00:04you're watching discovery on demand coming up on this episode of orange county choppers
00:11original joe and brian from serve and protect dave paul and myself a call they want to talk
00:17about a bike imperative that we get this message out what's up paul got a problem
00:29we just want to make sure we don't have any issues
01:08so in typical occ fashion we just finished the bike and we got to start on the next one already
01:12it's joe and brian from serve and protect dave paul and myself a call they wanted to talk about a
01:17bike
01:17what we could do or what our visions were what their vision were and how we can make it happen
01:22to tell their story about move over and serve and protect so as you know in the state of florida
01:26we
01:26have the move over law it is imperative that we get this message out and it's distracted driving
01:33and not really paying attention teenagers the number one thing that's happened between 15 and 19
01:41is because of cell phones wow and rather they're getting killed or they're hitting somebody you guys
01:47worked hard on this one you believe in it well obviously it's a it's a big mission for us that
01:53uh
01:53we get this word out but uh we're really grateful that you're all letting us have an opportunity like
01:59this a very important thing for us to get this message out there this is near and dear to all
02:05of
02:05us well that's it when you took your driver's course you know you knew you knew all these things but
02:0820
02:09years later you forget these little things which aren't little they're easy to forget but they have
02:13big impacts and and i think we'll get the story out there and the website you know the florida highway
02:18safety website talks about the move over law and that's where i learned a lot after meeting with
02:22you guys it's a great website a great resource what it's putting together is the face and the
02:26amenity of the officers or the people on the side of the road whether it be first responders or or
02:30like
02:31you said it's just somebody changing the tire it's it's we're excited about this actually it's got a
02:35lot of personal attachments for us i think we need to get this message out for many reasons along those
02:41lives this is our cup of tea could not be more related on the direction this is going absolutely
02:47wonderful people even if you have to wait until somebody moves over you should uh pay attention
02:54because people are not paying attention then people die i have a tremendous amount of family
02:59in law enforcement so to me it's pretty innate you see flashing lights you want to get away from that
03:06i
03:06mean it just seems like a normal reaction to me i think it's going to be a great build
03:11because we can get the message out there it's not hey guys you know this is another thing that you
03:15have to do it's just hey someone's life depends on you actually moving over i thought that because
03:23you know cop cars fast and that we make a bike that looked a little bit more like it uh
03:29like a go fast
03:30bike i guess you know when i wanted to do something short we put the the new uh m8 motor
03:35in there with
03:36uh or the magneto so to me it looked like it would go fast today we're working on a new
03:42uh m8 frame
03:42for paul it's going to be uh stock dimensions uh it's going to be a rigid 160 tire so the
03:51same thing
03:51as the last one we just did for him a single down tube but a lot stubbier a lot more
03:57tight compact frame
04:04so now i just need to creep that in and get that cope on there
04:14so we're just about to build the top motor mount right now we're going to cut this piece
04:17and then we're going to bend it and cope it tack it in place
04:24just like that now we're going to bend it so we're going to get that angle right there
04:39okay now we got the back part of the top motor mount so today we're going to start on the
04:44move
04:44over bike it's not it's this one's a little bit different this is more of a low profile speedy
04:50looking type of bike but we're going to get it going and we have the m8 motor in here again
04:55with
04:55the six speed we got the wheels in from smt today excited about that so we pretty much got enough
05:01here
05:01today uh i think drew's going to start building the handlebars and the exhaust uh and then me and uh
05:08jim going to start lining up the rear spacing out the rear tire and uh go from there
05:15now we're going to be doing like a police bike and uh trying to get a head start on kind
05:20of
05:20making the exhaust parts and the handlebars so i've already kind of started on that
05:24and then uh you know me jim and paul will kind of like bounce ideas off each other and see
05:29what we're
05:29going to do
05:33i'm going to pick it pick this up come in here and slide this up
05:47okay
05:48so
05:50so
06:16I'm going to put some more radius in it, but you know what I'm saying, I just didn't
06:19want to overdo it.
06:20So I'm going to go slow.
06:22You like it?
06:22I do.
06:23You think these are too close together?
06:24No, that's perfect.
06:26No, I think it's going to look good.
06:27Right in the center of it.
06:28Yeah, it still gives you meat to do graphics or whatever.
06:30You can do like standoffs on them too.
