00:00On behalf of Pakistan, I would like to express gratitude to the two sides for appreciating Pakistan's efforts to help
00:07achieve the ceasefire.
00:10I hope that the two sides continue with the positive spirit to achieve durable peace and prosperity for the entire
00:17region and beyond.
00:19It is imperative that the parties continue to uphold their commitment to ceasefire.
00:24Pakistan has been and will continue to play its role to facilitate engagement and dialogue between the Islamic Republic of
00:33Iran and the United States of America in the days to come.
00:36On behalf of Pakistan, I would like to express gratitude to the two sides for appreciating Pakistan's efforts to help
00:44achieve the ceasefire and its mediatory role.
00:48The bad news is that we have not reached an agreement, and I think that's bad news for Iran much
00:53more than it's bad news for the United States of America.
00:56So we go back to the United States having not come to an agreement.
00:59We've made very clear what our red lines are, what things we're willing to accommodate them on, and what things
01:05we're not willing to accommodate them on.
01:07And we've made that as clear as we possibly could, and they have chosen not to accept our terms.
01:13But the simple fact is that we need to see an affirmative commitment that they will not seek a nuclear
01:19weapon,
01:20and they will not seek the tools that would enable them to quickly achieve a nuclear weapon.
01:24That is the core goal of the President of the United States, and that's what we've tried to achieve through
01:28these negotiations.
01:29Again, their nuclear programs, such as it is, the enrichment facilities that they had before, they've been destroyed.
01:38But the simple question is, do we see a fundamental commitment of will for the Iranians not to develop a
01:45nuclear weapon,
01:46not just now, not just two years from now, but for the long term?
01:49We haven't seen that yet. We hope that we will.
01:51Yeah, obviously, we were talking to the President consistently.
01:54I don't know how many times we talked to him, a half dozen times, a dozen times over the past
01:5721 hours.
01:58We obviously also talked to Admiral Cooper, to Pete, to Marco, to the entire national security team.
02:04We talked to Scott Besson a number of times.
02:05So, look, we were constantly in communication with the team because we were negotiating in good faith.
02:11And we leave here, and we leave here with a very simple proposal,
02:16a method of understanding that is our final and best offer.
02:21We'll see if the Iranians accept it. Thank you.
