00:11Well welcome to beautiful Whistler Blackcomb here in British Columbia.
00:15We're here for the 60th anniversary.
00:17And we've been promised a few tips from the locals to help you get the most out of a visit
00:21to North America's largest skis.

00:29With more than 200 runs spread across two enormous mountains and more than 30 square kilometers of terrain,
00:36there's a lot to take in, from family-friendly groomed trails to extreme double blacks and powder-filled tree runs.

00:46To make it easier for first-timers to find their way around, a series of wonder routes has been established,
00:52allowing for a choose-your-own-adventure style trip from high alpine areas to the cosy bars and restaurants dotted
00:59across the resort.
01:01A great way to really discover the best spots on the mountain is to tag along with a local.
01:05And who better to act as a guide than an Olympian who competed here at the 2010 Winter Olympics.
01:13And it was actually a dream of mine from grade five that I wanted to be in the Olympics and
01:18ski down my dad's run.
01:19And that was before the Olympics for even a twinkle in Whistler's eye.
01:23And it ended up happening.
01:26So close. Almost on my dad's run. Just down the road.
01:39There's also a wide range of winter activities beyond the slopes,
01:42from hot springs to zip-lining and snowmobile tours into the forest.
01:52So if you get a chance, get out here. It's a magic season at Whistler Blackburn.
