00:05oh my god across the United States this is full dude buried in out-of-control
00:16hordes there are treasures you can't even begin to imagine oh my god I'm Matt Paxton
00:25and my team and I are cleaning out properties rain and poop looking for big scores holy one of a
00:32kind
00:32we found gold for our clients and ourselves and if my instincts are right I think this is legit
00:41everyone wins 82,000 so like I say is wow you give me my house back 110,000 I can't
00:49believe this is the
00:50same house three hundred and twenty thousand dollars all right here we go guys we love the
01:08Maryland right by the Chesapeake Bay sweet a guy named Scott called me wants us to help clean out
01:14his mom and her boyfriend's house I don't know if you've seen this video yet man it is a doozy
01:20so we got Penny and Sandy Penny was a nuclear physicist oh so super super smart and this house
01:29is just jam-packed with history really of all kinds I've been in the house since 1988 it's evolved
01:37it's kind of like a living landscape a conglomerate hi my name's Scott and uh Sandy is my mother of
01:4553
01:45years now and Penny is her boyfriend who I've known now for close to 13 to 15 years I've collected
01:52minerals and fossils since I was a kid and the collection grew and in about 2011 Sandy came into
01:59my life and my collection and her collection became our collection and minerals and fossils and antiques
02:06and art filled our house in our lives a huge amount of material and it's become overwhelming every
02:13inch of the house has an antique in it as you see I don't have a place to sit we
02:18need space Lord God help
02:20us it looks full man yeah real full yeah it really looks like two different museums have come together
02:30and nobody came for like 20 years so that's good for me because that means I can treasure
02:36on it boost the African artwork this is a dancing wine from the Sanufo tribe this is a headdress but
02:42human hair napped in they have a room that is loaded with geodes minerals crystals shark's teeth it's
02:52insane that room is a museum on crack there are glass that was formed when an asteroid came down
02:59everybody collects civil war bullets but I collect carved civil war bullets Matt Paxton please help my
03:05mom help Penny out they need you he's got a bunch of rocks and geodes and he's got a bunch
03:12of African art
03:13I mean a lot of risk on this one guys anything that looks museum quality you have to kind of
03:19question
03:19it absolutely the market is flooded with fakes of geodes art masks dinosaur bones rocks you name it
03:30there's a fake out there for it so we're gonna do our due diligence and really hone in on whether
03:36these are authentic well what I see in the video is honestly a lot of opportunity for value I've seen
03:44crystals go for I mean thousands and thousands of dollars absolutely man this could be one of the
03:51bigger payoffs we've seen or we could be walking away with nothing our target items are gonna be
03:57Penny's rock and geode collection their rare African art and those civil war bullets which would be big
04:03money if they're authentic hello hello hello god Matt good to see you finally nice to meet you Penny
04:09welcome all right we are excited to see this house man we've been doing this a long time and we
04:16saw a
04:16lot of things in the video y'all sent that we've never seen before cool I was thinking why don't
04:21you go with Penny and Sandy start doing the tour okay I'll have you guys go check out the backyard
04:27and then Scott since you called me I'm gonna stick with you that'd be great I get calls from the
04:32children of hoarders all the time where they've done as much as they can to help their parents and now
04:37they need professional help to get to the next level our initial walkthrough is just to find out
04:43are any of these items worth any money and if they are we want to meet with the family and
04:47make a deal
04:51Wow this is unbelievable I'm gonna need just a second here Wow a little bit of everything in here I
05:00mean
05:00there are some amazing things I'm seeing in here holy cow I mean walking into Penny's house I don't
05:08know whether this is a madhouse or a museum but I see thousands of dollars everywhere I look can you
05:15give me an idea like what are the categories of items we're gonna find in this room in this room
05:19you're
05:20gonna find a lot of antiquarian books some of the record albums are in this room you'll find some
05:25taxidermy we've got Barry the Beaver Armand the Armadillo they're family members I don't know how
05:33much Barry the Beaver is gonna bring in but when it comes to these vintage books and records I get
05:37really excited this is how we're gonna make some money I think I've seen what I need to see in
05:42here
05:42how about we go check out upstairs sounds good all right is this their bathroom only ones I could
05:52use it right now are the cats is there a usable bathroom in this house they look like this from
