00:00And we begin this bulletin with breaking news coming in from the war zone.
00:05Now, Iran has confirmed that one of their top leaders is dead.
00:09Now, once again, another decapitation attempt by U.S., which has been successful.
00:16And that is Iran's IRGC has now confirmed the death of intelligence organization head Majid Qademi.
00:23Now, IRGC is saying that he has been killed and they have praised Qademi's decades of service to Iran's security
00:33and to the revolution as well.
00:36Well, Majid Qademi was the head of the intelligence service force almost about a year now.
00:42And he had come over there after the previous head was also killed in an Israeli strike.
00:48Now, the statement from the IRGC is saying that Qademi played key role in intelligence and security operations.
00:56They also said that General Qademi served nearly half a century defending the Islamic Republic in different positions all through
01:05his career.
01:06Now, General Qademi is being hailed for his contributions against what Iran says foreign enemies and infiltration plots.
01:15Now, IRGC has called his record lasting and instructive for future intelligence generation.
01:23So, Tehran has confirmed the death, but it has also vowed continued vigilance against attempts to destabilize Iran's security, according
01:32to them.
01:41In the midst of all this, Israel continues to pound Iran and news is coming in of Israel hitting the
01:49Mehrabad airport in Tehran.
01:52And the visuals that you see on your screens are coming in now as a huge fire has been caught
01:58on camera in Tehran airport area.
02:01That big explosion, a fire and then black smoke blowing above the Tehran airport area.
02:09Intense strikes overnight in the Mehrabad airport area have been reported in Tehran since morning.
02:16In fact, even in the dawn, it was reported that many areas of Tehran were targeted with airstrikes.
02:24And that had led to the death of one of the generals over there, as we reported earlier.
02:29And now, visuals coming in of the airport in Tehran also getting targeted overnight.
02:36The visuals that you see on your screen right now are from that very area when the strike took place,
02:42that big explosion, that fireball and then subsequent smoke.
02:47So, clearly, the infrastructure of Iran is being targeted, as the airport gets targeted,
02:55and Donald Trump's deadline also draws closer.
03:17U.S. media is reporting a last-ditch push by Washington, Tehran and regional mediators for a 45-day ceasefire,
03:25though chances of a breakthrough in the coming hours remain slim.
03:29According to sources familiar with the proposal, both Iran and the U.S. have received a two-tier plan,
03:36an immediate ceasefire followed by a final agreement within 15-20 days.
03:41If implemented, the plan would include reopening of the Strait of Hormuz and a roadmap towards a permanent settlement of
03:50the dispute.
03:50Now, the proposal reportedly involves Iran foregoing nuclear weapons,
03:55receiving relief from sanctions that are imposed on it, and the release of frozen assets as well.
04:02Now, Pakistan's army chief has held separate calls with the U.S. Vice President, Vance Envoy Steve Witkoff,
04:09and Iran's Abbas Arakchi to coordinate this entire plan.
04:14Now, Tehran is reviewing this proposal that it has received via Pakistan,
04:18but has rejected deadlines and external pressure, refusing to reopen the Strait of Hormuz for a temporary truce,
04:26while expressing doubts about U.S. and their commitment to a permanent ceasefire.
04:31Now, Iran says it is open to talk, but only on its own terms,
04:36and only if there are ironclad security guarantees.
04:40Mediators warn that failure could trigger destructive retaliation across Gulf infrastructure,
04:46even as Saudi Arabia and the UAE had pushed for stronger military action against Iran.
04:56So, let's try and understand how Iran is holding firm as far as its stance is concerned.
05:03It has said that they are reviewing the proposal that has been forwarded to them by Pakistan,
05:08and this is a ceasefire proposal, although temporarily.
05:12They are saying they will not be deciding anything under deadlines or any kind of external pressure that has been
05:19exerted on them.
05:20Remember, there is a deadline that is approaching, and that has been given by Donald Trump.
05:25They are also saying that they will not open, or rather reopen, Strait of Hormuz for any kind of temporary
05:32truce,
05:33and it will only be for some sort of a permanent solution.
05:36And they are also doubting U.S. and its commitment to any kind of permanent ceasefire.
05:42This is what Iran is saying right now.
05:45But, is this last chance for diplomacy?
05:49This is what everyone is asking.
05:51So, U.S., Iran, and the regional mediators,
05:54who are involved in trying to push both the countries, and Israel as well,
05:59towards a ceasefire, are right now asking for this 45-day truce.
06:04This is what the proposal is.
06:05It is basically a two-tier plan.
