00:00Allah Almighty is the name of the necessary existent being who encompasses all attributes of perfection
00:06and who by his knowledge and power encompasses every single thing.
00:11Wajeeb al-Wujud, necessary existent, refers to that being who is the cause of other existences
00:17but for whose own existence there is no cause.
00:20Since Allah Almighty has always existed, it is not the case that.
00:25God forbid.
00:26He was non-existent first and then someone brought him from non-existence into existence.
00:32Whoever is like that would not be God.
00:35Remember, Allah Almighty has always existed.
00:38He is also called Kadim, Eternal, the one without any beginning.
00:43And then Allah Almighty created the entire universe.
00:47Everything other than Allah is called Alam the world and its plural is Alamun or Alameen.
00:52So this means that Allah Almighty is Wajeeb al-Wujud and encompasses all attributes of perfection.
00:59Meaning any attribute of perfection you find, it will necessarily be ascribed to Allah Almighty's essence.
01:05Either directly or if that attribute is seen within creation.
01:09For example, a man can run very fast.
01:12Running cannot be attributed to Allah Almighty because these are human accidents.
01:17They can occur with humans.
01:19They can occur with animals.
01:21Allah Almighty is pure and free from motion and stillness.
01:24But why would this be called Allah's excellence?
01:28Because he granted this attribute.
01:30In this respect, any attribute of perfection you observe in this universe,
01:34behind it will be Allah's grace and his perfect power.
01:37So in effect, that is Allah's perfection, Allah's excellence.
01:41If an artist paints a picture and we praise the picture, saying, what an excellent picture.
01:46This is not truly praise of the picture, but rather praise of the artist because he made it.
01:52Therefore, wherever in the world someone is praised, wherever there is any excellence,
01:56it will all be ascribed to Allah Almighty.
01:59And then, he by his knowledge and power encompasses and surrounds every single thing.
02:05Encompassing by knowledge means that nothing was ever hidden from him,
02:08nor will anything ever be hidden, nor is anything hidden now.
02:12He maintains complete attention upon everything at all times.
02:15This is his perfection, which the mind cannot grasp.
02:19Ants, insects, birds, beasts, humans, jinn, Allah Almighty has knowledge of all of them at all times.
02:26Who is eating what?
02:28Who is drinking what?
02:29What is being thought?
02:30What illness one has?
02:32Who is being healed?
02:33Who is walking?
02:34Who is stopping?
02:35Who is flying?
02:36Who is dying?
02:37Who is coming to life?
02:38Not a single thing is hidden from him.
02:40And encompassing by power means that Allah Almighty can deal with and intervene in anything
02:46and with anyone as he wills.
02:48He gives life to whom he wills, creates whom he wills, makes ill whom he wills, heals whom he wills.
02:54There is none to stop.