05:57this so like this is all right let me peek in here so this is the rock room holy cow
06:04dude I don't even
06:05know where to stand and nothing normal either no nothing nothing looks like something you've ever
06:11seen before I dig that good Lord these geodes just so we're clear I mean this could be thousands of
06:19dollars rocks and minerals are some of the most sought-after and valuable collectibles on the
06:25planet their complex structures and eye-catching colors are formed through natural geological
06:30processes from intense heat and pressure deep inside the earth to cooling molten rock where atoms bond
06:36together and crystallize the slower they cool the bigger the crystals can grow a lot like how
06:42precious gemstones are formed with the rarest ones being worth nearly as much in 2013 a single rose
06:49quartz specimen sold for over 662 thousand dollars I'm kind of speechless and that's it doesn't happen
06:57often I did not understand how massive this rock and geode collection is I thought it was you know a
07:04couple trays right now I'm just dealing with the size of this collection I'm looking at shelf after
07:09shelf I don't actually know the monetary value yet it's going to take me a while to dig through all
07:13these to see what I'm really looking at I'd like to get you down to the kitchen the kitchen they
07:17really
07:17need to get that cleaned up okay they need space okay this the front porch bro that's what they call
07:22it
07:24yeah apparently I mean you got some some cool art somebody's a sale because it's unique how would
07:31you even price something like this though that's why we got Mike all right let's see what we've got
07:37going on back here Wow what do you call this room it was an office at one time it houses
07:44my sports car
07:45collection back when I was a kid Playboy magazine from 60s and 70s everything in there has a story
07:51and personal connection and it's really going to be hard to let it go realizing that and discovering
07:58that I'm human which is hard hard to understand hard to accept um gotta let these things go for him
08:04to even say that he's ready to let it go means a lot all right so this is this is
08:10the kitchen yeah it
08:12doesn't feel like a kitchen they made some decisions like we all do that go in the wrong
08:20way but it seems good at the time sure and now if you guys would help we'd flip that around
08:27all right
08:28I'm gonna go meet with the guys thank you dude thank you for calling me this is amazing all right
08:34guys
08:35wow yeah absolutely I don't know that I've ever seen anything like it I can say I've never seen
08:43anything like this is definitely one of a kind I mean there's some really high-end stuff in there
08:46absolutely I saw museum pieces there's a million items to go through and we're gonna need very unique
08:51buyers and that's gonna be tricky to find where do you think we can make the most amount of money
08:55well I saw some amazing items in the living room I'm curious about the rocks that's where I'm at
09:01the rocks is the room I want to go to I mean I think there's a hundred grand in that
09:05room
09:05like all day long what do you see in outside a bunch of African like wooden masks different kind
09:10of sculptures this is the most impressive hoard I've ever seen they have created spaces to put
09:16things on if we took everything out of a room and then you and I tried to put it back
09:20we'd only get
09:21half the stuff yep and if you step on something if you step on something if you knock something over
09:26it's 500 bucks so please be very very careful what are you on expenses like I think one dumpster
09:32max and labor what would you go to I mean we couldn't get eight people in there no no not
09:38not
09:38eight um we can have that four I would say cleanup cost probably be five thousand all right I'm excited
09:47and nervous at the same time which means you're doing it you're doing the right thing if you're not
09:51nervous old coach Morgan said if you're not nervous you're gonna lose the race we
09:55I'm nervous let me go find them make a deal all right get ready stretch start stretching man
10:00we'll be working all right is this stuff odd absolutely but is it valuable it is the hard
10:06part is going to be working in such tight quarters and finding the right buyers who collect unique items
10:11and are willing to spend big money all right guys hey how you doing I'm a little shell shocked I
10:19don't really know what to do this is still I mean I just cannot stress how amazing of a collection
10:24this
10:25is you know my goal is six figures to make you guys six figures in four days that changes your
10:32life my
10:34cleanup cost should be about five thousand but my team's willing to cover that as long as we can work
10:39out a fair split I think the quality of stuff here is so high I'd probably offer 30% for
10:44me 70% for you
10:46guys I think the answer is 20% and then you shake hands and yeah all right we do good
10:55enough I'll go up
