The daughter of late former finance minister Daim Zainuddin has been charged at the Sessions Court in Kuala Lumpur over her alleged failure to comply with a notice issued by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC).

Asnida Abdul Daim, 65, pleaded not guilty after the charge was read out before Sessions Court judge Rosli Ahmad on Tuesday (April 7).

00:53have taken place at the M.A.C.C. headquarters in Putrajaya in December 2023.
00:59She was charged under Section 36, Subsection 2 of the M.A.C.C. Act 2009, which carries a maximum
01:07penalty of five years' imprisonment and a fine of up to RM100,000 upon conviction.
01:12Judge Rosli granted bail of RM50,000 with one surety.
01:17The case has been fixed for mention on May 21.