06:07One, it says that it will impose immediate ceasefire,
06:12so the hostilities cease, and there is relief for everyone, although temporary.
06:17Then, discussions can continue, and a final agreement will come through in about 15-20 days,
06:23when the two can negotiate.
06:24Now, how is this happening?
06:26This is all happening via conduit, and that is the Pakistani army chief,
06:30who has been calling up both the U.S. and the Iranian foreign minister as well,
06:35and trying to build a bridge of communication between them.
06:38The final proposal, it is believed, it states, the final settlement states,
06:44that Iran will have to completely forego its nuclear program,
06:48but in lieu of that, it will get relief from the sanctions that are imposed on it currently,
06:54and also all the assets that it holds overseas that have been frozen,
07:00they will be released.
07:01So, that will give Iran access to financial assistance, its own money that it holds overseas.
07:09Now, the U.S. rescue of an airman in Iran is sparking a major controversy
07:15after Donald Trump called it an Easter miracle,
07:18and mixed religious messaging with military threats.
07:21Now, a daring U.S. rescue deep inside Iran is now overshadowed by a political storm.
07:27Trump called the mission an Easter miracle,
07:29with top officials echoing religious symbolism to celebrate the success.
07:34Controversy erupted after Donald Trump paired faith with force,
07:38warning Iran of strikes on power plants and bridges,
07:42and signing off with praise be to Allah.
07:45But his blending of religious references with threats of military action drew criticism.
07:51Council of American Islamic Relations condemned Trump's language,
07:55saying that his mocking of Islam and his threats to attack civilian infrastructure in Iran
08:00were reckless and dangerous.
08:02It also said the casual use of praise be to Allah in the context of violent threats
08:08reflected a willingness to weaponize religious language
08:11while showing contempt for Muslims and their beliefs.
08:18Most Americans oppose the war in Iran, and yet our political leaders do not.
08:23Our political leaders have not stopped this war,
08:26and some of them are talking about funding this war.
08:27And so what that says to, I think, all Americans, including American Muslims,
08:31is that we have more work to do to make sure that our political leaders reflect the will of the
08:36American people,
08:38not AIPAC or other pro-war lobby groups.
08:41So I think this war will inspire even more Americans, including American Muslims,
08:45to get politically engaged and demand that our leaders put America first.
08:49We are kind of saddened, saddened by the news,
08:53especially during this time, during Ramadan is happening.
08:58Everyone, we're worried.
08:59It might escalate to something bigger.
09:01We feel like that no matter where you're from, we all are same.
09:05We are, here at the end of the day, we all are human beings.
09:08So in the name of religion and everything, when the people are killing each other,
09:12this is not good things to do.
09:14And now let's get you what exactly on Truth Social Donald Trump had said,
09:20and he's been criticized.
09:21And it is referenced, again and again being referenced,
09:24because he made a reference to Allah.
09:27And what exactly was this?
09:29We're going to, we talked to our reporter, Pranay Upadhyay,
09:33who is currently in Israel.
09:36And he's going to tell us, what exactly does he gather more from this?
09:41I think he was expressing his frustration.
09:44And in fact, you know, he was making a sarcastic comment to the Islamic government of Iran.
09:50But certainly, you know, the way President Donald Trump in his second tenure has used
09:55the religious symbolism, be it his attendance to religious events,
10:00his references to the religious scriptures and other things.
10:04This clearly shows that, you know, there is, you know, in his constituency,
10:09especially the MAGA lot, there is a support for the religious connotations as well.
10:14But we have to see that what will be the fallout,
10:16because most of his allies in the GCC countries are followers of the Muslim faith
10:21and how countries like Saudi Arabia or Kuwait or Iraq or United Arab Emirates or Bahrain
10:27would take, you know, this connotation.
10:32Okay, now let's talk about Kriya Chmona,
10:35a tri-junction near Israel, Lebanon and Syria border,
10:39which is the spot that Iran has bombed the most.
10:42This has now turned into a ghost town after attacks.
10:44India Today's Pranav Wadia sends us this report from Ground Zero.
10:51I am currently in Kriya Chmona,
10:54one of the border cities, border towns of northern Israel.
10:58And in fact, this place is around the tri-junction of Israel,
11:02Lebanon and Syria border.
11:03Golan Heights and the Lebanese border are not far from this place.
11:07But behind me, you can see the shutdown shops,
11:11closed shops and in fact, this has turned into a ghost town because many people have left this place
11:18because of the ongoing conflict,
11:20because of the incoming rockets, incoming fires
11:23and in fact, because of the ongoing Israeli operation against the Lebanese Hezbollahs.