10:5625% give me a number over 250k over 250 there it is quarter million you have to be really
11:04careful when
11:05you're managing a client's expectations when they're so emotional about a hoard like this I don't know
11:10that Penny's gonna be happy with any value we get other than 250,000 and if we only get 150
11:15,000 I still
11:15think that's a really big win but I don't think Penny will be happy with it all right yeah I'll
11:19take the
11:20challenge all right brother thank you thank you I'm excited all right thank you let's get in there
11:28you got a box for me I do all right y'all this is not a regular job that y
11:33'all don't usually do
11:34it's a lot of antiques and it's a lot of fragile things in there y'all ready to get started
11:38let's go
11:39with a hoard this dense it's crucial to show progress immediately if we don't show some type of progress
11:45from a cleaning standpoint and from a monetary standpoint I won't even get the chance to get to
11:49100 grand more or less Penny's insane goal of 250,000 dollars so while Kaylin and Chris are
11:54picking in the kitchen Mike and I are gonna go to the place that we think has the most value
11:58the rock
11:59room this is like I don't know where to go Jenga in nature here's feldsbar fool's gold looks like gold
12:13but it's not look at this what the heck is that it's wood it has moss around it usually
12:19I mean like something like this just blows my mind like these different crystals coming together
12:25he's got some cool old bottles at retail these are four to five grand a piece and unfortunately he's
12:32gonna want retail and that's not what the buyers are paying if I can get three grand a piece I'd
12:36be
12:36happy and he's got drawers of them I mean absolute drawers of them oh my god look at this little
12:43pipe oh I know there's another one over there too that's really nice he told me he had a bunch
12:51of
12:51civil war stuff all right oh man I found something very cool what'd you get this is what I wanted
13:07to find what I've been looking for this for like 10 years
13:14oh look at these what you got civil war bullets this is why we absolutely look through every corner because
13:38believe it or not we always find the needle in the haystack
13:41oh wow some of these are hand carved so like these are three rings and then there's a two ring
13:48do you
13:49know the significance on that just different caliber bullets I don't see any documentation about what battle
13:55these might have been from unfortunately if we can't trace them to a specific battle bullets like these are a
14:01dime a dozen definitely not the big ticket items we were hoping for this is a pretty big hit and
14:07that
14:08means we're really counting on making some big rock sales to pump up our totals well this really sucks
14:12all right man I'm going to keep picking in here why don't you go see what you can find in
14:16the hallway
14:22little odds and ends of things these pieces of art are metal sculptures I'm just looking here to try and
14:31confirm but I think they're by an artist by the name of Dorothy Gillespie Dorothy Gillespie was a pioneer
14:37in metal art she's best known for making large-scale metal sculptures with bold vibrant colors my work
14:44is all from childhood spinning tops bouncing balls she cut and shaped aluminum and steel into abstract
14:53metal sculptures often for public spaces like hospitals and libraries in 2020 the Dorothy Gillespie
15:00sculpture kaleidoscope sold at auction for $5,000 she died in 2012 people still collect her art and the
15:09values only go up and up and up each one of these pieces could sell for between five hundred and
15:14a
15:15thousand dollars all right so the goal here we want to find some of the best pieces just so I
15:25know what I'm
15:26talking about one of my favorite minerals azurite azurite a-z-u-r-i-t-e I got that from
15:33a German
15:34dealer back in the 1990s what's something like that worth between one and two thousand okay this
15:42piece here there's there's not that many of it came from a particular place in Morocco that's five hundred
15:47a thousand dollars just because of this little red it's prostite it's a it's a silver mineral prostite
15:55prostite p-r-o-u-s-t I take Metamucil for that we are finding some incredible rocks in this
16:03room
16:03some of these specimens will sell for five figures individually but so far I haven't found anything
16:08that's gonna get the whale that I need in this room to buy this entire collection oh man that's
16:15gorgeous what I'm trying to do is I've got a buyer that's gonna come in here and I want them
16:18to spend
16:19some money right and so I'm trying to look for what's the most expensive thing in here that someone
16:23will buy oh my god look at this Megalodon well those teeth are certainly up there these Megalodon
16:32teeth you know it's not every day that I get to hold multi-million year old fossils in my hands
16:37I
