00:00What are you doing?
00:01I'm picking up notes of cherry, berry, maybe tropical fruit.
00:08Chuck, it's fruity rainbow from 5-Hour Energy.
00:11Oh, yes. Refined.
00:21Warning, Dave and Chuck the Freak are going dark-sided.
00:25Everything's ungodly! Dark-sided!
00:29Fun Easter day with the family.
00:32Little Easter egg hunt underway.
00:36Everyone dressed in their best, looking great.
00:40Oh, what's that? Is that an egg?
00:42Or is it a grenade?
00:44That's a skull.
00:45A skull.
00:46A human skull.
00:48I found something.
00:50I found something, Dad.
00:52In Long Beach, investigators have confirmed that a small human skull
00:56was found buried during a family's Easter egg hunt at a Long Beach park.
01:01A baby skull?
01:02A small human skull?
01:03A small human skull?
01:05That's not cool.
01:05A small human skull?
01:06That's not cool, Lisa.
01:08I know it's not cool.
01:09A big skull?
01:11A small?
01:12It could have been, like, Jason-sized skull.
01:14It could be just-
01:15My skull.
01:17Uh-oh.
01:18No.
01:18No.
01:19I think even your skull.
01:20Is that a chipmunk?
01:21No, it's Jason.
01:22Yeah.
01:23Here's the story from KTLA.
01:27A Sunday Easter egg hunt turns grim when a small human skull is uncovered as kids were searching for treats.
01:35The discovery was made at DeForest Park in Long Beach Easter morning.
01:39A skull was found partially buried in the dirt.
01:42A day after cracked, plastic eggs could still be seen deserted, as well as a rose possibly left by someone
01:50paying their respects.
01:52It was really crowded here yesterday.
01:54The whole place was full of people barbecuing, having a really good time, Easter egg hunting.
02:00It's just so sad what happened.
02:02And then on Easter Sunday, then the kids to find it.
02:05So that's very, that's very disturbing.
02:08Run alone!
02:10Members of LA County's medical examiner team responded and say they recovered a skeletonized human skull
02:17and brought it to their forensic science center for further study.
02:20It makes me uneasy because I have a grandson and I take him to this park all the time.
02:25And I just live down the street right here on Adair Street.
02:30And it, I don't know, I just, I'm beside myself to hear that.
02:35Nearby residents who heard about the gruesome discovery say they were disheartened to learn of the findings on such a
02:42holy holiday.
02:43Well, that would have been shocking, you know, like, that would have just, you know, like, I don't know, like,
02:47killed the whole, you know, like, the whole mood of the Easter, you know?
02:50Because, you know, finding something like that, it's shocking.
02:54Investigators have not released many details about the incident.
02:57A portion of the park was cornered off with crime scene tape as detectives spent the day looking for more
03:03human remains along the busy park.
03:06It's unclear how long the skull had been there.
03:10Well, it was buried.
03:11And tonight the remains are still being examined, but it's believed to belong to a child due to its small
03:18size.
03:18Thank you, Dave.
03:20Why?
03:20Why would they bury a child at the park?
03:23I wonder.
03:24It's not for a good reason.
03:25No.
03:26Somebody put a rose?
03:27Well, yeah.
03:28I think just like paying tribute to the background.
03:30Oh, I see.
03:30You saw the families there that wore, you know, the jean shorts.
03:34Yeah.
03:34Someone has passed.
03:35Let's...
03:36Yeah, they're paying their respects.
03:38I see.
03:38Put that fake rose down there, but...
03:40No more child skulls today.
03:43Okay, what about...
03:44Oh, I just got one more, Ben.
03:46I just got one more, Ben.
03:47Child skulls?
03:48Oh, no.
03:48Child missing hands.
03:50Oh!
03:52I know what it is.
03:54That's better.
03:54I know what it is.
03:55Sorry, I gotta get to it though.
03:57You do.
03:57Just because I gotta highlight, especially for people that take their kids to the zoo all the
04:02time.
04:03What?
04:04Mm-hmm.
04:04Keep your eyes on your kids.
04:06Yeah.
04:07No, they're fine.
04:08Keep your eyes off your phones.
04:10They're not fine.
04:11Cause a wolf could chew your kids' hands off when you're not looking.
04:14What?
04:15Yeah.
04:16Yeah.
04:16This happened at a Pennsylvania zoo.
04:18The parents of a 17-month-old are facing endangerment after the toddler stuck his hand
04:23under the wolf fence enclosure.
04:26Can't do that.
04:26While they were too busy on their devices.
04:30Yep.
