00:00Greatest reveal ever.
00:05Welcome to Ms. Mojo.
00:07And today we're counting down our picks for the reveals from the US version of The Masked Singer
00:11that we still can't quite believe actually happened.
00:13Who is it?
00:14What's going on?
00:15Who is it?
00:16I'm really confused.
00:17Is there a body?
00:18Number 50.
00:19Taika Waititi as Lucky Duck.
00:21A new character waddled onto the stage in season 13.
00:24The quirky detective Lucky Duck.
00:26Tasked not with singing, but with delivering cryptic clues in a comical manner.
00:30Locked since the beginning.
00:32And during my time here, I've left no stone unturned.
00:36But one mystery still remains.
00:39Who am I?
00:41This feathered sleuth entertained with a brief amusing dance
00:45instead of giving himself away with his vocal chops.
00:47The panel was intrigued by the energy, but utterly unprepared for what came next.
00:52Oh, how I want to be free.
00:55Yeah!
00:56Oh, how I want to be free.
01:00Director, actor, and all-around creative force Taika Waititi
01:04delivered one of the most delightfully meta twists in the show's history
01:07before ultimately pulling off his mask.
01:09The sheer surprise of seeing an Oscar-winning filmmaker,
01:12whose wife Rita Ora was on the panel,
01:15added a hilarious personal layer to this unprecedented reveal.
01:18Well, the main reason I wanted to do this is because
01:20it's the only way I was going to get to see my wife.
01:23You guys got her working so hard, I never see her.
01:26And how I kept it a secret?
01:27She's always here.
01:28That's true.
01:29That's actually true.
01:30It was easy.
01:31Number 49.
01:32Mike Luckinland, Barry Williams, and Christopher Knight as The Mummies.
01:35The Mummies wrapped up the competition in Season 8
01:38with a playful, synchronized energy and voices
01:40that, while not always pitch-perfect, exuded pure joy.
01:44Here we come, walkin' down the street.
01:48We get the funniest looks from the one we meet.
01:54Their clue packages consistently hinted at a storied past
01:57and a close-knit bond,
01:59making panelists guess legendary siblings or iconic trios.
02:03But the true reveal was something else.
02:05Here's the story of three brothers.
02:07Hey!
02:08Come watch us sing and play!
02:11We're the young generation!
02:14We've got something to say!
02:17While two of the panelists ventured the Brady boys as a guess,
02:21we almost didn't believe it until we saw it with our own eyes.
02:24Yet the unmasking delivered an epic dose of nostalgia and shock.
02:28Seeing three stars from such an iconic American sitcom
02:31reuniting on stage like this
02:33was a truly heartwarming and unexpected surprise.
02:36We haven't performed together like this for,
02:39well, since the Brady days, originally.
02:41Yeah!
02:41A few years ago!
02:42Yeah, so being here was such fun.
02:44We could dance with such abandon.
02:47And this audience has been just terrific.
02:49And the judges, you're very sharp.
02:52Number 48.
02:53William Shatner as Knight.
02:55The regal knight rode into battle in season 8,
02:57delivering a spirited performance.
02:59If you're plinkin', you don't know where to go to.
03:03Why don't you go where passion sits?
03:06Puttin' on the ritz.
03:08His distinctive vocal cadence and theatrical flair
03:10hinted at a seasoned entertainer.
03:12But the grand, somewhat restrictive costume
03:15made it hard for panelists to pin down the precise legend.
03:17Over the years, this mystery star has truly done it all,
03:21including releasing albums.
03:22But his reveal was still not one any of us were expecting.
03:26Well, maybe except Jenny.
03:27To me, those clues were kind of leading towards,
03:30you know, the solar system,
03:32Star Trek,
03:33William Shakespeare,
03:35William Shatner.
03:36At 91 years old,
03:38William Shatner became the oldest contestant
03:40going boldly where no nonagenarian had gone before.
03:43Shatner called the show, quote,
03:45the most extraordinary experience he'd ever had.
03:47Big words for someone who's literally been to outer space.
03:50I can't walk.
03:52The noise was deafening.
03:54The mask was obliterating.
03:57Oh, was that fun.
04:00Number 47.
04:01Bobby Burke as Caterpillar.
04:03The whimsical Caterpillar charmed audiences in season 6
04:06with its endearing stage presence
04:07and surprisingly capable vocals.
04:09Baby, will you finally
04:12get to love somebody?
04:15Guess what?
04:17It's gonna be me.
04:19The intricate costume moved with a grace
04:21that hinted at a performer
04:22who wasn't afraid to embrace the theatrical.
04:25When the charismatic Caterpillar was finally unmasked,
04:27it was none other than Queer Eye's interior design expert,
04:30Bobby Burke.
04:31Bobby Burke!
04:33Baby nominated host of Queer Eye!
04:36Bobby Burke is renowned for his impeccable taste
04:39and transformation abilities,
04:40which make him the perfect Caterpillar, sure.
04:42But who knew he could sing, too?
04:44He completely renovated our assumptions,
04:46leaving the panel without an eye or an ear
04:49on who he really was.
04:50Until this moment,
04:51his true identity remained tucked safely away in a cocoon.
04:55I thought you killed that vocal.
04:57I mean, you nailed that.
04:59You nailed that vocal.
05:00Thank you, guys.
05:00That was a great performance.
05:02Number 46.
05:04Donny Osmond as Peacock.
05:05The Peacock was one of the biggest standouts
05:07in the very first season of The Masked Singer.
05:19Every week, he came out confident, flashy,
05:22and sounding way more polished than anyone expected,
05:24which made him an instant frontrunner.
05:26Still, no one could quite pin down who he was,
05:29although his name was occasionally thrown out
05:31among the likes of Neil Patrick Harris
05:33and Weird Al Yankovic.
05:36I mean, there's gotta be Neil Patrick Harris.
05:42So, when he was finally revealed as Donny Osmond,
05:45becoming the first-ever runner-up,
05:47we were left stunned that someone
05:48with such a famous, recognizable voice
05:50managed to fly under the radar for so long.