16:38mean we're always looking for a white whale ironically in this house it might actually be a Megalodon
16:43shark's tooth that's probably four or five thousand four or five grand for one tooth these massive
16:52carnivores began stalking the ocean some 23 million years ago eventually going extinct 3.6 million
16:58years ago they grew up to 80 feet long that's longer than an 18-wheeler with a trailer they can
17:05weigh
17:06over 40,000 pounds which is about 13 African elephants and had massive jaws that could open up to seven
17:13feet which could comfortably fit a modern-day NBA player though long extinct fossilized Megalodon teeth
17:19have been excavated and prized since as early as 400 BC and collectors still pay a premium for them
17:25today in 2011 a collection was auctioned off with a starting bid of $625,000 this is I think the
17:35best
17:35tooth serrations are perfect and it grew so fast the ripples in the enamel finding these teeth was huge but
17:43like everything in this house there's still a very specialized collectors kind of item every collection
17:48needs one item to get all the buyers in hopefully the Megalodon tooth is the item we need to bring
17:54in
17:54some deep pocketed buyers it's day two here in Lusby while I keep digging through the rock room Mike is
18:06going to get started on sales we've got about 50 Civil War bullets the most of these are three ringers
18:13there's a few two ringers well I have 150 in my pocket if you'll take that you know I think
18:19you
18:19just bought yourself some Civil War bullets sounds good all right that's awesome we were hoping these
18:24Civil War bullets were gonna be worth thousands so I'm definitely disappointed in how this is turning
18:30out we have a couple of pieces of Dorothy Gillespie art my grandmother had Dorothy Gillespie artwork in her
18:37home really so it's been looking for it and I haven't been able to find it that's awesome so for
18:43the two pieces I'm at $900 and you've got a deal I can go 900 awesome all right thank you
18:50Mike all
18:50right I've got a really good feeling about these Megalodon teeth and fossils but with a collection
18:57of this high quality and high quantity I've got to have these authenticated so I called an expert who
19:02really knows his bones Steven thank you for coming in tell me what exactly you do sure so I like
19:07to tell people that I give voice to fossils so every fossil tells a story and there's a lovely
19:12selection of fossils here because as you know the price for some fossils has just become astronomical
19:17what he has here they're beautiful specimens like they're these are gem specimens I hope to highlight
19:23what I consider amazing ones to you okay so right off this one here doesn't look like much but these
19:30are
19:30two vertebrae two backbone pieces from an extinct tuna but that you have two together that's an extra bonus
19:36now one of the your voice just went up like three octaves so like you're really excited seeing this
19:41thing I love looking at fossils and seeing the potential for the stories that I can tell when an
19:46expert gets this excited about what you're showing them you know you're in the right place this drawer is
19:51a super spectacular because it has items like this yeah I mean a giant Megalodon tooth okay so the very
20:00largest Megalodon teeth are just over seven inches these aren't in a world record but they are what I
20:06would refer to as gem specimens which means that they're virtually pristine that's just an absolutely
20:11magnificent yeah specimen and that's a couple thousand-dollar tooth yes easily see how twisted that
20:16is this is a super messed up tooth and then because it couldn't become like this after it was the
20:23functional tooth so does that make that more valuable yeah this is a rare kind of find there
20:28are people who are really fixated on I want to have the largest collection of pathological Megalodon
20:34teeth in the world and so this would be something that they would highly prize this is huge these fossils
20:40are real and legitimately valuable I can't believe it unfortunately though I've got less than two days to
20:46find an interested buyer with really deep pockets Penny has a really great record collection and the
20:55best part is he's kept them in pristine condition that's almost unheard of for a collection of this
21:01size between this shelf and what's in the other room there's about 1500 records oh now here we go this
21:10is
21:10the kind of stuff I really geek out on these are NASA photos at the birth of our space program
21:17this
21:17says original this is 1961 Project Mercury I mean just look at these amazing pictures people will love to
21:28have these was the moon landing real it looks pretty real to me this is marked on the back as
21:34NASA July 31st 1969
21:38we've all seen photos taken in space but to find actual NASA photos with the agency stamp on the
21:45back is way more rare and that makes them way more valuable these are legitimate pieces of history
