00:00The Glamour Toad is back to claim my crown, and I ain't croaking.
00:04Welcome to Ms. Mojo, and today we're counting down our picks for Drag Race entrance looks that didn't quite meet
00:10the mark.
00:11Spoilers will be mentioned, so this is your official warning.
00:14Boot.
00:16Toot.
00:17Boot.
00:18Toot!
00:19You're such a horrible toot.
00:23Number 10, Rebecca Glasscock.
00:25What's up?
00:26Hey, gorgeous.
00:27What's your name, darling?
00:28Rebecca Glasscock.
00:29Oh my god.
00:29Pleasure.
00:30Nice meeting you, darling.
00:31It may have been the very first episode of the franchise, but that doesn't mean the standards were any lower.
00:36Rebecca Glasscock immediately left an impression the moment she strutted into the workroom in a pair of jeans and an
00:41off-the-shoulder yellow t-shirt.
00:42I'm just a small-town girl from sunny Florida with a big dream of becoming the next drag superstar.
00:51While it would have been an adorable outfit had she been going out to lunch with friends, it wasn't exactly
00:56the best way to enter a fashion-forward competition.
00:58It seemed even more casual compared to what many of the other contestants had opted to wear, causing her to
01:04stand out even more.
01:05It was the very definition of mall drag.
01:07But while her entrance look failed to impress, she still went on to make it to the finale.
01:12I've made it this far.
01:13I've come all the way from Florida to California, and they're looking for the next drag superstar.
01:19So why would I go home?
01:21Number 9.
01:22Deja Skye
01:29A pair of jeans may be too casual for the likes of America's next drag superstar, but at least they
01:34can help create a cohesive look.
01:36Not every queen who attempts to go outside the box can say the same.
01:40Deja Skye proved that when she arrived during the second episode of the 14th season.
01:44I wanted to walk in as quintessential Deja.
01:47I didn't want to walk in, like, I wanted the people at home to be like, that's Deja Skye.
01:51Like, I wanted the world to know my aesthetic, my vibe.
01:54She made her entrance in a pink polka dot two-piece ensemble over a slightly sheer white long-sleeved shirt.
01:59It was topped off with a light green wig that clashed with just about every aspect of the outfit.
02:04I just don't think it's very, like, cohesively...
02:10Outstanding?
02:11Outstanding.
02:12Yeah.
02:12Needless to say, it was panned by viewers and fellow queens alike.
02:16Although she still stands by her choice, she did step it up for her return to the stage in All
02:21Stars 10.
02:22Deja vu. Bitch, I'm back.
02:2460 pounds lighter, but same great flavor.
02:29I'm so tacky, I love it.
02:30We've heard that the best way to recover from a fashion flop is to tune in to the 24-7
02:34Miz Mojo livestream.
02:36Scan the QR code on the screen to join for hours of non-stop pop culture fun.
02:40I'm a narcissist!
02:41I love watching myself back.
02:43Number 8.
02:44Melinda Verga.
02:45There's a thin line between camp and fashion flop.
02:48Unfortunately for Melinda Verga, her rainbow pinstripe jumpsuit fell into the second category.
02:54Although there is certainly nothing wrong with celebrating pride on a show honoring a primarily queer art form,
02:59there are better ways to go about it.
03:01We're finally here, Edmonton!
03:03Rawr, rawr, rawr, rawr!
03:05I could not be more proud to be the first queen from Edmonton.
03:10Woo!
03:11I'm gonna bring high energy.
03:12I'm gonna bring talent.
03:14Had there been some more padding to give the outfit some shape, then it could have been salvaged.
03:19Unfortunately, that wasn't the case.
03:20And other queens were unafraid to point out their own dislike for it.
03:24Who do we think is top and bottom of the week already?
03:28Just your first impressions.
03:30I think you're gonna be in the bottom.
03:32The bottom!
03:34The shade!
03:36Melinda has gone on to defend her choice,
03:38saying that she was inspired by a protest she attended
03:40and that she wanted to exude vibrance and high energy.
03:43To her credit, she definitely achieved that goal,
03:46at the cost of a stunning look.
03:47Melinda is shocked that she didn't get a rosebud,
03:51and I'm just thinking,
03:53really, girl?
03:54With that look?
03:55I don't think you're getting any rosebuds anytime soon, baby.
03:58Number 7.
04:00Magnolia Crawford
04:00Go, girl.
04:01Give us nothing.
04:02As soon as Magnolia strolled through the door of the workroom,
04:05it was obvious that the other queens had arrived at a slightly higher caliber than her.
04:10I'm 28 years old, and I am Seattle's sexiest drag queen.
04:14I'm not sexy.
04:15Seattle's funniest drag queen.
04:17I'm not funny.
04:18Um, I view myself as the world's most glamorous trash queen.
04:24She had opted for an all-black ensemble,
04:27complete with statement pieces for some added flair.