05:52It was a fun reminder of just how talented he really is.
05:55The world would make you do a crazy show like this.
05:58Because it's fun!
06:00Yes!
06:01Exactly!
06:02I had the time of my life here, man.
06:04It's the best thing in my life.
06:06It's better than being Donny Osmond.
06:08Number 45.
06:09Tom Sandoval as Diver.
06:11The mysterious Diver plunged into season 10,
06:14delivering rock-infused performances
06:15with a distinct, sometimes-strained vocal quality.
06:19She said,
06:19Any way you want it,
06:21That's the way you need it.
06:23Any way you want it.
06:25She said,
06:26Any way you want it,
06:28That's the way you need it.
06:30Any way you want it.
06:31Clues often hinted at past struggles,
06:34public scrutiny,
06:35and relationship drama,
06:36sparking fervent speculation.
06:38Few could have predicted the sheer magnitude
06:40of the real-life controversy simmering beneath the mask.
06:43In what proved to be an incredibly timely
06:45and scandalous reveal,
06:47Vanderpump Rules star Tom Sandoval was unmasked.
06:49Ken was right.
06:51He's in the building.
06:52Oh my God.
06:53You made me so proud.
06:54You made me so proud.
06:55Congratulations, Ken.
06:57Good.
06:57Wow.
06:59All right, I wouldn't have guessed that one.
07:01Jenny and Ken mentioned his name in their final guesses,
07:04while Robin and Nicole thought this could be Pauly D.
07:07His appearance on the show followed the highly publicized Scandaval,
07:11making his reveal particularly shocking and buzzy.
07:13Talk about riding the wave.
07:15Being able to come out here, perform, you know, behind a mask,
07:20not being judged, just being judged on my performance.
07:23It was really nice.
07:24Number 44, Tony Braxton as Pufferfish.
07:27Sometimes a vocalist is so iconic that we convince ourselves
07:31their recognizable voice must be a red herring.
07:34I didn't even notice, no punches left to roll.
07:37I'd like to keep you focused, you want to say so.
07:41Let me the elegant Pufferfish grace the stage in season six
07:44with delicate yet powerful vocal performances,
07:47her voice flowing smoothly through various genres.
07:50The panel often guessed accomplished singers
07:52or even some actors like Nelly Furtado,
07:54Jessica Alba, or even Jennifer Lopez.
07:56Are you sticking with it?
07:57That would be a huge upset though, right?
07:59I know, audience, I know.
08:00That would be a huge upset.
08:01That would be a great upset,
08:02but I think I'm going to be totally shocked
08:05when her mask comes off,
08:06but I'm going to go with Nelly Furtado right now.
08:08However, the nuances of her delivery skillfully
08:11masked her true identity,
08:12leaving the panel all out of Puff.
08:14For an artist of her caliber
08:16to mask her globally famous voice so well
08:18was a testament to her skill.
08:20We still can't believe we failed to reel in the right guess.
08:23Oh, Garza, thank you guys.
08:24It was so much fun.
08:25You took me away from being so scaredy-cat
08:27and thinking about this whole thing
08:29that's going on in the world.
08:29It was nice to feel light for a moment.
08:31And it's all fun.
08:33You, in my eyes, you won the game
08:35because you stumped them like crazy.
08:37Number 43, Melissa Joan Hart as Lamb.
08:40Everyone's favorite teenage witch
08:41might not have lit up the Masked Singer stage for long,
08:44but they certainly made an impression.
08:46She's got it
08:48Yeah, baby, she's got it
08:54I'm your Venus
08:56I'm your fire
08:57For anyone who grew up watching her,
08:59this may have been a no-brainer.
09:01All the clues were certainly there.
09:03However, we were not exactly familiar
09:05with her singing voice,
09:06and she even admitted in her clue package
09:08that she's, quote,
09:09terrified of singing.
09:10Still, after hearing her rendition of Venus by Bananarama,
09:13a light bulb lit up for most of the panel
09:15who guessed correctly.
09:17Burning like a silver flame
09:20The sun made her beauty and love
09:24And Venus was her name
09:26Wow!
09:28She still managed to cast her spell on Ken
09:30who went down a different teen queen darling route
09:33guessing Dawson's Creek's Michelle Williams.
09:35I have never sang in front of people before
09:37It is terrifying to me
09:40So, this was like overcoming a fear
09:42and I did it, guys
09:45Number 42
09:46Montel Jordan as Panther
09:48His name popped up a few times
09:50over the course of the show
09:51Just not as Panther
09:52His take on Nina Simone's feeling good
09:54really threw everyone off
09:56showing a range way beyond his classic
09:58This Is How We Do It
09:59and keeping the judges guessing
10:11And at 6'8", his height didn't help either
10:14since it immediately sent them down the professional athlete path
10:17After the unmasking, he admitted he picked the song on purpose
10:20to hide his instantly recognizable voice
10:22Let me show you how we do it
10:25The one and only
10:27Montel Jordan
10:30This Is How We Do It
10:32The funniest part is how close they kept getting
10:34only to fail to pounce on the right answer
10:37when he was actually there
10:38right under their claws
10:39You threw us off with the two different vocal tones though, man
10:42Yes, you did
10:42You threw us way off
10:43Way off
10:44Number 41
10:45Clay Aiken and Ruben Stuttered as Beats
10:48While die-hard American Idol fans
10:50immediately picked up on Clay's signature belt
10:52and Ruben's smooth velvety tones
10:54the judges were totally thrown
11:06Part of that came down to expectations
11:09Most duos or groups on the show
11:11are already known as a package deal
11:13and since Ruben and Clay are famous as solo rivals
11:16the panel didn't think of them as a single act
11:18These guys have been killing the harmonies since they started
11:21We've gone through Broadway, actors
11:24but they sound like they've been singing together for so long
11:27Early guesses even leaned toward the beats being actors
11:29or comedians who could sing
11:31not legit vocal powerhouses
11:32By focusing on tight harmonies instead of big solo moments
11:36they cleverly hid their individual sounds at first
11:38No surprise, the judges were a little beet red
11:41once the reveal happened
11:49Number 40
11:50Jorge Garcia as Cyclops
11:52Season 7 was themed around
11:54the good, the bad, and the cuddly
11:55Cyclops was placed on Team Bad
11:57which instantly sent everyone hunting for bad boys
12:00villains or someone with a controversial reputation
12:13In fact, they ventured one guess that was right