21:55we are here to make money but Scott's also asked us to make this house safe and accessible for his
22:00parents so we've got to focus on making this house clean as possible as well so I'm gonna clean out
22:04the
22:04bathroom while Kaelin and Chris work in the kitchen hopefully we can find more valuables as we go this
22:11is something this is really something that's all I can say about it in this kitchen it's completely
22:17hoarded from the tables to the counters to the floor like everything's covered so in order for us to get
22:24it back to a functioning kitchen we have to remove all of this stuff even the trash the big bulky
22:30furniture
22:31old food all I need to go this might go with that too with all the crazy stuff in the
22:36rest of this
22:36house we were hoping to find some real valuable things in here they don't even sell this stuff like
22:42this anymore this is crazy this is one of the most complicated clean outs I've ever done I mean you
22:54can't
22:54just throw anything away here what do I think would be something he wants to keep and what's rocks
23:04disgusting value even though time is precious I have to be really careful and deliberate in here
23:10because Penny's got all sorts of crazy things in random places you never know what you're gonna find
23:19hang on a second what do we have here
23:32hang on a second I mean that's 14 karat gold I mean I'm literally finding gold in the bottom of
23:41this sink
23:41but this is the way you get a hand pick everything I mean that's gold that's 14 karat gold that's
23:48probably three hundred dollars in gold I was definitely not expecting to find gold and silver
23:53in the bathroom sink but hey money is money we got a long way to go to hit my personal
23:59goal of a hundred
24:00thousand and it's really far from Penny's goal of two hundred and fifty thousand dollars all right now
24:05the rest of this is trash but I'm probably between silver and gold that's probably a thousand dollars
24:10hey thanks for answering my ad about the sports cards and magazines about 75 playboys and well
24:18over a thousand cards I know collectors love stat leaders but local collectors love local legends
24:24even more I mean signed Brooks Robinson card he played 23 seasons for the Baltimore Orioles
24:30uh Johnny Unitas card star quarterback for the Baltimore Colts cool all the playboys are from
24:36the late 60s through the 70s I always read it for the articles I don't know about you but so
24:42what
24:42we'd love to do is work out a deal for everything all the cards all the magazines I'm at twenty
24:47two
24:47hundred dollars for the collections twenty two hundred yep I'm thinking more like twelve hundred for
24:54the cards five hundred for the magazines it's a seventeen hundred total you know what we're gonna
25:01make that deal all right thank you congratulations Dylan thank you awesome
25:09it is nowhere to either sit comfortable for them to even eat in like this is not functional at all
25:16you know I'm trying to wrap my mind around this cabinet right here if we can get rid of it
25:21that'll
25:21open up the kitchen a lot turn out this kitchen is way more than just taking out the trash we
25:26also
25:26want to free up space in here so in order for us to get it back to a functioning kitchen
25:31we have to
25:32remove all of this stuff and cabinets for them to be able to sit down and eat a meal you
25:37gotta slide it
25:37off slide slide go down go down go down go down watch out for the glass 2k the doors oh
25:51oh
25:55without space we can't make these rooms functional and now Sandy and Penny have an actual kitchen now
26:02that we've cleared out the kitchen this house is starting to look a lot more livable but we're not
26:07just a cleaning crew we're a making money crew and right now our profits are still way low we have
26:16a
26:16bunch of old photos that we pulled from out of the house and I think I have the perfect buyer
26:20for
26:21them Greg good to see you man good to see you he acquires vintage memorabilia for local collectors
26:26and museums and there's some things that I know he's gonna want to check out very interesting
26:30eclectic collection oh yeah a lot of magazines in there I love old magazines if they're in rough
26:37condition I sell car ads so I'll pull ads out of a magazine that otherwise is pretty much shot some
26:43of the coolest things I found were these NASA right right those are old press photos very
26:50interesting that's probably where a lot of the value is there's some good images in there I'll tell
26:54you what to cut to the chase 2500 is the lowest I can go I'll go ahead I'll go ahead
27:022500 there we go
27:04congratulations sounds good get some boxes
27:16this just scared the living crap out of me what that's crazy oh my goodness bro I think this was
27:29some of the Africa we were looking for when I first logged in the house and I saw all that
27:34African
27:34stuff I don't know which way to feel this is a nice master like the detail in this man this
27:41thing is um