06:32Bring it up.
06:33You don't have an inch?
06:34Something, yeah.
06:35And then we want to come, again, we're going to come down in the center.
06:39Yeah, we'll do a strap this way to it.
06:41We'll have another one.
06:57You said you wanted like the horn style bars to sit, so they're going to be like that.
07:02You know, like if they're riserless, they're going to look just like this.
07:06But they got to come back further.
07:08What?
07:09The pipe?
07:10Well, this is going to be like this, right?
07:12Yeah.
07:14I don't know, these are not looking like those bars.
07:17Absolutely.
07:17Coming in this morning, I wasn't really sure how things were going to go.
07:20There's only the three of us, Paul Sr., myself, and Drew.
07:23That's a lot to fab a bike from scratch in the little amount of time we have.
07:28The bike's coming along great.
07:28We're actually farther ahead than I thought we were going to be.
07:31The rims came in from SMT.
07:32They look amazing.
07:33All the metal work Drew's working on is looking great.
07:36All the pre-fitting and stuff that Paul and I have been working on.
07:39So it's all coming together.
07:40And I think once it goes out to Patrico and comes back for final assembly, we're going to knock it
07:44out.
07:44You've been paying attention in there, don't we?
07:47Yeah.
07:47Going home and watching the YouTube videos.
07:49I don't know.
07:50I mean, this is all of my YouTube stuff.
07:56All right, so right now I'm still working on that, you know, the luggage rack on this fender right now.
08:01And right now I'm trying to get the radius I need to tie that in so I can weld it
08:07to this support bracket that I made earlier this morning.
08:11Well, if I'm not done, then I'm going to be hearing it from Paul.
08:13That's the last thing I need.
08:14So he's already been busting my chops enough around here, you know what I mean?
08:18So I'm trying to earn my keep, you know what I mean?
08:21So I'll make it happen though.
08:23This 90 radius of the pipe around it so I can use that.
08:30So I'm trying to set this thing up.
08:34It's been sliding on me a little bit, but.
08:40I'm just making a little fixture that could bend this.
08:43Try to get these bends that I need.
08:46Yeah, so that's kind of like the general idea of what I'm going for.
08:50But I'm going to wait until Paul gets back from the shop before I start welding stuff because he might
08:55want to change it.
08:56Yeah, the goal for today is to get everything at least like built, tacked together, and then I can go
09:01back and do the final welding.
09:02Get Paul and Jim's approval on it, and that's kind of my goal right now.
09:07So that's why I wanted to, you know, quit working on the fender because I pretty much got that figured
09:12out, but I'm not sure if Paul's going to change his mind.
09:15And then just kind of get going on the pipe so I can figure out what I got to cut
09:18because that's the most time consuming thing is figuring out the bends, cutting it all.
09:23And then, you know, once you weld it all together, you're smooth sailing from there.
09:28So right now I'm just going to get going on the exhaust pipes.
09:31Me and Paul have kind of been talking about it before.
09:34So I'm just prepping all my tubes and stuff.
09:37I'm going to be using mandible bent tubing.
09:39It's going to be a two-inch diameter.
09:41So these pipes are going to be really nice, and they're going to sound really good once I'm done whirling
09:46them up.
09:51That looks good.
09:52Okay.
09:54Right?
09:54Yeah.
09:55Yeah.
09:55I just wanted to see what you thought.
09:57Yeah.
09:58Poke all over here and just do just like that.
10:01I like it.
10:03All right.
10:04So I do another 90 here, and I kick this one out like that and say that this part's straight.
10:09And then I can take another 90 and kind of loop it around that pipe like that, you know?
10:14That looks good.
10:15Yeah.
10:15Kind of do like a swirl.
10:17Do it.
10:18Yeah.
10:19I don't know.
10:19I think it would be cool.
10:20You know what I mean?
10:21It would stand out.
10:23I think that this here would look good just coming into here.
10:28Yeah.
10:29And bulking it.
10:30Right?
10:31Yeah.
10:32Maybe just weld it to the strider.
10:34Yeah.
10:35Then it's going to be one piece and it's not...
10:37Yeah.
10:37This whole thing would be...
10:38This here just by flapping by itself might be dangerous, you know?
10:41Yeah.
10:43Yeah.
10:44I'm not out of it.