12:16for a different masked singer
12:17The costume didn't help
12:19It was one of the biggest the show had ever seen
12:21with a massive build and so much detail
12:23that any real physical clues were completely swallowed up
12:39The performances were fun and likable
12:41but light on vocal giveaways
12:43leaving the panel guessing wildly and very incorrectly
12:46Needless to say
12:47we were all very lost
12:49right up until the mask came off
12:51So I guess the compass clue is lost
12:55Yeah, pretty much
12:57There's a lot of lost clues that flew right by you
13:00Number 39
13:01Jeff Dunham as Pirat
13:03The Pirat costume's biggest giveaway
13:05also turned out to be the biggest distraction
13:19He was literally holding a tiny version of himself in a crate
13:23which sent everyone spiraling into puppet master theories
13:26Naturally, that led to guesses like a director, producer, or voice actor
13:30The panel bounced between seasoned comedians and actors
13:33with instantly recognizable voices
13:35tying them in knots along the way
13:37This could be my good friend Robert Smigel
13:40who also has Triumph the Insult Comic Dog
13:43Guest judge Donny Osmond was the only one to guess correctly
13:47Known for speaking through his puppets
13:49Seeing Jeff Dunham perform solo in his own voice
13:51caught everyone completely off guard
13:53The reveal of the ventriloquist and comedian
13:56was pure misdirection genius
13:58Well, I've done a lot in my career
13:59but I think it's peaking at this very moment
14:01Number 38
14:02Hayley Arantia as Ringmaster
14:04The ringmaster took over season 7
14:07with big show-stopping performances
14:09and a seriously powerful voice
14:10that didn't quite match her low-key sweet presence
14:13Between her vocal range and on-stage confidence
14:26the panel was convinced she had to be a seasoned pop star
14:29or a Broadway pro
14:30and they pegged her as a top contender
14:32I thought in the first week it could have been Carrie Underwood
14:36I thought last week I was convinced it's Zara Larsson
14:39but she's Swedish
14:40so that's a long way from Nashville
14:42I think this could be Maren Morris
14:45When the mask came off and revealed Hayley Arantia
14:48best known as Erica Goldberg on The Goldbergs
14:50it left our jaws hanging
14:52even those of us who had tuned in to the sitcom for years
14:55Her versatility and stage presence took her to second place
14:58and reminded audiences that she's not just a strong actress
15:01but a genuinely impressive singer too
15:03You have no idea how much it means to me
15:06to be able to do what I love in front of you all
15:08and again, thank you for your compliments
15:10You need to do an album
15:11Yes, you do!
15:12I'm working on it, baby!
15:13Number 37
15:14Dee Snider as Doll
15:15Despite guessing Dee Snider's name
15:17for countless contestants over the years
15:19the judges somehow missed him
15:20when he finally showed up for real
15:22Don't you forget about me
15:28Don't, don't, don't, don't
15:31Don't you forget about me
15:35His identity was easy to overlook
15:37because everything about the doll
15:38felt like the opposite of what people expect
15:40from the Twisted Sister frontman
15:41Needless to say
15:42the not-so-rock-and-roll creepy doll-like costume
15:45immediately threw everyone off the scent
15:48Vince Neil, Tommy Lee, Nikki Six
15:50but I mean Vince Neil
15:52I don't think he has those legs
15:54but definitely someone in the Motley Crue family
15:57The voice behind the mask
15:58often leaned into a powerful rock edge
16:01leading many panelists
16:02to speculate other veteran musicians
16:04but few anticipated the
16:06we're not gonna take it singer
16:07to be behind the sequined face
16:08especially given his initial reluctance
16:10to join the show years prior
16:12You guys all look like you're shocked
16:14I guessed him so many times on this show
16:17You have been a guess on this show
16:19many a time
16:20Yes, I know
16:21Number 36
16:22Seal as Leopard
16:24The flamboyant Leopard
16:25sashayed onto the stage in season 2
16:27dazzling with an Elizabethan-era dress
16:30and purring through soulful renditions of major hits
16:32Somebody
16:33Somebody
16:34Somebody
16:35Can anybody find me
16:40Somebody to love
16:42Their bassy, diva-like catitude
16:45sparked widespread gender confusion among the panel
16:47leading to guesses ranging from RuPaul to Jamie Foxx
16:50While Seal has one of the most recognizable voices in music history
16:54He managed to stay in the competition until the semi-finals
16:57by completely reinventing his sound week after week
17:10By the time it came to the unmasking
17:12only Robin and Nicole had spotted who was under the mask
17:15Everyone else was left pretty perplexed
17:17until the cat was finally out of the bag
17:20Wow, we are in the presence of greatness once again
17:24Man, you had us all going with the get up
17:27You were in character the whole time
17:28Tell me about this experience
17:30Well, it's certainly one that I won't forget
17:32Number 35
17:33Bishop Briggs as Medusa
17:35Medusa captivated audiences in season 9
17:38with an otherworldly presence
17:39and a voice that soared with both power and raw emotion
17:58Her performances were consistently among the strongest
18:01leading panelists to speculate about pop divas
18:04rock legends and other established vocalists
18:06Yet her true identity remained elusive
18:09masked by incredible range and stage command
18:24Briggs has a distinct raspy alt-rock texture
18:26but deliberately chose songs that showcase different parts of a range
18:30Medusa became the first contestant saved by the ding-dong keep it on bell
18:33and went on to win the whole competition
18:35She kept audiences absolutely stunned from her first note to her big reveal
18:40Oh my gosh, this is the craziest, coolest thing ever
18:43Number 34
18:44Hanson as Russian Dolls
18:46The Russian Dolls bewildered the panel and audiences alike in season 5
18:50appearing as multiple figures yet singing with perfectly blended harmonies
19:11Their intricate performances and clever staging made it incredibly difficult to discern
19:16if it was one person, a duo or an entire group
19:19Then there was the fourth doll that turned out to be just a cheeky curveball
19:22Most of the general public still associated Hanson with the high-pitched youthful voices of their 1997 breakout hit Mbop
19:29So their mature, gritty, soulful, and sophisticated rock harmony was unfamiliar to many