27:43it's a lot man doing the type of work that we do we don't usually run up on African mags
27:48this is kind
27:50of special hey look K found something else I don't know anything about them they look like Halloween
27:55mags but I guarantee they are way more expensive
28:05it's day three we've got to keep selling everything we can I've still got to find someone willing to
28:10make a big buy in this rock room Mark how are you man pretty good how are you good thanks
28:16for coming
28:16down I appreciate it all right walk me through what you're looking for okay I'm looking for high quality
28:21shark teeth okay which is what I specialize in but I also specialize in rare fossils and some minerals
28:28okay well we got them all yes I see that we got them all it's an impressive collection I'm smiling
28:34ear to ear it blew me away when I started opening the drawers yeah here is a twenty five to
28:40three
28:41thousand dollar piece here's another really nice big tooth it has damage but you're talking twenty
28:47five hundred tops so these are rare shark teeth they're all from one species a rare shark called a
28:56paratotus benedini and these sell from a hundred four small one up to fifteen hundred per tooth this is a
29:07high dollar tooth I would say at least two thousand for that one tooth and you're talking there's probably
29:12eight ten thousand dollars just right here look at that one over that corner yeah isn't that beautiful
29:18that is stuff that's from India look at that incredible and that's probably a five hundred
29:24hour six hundred piece just that just this one piece yeah yeah and this could be 10 or 20. I'm
29:31trying
29:31to think of a real deal I can take him that'll get him excited uh fifty thousand dollars well this
29:37is his
29:38retirement and it gets it you've got to have some space for profit of course yeah maybe I am undercutting
29:43the price because I'm thinking of wholesale yeah as you know I need to make money oh I get it
29:48so we're
29:48at fifty thousand which I think is probably a pretty fair offer honestly you know something's going to
29:53sit for you for a long time and it gives him the financial freedom that he needs I think that's
29:57an
29:57offer I can take him let me meet with him all right thank you dude all right yeah this is
30:04the most
30:04fascinating collection I have ever seen we are starting to get some real offers significant offers what I will
30:11say is the offers are coming in at wholesale prices they're not coming in at retail prices and a lot
30:18of the prices that you and I are talking about are retail prices I've met with Mark from Mark's fossils
30:24he's came in again he's a retailer right he's offering fifty thousand dollars and then in that
30:30we're gonna Pat help him pack it up and get it out of here retail it's not close it's not
30:36I want to
30:37just acknowledge that what can I extract and still get that offer but he's not looking to break this
30:40up that's the offer he's offering fifty thousand dollars cash for all of that retail it's not close
30:54that's right it's not I want to acknowledge that what what can I extract and still get that offer he's
30:59not looking to break this up oh and he's not looking to break it up no that's the offer those
31:03all
31:04those things for 50 grand or nothing I got to feel good about what to get out of it though
31:08because
31:08I'm gonna be living absolutely and that's why we're having a conversation it's your call but I I want you
31:13to think about what fifty thousand dollars would do to your life yeah first fifty thousand I'm really
31:19not interested in letting go all right all right don't get me wrong fifty thousand dollars is a ton of
31:25money but not for this specific collection all we can do is stay focused keep cleaning and keep our
31:31fingers crossed for more potential buyers all right let's make some money we are down to our last day in
31:46lesby I need Mike focused on selling everything else he can in the house like I'm gonna reach out to
31:52every
31:52serious rock fire in the DC metro area but I'm gonna be honest we're working but I'm getting nervous
32:05wow Lenny Bruce Jackson Brown and David Bromberg hey I'm Mike our first goal is to make money but
32:14our second goal is to make space in this house and the only way we're gonna do that is if
32:19I sell things
32:20in bulk lots so you're checking out some of Penny's collections here yeah this is an amazing
32:25collection I don't think I've ever seen one quite as cool he just does such a great job at collecting
32:30some of the best of the best I couldn't agree more I really couldn't I've built a lot of houses
32:36over
32:37the years and now this is one of the very best well now's your chance you could possibly walk home
32:44with
32:44some of these things today but you know I gotta ask what is it that you're most interested in well
32:49I would like to get all the records in these cases here mm-hmm and then in the other room
32:54there's the
