00:00Why is it that everything this administration does costs me money?
00:03Hello! Are you able to hear about the current political state of the USA without foaming at the mouth?
00:07Me either, but we're just going to try to get through this.
00:09Have you ever thought to yourself, man, I think the future of the United States is probably coal?
00:14No? That's because you're not an 1800s locomotive.
00:18Donald Trump has announced an $800 million taxpayer-funded bailout of coal plants.
00:23That's right, we are officially bailing out failing coal plants with our tax money.
00:27Not teaching Americans how to read again. Coal, the energy of the future.
00:31And here's the fun part, you get to pay twice.
00:34First, for the $800 million in taxpayer money.
00:37Second, your power bills get to be higher.
00:39That's right, it's a buy one get one free coal scam.
00:42That's right, so we subsidize the plant with our taxpayer money and then we get to pay extra for the
00:46electricity it makes.
00:47It's like Venmo requesting yourself.
00:49Meanwhile, solar and wind are cheaper, more reliable options that pollute less.
00:53You know, and cheaper.
00:54Look, I live in Phoenix, my summer power bill already says just go to hell.
00:57I pick up the envelope with my bill in it and it's physically heavier because of all the zeros.
01:01And now you're telling me my tax dollars are going to help out a coal plant that's begging for the
01:05sweet release of death.
01:06They've begun testing this scam in Michigan.
01:08That coal plant reportedly cost Michigan ratepayers $600,000 a day to keep open.
01:13You know, if an immigrant cost taxpayers that much, they would build a wall around them.
01:17Groceries up. Housing impossible.
01:19Tariffs made Christmas more expensive.
01:21Thank you for ruining Christmas.
01:22And now we're backing the grid with Victorian-era technology.
01:25But this time you can do something about it.
01:27If you click the link in my bio, it'll take you here and you can sign your name and let
01:30this administration know how you feel.
01:32I got a lot of big feelings for them.