19:34The collective unmasking of Isaac Taylor and Zach Hanson was a big old hit of nostalgia
19:48The fact that you spent all these years performing, you're always seen as a certain thing
19:53People think they know what you are
19:54And to be able to just start with music and focus on singing and say, hey, you don't know what's
19:58behind this
19:58Number 33
19:59Alexa Bliss as Axolotl
20:01The adorable Axolotl hit the stage in season 9 with a sweet, unassuming charm and a surprisingly heartfelt voice
20:18Her performance was bubbly and fun, leaving the panel throwing out all sorts of wild guesses
20:23Few, however, saw the powerhouse personality lurking beneath the cute exterior
20:28We can't say we expected WWE superstar Alexa Bliss to be revealed from under the Axolotl costume
20:44Known for her fierce presence in the wrestling ring
20:47Seeing her sing with such vulnerability was a complete departure from her usual persona
20:51Showing a brave, unexpected side
20:53She even admitted that she did the show to tackle stage fright
20:57Well, she's axolotl-ly amazing for daring to step out of her pond
21:00This was something that was personal for me because I have actually crippling stage fright when it comes to singing
21:07I actually cried backstage when we're coming out here because I was just so nervous
21:10But I am just so proud of myself because I conquered my fear
21:15Number 32
21:16Kevin Hart as Book
21:17This one's a little different
21:19The book made a grand entrance in season 11
21:22Appearing as an elaborate, oversized tome ready to unfold a story
21:35Their performance was, to put it mildly, more enthusiastically off-key than vocally polished
21:42Leaving panelists amused but bewildered about who would intentionally sound so comically bad
21:47In one of the most unconventional reveals ever, superstar comedian Kevin Hart literally wrote his own ending
21:53Nick! I'm gone! How do I get out of here?
21:56Wait, what the- wait! What are you-
21:57Come on!
21:58Oh, what? What?
21:59What?
21:59Wait, what the-
22:00What's happening?
22:01Before the judges could even make their guesses or the audience could vote
22:04Hart shocked everyone by purposely tearing off his mask in the season premiere
22:08Turns out this was simply to prank host Nick Cannon
22:10What a novel idea
22:12Oh, I got you, Nick!
22:13What are you doing?
22:14Oh, this is a prank!
22:16You had no idea!
22:17You had no idea that I was coming here, Nick!
22:20And guess what, Nick?
22:21Guess what, there's nothing you can do about it
22:23Number 31, Billie Jean King as Royal Hen
22:26Normally, if Ken guesses it, you can almost guarantee he's wrong
22:30But sometimes, even his out-of-left field, or should we say out-of-court guesses are right
22:35John wrote the song Philadelphia Freedom with Billie Jean King in mind
22:41Billie Jean King, needless to say, just a trailblazing pioneer
22:46To be fair, the biggest clue was hiding in plain sight
22:49By singing a song literally written for her, she dared the judges to connect the dots
22:54Surprisingly, they didn't, focusing on the freedom and patriotic themes instead
23:13She skipped high-energy dancing, which helped hide her coordination as a professional athlete
23:18The panel guessed other iconic trailblazing women, but went completely foul when it came to this icon
23:23Well, except Ken
23:24For everyone else, from the panel to the viewers, it was one extraordinary surprise
23:41Number 30, Nick Cannon as Bulldog
23:44During the fifth season, actress and comedian Niecy Nash stepped in for hosting duties
23:48After Nick Cannon tested positive for COVID
23:50In a season full of surprises, during the fifth week
23:54A new wildcard contestant was thrown into the mix
23:56Bulldog
24:05Bulldog sang Candy Girl by New Edition
24:07Leaving all of the panel totally barking up the wrong tree
24:10They threw out guesses like Chris Rock, Chris Tucker and Eddie Murphy
24:22Yet in a twist of events, it was Nash who called for this wildcard to be unmasked
24:27Well, you can't say Cannon doesn't know how to make an entrance
24:30Or re-entrance, we should say
24:32Number 29, Rumor Willis as Lion
24:35Born to two big-name Hollywood stars, talent runs deep in Willis' blood
24:40But on The Masked Singer, she wanted to step out of her nepo baby shadow and showcase her true self
24:55With five jaw-dropping performances, she revealed her incredible range
24:59Still, the panel could not sink their claws into the right identity
25:03Throwing out names like Michelle Williams, Kelly Rowland and Hailee Steinfeld
25:07Can even insisted the performer had to be a professional singer
25:21When Lion's time on the show ended sooner than we thought, we were shocked
25:25Not just by the elimination, but also by the reveal
25:29Just like the judges, nobody saw this one coming
25:31I knew how to dance and I, and I, everybody kind of figured out that I could do that
25:36But I wanted everyone to know that I can sing too
25:38Yes, you can
25:41Now, panel, you guys look super shocked
25:44Number 28, Chris Daughtry as Rottweiler
25:47This season two contestant really had the panel on their toes
26:01Every week, he blew everyone away with his amazing voice
26:04Nailing songs like Holland Oates' Maneater
26:06Lewis Capaldi's Someone You Loved
26:08And Mr. Brightside by The Killers
26:10By the time he got to see us alive in the finals
26:12The panel was throwing out names like Darren Criss, Jason Mraz, and Dave Franco
26:17Usually singers struggle to mask their voices
26:20But this guy kept everyone guessing with his versatility
26:32Honestly, he sang most of those songs just as well, if not better, than the originals
26:37It is wild that the panel never even came close to guessing his name
26:41Nobody guessed it! Grammy-nominated, multi-platinum, superstar recorded artist, Chris Daughtry
26:49Number 27, Drew Carey as Llama
26:51Wayne Brady almost outfoxed everyone during his time on the series
26:55But Carey's performance as Llama really pulled the wool over the panel's eyes
26:59She bangs, she bangs
27:01Oh baby, when she moves, she moves
27:04I go crazy cause she looks like a flower
27:07But she's still like a bee
27:09He's more known for his acting and comedy than singing
27:11Yet he managed to blend both for two unforgettable and unbelievably fun performances
27:16Even with hints like Me, Me, Me, Me, and Thinking on My Feet
27:20Nobody figured out that Carey was under the mask
27:22Why can't this crazy love be mine?
