00:07the Electoral Court over their alleged actions during the general elections of 2025.
00:12The president of the National Congress, Thomas Zambrano, confirmed that they have the signatures of 86 members of Congress to
00:17impeach National Electoral Councilor Manuel Ochoa and Court Councilor Mario Morrazan to work with two alternate judges of the court.
00:26However, he clarified that the process will be postponed to full support from the plenary is secured, otherwise it will
00:31be rescheduled for next year.
00:33The officials are accused of negligence, incompetence and actions contrary to the Constitution during the 2025 election processes.
00:45In this context, Councillor Marlon Ochoa from the National Electoral Council of Honduras announced he will not comply with the
00:51summons issued by Congress regarding his impeachment trial.
00:55In a statement shared on Thursday following the Congress ruling, Ochoa said,
00:59I fulfill my duty to tell the truth, to report electoral fraud and the violation of the trapped system's source
01:05code, the manipulation of biometric devices and the handover to the Public Prosecutor's Office of the 26 audio recordings of
01:11the plot involving Councillor Cosette López and Congressman Tomás Zambrano, who is the president of the National Congress, regarding the
01:18stolen elections.
01:19In this regard, the Council announced, I do not recognize any moral authority in those who have already decided my
01:25sentence in advance.
01:26Therefore, I announced to the Honduran people that I would not comply with that summons.
01:30To appear before a court that has already written its verdict would be to validate the force of a trial
01:36and to beg for mercy from executioners who have already sold out their conscience.
01:40I have appeared and I will continue to appear before the people, before history and before my own conscience.
