00:03Good afternoon.
00:05Hello.
00:06Now go up.
00:07Oh.
00:09Nice job.
00:22Ready when you're all up?
00:24Yeah.
00:25He felt such a good, perhaps one of your best second half all season,
00:30trying to feel not to come away with three points after a very good second half performance.
00:35Yeah, we're disappointed naturally.
00:38You can see it that late and I think you've just alluded to it.
00:41Second half in particular, I thought we approached it in a different way.
00:44It was circumstances around the first half, pretty disrupted.
00:48Build up to the game, Dams wasn't feeling particularly well.
00:53We risked a little bit and he showed the bravery to play, but he wasn't himself.
00:57I think it was a little bit of a knock-on effect to that.
01:00The first half was a little bit slow, a little bit labour at times,
01:02even though I felt we were a slightly better team in the first half.
01:06Second half or half hour, 25 minutes, I thought we were outstanding.
01:12Yeah, controlled the game, created good opportunities, looked more like us.
01:17And to get control against a very good team that had been playing very, very well,
01:22I was very pleased and I felt like the goal was going to come.
01:24It did.
01:26But then unfortunately we couldn't quite manage those last few moments
01:29to see out what I feel would have been a well-deserved win.
01:34And also, in 2026, that's now seven home games.
01:38You've only won one of them.
01:40You've drawn four and obviously lost two.
01:43So there's a contrast in,
01:44if you go back to August to December,
01:47you took 20 points out of 27,
01:49but in 2026 you've taken seven points from the possible 21 at home.
01:53What were the contrasting?
01:56Good question.
01:58Great stats, 90 seconds away from winning it,
02:00which wouldn't have given you those exact stats.
02:03Young group, it doesn't take a genius to look at our bench
02:06in terms of the depth that we have right now.
02:10There's a lot of young players on the bench.
02:11Players are giving absolutely everything.
02:14Maybe, just maybe, the opposition look at us a little bit differently
02:18compared to the first period of the season, which you've alluded to.
02:24Numerous factors.
02:26Yes.
02:28Just to add on to that,
02:30previously against Wolves you were tuning up
02:32and then surrendered the lead,
02:34and this time you both have surrendered the lead.
02:36Is there anything, is it psychological or is it tactical,
02:40as the reasons why you are able to control the games and see it out?
02:44I think there's always the opposition.
02:47I think the momentum in a game can flip naturally.
02:51The emotions and psychological side of the game kicks in for sure.
02:56We've got a young squad, young players that are learning about this level.
03:04We're always analysing what we do, how we do it, and that's certainly one aspect of it.
03:09Keith, there's nothing to choose between these teams now.
03:12Obviously, six games are going left.
03:14You have a long point.
03:14As a manager just starting out, you're going head-to-head about someone like David Moyes,
03:18the most experienced manager in the division.
03:21What kind of challenge is that for you?
03:23Yeah, it's a brilliant challenge.
03:25Every week is, but I'm also a huge traditionalist and I have huge respect for managers like David
03:32that have achieved so much in the game over such a long period.
03:36I think what he's achieved now both times around that at Everton obviously has been pretty special.
03:42I think the way he conducts himself is just class, just very, very classy.
03:49The challenge week in, week out, obviously going up against different managers,
03:52different ways of playing, different systems, etc.
03:54is always exactly that, a really tough challenge for us.
03:57We knew today would be difficult.
03:59We're always confident of winning games and I think we've earned that, right?
04:02But that's never in an overconfident way.
04:09Igor Thiago had a tough start to his current career, due to injuries,
04:14but he's now looking like a world-beater for club and country.
04:19Did you and the club expect this high a calibre of season from him
04:25or has it been a welcome surprise?
04:27I think the biggest thing for Thiago this season was staying fifth
04:31and playing as many minutes as he has with the obvious reason of he wasn't available
04:36for a lot of last season.
04:38So that's your first kind of target.
04:41Can we keep him available?
04:42Can we work on him?