27:29For their final guesses, they tossed around a bunch of names
27:32Including Adam Carolla, Kelsey Grammer, Joel McHale, Johnny Knoxville, and Woody Harrelson
27:37So you could see their surprise when the truth was unmasked
27:41The one and only Drew Carey!
27:45I don't care!
27:48Number 26, Vanessa Hutchins as Goldfish
27:51If we hadn't been watching The Masked Singer, we would have probably guessed this one instantly
27:55Come on, her first song was clearly a nod to her high school musical days
28:07However, Vanessa Hutchins had been guessed so many times before
28:11That this felt like another red herring
28:13The show allowed Hutchins to break free of her most recognizable role
28:17And show audiences just how talented she is
28:30Rita and Jenny had no doubt in their minds that this was indeed Hutchins
28:34But Robin opted for Hilary Duff
28:36While Ken guessed Nicole Scherzinger
28:37Who had been absent that season
28:39Well, two out of four ain't bad
28:41I finally won, like, for my singing
28:46Number 25, Mark Sanchez as Baby Alien
28:49You might not have noticed Baby Alien's voice much
28:52Because that costume was just so freaking cute
29:03His kinda European accent and funny showmanship totally threw us for a loop
29:07Sports stars can really surprise us with their hidden skills
29:10And this one was no different
29:22The guesses from the panel were all over the place
29:25From Triumph the Insult Comic Dog to David Schwimmer
29:28Surprisingly, neither of those were Ken's guesses
29:31With some final picks like Freddie Prinze Jr. and Jeff Dunham
29:34No one got anywhere near the NFL quarterback underneath
29:37Hilariously, the reveal took extra time
29:40As it took a moment to separate Baby Alien from the man inside
29:43Take it off! Take it off!
29:46How do you take it off?
29:49I don't know!
29:51Number 24, Chris Jericho as Bride
29:53Chris Jericho wears many hats
29:55Wrestler, musician, actor, podcaster, author
30:00And in 2022, Bride
30:02While he couldn't really disguise the rock edge in his voice
30:05Jericho wasn't even on the panel's radar
30:08Or ours either
30:16Although we're guessing there are a few hardcore fans
30:19Who would recognize that growl anywhere
30:21Nicole was arguably the closest with her guests
30:24Thinking he might be Red Rocker Sammy Hagar
30:26Looking back, his unique voice and penchant for entertaining really stand out
30:38His reveal was just as fun as his performances
30:41With Jericho cracking jokes about his character and his elimination
30:44Hey, he could have been a Bridezilla about it all
30:47No, I gotta tell you, I am shocked
30:48Because I was having a great time
30:49This costume was amazing
30:51It's the best costume that I've seen on the show
30:53And I'm disappointed that I got beaten by an avocado
30:55Number 23, Linda Blair as Scarecrow
30:58Actress Linda Blair had a very short-lived masked singer experience
31:02And no, not because she was first voted off
31:04She actually chose to bow out herself
31:06I would like to officially bow out and unmask
31:11No!
31:11I know it shocked everybody
31:13They are great artists
31:14And I wanted them to go on and perform
31:17This is weird!
31:18What the heck?
31:19After a fun performance of Abracadabra by Steve Miller Band
31:22We thought Scarecrow was gonna stick around for a while
31:24But Linda shared that while she enjoyed her time on stage
31:27The show was becoming too much of a commitment
31:29And was pulling her away from her other priorities
31:31We will never forget the judges' shocked faces
31:34When that mask first came off
31:36And at least she used her platform for a good cause
31:38It was a surprising but classy exit
31:41And I felt my time is needed for those in need right now
31:44Thank you for using your platform
31:47In the best way possible
31:48We love you!
31:50Linda Blair!
31:50Number 22, Penn and Teller as Hydra
31:53Coming out in a three-headed costume
31:55Definitely added to the illusion of this character
31:57Hey soul sister
31:59I don't wanna miss a single thing to do
32:07Tonight
32:08Was it one person with a knack for voices?
32:11Two voices pretending to have a third?
32:13Or a three-person act?
32:15Eventually we figured it was probably a duo
32:17However, Penn and Teller didn't come to mind
32:20Because while Penn's voice is recognizable
32:22Teller usually remained silent
32:24Here though, he was not only singing
32:26But also putting on multiple voices
32:28I'm gonna fill you in
32:31They come running just as fast as they can
32:34Cause everybody's crazy about a sharp dressed man
32:38Guest panelist Nicole Byer
32:40Was the only one who guessed correctly
32:42During their final round
32:43Fooling the rest of the panel
32:45Is perhaps one of their greatest tricks yet
32:47Perhaps a little bit of a mislead
32:49Some people can recognize my voice
32:51So he gave Teller actually most of the singing
32:53So that maybe you wouldn't recognize his voice as much
32:58Number 21, Donnie Wahlberg as Cloodle Dew
33:00The fifth season of The Masked Singer
33:03Spiced things up and introduced Cloodle Dew
33:13A combination of a rooster and a court jester
33:16Cloodle Dew would appear and provide viewers extra clues about the contestants
33:20He eventually took to the stage himself
33:23Singing Return of the Mack by Mark Morrison
33:33Guesses ranged from Kevin James to Jamie Foxx to Akon
33:37But the truth ended up being far more surprising
33:39It was actually Donnie Wahlberg
33:42Who also happens to be panelist Jenny McCarthy's husband
33:45Have you been coming in each week in line?