10:45I think that looks good.
10:46I do too.
10:47I like it.
10:48Yeah, because that's too tall.
10:49But I was thinking if we cut them and pull them in like that...
10:55That would look pretty cool.
10:56Yes.
10:57That's about the height too.
10:59You know what I mean?
11:00Yeah.
11:00Something like that.
11:02And then...
11:02That's the height too.
11:15All right.
11:16So I finally finished welding up the exhaust.
11:18It took all day to do that.
11:20And...
11:20But I'm happy with it.
11:21And the last thing I need to do is just make some exhaust hangers for it.
11:25And then I can finish, you know, doing the final welding on it.
11:28I like the exhaust, brother.
11:30That does look good.
11:30Definitely.
11:31Thanks, man.
11:31Better, isn't it?
11:32Yeah, I think that'll...
11:33You've been paying attention in there, but don't we?
11:36Yeah.
11:36Going away watching the YouTube videos.
11:38I don't know.
11:39I mean, this is all my YouTube stuff.
11:44Looks good to me, man.
11:45I mean, you're really comfortable, you know?
11:47Yeah.
11:47Your arms have got a nice bend to them.
11:49I mean, you're not way out.
12:03Just trying to figure out how to put the license plate on here with the brake light.
12:08So I'm just going to take a current mount we have, hack it down the side here, get Drew
12:13to weld it on.
12:14Once we place it, then we'll be able to put the brake and the license plate right there.
12:19Be nice and clean.
12:21Won't take any space up on the fender to hide any of the work Drew did with that.
12:26And we can just put the directionals on the side on the downward straps that he made and
12:29it should look good.
12:51Today we've got to pretty much just finish up the bracket on the rear fender, which is very little.
12:57The welds and the brackets for the exhaust for the gas tank, which looks really good.
13:03We've got to mount the front fender, caliper, center out the wheel, make the spacers.
13:09We have to do a motor mount and I'm sure there are a few other things.
13:13But I think hopefully by the end of the day we'll be close to being there.
13:18You want to cut the tire?
13:19Yeah, let's center the tire and put the caliper on it.
13:24One and a half to the inside of the tube.
13:34Paul and Jim are working on the front fender right now.
13:37We'll probably end up cutting that.
13:38They're making some spacers and stuff like that on our lathe.
13:41I think we're doing really well.
13:43I think I'll have most of this stuff done today as far as fabrication.
13:46I think we're on schedule.
13:47I think we're looking good.
13:49Nice bike.
13:50All right, so we're good.
13:54What did you just have one thick and one?
13:56One thick and one thin.
13:57Thank God it was gold.
13:59I hate it.
14:00You know when you've got to go to the other one and then you've got to mess with the spacers.
14:03Right.
14:03Rotors and everything.
14:07Just bend that down to hit the frame and be done with it.
14:11Then it's going to be...
14:13It's going to sit just like this.
14:15Nothing will change.
14:16It's just you don't have a spacers.
14:17Give me one second.
14:19Give me one second.
14:20Neither.
14:23So it sits flat.
14:27Because...
14:28I mean, it's right on the frame, right?
14:31Yeah, then we'll have a little bit of a gap.
14:33I've been trying to do a better job of just listening to what he's got to say, you know,
14:38because he's got, you know, 30 plus years of experience and he's been in this industry a long time.
14:42So he's definitely been helping me out as well as Jim and stuff like that.
14:46Kind of show me the ropes and I'm getting better at building bikes in four days.
15:11Hey, what's going on?
15:12More than likely.
15:13Should be an easy fix though.
15:15Yeah.
15:17Hello.
15:18Hello.
15:19How are you?
15:20Good.
15:20How are you?
15:21I'm good.
15:22Casey serves us lunch pretty much every day.
15:24So that's how I got to know her.
15:26She does a lot of nice artwork and then, you know, we started talking a little bit about,
15:30you know, what I would think would be cool.
15:32I'd like to do the garage door.
15:34I love graffiti, you know.
15:36Okay.
15:36Or anything like it.
15:40So I'm open for suggestions.
15:43Okay.
15:44Spray paint's a little bit easier when you're working with like ridge surfaces and stuff.
15:48It's not as bad as I was expecting it to be.
15:50It's not too deep.
15:51I don't know.
