00:00You said you want America to be the crypto capital. Do you also want us to be the prediction market
00:05capital? And what would be the benefit in your mind of that?
00:08I want the United States to be the markets capital of the world, whether it's prediction markets, crypto, traditional markets,
00:14compute markets and AI. We're seeing a lot of interest as well.
00:17I think it's very important that firms come here to trade and that the liquidity is here in the United
00:23States. Critical minerals is another area. We have a lot of the activity offshore with respect to critical minerals, and
00:30I think that's a national security concern to keep that liquidity here, to keep the deliverable supply here in the
00:35United States.
00:35So we're working together with the SEC as well just to make sure that the United States is the market's
00:41leader, and we do have markets that are the envy of the world, but we can't rest on our laurels
00:46and assume that will always be the case with things like blockchain, things like prediction markets.
00:50If we don't take leadership there, we're going to see these markets flourish offshore, as we've seen. Unfortunately, under the
00:56last administration, there was this drive to just push it all offshore, and there was an unwillingness to work with
01:02these new innovators in technology and finance.