33:47I've been sneaking in and out
33:50Oh my god!
33:51The fact that she didn't manage to guess her own partner
33:54Is just hilarious
33:55And yes, she was embarrassed about it
33:58Number 20, Rudy Giuliani as Jack in the Box
34:01This performer didn't last long
34:03But he sure left an impression
34:04Jack in the Box sang just one song
34:07George Thorogood and the Destroyer's Bad to the Bone
34:14Unfortunately, the celebrity drummed up quite a bit of controversy
34:17And his reveal was leaked before the episode had a chance to air
34:21It was President Donald Trump's personal attorney
34:24And ex-New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani
34:26Oh my goodness!
34:28Former Associate Attorney General!
34:31Former Mayor of New York City!
34:34Is that Robert Giuliani?
34:35No, that's not Robert Giuliani
34:37Rudy Giuliani!
34:40Giuliani is quite a contentious figure
34:42Owing to his involvement in the Trump administration
34:44The reveal caused an upset Ken Jeong to leave the set
34:48With Robin Thicke following him
34:50Even though it was spoiled beforehand
34:52The unmasking of Rudy Giuliani was quite a shock to the system
34:56Number 19, Kelly Osbourne as Ladybug
34:59Known for her singing, fashion and talk show appearances
35:03Not to mention her famous parents
35:05Kelly Osbourne is a household name
35:07That's why it was so wild that the panel didn't realize she was Ladybug
35:11The bright red insect appeared in the second season
35:14Performing four songs in total
35:16Smackdown included
35:17Before getting eliminated in week six
35:26For their final guesses
35:29Robin, guest panelist Triumph and Ken all guessed Lindsay Lohan
35:33Jenny for her part went with Paris Jackson
35:35While Nicole guessed Jamie Lynn Spears
35:37Imagine their surprise when the truth was revealed
35:40That's crazy, Kelly Osbourne!
35:45Never, never would have thought Osbourne
35:47Osbourne's fake southern accent certainly helped throw them
35:50And lots of folks watching off the scent
35:53Hey, no one said fake voices were against the rules
35:56Number 18, Khloe Kim as Jellyfish
35:59It's always a nice surprise when non-singers go far
36:02Jellyfish stunned everyone in season four
36:05She made it all the way to the penultimate episode
36:08And even one week nine with a stunning rendition of Dua Lipa's Don't Start Now
36:19There were even a few good clues
36:22Like the four X's on the tic-tac-toe board representing X Games gold medals
36:26Well, she can add the masked singer to her long list of accomplishments
36:30As this was Olympic gold medalist
36:32Snowboarder Khloe Kim
36:45The nods towards Jellyfish's athleticism
36:48Clued in Ken Jeong and guest panelist Craig Robinson
36:51Both of whom made correct guesses in the end
36:54Number 17, Larry the Cable Guy as Baby
36:57Like Khloe Kim
36:59The reveal of Larry the Cable Guy was unexpected
37:02Owing to his surprising talent as a singer
37:04As Baby, he notably performed a decent rendition of Barry White's
37:08You're the First, The Last, My Everything
37:11Which likely threw the panel off for good
37:19In fact, Ken Jeong once falsely identified Larry the Cable Guy as Banana back in season three
37:25Even funnier, Robin Thicke initially thought that he was another contestant on Baby's season Mallard
37:31Your first impression guest for the Mallard was Larry the Cable Guy
37:35Uh-oh
37:36Well, clearly you're not sticking with that because he's already been unmasked
37:40Poor guys were so close and yet so far
37:43For Baby, Jeong ultimately went with Gordon Ramsay
37:47And Thicke with Chuck Norris
37:49Larry the Cable Guy was clearly on their minds
37:52But they just couldn't figure him out as the giant baby
37:55Legendary superstar comedian Larry the Cable Guy
38:08Number 16, Tom Bergeron as Taco
38:11Tom Bergeron is an iconic television host
38:14And millions of people have been hearing his voice for years
38:18It's so recognizable that we should have pegged it instantly
38:28There were even a few obvious clues like the VHS tapes representing America's Funniest Home Videos
38:34Instead, Taco's identity came as quite a surprise
38:37Both Robin and Ken ultimately guessed Martin Short
38:41Prompting the latter to put his hands on his head upon the reveal
38:58Even Bergeron seemed flabbergasted that no one correctly figured him out
39:03As nearly all the panelists were friends or associates
39:06Put simply, the reveal of Tom Bergeron was just a whirlwind of confusion
39:11Of the regular panelists, the only person who's not a friend, not surprisingly, is Ken
39:16Number 15, Victor Oladipo as Thingamajig
39:19Clearly, athletes also make for pretty darn good singers
39:23Thingamajig went far in season 2
39:25Blowing us away with his performances and eventually placing 5th
39:30He even tackled a few singers whose tracks are not easy to nail
39:33Including Michael Bublé, John Legend and Bing Crosby
39:43And yes, he more than held his own throughout the competition
39:46It all contributed to making the eventual unmasking extra jaw-dropping
39:50Thingamajig wasn't mainly a professional singer
39:53As some viewers had maybe assumed
39:55But basketball player Victor Oladipo
40:10Ken Jeong was talented enough to get it right
40:12But pretty much everyone else was totally surprised
40:15And for very good reason
40:17Those who want to hear more of Oladipo's stellar voice
40:20Should check out his albums, though
40:22Cause now I'm singing this song, song to you
40:26Singing this song so true
40:29Number 14, Jackie Ivanko as Kitty
40:32Jackie Ivanko became a household name
40:35When she competed on the 5th season of America's Got Talent
40:38At just 10 years old
40:46This in turn helped launch her successful music career
40:49Which includes the platinum-selling EP Oh Holy Night
40:52And several successful albums
40:54She did well as Kitty on the Masked Singer
40:56Slaying songs like It's All Coming Back to Me Now
40:59And finishing in 5th place
41:01And she stumped everybody
41:08No one had her identity figured out in the end
41:12Even Nick Cannon
41:13Who got to know her when he was hosting America's Got Talent
41:16Seemed genuinely taken aback
41:30If not even he could predict the celebrity under the mask
41:33Viewers at home had absolutely no chance
41:36Number 13, Bret Michaels as Banana
41:39We mentioned Banana before
41:41As Ken Jeong thought he was Larry the Cable Guy
41:43Well, as you know
41:44He was way off
41:54Banana was not a comedian
41:56But professional singer Bret Michaels
41:58Who is primarily known as the frontman of Poison
42:01But what's surprising about this reveal
42:03Is arguably how unsurprising it was
42:06Everyone but Ken Jeong correctly guessed Bret Michaels
42:09With guest panelist Sharon Osbourne
42:11Fully convinced it was him under the mask
42:24Maybe the clues were too obvious
42:26Or maybe his voice is simply too recognizable
42:28It almost made it hard to believe it was actually him
42:32Considering the masked singer is usually better at concealing singer's identities
42:36Number 12, Gladys Knight as B
42:38Like Bret Michaels
42:40Gladys Knight was pegged by pretty much everyone
42:48Once again, Ken Jeong was the only panelist to make an incorrect final guess
42:52As he went with Anita Baker
42:54So sure, maybe the reveal itself wasn't all that surprising
42:58But if you ask us
42:59The sheer mythical quality of Gladys Knight herself
43:02Made it an unmasking for the books
43:04Indeed
43:05The masked singer got themselves a real legend
43:20The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee has too many amazing accomplishments to even list
43:25Including multiple Grammys and number one singles
43:28It was a huge boon to the show's popularity and credibility
43:31Proving that the producers could get the big names
43:34Why would you do a show like this?
