The Road Transport Department (JPJ) will seize and confiscate motorcycles belonging to individuals caught street racing at the departure area of the new terminal at Sultan Ismail Petra Airport (LTSIP) in Pengkalan Chepa.

Transport Minister Anthony Loke said he has instructed JPJ to carry out large-scale enforcement operations in the area following reports of illegal racing activities.

00:33enforcement operations in the area. He warned that anyone caught racing in front of the airport
00:39will have their motorcycles seized immediately. Look added that the federal government has spent
00:45nearly 450 million ringgit upgrading the airport to improve connectivity and boost tourism in
00:52Kalantan. However, the illegal racing activities, which began during Ramadan and escalated on
00:59Friday, recently went viral on social media.
