00:31Amen.
01:00Amen.
01:30Amen.
02:00Amen.
02:50Now that we've gone over all the basic fundamentals of Hapkido, I'm going to introduce to you
02:55the self-defense part of Hapkido, which is all realistic graphs of defenses against
02:59them.
03:00Remember when we talked about the three major principles of Hapkido, non-resistance, circular
03:04motion, and water principle.
03:06Now you're going to see all these three principles in action.
03:09We start with the first 13 basic lapel grabs.
03:13Number one.
03:15One of the most important things you want to do when somebody grabs you is that you don't
03:20want to end up standing like this and be panicked or anything.
03:23You want to just be very relaxed and look at them straight in the eye.
03:27Start with number one.
03:29Left hand under.
03:31Right hand palm down.
03:33Turning the wrist clockwise.
03:35Stepping left foot forward to a wide horse dance.
03:38Right inside your opponent's legs to make them go off balance a little bit.
03:42From here, what you want to do, you want to twist the wrist.
03:45Press straight up while your tricep is pressing the elbow.
03:49Straight down.
03:49Keeping your back straight.
03:51Not leaning forward.
03:52Keeping it straight down.
03:54This hole could be finished with a damaging blow to the temple which is very direct.
04:01One more time.
04:02Slow motion.
04:04Same thing.
04:05Left hand under.
04:06Make sure you make an eye contact.
04:07Turn.
04:08Step forward.
04:09Push straight down.
04:10And finish.
04:13This time we'll do the whole thing.
04:14Street speed.
04:24Next one, number two has a little more direct approach.
04:28This one.
04:29When the person grabs you, left hand straight under with the heel of the right hand.
04:35Pushing it against the thumb.
04:37Pressing the nail straight in.
04:39Grabbing with the three fingers.
04:41Grabbing the whole joint with the right index finger open.
04:45Stepping right foot back to a front stance for your own balance.
04:49Pushing the thumb straight down.
04:52One more time.
04:54Left hand straight under.
04:56The heel of the palm.
04:58Grabbing the nail.
05:00Pushing it.
05:01Stepping right foot back.
05:03This hole could be finished by turning the wrist.
05:08Stepping forward and back.
05:10And by synchronizing the timing of you twisting the hip.
05:14Breaking the elbow.
05:17Turning.
05:19Stomp kick.
05:20Now we're going to do the technique one more time slow.
05:23Remember something.
05:23Even if you don't have anybody to work with.
05:26You can still visualize someone in front of you.
05:28And the power of visualization is one of the strongest sense in a human being.
05:32Now this time.
05:33Left hand under.
05:35The heel of the palm.
05:37Against the thumb.
05:38Stepping right foot back to a front stance.
05:40Pushing it straight down.
05:42For a finish.
05:44You could be twisting the elbow.
05:46Stepping forward and cross stepping.
05:49Synchronizing timing.
05:50Between twisting and switching your stance.
05:52And hitting the elbow at the same time.
05:54All right.
05:55From here.
05:56Go with the momentum.
05:58Turn.
05:59Stomp kick.
06:00To the head.
06:01Now what I'm going to do.
06:02Is do number two at street speed.
06:18Jump speed.
06:20Number three lapel.
06:23This one.
06:25Right hand.
06:26And the right thumb.
06:27You could be pressing.
06:28Between two major muscles.
06:30which control the right thumb and the right index finger, knowing that any time you strike
06:36in between two major muscles, you're creating a charley horse.
06:39Now with the right thumb, pressing straight, twisting the wrist clockwise, both thumbs
06:47under your opponent's thumb, right hand grab first, then left, stepping right foot back
06:53to a front stance, leaning forward, pressing with your body weight straight down.
06:58This hole could be finished by stepping over to a wide force stance and pressing against
07:04the elbow.
07:11One more time, slow motion, pressing in between the two muscles with your right thumb, turning
07:18it clockwise, both thumbs under, stepping right foot back, pushing it straight forwards, straight
07:26against the joint, towards him, stepping over with your left foot to a wide force stance,
07:32pressing against the elbow.
07:38This time we'll be doing the same thing at street speed.
07:58Now, number four.
08:00This time, left hand under, right hand, palm facing up, grab.
08:07If you notice the elbow, there is a point that the elbow bends.
08:12What you want to do, you want to come about the inch lower, there's a little pressure point
08:15over there.
08:16What you want to do, when you grab the left hand with your right thumb, step left foot
08:21out and press in this pressure point at the same time.