43:36Because we should always strive to do different kinds of things
43:41Because they elevate us eventually
43:42That's right
43:43Number 11, Wiz Khalifa as Chameleon
43:46The masked singer needed a hip-hop star
43:48And Chameleon was its answer
43:50We're chameleons in the crib, ma
43:52Drop it like this
43:53Hey, hey, hey
43:54Placing third, the Chameleon wowed both the audience and the judges
43:58With strong performances of various hip-hop classics
44:01Including Drop It Like It's Hot and Gangsta's Paradise
44:04I can't live a normal life
44:06I was raised by the streets
44:07So I gotta be damned with the hood, teen
44:10The final guesses ranged between Gucci Mane, 2 Chainz, and Wiz Khalifa
44:14And the latter was correctly guessed by Robin Thicke and Nicole Scherzinger
44:18Perhaps it didn't come as a huge shock given the correct guesses
44:21But Wiz remains one of the biggest names the show has ever revealed
44:25Come on, Wiz!
44:27Take this out!
44:29Multi-platinum mega star
44:32The one and only
44:33Wiz Khalifa
44:35The recipient of three platinum-selling albums and four top ten singles
44:39Wiz is a bona fide rap superstar
44:42Number 10, T-Pain as Monster
44:45Despite being a prominent R&B artist
44:47T-Pain surprised everyone with a number of popular rock and pop songs
44:59This included Queen's Don't Stop Me Now, Lenny Kravitz's American Woman, and Sam Smith's Stay With Me
45:05I don't want you to leave, can you hold my hand?
45:10Oh, won't you stay with me?
45:14Perhaps this, combined with the lack of his signature auto-tune, is what made the eventual T-Pain reveal so
45:21unpredictable
45:21In fact, none of the judges correctly assumed T-Pain's identity
45:25With all five guessing someone different, including Jamie Foxx and Michael Vick
45:30T-Pain ended up winning as the monster, and it concluded the show's first season on an excellent note
45:36T-Pain!
45:38T-Pain!
45:39T-Pain!
45:40No way!
45:42Are you kidding me?
45:44T-Pain!
45:45No!
45:46No!
45:46With it, the masked singer proved that it had the capabilities to shock and surprise millions
45:52Number 9, Ninja as Ice Cream
45:55Video game streamer Ninja appeared in one episode of the second season as Ice Cream
46:07He performed Lil Nas X and Billy Ray Cyrus' Old Town Road
46:10And pulled out Devo's Whippet during the Smackdown with Ladybug
46:20Unfortunately, both of his performances proved lackluster, and he was the first person of
46:25the group sent home
46:26His clue package had various references to gaming, leading Ken Jeong to guess PewDiePie
46:31I was thinking, when you're talking about the millions of views, I do wonder if you are
46:36a gamer
46:36Ooh, I like that
46:38It was the closest anyone would get, as no one was expecting megastar Twitch streamer
46:44Ninja
46:44We're sure some of the younger viewers were able to identify him, especially with the helpful
46:49Karate Chop clue
46:50I knew it!
46:53I knew it!
46:54It's Ninja!
46:54I knew it the whole time!
46:56But the rest of us were as flabbergasted as the judges
46:59Number 8, Logan Paul as Grandpa Monster
47:02Despite being the Grandpa Monster, it was very obvious that someone young was underneath the
47:08costume owing to their wild energy
47:14In fact, Logan Paul is the second youngest male contestant in the show's history, being
47:20just 25 at the time of his unmasking
47:27Grandpa Monster lasted two weeks, remaining safe with his performance of Mambo No. 5, but
47:32losing with Joan Jett's bad reputation
47:40Various clues led to Nicole guessing Jake Paul, Logan's younger brother
47:44Maybe it wasn't a big shock for her, but the reveal proved hugely surprising to the rest
47:48of us
47:49Turns out, Logan Paul really knows how to put on a good show
47:52Oh!
47:53It's Logan Paul!
47:55Oh!
47:56Oh!
47:57Oh!
47:57Oh my god!
47:58I cannot believe that!
48:00Number 7, Mickey Rourke as Gremlin
48:03Mickey Rourke was the last celebrity we expected to see on The Masked Singer
48:15Rourke often plays tough guys on screen and is a bit of a tough guy himself, even going
48:20undefeated during his professional boxing career.
48:23Rourke appeared as the Gremlin in the show's fourth season and performed Benny King's
48:28Stand By Me
48:34However, Rourke began to feel hot inside the costume and unmasked himself in a moment of
48:39shocking unpredictability.
