00:00The One Caribbean Media Group, OCM, has reported a net profit before tax and a pair month of TT$17
00:08.4 million or US$2.6 million for its financial year ended December 31, 2025.
00:17This is 2% above last year. Revenues stood at TT$299 million or US$44 million, 10% less
00:27than a prior year.
00:28This is according to OCM chairman Fariz Hussain in the group's consolidated audited results published today.
00:36In February, Starbrook News Guyana announced that it was put into voluntary liquidation, resulting in a pair month charges of
00:45TT$996,000 or US$146,000 being taken.
00:52Hussain said, quote,
00:53This charge reduced income by 20% share of the company, end quote.
00:59OCM's Trinidad media business was negatively impacted by a significant fall-off in advertising in the second half of the
01:07year, he said,
01:08noting that its media business in both Barbados and Grenada continued to report strong financial performances.
01:15He said, quote,
01:17The group continued to benefit from its diversification strategy with its non-media segment delivering growth and a positive contribution.
01:26Green Dot, our internet services company, made significant progress with the rollout of its fiber program based in new areas.
01:34This program will continue in 2026, along with the expansion of its interconnect tool services, end quote.
01:43OCM's packaging plant FlexiPack successfully commissioned two new pieces of equipment in the second half of the year.
01:51Hussain noted that this capital investment has strengthened the company's ability to grow its forex earnings,
01:57and focus is being given to achieving even higher levels of plant efficiency.

02:33Based on the group's performance, the board has declared the payment of a final dividend of TT4 cents,