15:52You keep saying that well.
15:54Well, I mean, I wouldn't mind getting my ugly mug out of there.
15:58Me either.
15:59Sick of looking at it, you know.
16:00I mean, I like it, but I think that would be a good spot.
16:04Yeah.
16:05And he was saying you kind of wanted to throw like the logo in it a little bit.
16:08And I feel like that would be a good space.
16:10Yeah.
16:11I'm good with it.
16:11All right.
16:13Sounds good.
16:13Thanks for coming over.
16:14Of course.
16:15Other than that tab, Paul wanted to drop it down because it was sticking up too much.
16:19So, uh, that took a lot longer to kind of, you know, surgically cut that thing out without messing up
16:24the tunnel.
16:25And, uh, but I was able to pull it off and, uh, I'll finish welding it tomorrow.
16:29We were lost last night when you left.
16:31Yeah.
16:31I'm sure you were.
16:32Huddled in the corner, huddled going, I hope he comes back.
16:35I hope he comes back.
16:39So hopefully today's the last day on the move over bike.
16:41Uh, we still got a lot to do, but we've got a lot done.
16:44It's just drew Paul and myself.
16:45So again, with three of us doing this from start to finish in, in, in, in, in, in, in,
16:48the short amount of time that we're doing it, it's tough.
16:51Uh, but I think we'll knock it out.
16:52That's getting there.
16:53I wanted it to look more drag.
16:55So, you know, I seen a pair of bars that drew had made on his Instagram.
17:00And I said, man, those bars are really good on that bike.
17:03So we built those bars.
17:06Right now I'm doing, uh, I'm measuring what they call the pullback angle of the, uh, handlebar.
17:13So I'm trying to match 10 inches of pullback from the welding table on both sides.
17:19Make sure that they're even because, uh, earlier it kind of just had this tack together.
17:23So one of the pipes was down.
17:25So I had to, you know, get them level it out and make sure that they were the same.
17:28So then I wanted to change since I changed the angle of where these were welded going out this way.
17:33I wanted to make sure that the pullback was the same since I changed that.
17:53So just put some gas in the bike.
17:54Uh, Leo is going to be coming over in a few minutes to pick it up,
17:56to bring it over to the roadhouse for an autism awareness vent they're doing there.
18:00Uh, so everybody can see it, check it out and hopefully learn some more and start conversations about autism
18:05and what they can do and more about it.
18:07Yeah, so Leo stopped by to pick up the autism bike.
18:10And, uh, what we're having over here today, we're having, uh, he's having an autism, uh, awareness going on today.
18:16There's a bunch of trucks.
18:16Actually, there's a lot of people here.
18:18Oh, it's early in the morning.
18:19So the tool's working.
18:21So we'll probably a little bit later this afternoon, uh, take a walk over there,
18:25support her a little bit and maybe have some fun.
18:30This kind of mouth then so we don't have to mess with that other thing.
18:33Well, we could.
18:54I'd say, yeah, we'll send it on the lift to it.
19:11All right.
19:13We're good.
19:14Just one seat, done.
19:15I was pretty f***ing cool with it.
19:17Oh, no.
19:18Oh, amazing.
19:19Amazing.
19:20Jim and I are going to head over there to the tent to see what's going on and, uh,
19:24we're going to leave Drew, uh, we're going to leave Drew here working by himself for a little while.
19:29We'll do a break next year.
19:36So good.
19:51So good.
19:58Out of the moment.
20:02So we've been working with Talon from CQ Powder Coating for a while now.
20:06He's amazing.
20:07He always pulls through and the move over bike was no exception.
20:10So he came over with some sample colors that we were looking for.
20:13Paul had an idea of what colors he wanted, kind of an off tan, a khaki color.
20:17Talon showed us some samples.
20:19They were perfect for what we were looking for.
20:21High gloss finish, so I mean it's going to look good.
20:24All right.
20:25Good seeing you.
20:25We'll be talking.
20:26See you, Paul.
20:27All right, man.
20:29Call me if you need something, okay?
20:30We'll do it.
20:40Does that allow you to move this?
20:42Yeah.
20:42It sure does.
20:43Okay.
20:44I think that's why I was buying that.
20:45So here's what we're going to do.
20:47All right?
20:48Here's what we're going to do.
20:49We're going to tack a piece up here for now.