48:52We don't know how much of that was pre-planned, but both the premature exit and the reveal
48:57of Rourke made for one of the most memorable moments in Masked Singer history
49:06Number 6, Busta Rhymes as Dragon
49:08If nothing else, Busta Rhymes' Dragon costume was amazing.
49:13It's just a shame we didn't get to see much of it.
49:20Rhymes appeared in just one episode of the show's fourth season, performing LL Cool J's
49:25Mama Said Knock You Out.
49:33Both Robin and Nicole were on him from the very beginning, and both made Busta Rhymes' Dragon
49:38Rhymes' first impression guesses.
49:40And then there's Ken guessing Michael Phelps.
49:43In the clue package, there was so much gold.
49:45There were gold medals in that house.
49:47There was water in that house.
49:49And just stay with me.
49:52Stopwatch is the timing for all those amazing breaststrokes.
49:57He is a beast.
49:59Michael Phelps, yes.
50:00Not sure what happened there.
50:01While the reveal wasn't too surprising owing to the confidence of Robin and Nicole, it
50:06was still quite a shock seeing Busta Rhymes go home so early.
50:20You would think that a 12-time Grammy-nominated artist would have stuck around a little longer.
50:24Maybe his voice was just too recognizable.
50:28Number five, Lil Wayne as Robot.
50:30This is the most shocked I've ever been on this show.
50:33The masked singer has scored some big names, but few as big as Lil Wayne.
50:38This rapper has released nine platinum albums and 26 platinum selling singles.
50:43I have come to save the day.
50:47And I won't leave until I'm done.
50:50In fact, he's one of the highest selling musical artists in history,
50:54having pushed over 120 million records throughout his career.
50:58Getting a legend like this on a singing competition is a very rare occurrence.
51:03And it made Lil Wayne's reveal an unforgettable moment in masked singer history.
51:14He appeared in the third season as Robot, but unfortunately didn't last very long.
51:19He finished in last place, having received a poor reception for his rendition of Are You Gonna Go My Way?
51:31Number four, Tony Hawk as Elephant.
51:40This is another case of a kick-ass costume gone way too soon.
51:45Appearing in just one episode of the third season,
51:48The Elephant performed The Cure's Friday I'm In Love.
51:51Unfortunately, the performance was deemed lackluster, and poor Elephant received the boot.
51:56Monday, you can't fall apart.
52:00Tuesday, Wednesday, break my heart.
52:03When it comes to the masked singer, fans are typically guessing the likes of musicians,
52:07actors, and internet or talk show personalities, not professional skateboarders.
52:12Perhaps this is why none of the judges guessed Tony Hawk.
52:15Originally, because of the drumming in the package, I was thinking drummer Tommy Lee.
52:21But I've had a change of heart.
52:23I'm thinking it could be my buddy DJ Steve Aoki.
52:27In fact, no one was even close.
52:30Despite being a household name, absolutely no one was expecting to see the skateboarding legend behind the mask.
52:36Still, it was a welcome surprise.
52:38Tony Hawk!
52:42Iconic and legendary skateboarder!
52:45Number 3. Dick Van Dyke as Gnome
52:48How many generations grew up watching Dick Van Dyke?
52:51He's a national treasure!
52:53Scratch that, an international treasure.
52:55So there was no way we ever expected him to show up on The Masked Singer.
52:58Keep on smiling, cause when you're smiling, the whole world smiles with you.
53:08The panel made some A-list guesses too, like Dustin Hoffman, Robert De Niro, and Tony Bennett.
53:14Yet, we're not sure even they could have topped the reaction this reveal received.
53:17It's not every day you see a living legend come out from a gnome after all.
53:21An honor! We are in the presence of an icon, ladies and gentlemen!
53:26At 97, he became the oldest celeb to participate in the competition.
53:30To be honest, they could have wrapped up the season right there, because nothing else would have been as shocking.
53:35I love you so much! We love you! The whole world loves you so much!
53:41It's an honor to have you on our show!
53:44Number 2. Sarah Palin as Bear
53:51Tell us you expected Sarah Palin to be on The Masked Singer, and we will call you a liar.
53:57This is undoubtedly one of the show's most unexpected reveals.
54:01Not only owing to the mere presence of Palin, but because she performed, of all songs, Sir Mix-a-Lot's
54:06Baby Got Back.
54:13It's an unexpected song from an unexpected guest.
54:16And that is what The Masked Singer is all about.
54:19Palin also made history from her tenure, including being the first female to rap, and the first political figure to
54:26appear on the show.
54:36It was great seeing her let loose and have some fun, and the audience had a ton of fun alongside
54:41her.
54:42Number 1. Kermit the Frog as Snail
54:51Is having Kermit the Frog on The Masked Singer sort of cheating?
54:56Maybe, but it was still a ton of fun.
54:59Kermit appeared in the fifth season as the snail.
55:02It was a brilliant bit of costume design, allowing puppeteer Matt Vogel to remain out of view because he stayed
55:08inside the shell,
55:09in which a motorized wheelchair was reportedly installed.
55:12You make my dreams come true.
55:16Kermit performed Hall & Oates' You Make My Dreams Come True.
55:19And hearing it now, the singer's identity could not have been more obvious.
55:23But no one had any idea it was him, with guesses ranging from comedians like Seth MacFarlane and Billy Crystal
55:30to Ted Cruz.
55:32We had Sarah Palin in season 3, so I thought, maybe someone political.
55:36And then I went, oh, there was an American Eagle with Dr. Drew.
55:39Yeah.
55:40And there's a bear named Ted.
55:41Could it be Senator Ted Cruz?
55:45This was one of the most memorable reveals from the show, but guessing a fictional character would have been near
55:52impossible.
55:53What's going on?
55:53Who is it?
55:54I'm really confused.
55:55Is there a body inside there?
55:57Ow!
55:57There's something in there!
55:58What's going on?
56:01What?
56:01What?
56:02What?
56:05Oh my god!
56:07Which reveal had your jaw dropping to the ground?
