Als Timo merkt, dass er sich zu Männern hingezogen fühlt, wird aus „innerlich still sein“ schnell „bitte ändern“. Hannah dagegen tastet sich immer mehr an Dinge heran, die mit den Familienwerten nicht zusammenpassen. Das Ganze ist kein leichter Coming-of-Age-Postkartenfilm, sondern eher ein Druckkessel aus Liebe, Angst und Kontrolle. Man spürt, wie Religion und Tradition nicht nur Alltag sind, sondern wie sie Entscheidungen festnageln.