20:52Right?
20:52Get the fender centered.
20:54Yeah.
20:55Okay?
20:55And then we're going to roll a couple struts.
20:58You could run off of here, right, with a bracket.
21:01You follow what I'm saying?
21:01Yeah.
21:02And then just come back like that.
21:03You just want a round rod?
21:05Yeah.
21:05We'll take a piece of round bar.
21:06Okay.
21:07And we'll roll it nice.
21:08You know what I'm saying?
21:09It'll almost follow that.
21:11This.
21:13Okay.
21:13Because you can do the struts.
21:16Try not to come off, right?
21:18All right.
21:18Again.
21:20All right.
21:21Second time's the charm, you know?
21:23That's what they say, right?
21:23It's the third.
21:24Oh, it is the third?
21:25We're not going that round.
21:26Nah, I was...
21:27I stopped at two.
21:29We're not going that round.
21:30All right.
21:31You want to know what's going on here?
21:32Uh, drama.
21:36Um, you know what?
21:37We're just moving around stuff too many times.
21:39And, um, I think not making excuses, but the hub threw us off.
21:45Center the tire, put the spaces in there and lock it up.
21:48And then we center the fender.
21:50But seeing that we really should have centered the fender no matter what
21:56and putting the spaces in there, we didn't do that.
21:58So the tire kept moving around.
22:00And we didn't get the right center on the fender.
22:05So I can't leave it like that.
22:07Um, if it's not done right, I'm not going to do it at all.
22:12Going to the Riding Academy was a lot of fun.
22:14It's good to freshen up sort of your skills.
22:16It's a nice refresher.
22:18Mikey.
22:18Yes.
22:19I don't think you can wear that on the course, man.
22:21No, I can't.
22:22No, I think you should come with me.
22:23Need to get official.
22:24Let's go.
22:25Let's go.
22:25Where are you going, Mike?
22:26We can't have him hurt himself out there.
22:29We're all experienced riders except for Jim.
22:34What do we got for sizes here?
22:362XLs, that what you need?
22:382XL.
22:38Or an XL.
22:392.
22:40I like the little room.
22:43Probably not, right?
22:44I can loosen it.
22:45How's it feel?
22:46Oh, yeah, loosen it.
22:46All right.
22:47I think we'll get away with it.
22:48No, Mike.
22:49It's a whole new look.
22:50Goes with the shorts.
22:51Cool now, man.
22:55Look at my Beetlejuice pants.
22:58My name's Mark Gunther.
23:00I'm a rider coach here at Bird's Barracuda Riding Academy and the dealership at Bird's Barracuda
23:04Harley-Davidson.
23:05We're going to do some class work inside and then we'll come out here and also do the
23:11riding portion of the course.
23:13What are you doing when you're riding through a curve and you're searching through?
23:16What are you looking for?
23:17The road.
23:20Set up.
23:21What do you think set up means?
23:22Slowing down a little bit.
23:24Slowing down is number one.
23:25That move over law is very, very important for not only your safety but also their safety.
23:30What we've got here is we have what we call fatal vision goggles.
23:34Okay?
23:34This simulates you being over the limit.
23:37This will kind of knock your socks off a little bit.
23:39Shut up, Michael.
23:43I can't, bro.
23:46All right.
23:46This is what you guys are riding on today.
23:49I like that bike, man.
23:51Yeah.
23:51Yeah.
23:52It's a great set.
23:53That's right.
23:54You're going to follow strict guidelines, rules, regulations, Pop.
23:57You're not special here.
23:58I know.
23:59I want to call us the .01 percenters.
24:05Right?
24:06We're like, we're the creme de la creme of scummy biker track.
24:10Okay.
24:11You guys go ahead and start your bikes up.
24:13Okay.
24:31What did you learn?
24:34For me, it was the support from my wife and Mikey that carried me through the course here.
24:40And Jim is, Jim, he's too sexy.
24:44You know what?
24:45I actually learned a lot today, to be honest.
24:48Like, you know, you think that you've been riding so long that, you know, I know how to ride.
24:51But it's interesting that you forget some of the basics.
24:54Seeing Mikey today in pants, Harley boots, long sleeve shirt was just worth doing the course, to be honest.