04:30Parents now facing charges here.
04:33The story from CBS News.
04:36A family outing at Hershey Park Zoo America in Pennsylvania on Saturday turned into a frightening
04:41scene after a 17-month toddler wandered away from his parents and stuck his hand under the
04:46fence of a wolf enclosure.
04:49Zoo officials say one of three wolves in the enclosure grabbed the child's hand with
04:52its mouth.
04:53Quick-thinking bystanders pulled the child to safety.
04:56He suffered minor injuries.
04:57Police say the toddler squeezed through a small opening in a perimeter fence and crawled
05:01into the restricted section near the wolf exhibit.
05:04I thought they'd shoot his hand off.
05:05Investigators allege that the child's parents were distracted by their cell phones and sat
05:09on a nearby bench about 30 feet away from the wolf enclosure.
05:13The parents are now each facing one count of endangering the welfare of a child.
05:17In a statement, Zoo America says our habitats are designed with multiple layers of protection, adding
05:22guests are expected to remain within designated areas and closely supervise children at all
05:27times.
05:28Parents are not off the hook when it comes to closely monitoring their children in spaces
05:33of this nature.
05:34It's a misdemeanor.
05:35They're looking at the potential for up to five years in prison and a $10,000 fine.
05:41No!
05:41Keep going!
05:42Last year, a young boy was caught on video at the same park walking on a monorail track
05:4620 feet above the ground.
05:48The ride was not in service that day, and luckily, the child was uninjured.
05:53And Tony, we went inside the park earlier this afternoon.
05:56Things seem to be getting back to normal with all three wolves on display for people to
06:01see Tony.
06:03Even after a taste of blood, they still...
06:05They're wolves, you know?
06:06They're going to eat your kids if they can.
06:10There's nursery rhymes about it.
06:13Who's afraid of the big bad wolf?
06:15You know?
06:16Yeah.
06:16Don't put your hands in there.
06:17Also, I mean, I guess if your kid's 17 months old, let's keep an eye on them.
06:22Thank goodness, though, because the story, I believe, yesterday said that was like...
06:25Chewed their hands off.
06:27Way different.
06:27I thought it was chewed the hands off.
06:29So is this old, or did they update?
06:34Chewed his hands off.
06:35That's what it was yesterday.
06:37Yes.
06:37That's what it said.
06:39Lost his hands.
06:40Fake news.
06:42Fake news, or that was fake news, and they did.
06:45Or they're trying not to be too graphic, so they...
06:48Well, they would tell you that.
06:51They love to be graphic.
06:53Grabbed a hand or chewed it off.
06:54That's two different...
06:55Two completely different things.
06:58The news loves to tell you.
06:59They said minor injuries.
07:01There you go.
07:01Yeah.
07:02That's no big deal.
07:03Some scratches.
07:04Where did you guys see it at?
07:05Yesterday, the story was double amputee or something like...
07:08What?
07:08It was like lost both hands.
07:11Yeah.
07:13Dave said it in passing right at the end of the show, and I was like...
07:17Oh, my God.
07:18Was it on X?
07:19A curious wolf grabbed the tot's tiny fingers in its mouth.
07:22There you go.
07:22No, but it was like linked to a site.
07:25Sure.
07:27They just got it wrong.
07:29Yeah.
07:29I guess way wrong.
07:32Yeah.
07:33Seems like just minor injuries.
07:35Thank God.
07:36Well, thank God.
07:36That's good.
07:37That's so much better, then.
07:38That's so much better, because you for sure thought this child had no hands.
07:42Would you have done the story if it would have just been a grab?
07:43I don't know.
07:44He sounds disappointed, doesn't he?
07:45I feel like he is.
07:46I feel like he is.
07:46I am not disappointed.
07:48He just nips.
07:49I swear that they chewed his hand off.
07:51I am not disappointed.
07:52Well, he was ready.
07:53He wouldn't have done the story.
07:54He was warning us that it was coming.
07:55I am not disappointed.
07:57I'm happy for the child.
07:58Child missing hands coming up.
08:00When he was talking about it yesterday, the glee.
08:03He had glee when he just teased it.
08:06Yeah.
08:06Not glee.
08:07Not at all.
08:08Just introed it.
08:09He's like, I have one more.
08:12I have one more.
08:13I have one more.
08:13Bad story.
08:15Child story.
08:16No, I did not react like that.
08:18I think I heard giggling.
08:19Yeah.
08:19We found one child's skull.
08:21Just like, don't come at me, but I got one more.
08:24Yeah.
08:25Mm-hmm.
08:26We found one child's skull.