11:29In fact, the fight is not very far from this place.
11:32You can actually hear the artillery sound.
11:35You can see helicopters going around here and there
11:38and you can see them flying in this region.
11:41And in fact, recently, there was a rocket attack in the city of Kriya Chmona
11:46where a 50-year-old man died.
11:48And in fact, sirens did not alert people.
11:52In fact, people did not get time to get alerted.
11:56And in fact, this remains the reality of the northern part of Israel.
12:01And in fact, many people are complaining.
12:03They are saying that we should go out from this place.
12:07Government should take us to the safer places.
12:09And in fact, this is a city, this is a town of only few thousand people.
12:16But many of them have left this place.
12:19And this looks like a ghost town right now.
12:22And this remains a reality of this conflict zone.
12:27Pranayapadhyay reporting from Kriya Chmona, Israel, for India Today.
12:32Two people have been killed following Iran's cluster bomb ballistic missile attack
12:37on the Haifa area in Israel.
12:39Now, the bodies of two people were recovered from under the rubble
12:42at the site of an Iranian ballistic missile impact in Haifa city.
12:46Four people were reported missing after the strike.
12:49First responders had said last Sunday,
12:52adding that the building under which they were believed to be trapped
12:56was at serious risk of collapse.
12:58Here's a report from Israel's chief of staff
13:00of the home front command at the impact site
13:03of an Iranian ballistic missile launched
13:06at a civilian community in Haifa, in northern Israel.
13:12I'm standing here in Haifa.
13:16Behind me, you can see the destruction site.
13:19Earlier this evening, a missile that was launched from Iran
13:23hit this site, a building in the middle of the city of Haifa.
13:28In this building, right at this moment, there are four people captured, missing.
13:37Other than these people, many others injured,
13:41and we needed to evacuate them to hospitals.
13:44Once again, the Iranian regime aims its missiles to civilian target,
13:50to the civilian population of the state of Israel.
13:52And here, again, we have a major destruction site.
13:56And you can see serious damage here behind me.
14:01The Israeli public is resilient.
14:04The IDF keeps on fighting and defending the state of Israel.
14:10As the West Asia war continues to intensify,
14:13U.S. President Donald Trump has issued fresh warnings to Iran,
14:17threatening further escalation if tensions do not ease.
14:20Amid this, Israel's city of Tel Aviv and Haifa have come under repeated attacks
14:25from Hezbollah and Iranian strikes,
14:28highlighting the widening conflict across the region.
14:31India Today's Pranay Upadhyay senses this ground report from the war zone.
14:36Take a look at this ground report.
14:37And it is Inside Israel.
14:42America's Pranay Upadhyay
15:09and this is a part of the war zone.
15:22We have some reports that there are other reports that have been reported that the missile alerts
15:27have been given by people who have been shot.
15:32This is the study that the study has been given that this study has been given as a result.
15:47This study tells us that the missile intercepts are given.
15:52Baina
15:54hao
16:20yeah
16:44The emergency response system of Haifa city is being run from this very place and this
16:50is the command and control structure, command and control center of Haifa city and there
16:54you can see the map of Haifa, a detailed map of Haifa where anything which is there on
17:00the ground can be seen in this map and this will help, this map helps people, those who
17:06are planning here for coordinating emergency response to plan how they need to formulate
17:12their response and behind me you can also see these multi-camera output.
17:17This is the output from every nook and corner, every part of Haifa city and everything is
17:22being monitored through these hundreds of CCTV cameras on this big wall and they can take,
17:28they can capture, they can locate any part of the city and there you can see the most important
17:33strategic part of Haifa city, the Haifa port, Haifa oil refinery, in fact the stadiums, hospitals,
17:40major infrastructure, the bigger view, even the Mediterranean coastline is quite visible
17:47here, in fact every angle of the city's view is being monitored and in fact the larger picture
17:53of the city is also being monitored on the map and they have these detailed view, in fact
17:58in this very office which is being mended by people from home front command, from the IDF,
18:03from the city emergency services, from mediation teams as well and you can see the different
18:08departments, their reporting time, how do they manage this schedule and in fact the news outlets
18:15are also being monitored for any breaking news or any report and in fact this is a unique
18:22system which monitors every call.
18:25In last 12 hours the Haifa city has received almost four missile alerts and after that they
18:32have received around 163 calls from different residents, different people from Haifa city
18:39and in fact they have already responded to 160 calls they have attended and three calls they
18:43are already working on and in fact there is zero mark in green, this clearly shows that there
18:50is no severity, there is no emergency and in fact they are managing this city from
18:55this very room, this coordination centre tells us that how they are managing, thwarting
19:01all those incoming projectiles and missiles and also formulating their emergency response.