25:03Now that the move over bike is done from powder coating, it's going to kind of like be all hands
25:08on deck because a couple delays and stuff like that.
25:11But we're going to bring in Mikey and Al.
25:13We got Christian and we're going to get it done.
25:39I'll see you soon.
25:39If you could buy in second or not, worth it.
25:40Bye.
25:41Bye.
25:56So, first day I'm assembling the moveover bike, and you know what, things have been great.
26:03I mean, if you're an eighth of an inch, which we want a little more.
26:06Before you go back this way, now you're going to have to start running the problems here, too, though.
26:12You know, as always, when I say things are going pretty smooth, something seems to go wrong.
26:18And right now, we're having a big issue with the sprocket.
26:22Hey, Anthony.
26:23What's up, Paul?
26:24I've got a problem.
26:26What's up?
26:27So, the sprocket, transmission sprocket, is the transmission sprocket is lined up with the inside of the rear of the
26:41frame.
26:42The sprocket on the trans, right?
26:44Yeah.
26:45If you go to put a chain on it, right?
26:49Yeah.
26:49The sprocket's sticking out past the inside of the frame.
26:55So, in other words...
26:56What size sprocket do you got on there?
26:57The same one I had before.
26:59Just, you know...
27:01Well, it should be a little bit narrower because that frame is smaller than the other one.
27:04And the tire's a little bit smaller.
27:06Right, but it can't...
27:07It should not be...
27:09It can't be off that much, you know?
27:11All right.
27:11All right, I'll...
27:12It just kept coming.
27:13I'll send that over to you, Anthony, and I'll...
27:16I'll take a little bit more measurements here, you know?
27:22And then I'll call you back.
27:24So, really, all you need to do is clear the frame, right, Al?
27:27I mean, if you're an eighth of an inch, which we want a little more...
27:30Or you go back this way, now you're gonna have to start...
27:32You're gonna start running the problems here, too, though.
27:34You only have...
27:36Not even a quarter of an inch.
27:38Whatever you can get out of this with Anthony's mill machine or whatever,
27:43that's what I would say to Anthony.
27:45Whatever you feel is safe, you can get off and out without...
27:48And then we'll compensate on this side with the nut, whatever spacer we need.
27:52Yeah, I have spacers for that.
27:54That's what you got.
27:55That's the easiest way out.
27:56I'll cut it off...
27:57Whatever you want me to cut off the back.
27:59And then...
28:02I'll send them right over there, all right, Anthony?
28:05Thanks, Anthony.
28:06See you later.
28:07You know, I went over to Anthony's with the sprocket,
28:09and he had to machine down the back of it, I think,
28:13to make it a little less withy.
28:17And, you know, I just kind of assisted him for a little bit,
28:21breathing down his neck a little bit, you know,
28:23trying to keep the delegator going, the job, you know,
28:25the responsibilities.
28:28And I think it worked out okay.
28:30What bike was that?
28:31You doing 90 miles an hour on a wheelie?
28:33ZX9.
28:34Nice.
28:35Alan Bates.
28:35I work...
28:36I'm a Sandhog, local 147, New York City.
28:39We make...
28:40dig all the tunnels for...
28:41for anything in Manhattan.
28:43Tell them that story.
28:44Pipe and Jed, doing the wheelie.
28:4790 miles an hour, I set it down,
28:49my buddy come across, clipped my front wheel.
28:52I went gone.
28:54Hit a street sign, crossed my back, and snapped the sign.
28:59The doctor said, he goes, you're lucky you're going that quick,
29:01because it would have broke my back.
29:03Sign had no chance.
29:05I was...
29:05I was up for a couple months.
29:08Only a couple months?
29:09Yeah.
29:10You break some bones?
29:11How old were you?
29:11No, I didn't break a thing.
29:12I got up and rode the bike away.
29:14That was last year.
29:16Last week.
29:17Actually, no.
29:20And the caliber looks pretty.
29:22Yeah, you did.
29:23You're not about there.
29:26Yeah, yeah.
29:33Clipping the top of motor, the front of motor, this.
29:36Because this normally goes into an oil cooler.
29:39Okay.
29:40We're bypassing that, and it goes directly back in there.
29:42And that mirror.
29:43We're coming along a little better now.
29:45Hopefully, we'll get to the point where we can just get past these issues and just move forward.
30:00Spacer on it.