04:43Can we build on his confidence?
04:44Can we integrate him into the team in a way where he becomes effective
04:48in the way that we think he can be?
04:50But the reality is you never know that anybody that says any different
04:53I think wouldn't be entirely honest.
04:57We always knew he had brilliant attributes.
04:59I think he's selfless in the way he plays the game for us.
05:03The goals obviously get all the attention and for strikers it does,
05:07but his overall performance levels continue to get better and better
05:12and he's constantly evolving his game.
05:14And I think he's proven to be a very, very special player.
05:17Tom?
05:19Just on Igor, you've had a lot of good strikers in this club,
05:22we all know of in recent years, but he's the first,
05:25I think 21 Premier League goals is the most beneficial.
05:29How does he compare to the rest?
05:30Is he the best this club's ever had?
05:33Yeah, I didn't work with all of them, but I'm aware of most of them over recent times,
05:38obviously, and I think there's been some outstanding strikers here,
05:41like everyone's touched on already.
05:45Different types of attributes, whether it's back to goal, running behind.
05:49I think what he is, is an all-round centre-forward.
05:53When we think of a traditional number nine
05:55and the way you would maybe build him from scratch,
05:58he can do pretty much everything.
05:59He can drop in and give you that platform to play.
06:02His ability to run him behind and the speed that he has,
06:05the confidence that he has now in his game, attacking crosses,
06:08his awareness of players around him.
06:11He works really, really hard on his game.
06:13So it's probably wrong for me to put him in a bracket against the rest
06:16because I was a big fan of all those players that you're probably thinking of.
06:21But Tiago's obviously pretty special for me.
06:30Yeah, I think that comes from a place where you're wearing it.
06:33You're wearing a little bit of luck if there was that.
06:36I haven't looked at it from every angle, but the anticipation,
06:38being in the right places, he knows where the goal is clearly.
06:41You're not going to score goals when Michael Caldery's making that run
06:45and he's looking for a cut-back or too far outside the box.
06:49For me, it's not a coincidence when you're in the right place
06:53at the right time so often.
06:55Yeah.
06:56Hi.
06:57Hi.
06:57Hi.
07:11We've touched on it pre- and post-game.
07:13The reality is today, if we win the game, we go sixth in the league ahead of Chelsea.
07:18So, it may only be for 24 hours or it would have only been for 24 hours.
07:23But to say that with six games to go in the season,
07:26I think is a nice reminder for what we've achieved so far,
07:32the hard work that we've put in collectively to put us in this position.
07:35We don't take it for granted.
07:37We know what it takes to stay in that position
07:39and unfortunately today we weren't quite able to see out the game
07:43to put us in a really good position.
07:46Last one over there.
07:47John, on Igor again, how much of a lift did he get from playing for Brazil in that goal?
07:58Yeah, he was in a pretty good place before he left.
08:02I didn't see any signs of lack of confidence or rhythm in his game.
08:06He's grown as the season's gone on naturally with the journey that he's been on.
08:10His last performance away to Leeds, I thought he was outstanding.
08:12We didn't create too much for him in that game, but again, his performance I thought was amazing.
08:18Leading the line, the maturity, the selflessness in which he plays the game.
08:22But naturally, the dream of playing for your country, quite an iconic jersey to wear, was special for all of
08:34us.
08:34I think he is on cloud nine, there's no doubt about that and hopefully that can continue for the rest
08:40of the season and beyond.
08:41I know David Moyes is keen to come in, so we'll leave it there. Thank you very much everybody.
08:44Take care.
08:46All the best.
09:03Long time racing.
09:05New Brighton?
09:07Any sign of more, is he there?
09:08Not yet.
09:10Not yet.
09:11No.
09:13No.
09:16Any sign?
09:16All right.
09:17Did I see you?
09:17Did I see you all right?
09:17That sounds good okay.
09:18Good.
09:18You do that good?
09:20Yes.
09:20Can I lift you up on Pour?
09:28Yeah.
09:29Absolutely.