32:55contents of the three cases of books so about 300 books and 1,500 records I'm looking to get
33:02$11,000 for everything what is your best offer on these items uh 10,500 awesome $10,500 and all
33:15this
33:15is yours thank you very much man here the stones right here I think we should leave these for like
33:21the frame and I think we should leave the stones too so it can like kind of look like a
33:27front yard
33:28it doesn't sound like a plan excuse me I gotta break it gotta break y'all up right quick this
33:32big-ass anchor it's kind of unique what is it that drew you to these objects um so I'm a
33:46collector
33:47I'm a casual collector I'm also a descendant at the National Museum of African Art that the
33:51Smithsonian has in DC I'm really interested in this Kuva mask right here he's pretty special it's
33:57beautiful let's be real we are running out of time I haven't found any buyers for the rocks and
34:04we're nowhere near the six-figure goal that Matt has for this house that's our minimum and if we
34:09don't hit it we're in big trouble luckily we found dozens of beautiful and valuable African masks and
34:16sculptures scattered throughout the house and that may be the only thing that saves us it's hard to get
34:21pieces that are actually this nice and this well-preserved as far as the collection is concerned I'd
34:27love to make a deal for everything okay for all the objects here on the table I'm at $10,000
34:35I think
34:39that'll be a number that we can all walk away happy with sounds good awesome congratulations Beth thanks so
34:46much uh do you do electronic payments I sure do
35:01it's almost time to show Penny and Sandy the house I mean we're excited we've got over $70,000 in
35:06sales
35:07but it's just not anywhere near my goal of $100,000 and it's really far from Penny's goal of $250
35:13,000
35:14good news is I have one last chance to show this collection to a deep pocketed buyer it's actually
35:20radioactive you know fingers crossed he comes in buys the entire collection and that would get
35:24us a lot closer to our ultimate goal all right Jason how are you dude good thanks for coming in
35:30yeah thanks for having me right there's a lot of incredible stuff in here like for instance you
35:34know if I could just show you this this drawer up here for instance uh it's full of radioactive species
35:40you know I mean of course you know you might guess that from the crazy colors um but even like
35:46this big chunk of uranonite would really make a geiger counter scream what would a drawer like that go for
35:53retail retail yeah maybe 10 grand 10 grand for easy 10 grand all right man you've had time to check
36:02out the rocks and the megalodon teeth what are you thinking um ideally I could buy the whole collection
36:07is that is that an opportunity
36:20it's late in the day and soon this job will become a fossil all that's left is to get this
36:24house fully cleared out and show penny and sandy their new evolved home oh my god it's been a long
36:38time you have a front yard now wow I think we're supposed to meet Matt right here I don't know
36:43where
36:43he's at though there's Mr. Matt sorry guys all right still making deals in there all right what
36:52do you think man it's amazing I'm so impressed I mean I've never seen this clean like this ever
36:58I've never seen the yard really all right this sets the tone yeah okay we were here to do a
37:04lot
37:04of things we're here to do some cleaning we were here to do some sales make you guys some money

38:37room dude we sold all the rocks we got an offer that's why I was late fire came in literally
38:43an
38:43hour ago we got an offer for all the rocks left in the house all of the geodes all of
38:50the fossils
38:51the megalodon teeth including the cabinets ideally I could buy the whole collection if I came to them
38:57with a number of 250 for everything I think they would say yes I would do the 250 I think
39:02you got a
39:02deal dude all right come back at the last minute any day two hundred and fifty thousand dollars was
39:08offered for your your rock collection it will be gone tomorrow wow love you happy I'm happy you're
39:15happy grand total three hundred and twenty thousand dollars this week I never sold that much in my life
39:25that house thank you so much dude thank you all right by the way you made me a lot of
39:30money

39:35make it
39:36over 250 you go to 25 percent guess what 320 you made me an extra $16,000 that's cool thank
39:43you so we
39:44did not charge you for the clean out at all we ate those costs but every hundred twenty thousand split

40:17to put decades of curating into one number but being able to extract from things and focus on everything
40:25else is going to be very liberating this event has given us a quality of life that I was hoping
40:34for I
40:34get to go see my kids more and that means everything I wanted hmm I was scared the whole

41:12but
41:13at the end of the day penny was right this collection turned out to be exactly what he thought it
