00:00Only eating at Black-owned restaurants. We're just over a week into Black History Month,
00:03so I had to take you guys to my favorite Black-owned restaurant near me. Sweet Chick
00:06has the best chicken and waffles I've ever had in my life. You can mix and match whatever flavors
00:10you want, so I got maple chipotle chicken and blueberry waffles and like the fruity soft waffle
00:15with the spicy, sweet, crispy chicken. It is so good. Their chicken is just so moist and tender.
00:20And their Nashville hot chicken sandwich comes with these thick cut pickles. It has a lot of
00:24heat to a nice like bright peppery spice, but their ranch might be the best in New York City.
00:29The most herbaceous, like cheesy, rich deliciousness. It's also the perfect
00:33consistency, like not too thick and not too runny. Then we went to this Caribbean restaurant called
00:37Omar's Kitchen in Rumbar, where they have oxtail French onion soup with this melty aged
00:41gruyere and this toasty bread that soaks up that savory, rich broth. It's like so hearty.
00:47They also have curry oxtail tacos. The tortillas were so soft, almost a little bit too soft,
00:51but I love the curry flavor. My favorite thing on their menu was their soursop creme brulee.
00:55So sweet. So good with that crunchy, toasty sugar on top. That's all for today.