08:26Step right, duck under the arm, stepping right behind your opponent.
08:32Pressing the wrist and the elbow together to break the wrist.
08:36Step left foot forward, right foot back for a good balance.
08:40Pressing the wrist straight against his own ribs, pulling it back.
08:44Make sure your opponent right now should be on his toes.
08:47Pulling the elbow straight back.
08:49From here, drop your right hand straight on the ribs, making sure that he can't strike back
08:55with his hand.
08:56And right back hand.
09:03One more time.
09:05Make sure you do this right with a partner or if you don't have a partner, just on your
09:09own.
09:10This time, left hand under, pressing straight on that little pressure point, stepping left
09:15foot out.
09:17Then right, duck under.
09:18Make sure you never raise your arm.
09:20Okay?
09:21Ducking straight under and fast.
09:23If you stay there for too long, you might run a chance of getting the choke hold.
09:27Duck.
09:29Breaking the wrist and the elbow.
09:31Stepping left foot forward, wrist up, elbow up.
09:35Pushing it straight down.
09:37Knee to the back, back hand.
09:40Now this time, I'll be doing the whole thing with the realistic speed.
09:58Number five lapel or arm bar.
10:01This one is one of the major Hapkido techniques.
10:04Remember something.
10:04To create any kind of hold, all you need to do is press against the joint.
10:09And it will cause discomfort.
10:11This one starts just like number three.
10:14Same principle.
10:15Right thumb over, turning the wrist.
10:17This time, instead of stepping back, you step into your opponent.
10:23Closing that gap right in between you two.
10:26Open your fingers with the wrist bone.
10:29Coming behind the elbow and kind of turning it circular.
10:33Making him go straight down, right inside your legs.
10:37This one also could be finished by stepping left foot forward and pressing against the shoulder.
10:50One more time.
10:52Grabbing over, turning it, stepping forward.
10:56Make sure you don't push this straight down with your shoulder.
10:59What you need to do, you need to use the circular motion principle by making a big circle out of
11:05his whole arm.
11:07So from here, under, keeping the wrist tight to your chest.
11:11Under and over, straight down.
11:14Stepping forward.
11:16Oh, pressing against the shoulder.
11:23This time at full speed.
11:46Number six lapel.
11:47This one is a complete take down.
11:49This time, left hand grab the shoulder.
11:51Right hand will grab the lapel.
11:54Step left foot out.
11:56Pressing the thumb right inside the throat.
11:59Twisting the upper body.
12:01Bringing your right leg up.
12:03Hitting heel against heel.
12:05And taking him straight down.
12:07Finish with a reverse punch.
12:10Let's look at the same hole from a different angle.
12:12This time, left hand grab.
12:14Right hand grab the lapel.
12:16Step left foot out.
12:17The thumb goes right inside the throat.
12:20Twisting him.
12:20Making him drop all his body weight on his right leg.
12:24The right leg come up.
12:26Hit heel against heel.
12:27Take him straight down.
12:29Finish with a reverse punch.
12:35This time, we'll do it at full speed.
12:51Number seven lapel.
12:53This time, when the opponent grabs you, remember the same pressure point that we did on number four lapel?
12:59This time, we're going to press on the same pressure point again, but with your left hand.
13:02So what you want to do, you want to close this gap between you and your opponent.
13:06So with your left hand, you press the pressure point and step left foot out at the same time.
13:11Right hand.
13:12Chop.
13:14Palm to your ear.
13:15Comes in and turns at the last second for a damaging blow.
13:19Head to the neck.
13:21Grabbing the neck.
13:22Knee.
13:23To the chest.
13:25For a damaging blow, from here, you could bring your hand down and put him in a choke hold.
13:32Straight up.
13:36One more time in slow motion.
13:38This time, grabbing the same pressure point, stepping left foot out.
13:42Up.
13:43Chop to the neck.
13:46Right knee.
13:48Come in.
13:49Choke hold.
13:49Or you could throw him straight over the head.
13:54This time, I do it at full speed.
14:18What you saw right now was the same number seven, but I finished it a little different way.
14:23Instead of breaking his neck, maybe putting him in a choke hold, I threw him straight over
14:27my head.
14:27This time, I try to do it without the flip.
14:30Full speed.
14:38Number eight lapel.
14:39This is a little more complicated than all the other ones.
14:43This time, right hand, grab palm to palm.