19:06Pranayupadhyay reporting from Haifa for India Today.
19:16We are breaking news coming in right now, Israeli forces are claiming that they have avenged as
19:22they say the killing of four of their soldiers, the Nahal reconnaissance unit fighters, they say
19:28have eliminated who they call terrorists, that is their reference to the Iranians, responsible
19:34for the deaths of their four soldiers including a captain, a first sergeant, two first sergeants in fact
19:42and they are saying that they have avenged the killing of their people.
19:46Now this is all in the southern Lebanon sector where a simultaneous operation is currently happening,
19:53where the Israeli forces, the IDF have continuously been bombarding and also there are boots on the ground.
20:00So as part of their activities, the brigade's forces eliminated these Iranian soldiers and forces and located and destroyed weapons
20:09and their infrastructure.
20:11Now during their operations, according to the IDF, the brigade eliminated three, what they say is terrorists,
20:18who killed the four Nahal reconnaissance unit fighters as we mentioned before.
20:24So clearly as we hear from the Israeli forces, the IDF, they are claiming that they have avenged the death
20:31of their four soldiers,
20:34who were killed in southern Lebanon.
20:36Remember, IDF and Israeli forces are trying to create a buffer zone between the areas where Hezbollah is active
20:44and the northern part of Israel which is completely targeted again and again by Hezbollah fighters.
20:51That is why they have been targeting south of Lebanon and they are trying to create a bigger buffer zone
20:57so that their settlements in the north are safer,
21:00the people living there are safer.
21:02So currently what we know is that Israeli forces are claiming that there were four soldiers who were involved in
21:11some campaigns
21:12and they were inside southern Lebanon and they were killed but now IDF claims that they have taken their revenge.
21:32And what is the most important thing in this war for countries like India, China, Russia?
21:37It is the oil, the crude oil and the gas.
21:40And now Iran is assuring safe passage for India through the Strait of Hormuz.
21:48Remember, that Strait of Hormuz has right now only seen passing of ships that follow certain conditions that have been
21:57imposed by Iran.
21:58But Iran now says that they are giving safe passage to India and for other friendly nations like India.
22:06And in their list of friendly nations, we of course know there is Russia, there is China, there are many
22:11countries that they believe are friendly.
22:13Now, Iran is saying that India is also a friendly nation and they will get a safe passage.
22:19This is extremely important. This has come across in the Iranian ambassador's interview with the news agency ANI.
22:27And he has said that Iran has adopted special measures to ensure the safe passage off the ships from friendly
22:33countries, including India.
22:36Joining us right now is India Today Global's Pranay Upadhyay, who is in Israel and has been travelling the length
22:42and breadth of it reporting from their Pranay.
22:44Again, we have a big assurance coming in right now. The ambassador of Iran says that friendly nations and Iran,
22:53I beg your pardon, India gets a safe passage through Hormuz.
23:01Anjali, Mohammed Fatali, Ambassador of Iran to India has only reiterated what Iranian Foreign Minister Sayyad Abbas Arachi and other
23:08senior officials from Iran have already said this thing that what Iran is doing it, Iran is not going for
23:14complete closure of state of Hormuz.
23:15So, rather, they have made it selectively permeable, where only friendly countries are being allowed, including India, including China, including
23:24other countries, ships are being allowed.
23:26And how are they ensuring the safe passage of these ships?
23:29That these ships, the cargo ships, you know, which are being allowed by the Iranian authorities are passing through the
23:36territorial waters of Iran.
23:37So, from the coastline of Iran, around 20 nautical miles is their territorial waters and they are allowing these ships
23:44to sail through closer to the coastline of Iran and to the coastline of the territorial waters of Iran and
23:50ensuring their safe passage.
23:51On the other side, they have already threatened it, they have already said that, you know, for other countries, and
23:57especially for the countries, those who are acting as aggressors against Iran and also helping Iran, you know, aggressors of
24:06Iran, their ships cannot pass through the state of Hormuz.
24:11And, in fact, you know, Iran is also, through the closure of the state of Hormuz, Iran is trying to
24:16build a larger perception that it is only being rational, you know, in closing the state of Hormuz for countries,
24:23those who have launched this military strike against Iran.
24:29Right. Right. Right, Pranay. Thank you very much for all those details.
24:34So, once again, Iran is reiterating its position that the Strait of Hormuz is open, but only for friendly nations.
24:42Thank you very much.
