00:00I want to talk about what I perceive as a tanking problem.
00:03I count 12 teams that would rather lose than win.
00:07Personally, I'd get rid of the draft lottery.
00:09How should the league potentially fix it?
00:11I think you have to come up with some kind of format.
00:13I like the idea of putting three teams from each conference in one pod.
00:16So that would be five different pods of six teams.
00:19Right after this year's, like maybe July 1st,
00:21you do a lottery to see which pod is picking 1 through 6,
00:25then 7 through 13.
00:26This way you go into every season knowing where you're drafting.
00:30And then it just rotates.
00:32So every five years, you're guaranteed a top six pick.
00:35If the Washington Wizards know they're getting,
00:38it doesn't matter what their record is.
00:39If they're going to get picks 7 through 13, one of those picks,
00:43what is the point of losing then?
00:44You can't have a league where you're constantly incentivizing losing.
00:48I think it's the only sports league in the world, in any sport,
00:51in any place in the world where this happens.
00:54What's gone on this year in the league,
00:55I really think it's one of the worst seasons,
00:58regular seasons that the league has ever had,
01:00highlighted by Bam Adebayo scoring 84 points.
01:03If there was ever a year for a guy like Bam Adebayo to score 84 points,
01:06this was the year.