14:47Grabbing the hand.
14:49The left hand comes under with the left index finger open.
14:54What you're going to be doing with this little bone, which is your rich hand bone, you're going
14:58to be pressing underneath the wrist when there's a little gap in between the two bones.
15:03From here, you're going to step right foot out, kind of scooping it downwards.
15:08Down.
15:08Then when you push this up, you got to twist that little bone up so your opponent goes up
15:13on his toes, causing him not to punch you.
15:17From here, taking another step, ducking, and twisting the wrist all the way.
15:25For the finish, you could put your right foot forward, right to his armpit, stepping left foot
15:31back so you're standing in a straight line with his shoulder line.
15:34If you notice right now, his elbow is right against my right knee.
15:38From here, twist both hands and press on that elbow until your arches his back.
15:44From here, you could do a damaging blow by hitting him to the temple.
15:48One more time.
15:49Try to get your partner and do it just like the way I'm doing it.
15:51So the right hand grabs, the left hand, left index finger straight open.
15:56Stepping right foot out, pushing upwards.
16:00Stepping left, duck.
16:01Make sure your both thumbs are right on top of his hand.
16:06Grabbing both hands.
16:07Twist.
16:08Bring it inside your leg.
16:10Right foot to the armpit.
16:11Left foot back.
16:13Straight line, shoulder line.
16:14Pressing against the elbow.
16:20Now, remember something.
16:22In order to get out of any holes like these, you must be able to do a jump roll.
16:27So if you're doing this hold right, there's no way your opponent could just fall out of it.
16:33That's something that you're going to see in the next move when I'll do it a little bit faster.
16:37Street speed.
16:42forward.
16:44No, no, no, no, no.
17:05Ha!
17:06Number nine lapel.
17:08It's time when an opponent grabs you to give him a little bit of shock to try to get his
17:13attention with both thumbs.
17:16Strike straight to the throat while you step left foot out.
17:20From here, step forward, doing the low fore kick or a shin kick to the shin bone, breaking
17:27the leg, putting your right foot inside his legs and sweeping the other one.
17:31Notice, if this one is broken, all his body weight is going to be dropping in the left
17:35leg.
17:36What you're going to be doing, you're going to be pulling it in and pushing at the same
17:39time.
17:40From here, punch straight through growing.
17:46One more time, let's look at the same thing from a different angle.
17:50Stepping left foot forward, striking to the throat.
17:54Shin kick, break the leg.
17:56Put the foot in and hook the other one.
17:58Step, punch through growing.
18:03Same thing.
18:05Full speed.
18:25Next one that we're going to teach you right now is number ten, which is a judo throw.
18:30Now, pay attention so far, everything I've taught you so far could be done from anywhere from
18:36the body.
18:37They don't necessarily have to be done from a lapel.
18:39Any of these holes could be done from here or from here as long as they're single grabs.
18:44This one, when the opponent grabs you, what you're going to be doing is that your left hand is going
18:52to grab straight under, your right hand is grabbing the shoulder.
18:56Stepping right foot out towards his right leg.
18:59Stepping left foot back, turning around so your back is sticking to his forward, right
19:05in front of his body.
19:06From here, what you're going to be doing, on a horse stance, when you feel his body weight
19:13on your back, at the same time, you're going to throw the hips up and lock the legs and
19:18look down.
19:19Pretending like you're cutting something with a samurai sword, throwing him straight over
19:23the head.
19:23I'll be doing it one time slow.
19:26So from here, grabbing right, left, when he's on your back, picking him up, locking the
19:34legs, looking down, straight over.
19:38Could be finished with a reverse punch to the cheekbone.
19:43One more time, let's look at another angle.
19:45Left hand grab under, right hand grab the shoulder.
19:50Stepping right, left foot back to a wide horse stance.
19:54From here, throwing straight over the head, locking the legs, hips up, look straight down.
20:01Finish.
20:03This time at full speed.
20:05Remember something, throwing someone has nothing to do with how much your opponent weights.
20:10It's all in the law of leverage.
20:12So the lower you are, the easier it is for your opponent to go over.
20:16So from here, full speed.
20:36Number eleven is very similar to number one.
20:40The only difference is that you're going to add a front leg side kick to it.
20:44This time, starting just like number one.
20:47Notice how far away I am from him.
20:50From here, if I want to close the gap, and by hurting him first, pick out the right leg,
20:55side kick.
20:56Step forward, same as number one.
21:01One more time.
