00:00Well, Iowa established the fact that it was okay to come to Illinois and be a part of it.
00:07And, you know, his passion for the city of Chicago, his love for the state was very much in play
00:19in all that decision.
00:21Great, great family.
00:24Very, very supportive.
00:26And it was, he was the first.
00:30And I give a lot of credit to him and his people and his family.
00:36Andres Feliz at that time was a huge one because both of those kids were elite winners.
00:44They had won everywhere they had been.
00:46And, you know, then it kind of got going.
00:50And, you know, Iowa kind of started all of that and Andres Feliz.
00:55And then it became, you know, we added Kofi.
00:58And, you know, it was back then, you know, there was no portal.
01:03And it was no, you know, get healthy, fast type deal.
01:10It was built, and we tried to build it the right way, laying the foundation first and doing it with
01:16winners and doing it with high-character people.
01:19And, you know, I give those two a ton of credit.
01:22Trent Frazier was in that mode.
01:24DeMonte Williams, they were all incredible fits from a culture standpoint.
01:30And they bled the orange and blue.
01:32And they weren't afraid of work.
01:34They weren't afraid to be pushed and challenges.
01:38And then, you know, that part of it, as I look back, was hard and rigorous and tough.
01:48It was also fun because I knew we were building it the right way.
01:52And we were doing it with the right guys.
01:55And, you know, year two, there weren't a lot of wins, but you could see the pieces start to fall
02:03together and come together.
02:05And that part's pretty gratifying.
