishing period three when every move matters and every
16:26cast counts.
16:28It was shaping up as a two man battle, but on the other side of the marsh we find Rob Beglin's
16:33close friend Danny Payne.
16:35He's fishing shallow and he's hooked up.
16:38This one could put him right back in play.
16:42Get out of there.
16:43Get out of there.
16:44Get out of there.
16:45Get out of there.
16:46Come on.
16:47I'm about to go get him.
16:49Stay on, stay on, stay on.
17:01Come on.
17:13Come on.
17:14Come on.
17:15Get over here.
17:16Get over here.
17:21Oh I need you in the boat baby.
17:23I need you in the boat.
17:26Look daddy.
17:27Come here.
17:28Come here.
17:29Come here.
17:30Come here.
17:31Come here.
17:32Don't beat you man.
17:33Come here.
17:34Come here.
17:35Get over here.
17:36That's what I'm talking about.
17:37Don't mind him in the circle.
17:38That's a beautiful fish huh?
17:40And just like that.
17:428.5 pounds.
17:43A beautiful eight and a half pounder puts Payne back in contention.
17:48But with time running out for day three, Rob answers back and hooks up on a fish.
17:56There he is.
17:57If he can net this one, that could seal the deal and deliver him his first Elite Fishing
18:03Series victory.
18:04Come on.
18:05Get out of that grass.
18:06And make him a Viva Rita Tequila Grand Champion.
18:09Take some fish though.
18:10Eat some fish.
18:11Oh come on.
18:12Really?
18:16You got to be kidding me man.
18:17You got to be kidding me man.
18:23You got to be kidding me.
18:24You got to be kidding me.
18:30What else can go wrong man?
18:37It's a wonder that one that can get off.
18:384'6".
18:394'6".
18:40Oh my God.
18:41You got to be kidding me man.
18:44You got to be kidding me.
18:46What else can go wrong man?
19:00Huh.
19:01It's a wonder that one that can get off.
19:054'6".
19:06A four pounder.
19:08That should do it.
19:11Frank Risk managed just one scorable keeper on day three and finished fourth.
19:17Danny Payne's late charge came up short but earned him third.
19:22Reed Brown ran out of good fish late in the day.
19:391.24.
19:40He finished second and went back and forth head to head with Rob the entire day.
19:46With the final fish weighed Rob Beglin seals the deal and earns his first Elite Fishing
19:51Series win.
19:52I won on Conrad's birthday.
19:57And heads in as the newest Viva Rita Tequila Grand Champion.
20:02Congratulations Robert Beglin on your big win.