21:04Twist.
21:06Left leg up.
21:08Side kick.
21:10Step forward.
21:12Take down.
21:14This time, full speed.
21:24For the finish of this one, we can add a little pizzazz to it and make it a little more
21:28practical.
21:29Now watch the way I am going to finish this one in slow motion.
21:32After you've gotten him here, you won't want to take him all the way down.
21:36So what you want to do, you want to lift the left leg straight up, and land straight down
21:41on your hips.
21:42From here, one, land.
21:46Straight.
21:46Put the left leg again.
22:06Number 12, the pull.
22:09This time when your opponent grabs you, he has all this force and momentum coming towards
22:14you to grab you.
22:16So what we're going to do, we're going to take advantage of this force coming towards
22:19you and redirect it and make him go straight where he's going to.
22:23So when he grabs you, both hands grab over, left fore kick or a shin kick above the knee
22:31to pull forward towards you.
22:35Drop straight down with your right leg on the chest, throwing straight over the head.
22:46One more time, slow motion.
22:48So grabbing both hands over, shin kick, pulling forward to create some kind of momentum, dropping
22:55straight down, right leg on the chest, throwing straight over the head.
23:17And then, you're going to get it.
23:28Number 13 lapel.
23:30This one starts just like number seven.
23:32Remember, grabbing with two fingers, under that little nerve, pressing it out, stepping
23:38right foot forward this time, going around the neck, stepping left foot back.
23:45Let go of the left hand and grab your wrist, bringing it down all the way to your belt.
23:50The right leg is going to come up and drop straight down, one and straight, and you're
23:58welcome clockwise to break the neck.
24:02One more time.
24:03Number 13, grabbing the nerves, stepping right foot forward.
24:07The right hand goes around the neck, stepping left foot back at the same time, grabbing the
24:12wrist, pulling it in, bringing it down to your belt.
24:15The right leg up, fall sideways, turn.
24:18This time, I'll be doing number 13, full speed.
24:42Defense against double lapel grabs.
24:45Left hand under, while you execute a right spear hand.
24:49Both hands will grab your wrist, you break the arm with your elbow.
24:54One more time, the faster this time, spear hand, break, and knee.
25:02Look at it this time in slow motion.
25:04Left hand under, spear, left foot inside your opponent's legs.
25:12Remember, everything starts very slow and speeds up at the point of impact.
25:18And number two, you place your left hand on the back of your opponent's hand, while your right
25:24hand becomes right on top of his hand.
25:27Step forward and twist it all the way down while sticking it to your chest.
25:35Step forward and back, push your knee against his elbow.
25:48And the next one, while executing two palm strikes to your opponent's elbows, we're going to grab
25:57both hands, step right, left foot back, and throw straight over the head.
26:03So look at it again in slow motion.
26:07And straight over the head.
26:13And the next technique, with both thumbs, we grab the top of your opponent's elbow,
26:19inside the muscles, and pull them upwards.
26:22While you execute an inward hook kick with your heel, to your opponent's thigh, to create a very devastating charley
26:30horse.
26:41And the next technique, left hand will grab under while you step forward and get rid of one of your
26:47opponent's hands.
26:52And throw straight over the head.
26:57Let's move a little bit slower now.
27:00Duck under, bend your legs, and over the head.
27:06Press against his elbow, and break it.
27:20The next one, we take advantage of his force coming towards me.
27:27Let's watch a little bit faster this time.
27:30When he reaches for you, you're going to hold onto him, and throw him straight over your head.
27:39Almost like doing a front kick to his chest.
27:42Picking him off the ground, and throwing him.
27:47Remember, having good control is very important in practicing these techniques.
27:58And the next one, we step left foot out, while striking to your opponent's throat, with both thumbs.
28:05We execute the right shin kick.
28:07We break the leg, and hook the other leg inwards.
28:12Because when we shin kick one leg, all his body weight will drop on his other leg, and we're going
28:18to sweep that right underneath him.
28:22Pay attention to the strike.
28:25Right to the throat.
28:27Shin kick, and hook inwards.
28:33And the next one, stepping right foot out, while both hands grabs under.
28:39And you're applying pressure with the left index finger upwards.
28:43We're going to duck under, step left, and throw straight down.
28:48Let's look at it slow this time.
28:49Stepping right foot out, pull up, duck, and break the wrist.
29:11Now we're going to hapkido techniques against wrist holds, inside wrist and outside wrist.
