00:00Let's return to our extensive coverage of the ceasefire in the war between the US, Israel and Iran.
00:05Saudi Arabia's energy ministry says it's restored operations in its east-west pipeline that was affected by Iranian attacks.
00:13And that's according to the state news agency, which says the pipeline has full pumping capacity amounting to around 7
00:19million.
00:20This is what is happening. Okay. Saudi Arabia restores east-west pipeline to full capacity after attacks.
00:287 million barrels of oil per day. We're going to bring in Malik China. He's joining us live from Kuwait
00:33City.
00:33It seems as though Gulf countries are starting to rebuild at least part of their fuel networks in the midst
00:38of the ceasefire, Malik.
00:41Malik.
00:42Yeah, that's right, Rob. I mean, I think the first thing was assessing the damage that has happened from these,
00:50you know, devastating Iranian attacks.
00:53Dozens of oil facilities have been targeted across the Gulf.
00:56And from this statement earlier, you know, the Ministry of Energy in Saudi Arabia saying that it's restored full pumping
01:04capacity from the east and west pipeline.
01:06I think we have to remember this is an extremely important pipeline for Saudi Arabia.
01:11It's been able to circumvent the closure in the Strait of Hormuz.
01:14Saudi Arabia has the benefit of having the Yambou port in the west towards the Red Sea.
01:20Okay, Saudi Arabia ministry says work is still ongoing to restore full production at its Khrushche field.
01:29They've been able to export oil through there.
01:32And, you know, just a few days ago, they said they lost that that pipeline was damaged, which lost about
01:38700,000 barrels per day capacity.
01:41They've also restored production to the Minifa oil field, which they said damaged caused 300,000 barrels of loss.
01:50This is how bombed, look, see, this is in the area, this is bombed, see, boom, you see.
01:55They're still working on the Khrushche oil field to restore production there.
01:59You know, Saudi Arabia is, is, uh...
02:02Saudi energy ministry says,
02:04Manifa field production has recovered additional 300,000 barrels per day.
02:12It has the benefit of having that, uh, Yambou port in the Red Sea, uh, whereas Kuwait here, you know,
02:20they don't have any other alternative except the Strait of Hormuz.
02:24You know, production has gone from around 3 million barrels a day to just around 500,000 barrels.
02:30You see, 3 million to 500,000 a day, this is what we got.
02:3530, 25 percent decrease.
02:37Maybe even lower than that after, uh, the latest attacks.
02:41I think it just goes to show the importance, uh, to the Gulf that this ceasefire has, that
02:47how, how, how important it is for it, for, for, for this war to completely end, you know, so that,
02:54uh, uh...
02:55You see right here, this is the another bomb coming, Missile, another coming.
03:00Oil, oil sector, the oil sector, which is the beating heart of these economies,
03:04can start to repair all the damages and start to reach normal capacity.
03:08How important it is also for the Strait of Hormuz, uh, to open.
03:12So, I think, you know, after we saw, uh, the, the talks in, uh, in Islamabad, with the, the parties
03:18not being able...
03:19This is what happened when an interceptor intercepts a missile in a space.
03:24It's come to a deal.
03:25I think the push from the Gulf will be to keep the diplomacy going.
03:30I think, you know, since the beginning, the Gulf has said that there is no military option.
03:35Diplomacy is the only path, uh, towards bringing a, a long-term solution.
03:40Yes, democracy.
03:41We need democracy.
03:43Full democracy.
03:43That's how we're gonna win this thing.
03:46All right.
03:46I think you'll see a push, a lot of, uh, diplomatic flurry from officials here trying to, uh,
03:52you know, calm the situation, bring both the U.S. and, and Iran back to the negotiating
03:58table to come up with a comprehensive deal, uh, that will include, I believe, from the
04:04Gulf's perspective, Lebanon.
04:05Yes, okay.
04:06This is what it is.
04:07Lebanon.
04:07You know, there's a, there's a, there's a fear that Israel may sabotage.
04:11Saudi energy ministry says it has restored full pumping capacity in east-west pipeline
04:18after attacks.
04:20This is what it is.
04:21This is what it is.
04:23So the push will be for diplomacy to prevail, to bring long-term peace to this entire region.
04:29Yes.
04:29Reporting there from Kuwait.
04:30Thank you, man.