30:02Transition in there.
30:04Is it going through?
30:06Part numbers.
30:06Correct.
30:07To keep it separate for that.
30:08You know what I mean?
30:08Right.
30:13Is that what this wire here is for?
30:15For the mag probably?
30:16Mag kill.
30:17Yeah, okay.
30:17So we're good.
30:18The second time, we're running the M8 motor.
30:21The first one was, you know, there's a few trials and tribulations, of course.
30:25A couple of learning curves.
30:30So we came up with this.
30:32This is a 3D printed plastic one.
30:34Took several revisions to get to even, to get to this.
30:36And so this, this will allow you to bolt right in, right in place of the stock adapter or the
30:43stock intake.
30:44And it gives you a carb support up here.
30:47So it supports the intake back here.
30:49So you don't have to worry about one up here, but just bolts right on.
30:53Uses the stock, the stock gaskets and stock hardware and flanges and everything.
30:58And this one, this one is 3D printed also, but this one is 3D printed out of aluminum, which comes
31:04out kind of like a cast finish.
31:05And then we, we polish it in house.
31:08So, and then clean it all up.
31:10And that's what, that's what it ends up looking like.
31:13But that way you can, you can, you know, basically run the whole motor off of just these two wires,
31:18utilizing the carb.
31:19You know, it just really simplifies the wiring and everything on the whole bike.
31:23With the fender, Jen.
31:25Oh, right.
31:30We love Ken, you know what I mean?
31:31He just, he's a great guy.
31:33But when I seen the tanks, you know, we don't, we didn't do any black bikes yet, you know?
31:37So, I really wasn't sure, but the colors were phenomenal.
31:40Uh, I mean, they couldn't be better.
31:43That's cool too, huh?
31:45Awesome.
31:50Oh, that's nice.
31:53Wow, that was good.
31:54See that, this really looks good with the top, the way it is.
31:57It does, I mean.
31:58The whole thing looks amazing.
32:02I think I did a good job, no?
32:04I did.
32:28No, the problem was that those holes should have been bigger.
32:31We had issues with the, with the chain clearances.
32:35We had issues with the, the sprocket, the spacing on the sprocket.
32:40Clearance with the tire and the fender.
32:42Things that generally don't happen.
32:44But it's just like I said, you know, we'll get by it.
32:46Um, the end result will be, um, what I want it to be.
32:50And, um, hopefully what the customer wants it to be.
32:53Hi!
32:54I kind of ran with the Temptations idea.
32:57I liked, so I found a good album cover.
33:00It was from the Temptations live show.
33:01I was just wondering what you think about it.
33:04I like the colors.
33:05What are you thinking?
33:06Yeah, I like the whole thing.
33:06You know, I'm a hippie.
33:07I know.
33:08Well, that's why I was, I was inspired by it.
33:10I was a hippie by the day and a drunk by the day.
33:12I was thinking, like, kind of that point probably come out to this.
33:16Are we gonna leave my picture of me?
33:18You sit.
33:19You've been wanting to take that down since we put it up.
33:22But, alright, if you're happy with it, then I'm happy with it.
33:26Yeah, I'll see you for lunch tomorrow.
33:28See you for lunch tomorrow.
33:29Hopefully that'll your food up tomorrow.
33:40Try to put it where you want it.
33:47More.
33:49Push this a little bit.
33:51There you go.
33:52That looks good to me, yeah.
33:56I appreciate you coming over.
33:57No problem.
33:58So you said there was something different about these LEDs?
34:00Yeah, this is from the company's cereal, man.
34:03Nice.
34:03They sent a new package.
34:05New lights.
34:05Not even in the market yet.
34:06No?
34:07They're still a prototype?
34:08Yes, sir.
34:08It's a prototype.
34:09So you guys will be the first one.
34:11This will be the first bite with it.
34:13Yeah.
34:17Three balls.
34:20There's balls in here in the summer.
34:22Be on the show.
34:23Next bike we built, we're going to get a little bit more organized.
34:26Yeah, right.
34:28It's a whole different.
34:29It's a whole different because we're doing the back end.
34:32We put lights in the front fender.
34:34We did the whole engine and under the frame.
34:36So it's going to be way more lights on this one than the other bike.
34:40Red, white, and blue.
34:48All right, Jim.