29:21Following the lapel techniques, now we're getting into inside wrist grabs.
29:25These are a little more practical grabs, especially for ladies, because you might be grabbed like this, and be pulled
29:30or pushed.
29:32One thing I want you to do right now, while you're watching this tape, is grab your wrist.
29:37Now, I want you to make a fist, and keep your fingers open.
29:41Make a fist, and keep it open.
29:43You will notice, every time you open your fingers, your wrist will expand.
29:47Okay?
29:48So that's one thing you want to do, when somebody grabs your wrist.
29:51The first thing you want to do, you don't want to be like this.
29:52You want to keep your fingers wide open, to get that little bit more in your wrist, to make it
29:57a little bit bigger.
29:59Number one, this time, stepping straight forward.
30:04Left hand, grab on top of the hand.
30:06Steping right foot forward, turning the hand.
30:10Remembering, the thumb is the weakest part of the hand, especially from this opening.
30:15So what you want to do, you want to take the hand straight out, pretend like you're doing your rich
30:19hand to your own left shoulder.
30:21Taking the hand straight out, palm facing you.
30:25Chop, to the neck.
30:27Grabbing the neck, and twisting the wrist, stepping left foot out.
30:31From here, bring your right hand up, and right elbow strike to the elbow, for a damaging blow.
30:40One more time, this time we do it slower.
30:43Same thing, grabbing, turning the hand, stepping right foot forward, taking the hand out.
30:50Chop to the neck, twisting the hand, stepping left foot out.
30:55Elbow strike, to the elbow.
30:59This time, full speed.
31:17Number two, inside wrist.
31:19This time, grabbing the same hand, just like number one.
31:22Again, stepping right foot forward, with the palm up.
31:26From here, what you're going to be doing, you're going to be twisting the hand straight out.
31:30From here, twist, and straight out.
31:34From here, make a fist, twist at the last second, elbow strike to the ribs.
31:40It could be finished, just like number four, lapel.
31:44With the break, and the straight down.
31:48One more time.
31:50From here, stepping right foot forward, taking the hand out.
31:55Elbow strike, and finish, like four lapel.
32:00Now, realistically, just like how it would happen to you outside in the street.
32:26Number three, inside wrist.
32:28This one works the best if your opponent pulls you towards that direction.
32:33Now, see how it's done.
32:35Try to do this just with me, with my steps.
32:37Grabbing the right hand, stepping right foot out, and the left hand comes in and grabs the elbow.
32:45Now, what we want to do from here, is that from here, remember the same nerves?
32:49First, we want to pull him in this time.
32:52At the same time with the thumb, causing your opponent's elbow to bend.
32:57From here, duck, stepping left foot to a horse stance.
33:00Ducking, make sure your left hand is right above the elbow, pulling it straight down.
33:07From here, apply pressure on the left hand, causing pain on the wrist, spear to the throat.
33:16Number three, inside wrist.
33:17This time when your opponent pulls you to that direction, you grab the wrist, grabbing the
33:22elbow, pressing on the nerves, stepping right foot out and bending the elbow.
33:26Duck, turn, pressing against the elbow, bringing him inside the leg.
33:32Applying pressure with your left hand, and spear to the throat.
33:38This time, the realistic approach of it, just like how it would happen to you outside.
33:45When the person grabs you, if he's pulling you to that direction, instead of fighting him,
33:49use that non-resistance principle, going with him, right, left, straight down.
34:19Number four, inside wrist.
34:23This time, with the heel of the hand, putting it on top of the knuckles, so he won't take
34:28his hand out.
34:30Stepping left foot out, bringing the hand, twisting it up, and grabbing the wrist.
34:37Stepping to a cat stance, to protect your growing.
34:40From here, squeezing the hand straight down.
34:45Now, from here, a damaging blow could be done by yanking him straight towards you, and maybe
34:52an axe kick to the back.
34:55One more time, number four.
34:57Pay attention to the steps and the grabs, very carefully.
35:01The hand over, stepping left foot out.
35:04The right hand comes up, and he turns and grabs.
35:09Step into a cat stance, to protect your growing.
35:12Squeezing, straight down.
35:14One very important point is to make sure this elbow is parallel to the ground.
35:18Make sure this elbow doesn't fall down.
35:42Number five, inside wrist.
35:43It's very similar to number five, lapel, the arm bar techniques, if you remember.
35:47This time, we're going to start like four, inside wrist.