04:30Unfortunately for her,
04:31the zebra-striped cardigan and golden accessories could only do so much to save it.
04:35What inspired your look today?
04:37Well, I was feeling kind of animal.
04:39I've got the lions.
04:41All about you was off of Peg Bundy.
04:43Some reviewers felt that the look aged her beyond her years,
04:46and it's hard to disagree.
04:47At the very least, her wig was teased,
04:50but that didn't do much to help the overall look.
04:52The level of effort put into the outfit was an early indicator of her performance,
04:57which resulted in her getting the boot first.
04:59The thing is, all publicity is good publicity, so I'm gonna take it and run with it.
05:05Number 6.
05:06Mystique Summers-Madison
05:07Hi, Mystique.
05:08Hey, girl.
05:09All right.
05:10How's it going for you?
05:11Kind of rough.
05:12Rough?
05:12Really?
05:13Oh, you don't have a dress for...
05:15This is the biggest one.
05:16When it comes to introducing yourself on RuPaul's Drag Race,
05:20bigger is always better.
05:22Unfortunately, Mystique Summers-Madison didn't get that memo
05:25when she walked through the door during the first episode of Season 2.
05:28Big girls are gonna represent this year.
05:31Cheeseburger, Taco Bell, and a Diet Coke on the side, girl.
05:34While her sleeveless top and black pants would have popped off for a night out at the local bar,
05:38it didn't do much to impress the contestants or the viewers of the show.
05:41It also didn't stand out during the first mini-challenge,
05:44with it being left unaffected by a fan creating the illusion of wind.
05:48It set the tone for her runway look later on that episode,
05:51which landed her in the bottom three.
05:53Pull it together, my dear.
05:56Since I was almost cut, now I'm gonna work even harder
06:00because I believe I still can be the next dramatic superstar.
06:03Number 5.
06:03Jade Jolie.
06:04Hey.
06:05Hey.
06:06What's going on, such a cat?
06:07What's going on?
06:08Much like Mystique, her less-than-stellar entrance
06:11ended up serving as unfortunate foreshadowing for her style the remainder of the episode.
06:15There was so much going on with Jade Jolie's outfit
06:18that it's hard to pinpoint exactly where to start.
06:20Between the knee-high black boots, multiple belts,
06:23leggings resembling snakeskin,
06:25and the hat and top adorned with seemingly every trinket she's ever owned,
06:29it was the very definition of too much.
06:31What do you think is going on right now?
06:35Um, I'm not sure.
06:37While one could argue she was attempting to display a campy look,
06:41it missed the mark and ended up coming across as gaudy instead.
06:45Perhaps it's for the best that it was submerged in a giant tank of water
06:48shortly afterwards for the photo shoot.
06:50Her cheek's like a chipmunk.
06:51That doesn't make for a very pretty glamour shot.
06:53Let's give you a new parrot fish.
06:55I was giving Helen Keller drowning realness.
06:58Ooh, wet and wild.
07:01Number 4.
07:01Bob the Drag Queen.
07:03Not even former winners are exempt from having a disappointing entrance look.
07:07I don't know what I was thinking with this necklace.
07:09I don't know.
07:10What is it?
07:11Like, why would I wear this necklace?
07:13It's like this big.
07:15This was also my first time ever stacking a wig.
07:18Although Bob the Drag Queen excelled at several of the challenges on season 8,
07:22viewers might not have been able to guess that based on what she arrived in.
07:25The champion showed up wearing a simple black and white leotard
07:28with the letters U-N-T written on the front,
07:30with a strategic pose spelling out the rest of the words
07:33she likely couldn't get away with showing on TV.
07:36Nobody says it all.
07:39You're welcome.
07:40She exuded confidence from the very get-go,
07:43but even that wasn't enough to distract from how simple the outfit was.
07:46While she didn't necessarily need to pull out all of the stops at once,
07:50she could have easily jazzed it up some more.
07:52I made the leotard, and actually, this was the second iteration of it.
07:58The first one was gold, and the fabric did not stretch properly,
08:03so I had to make it all over again in black and white.
08:08Deja Skye isn't the only queen from the 14th season to show up in an unfortunate look.
08:12A week prior to her polka dots bursting onto the scene,
08:16June Jambalaya arrived at the premiere episode in an even more confounding ensemble.
08:20Grab a fork, ladies. Jambalaya is served.
08:24Bitch, that's June.
08:25Given Cornbread's reaction,
08:27you'd think she arrived in couture rather than her actual outfit.
08:30For the occasion, she selected a pink turtleneck top
08:33that she layered underneath a spaghetti-strapped floral jumpsuit.
08:36She then paired both selections with an open-toed heel
08:39that did nothing to elevate them.
08:41Not even her gorgeous wig and stamped mug
08:43were enough to distract from her unfortunate fashion choices,
08:46which were later read by the queens of Fashion Photo Review.
08:49I don't know.
