01:40ate chicken wings hot dogs pizza burgers beer liquor the only veggies we had celery with the wings
01:47best trip ever jeff and bloomfield hills similar back in 97 my brother a couple friends of ours
01:55went on an nhl road trip seven games in eight days pittsburgh caps flyers whalers rangers devils

03:12driving down uh to houston uh to watch michigan play in national championship uh tickets were uh
03:18astronomical flight wise so you know we decided to go down on a saturday for the game and yeah it

03:24well worth it that's for sure was it just you and your buddies uh me and my father-in-law

03:30know he didn't know the next time he'd be able to see one so we made the split decision to
03:35drive down
03:36and yeah it uh it would have been a depressing uh drive home how long of a drive is it

04:12gone out west to follow the tigers so last year we did the exhibition game in san francisco before
04:20the tigers headed down to dodgers stadium and then we drove to the redwood forest for three days and
04:27then we drove up to seattle to catch a game in seattle and then this year we did uh the
04:33padres
04:34and uh made it out to phoenix for opening day in phoenix and then obviously opening day last friday
04:40was back in detroit so we were there as well and it's a great time man what's your favorite park

04:46the bunch out there um of the bunch honestly the mariners have a great stadium interesting it was a fun

05:30ultimate road trip uh my buddies and i we rent a motorhome and we did a few different things but
05:37uh the ultimate one we left on friday went to a cubs game at wrigley that evening we caught a
05:46exhibition blackhawk game at the united center saturday we drove to champagne michigan played
05:54illinois and uh if you remember it was the anthony thomas he scored a late touchdown that was
06:01controversial but michigan won and then uh the lions played the bears on uh sunday that wrapped it up
06:09wow that's awesome that's a hell of a trip yep that was good and we we did uh we did
06:16a cubs playoff
06:17game carry wood against maddox and also caught uh caught the lions playing the bears that time
06:26wow so yeah we've been on a couple pittsburgh uh buffalo like dennis yeah i would describe what
06:34you did in chicago not a road trip but a buffet you had some of this some of that you
06:38got everything
06:39on the plate yeah we had we had tickets for a couple things um we we just bought tickets i
06:46mean
06:46we we did a green bay road trip with the motorhome with no tickets and got tickets not really a
06:54problem
06:55and not really overpaying hey that's awesome and it's funny people are texting in similar things like

07:28morning you're on 97.1 good morning guys um my bucket list uh sports trip took place in uh 2013
07:372013 the year before two friends and i purchased tickets to a master's practice round in 2013
07:45a monday master's practice round and i realized probably in january of 2013 the monday practice
07:54round was the same night at the national championship game even though i didn't know where the where the
08:00final four was being played i told my buddies let's change our flight and come home instead of monday
08:06night let's change our flight and come home on tuesday morning so it turns out michigan makes a
08:12run they uh they go to the final four we uh we had friends from michigan attending the semi-finals
08:20michigan was playing at illinois i'm sorry syracuse and we had our friends purchase tickets from syracuse
08:27fans who weren't going to attend the final and we uh we attended so we had a mass we attended
08:33the
08:33masters practice round and the ncaa championship game in 2013 michigan versus louisville there was
08:40only one problem we couldn't get we couldn't find a rental car to go from augusta to atlanta so we
08:49finally found someone who would rent us a blue pickup truck with a confederate flag and a gun rack
08:57and we drove from augusta to atlanta singing the deliverance song the entire way but it ain't ding
09:06ding ding ding ding ding ding ding but it was one of the greatest sports days of our lives and
09:11just a
09:12very very memorable trip the only bad part was was the final score in the championship games yeah how
09:18about that working out for you were the final force in atlanta while you're going to the masters at
09:22augusta that's awesome so we had a text that says the indy 500 is a blast says it spring break
09:31mardi gras and camping all rolled into one yeah i know while while lucy's down in west lafayette
09:38i want to go down for one of them and take her over there because i've never been there well

09:43get to jim and fenton because he has and he can tell us is that true is it mardi gras

09:54could ever want to do and go see cars race around on oval uh we'd leave on thursday night rent

10:04make a uh temporary uh platform on the top and go over to canada get some really good beers and
10:14camp out
10:14thursday friday saturday and then make the mad dash to the infield on sunday
10:22pass out on the platform until uh the race starts and just have a great time in the infield it's
10:31insane if you've ever you ever want to do something like that go for it can't beat it john huh

10:46as i look down we got people that want to spotlight the field of dreams game oh yeah oh yeah
10:52uh an nba kind of run through where you get a bunch of games in in a short amount of
10:56time
10:57kentucky derby bunch of phone calls we'll get to that we are going to talk red wings later in the
11:01hour last night was another example of brutal painful agony blowing a lead in the final 15
11:07seconds of the game and then twisting the knife yeah ken daniels point someone had to win it kept
11:12going ot and then a shootout and that someone wasn't us if this team's in need of a shakeup
11:19what do they do i know dylan larkin takes a lot of heat we'll have that discussion at 8 50