08:28Now we're going to bite some hands off of a child.
08:31This is our leading news.
08:32What else do you have, Dave?
08:34It's way downhill from here.
08:36He won't be as excited.
08:38No.
08:38No.
08:39Just a person ejected from a car.
08:40Oh, yeah.
08:41How old are they?
08:43Yeah.
08:43Well, not a child.
08:44How old are they?
08:46Dead?
08:46No.
08:46Not a kid.
08:47Broken back.
08:48No, this one's wild.
08:49So this person gets ejected from a car after this wild crash and walks.
08:54Hmm.
08:55Like ejected from the car and walks away.
08:59That's crazy.
08:59Shouldn't happen.
09:00Should not.
09:01Here's the story from Philly.
09:03Happened on I-95 from NBC 10.
09:05The wild crash happened around 940 last night on the busy interstate.
09:09One woman says she was sitting in her apartment, which sits next to 95, when she heard a loud
09:14boom and then a crash.
09:16It appears one person was thrown from the car, but got up and started walking seconds later.
09:21Take a look at the video and you'll see how it all played out.
09:24It looks like a typical night on 95.
09:26Traffic is moving along and then a car comes out of nowhere, appears to cross three lanes
09:31without hitting another vehicle and then hits the concrete barrier, flips and ends up on
09:37its roof.
09:37Debris goes flying everywhere and then you realize one of the people who was inside the
09:43car is now sitting on the highway.
09:45After a second, they get up and that's when you see a bunch of people run up to help everyone
09:50who is still trapped inside.
09:52This video is from a surveillance camera.
09:55The woman who owns it tells us she immediately called 911.
09:59I yelled out like, oh my God, oh my God.
10:02I'm just glad nobody was kind of like speeding at the time that happened and more vehicle
10:06involved.
10:07But like, it was pretty amazing to witness that people are just helping out each other.
10:13Now she said she saw three people and that they all appeared to refuse medical treatment.
10:18We did reach out to Pennsylvania state police to try to get more information about what
10:22happened as well as the conditions of everyone who was inside that vehicle.
10:27We'll let you know when we hear back.
10:31We got to get on another stuff.
10:32Yeah.
10:33But did you see that guy?
10:35Oh, yeah.
10:35I saw him.
10:36Injected and just immediately starts walking.
10:40So where does he come out?
10:42Right there.
10:43Oh, wow.
10:43I mean, I don't know how he's not dead, but.
10:45He hit the wall.
10:46He did.
10:46That's a child for sure.
10:48That is not a child for God's sake.
10:50That's what they're trying to get out, right?
10:50It's not a child.
10:51It's a man.
10:52It's a child in a car seat in the back.
10:54Oh.
10:55They said three people.
10:56Yeah.
10:57Yeah.
10:58It can be three adults.
11:00I thought it was the person in the back seat.
11:02It was like a minivan.
11:03Mm-hmm.
11:04Childlike.
11:05Okay.
11:06Well, it was not a child.
11:07They were three adults.
11:08You don't know that.
11:09He doesn't.
11:10He's making that totally up.
11:11Do you know it's a child?
11:11He's just like, I can't have three children.
11:13It looks like a child to me.
11:14I can't.
11:14I couldn't.
11:15Dress like a child.
11:16Child car crash.
11:17Handless child.
11:18Baby skull.
11:20Yeah.
11:20Baby skull.
11:21This morning, baby skull.
11:23Handless children.
11:24Well, we start here with the baby skull.
11:27So, coming up next, child's hands are viciously chewed off by a wolf.
11:32And we'll follow that up with the child ejected, but oh, don't worry.
11:37He sat right up.
11:39Went over to look at his crushed mother.
11:41Yeah.
11:42And he's doing it in flip flops.
11:44Yeah.
11:45No, I know.
11:45He's...
11:47You might not all be here today.
11:49Flip flops.
11:5125.
11:52He was freaking out.
11:52He was freaking out.
11:54Oh, he's a bit nippy.
11:58It was hailing yesterday, man.
12:00Yeah, something's out.
12:00It was hailing.
12:01Yeah.
12:02In your sandals.
12:03Yeah.
12:03Mm-hmm.
12:05Literally snowed.
12:07Whatever, guys.
12:08My car was frozen shut.
12:10You do you.
12:11You do you.
12:11We do you.
12:12No, you're not doing right.
12:13You're doing it.
12:15We're doing what you do.
12:17Oh.
12:19What's next?
12:20I mean, where do you go from here?
12:21I don't know.
12:21What do you have next?
12:22It's downhill.
12:24It's downhill.