34:49Let's get something done today, all right?
34:50All right.
34:51We're starting.
34:57So do you have Sean come in Sunday to Thursday?
35:03No.
35:03You might as well take that over to the table.
35:06Is there any more clutch cables in here?
35:08I think it's just one.
35:18Yeah, this actually, normally Paul uses the open primaries.
35:24Being that this is the Harley Davidson M8 motor, we're doing a closed primary.
35:30So it is chain drive.
35:31He usually uses a belt drive primary.
35:32It's a little different stuff than what Paul normally does, but being that this is the
35:35Harley motor, he wanted to go with the Harley primary as well.
35:38So it's enclosed, a little quieter than the open belts.
35:43So this morning, Mike and I saw Big Bill hanging out over by the dumpster and he gave us
35:47an idea, you know, a franchise idea.
35:50For the low price of $500,000, you can own Big Bill's Pinellas dumpster chicken.
35:57I bet Bill would be a good chicken cooker, you know what I mean?
36:02Like he could have Bill's fried chicken and then that expanded to, they're all break clean,
36:07soaked, ocean dredged, and sit in the sun for six to seven days and you cook them in
36:14a dumpster.
36:14I'll buy one.
36:17I'd buy that for a dollar.
36:20Yeah, we're going to be billionaires.
36:22Yeah.
36:23I'm sick of not being a billionaire.
36:37So I would like to thank all our law enforcement for being here.
36:40You guys are amazing.
36:48So we're definitely getting closer, putting the gas tank on now, and hopefully it starts
36:56right up.
36:57But I do enjoy it.
37:02A little crooked.
37:03There you go.
37:08Go ahead.
37:10You're doing good.
37:11You're doing okay.
37:11Yeah, you're doing really good.
37:13You got it perfectly, buddy.
37:15Stay right where you are.
37:34I started to bike up with that M8 motor and the exhaust that Drew built.
37:39I mean, the thing just had a, it had a great sound to it.
37:43Yeah.
37:45We got it started.
37:48Sounds good.
37:49We got a few, we got a few miscellaneous things that we got to do to get it completely finished.
37:55But yeah, we're at the point where we can get it off the lift and start the next project.
38:04The exhaust, we just sent it back to our powder coater who gets things done like that.
38:09Thank God for the powder coater.
38:11But, and we did it black and black look 100% better.
38:24The bike actually started right up.
38:26I'm going to go on it, take a ride in a nice cold weather and then we'll bring it over
38:31to the unveil.
38:37The unveil just happened to be on a day which was 42 degrees.
38:42But listen, we, you know, the day is the day, you know what I mean?
38:45It was everybody made plans and there was no, there was no option.
39:04So let's give these guys a big round of applause before we start.
39:10And also I would like to thank all our law enforcement for being here.
39:14You guys are amazing.
39:14We appreciate you.
39:17Oh, come on.
39:18We can do better than that.
39:19Come on.
39:20Come on.
39:20Come on.
39:24Come on.
39:29Yeah, it came out real nice.
39:36Yeah.
39:46In honor of all of our law enforcement officers that are out there doing traffic stops all
39:52the time, this bike is for you.
39:54We brought the idea to Paul and Paul absolutely loved it and his beautiful wife Joan and Jim
40:01worked on this and we could not be more proud.
40:03Thank you for what you do, thank you for serving and protecting and giving back to our community.
40:12The casualties keep going up and we built this bike for awareness so that we would save more
40:23lives.
40:48So Bison Wealth is also involved in the spill to serve and protect bike and the move over
40:52bike and we hope they like it as much as we do.
40:55Perfect merger of the two sort of ideas together and so what a perfect initiative to get behind
41:00and so it's just been a ton of fun to work with you guys and to be able to find
41:04something
41:05that we can actually do some really good with, it is just such a great feeling.
41:10So I think this is going to bring a lot of awareness so we are so grateful for this project
41:15to be
41:15able to do this with you guys.
41:17It's just, it's a game changer and I believe it's going to save lives, I really do.
41:22Creativity, the enthusiasm, the excitement that went into this bike that is shown here today,
41:27it's absolutely incredible.
41:29not yet, but.
41:30Beautiful.
41:39Perfect.
41:40Beautiful.
41:41Beautiful.
41:43People Gray are people.