08:50I don't like this section.
08:53Yeah.
08:53This section.
08:55The bottom section.
08:57But I like the hair I was flipping into and your beat.
08:59You know what?
09:00No.
09:00No.
09:01We're really being nice.
09:02No.
09:03If you're gonna go lounge resort,
09:04then we're a caftan, you know.
09:06Number two, Dita Ritz.
09:08Unlike other queens featured on this list,
09:10her less-than-stellar introductory look
09:12ended up serving as a red herring.
09:14It's hard to describe Dita Ritz's fashion choices
09:16for her arrival to the show,
09:17given that it seems she grabbed a random assortment of clothes
09:21and paired them together.
09:22Dita Ritz is, if you think about Beyonce and Carrie Bradshaw
09:27and Kimora Simmons,
09:28and they all three got together and somehow had a baby.
09:30Every piece managed to clash,
09:32from her yellow graphic t-shirt to the blazer
09:35to the fringed blue open-toed heels.
09:37She paired all of that with a flat wig
09:39and all the confidence in the world,
09:41which is likely what earned her that initial excited reaction.
09:44Dita Ritz look a mess.
09:46That dry-ass wig and that awful-ass makeup.
09:50While her outfit may have given first-out vibes,
09:53she did well both in the photo shoot and the first runway,
09:56letting fans know that it had been a temporary lapse in taste.
09:59I'm doing my runway.
10:01It's sickening.
10:02I am definitely channeling Naomi.
10:04I am channeling Giselle.
10:05I'm feeling it.
10:06Before we unveil our top pick,
10:08here are some honorable mentions.
10:10Scarlet Envy.
10:11A look so underwhelming that she later redid it
10:14for a redemption runway on All-Stars 6.
10:17And this is the remix.
10:18Stop relying on that pot of jelly.
10:22We are bronze.
10:23These legs are shiny, ethereal.
10:26I feel like I'm ready to be hung up in the Met.
10:29I just feel gorgeous.
10:31Stacey Lane Matthews.
10:32The simple dress did nothing to highlight her beauty
10:35or stand out amongst the rest.
10:37Very much so a country queen.
10:38I live on a dirt road surrounded by cornfields.
10:41Can't get more country than that.
10:43We got two of y'all tonight.
10:44Okay.
10:46Cameron Michaels.
10:47Her floral frock came across as ready-to-wear
10:50instead of haute couture.
10:51Well, I auditioned for Pit Crew,
10:53but this is gonna be way more fun.
10:56That's a man, Maury.
10:57La La Rie.
10:58She looked great from the waist up,
11:00but a lack of bottoms made the outfit seem incomplete.
11:04Girl, not gonna lie, I was expecting a little bit more.
11:07Your entrance look is a basic bodysuit, a blazer,
11:11and this kind of like flat wig.
11:13Okay, cute.
11:14Sumting Wong.
11:15The dress was fine on its own,
11:17but the flower-adorned shawl was a bizarre addition.
11:20I feel that my drag is glam, but on a budget,
11:23because I can't afford all the nice things,
11:24so I make them all myself.
11:25You look fabulous.
11:26So do you.
11:27I've never seen EastEnders look so glam.
11:31If you love games,
11:33be sure to check out WatchMojo's new game,
11:35Terrible Influence,
11:36just launched for purchase at TerribleInfluence.com.
11:39Terrible Influence is a satirical board game
11:41about the dark side of fame
11:42from the writer of the most popular girls in school
11:45and us, WatchMojo.
11:46Boom.
11:47I can make an apology video.
11:49Oh, you so would.
11:50Click on the link in the description
11:51to check out the game
11:52and be the first to play Terrible Influence.
11:57Number one, Ginger Minj.
11:59Not everything needs to be translated
12:01into a high-fashion concept.
12:02God, my cholesterol's higher
12:03than your standards these days.
12:05Ginger Minj has always described herself
12:08as a glamour toad,
12:09with the phrase dating back to season seven.
12:11She decided to reference this
12:13with her entrance look on All-Star 6.
12:15Feeling froggy?
12:18I cannot.
12:19What are you wearing?
12:20Unfortunately,
12:21an actual amphibian with a sickening outfit
12:23likely would have been better received.
12:25She walked in wearing a pink and green jumpsuit
12:27covered in balls that served as fake warts.
12:30She'd also created a faux toad on her shoulders
12:33using giant buttons with lashes.
12:35Had the rest been more glam,
12:37then that effect may have come across better.
12:39Instead,
12:40it was just one more clashing feature
12:42on an already overcrowded garment.
12:44And the original message behind it
12:46was lost to the unfortunate execution.
12:48I see where she was trying to go.
12:50Actually, I don't see where she was trying to go.
12:52I, uh, it, no.
12:53Mm-mm.
12:54Booped.
12:56Which of these looks did you find the most disappointing?
12:59Let us know in the comments.