35:51Putting the hand on top, turning it, but this time stepping left foot forward, closing the
35:56gap between you and your opponent.
35:58Grabbing, bringing it down to your belt, slide the left hand straight up, and same thing,
36:04wheel it.
36:05Straight down.
36:08One more time.
36:10From here, just like four, grabbing over, turn, step forward.
36:16Hand up, straight down.
36:36Number six, inside wrist.
36:38This one is very similar to number three, but remember number three, how we bend the elbow?
36:43Well, sometimes your opponent might not want to bend the elbow, he might resist it.
36:46So in this case, we keep that elbow straight, just the way he wants it to be.
36:50So in this one, step grab, step right foot out, and slap the elbow straight up.
36:57Okay?
36:58Take another step, sliding the hand down, lifting the arm, and breaking it straight over your shoulder.
37:05Duck, and throw straight over your head.
37:09Finishing like eight lapel.
37:11Forward, back, and push.
37:15Number six, one more time.
37:16Grabbing the wrist, twisting, stepping right foot out, slapping the elbow.
37:22Stepping left, sliding the hand down, breaking it.
37:26Over your shoulder, duck, pushing it.
37:29Left foot back, and finish.
37:54Number seven, inside wrist.
37:57Grabbing the hand, and twisting it.
38:00Stepping right foot towards his right foot.
38:02Good.
38:03Stepping left, right behind him.
38:06The left hand goes over, and under, and grabbing your own bicep.
38:12From here, you're going to be twisting your wrist, and pressing it straight up.
38:17For a damaging blow on the finish, let go of the left hand, kicking the right leg with
38:22your left foot, take down.
38:26Next, I'll be demonstrating the technique at the speed that I would do if I had to react
38:31to the same grab.
38:54Number eight in side wrist is one of my favorites.
38:57It's one of the most simplest ones to do.
38:58In this point, you're going to be turning your own hand, palm straight up.
39:02Grabbing it under, and twisting the hand.
39:05Stepping forward, and hitting the right elbow with your left shoulder.
39:10Straight, to break the elbow.
39:13One more time.
39:15The person grabs.
39:17Turn it up.
39:17Grab under.
39:18Turn the hand.
39:19Step forward.
39:20Pull the wrist in.
39:22Break.
39:38Now, we get to number nine in side wrist.
39:40This one is also one of the major holes.
39:42What I mean by major holes is that it could work, again, from anywhere in the body.
39:48This one, when the person grabs you, with your left thumb, reach over between the second
39:53and the third knuckle.
39:55Pulling your hand out a little bit, and pushing all your fingers in.
40:00Stepping right foot forward to a cat stance, turning the hand.
40:04Remember the thumb was the weakest part of the hand.
40:06We discussed that in number one.
40:07We're pulling it straight out, sliding it down.
40:11Remember, whenever you throw someone, you always end up where they are.
40:15This is the law of Judo.
40:16From here, turning it, left foot straight back where he is, and twisting it straight down.
40:22This one also could be finished, like number eight lapel.
40:25Or, when the person is down, you can let go with the right hand.
40:30Pulling it straight over, and breaking the elbow.
40:35Grab, reach over.
40:36One step.
41:01What I'm going to teach you right now is number ten insiders.
41:05On this one, when the opponent grabs you, step right foot forward to a cat stance to protect
41:10your groin.
41:10One of the other reasons why you stand on a cat stance is that the whole purpose of a
41:14cat stance is not to put a whole lot of weight on the front leg.
41:17So it could be picked up, kick the opponent a lot faster than if it was if you have all
41:22your body weight behind it.
41:23So you want a cat stance, palm up.
41:27Grab under, take the hand out.
41:30When you take it out, turn it palm to palm.
41:34Grab the hand, bring it inside his body, and twist it upwards.
41:39For the finish, bring it back, and push straight down, step back.
41:49Number ten, one more time.
41:50Same thing, cat stance, palm up.
41:53Grabbing under, taking the hand out, palm to palm.
41:57Bring it inside, and twist it up, and straight down.
42:26Number eleven side rest works really well if the person pulls you down towards his leg.
42:32And this one, you're going to step right foot forward, drop on your left knee.
42:36With the right elbow pushing inside the thigh.
42:39Grabbing the ankle, making sure that the angle that you're pressing on is about 45 degree.
42:45Pulling the ankle in, and push.
42:49And strike your groin.
42:51Number eleven, one more time.
42:53Like I said, works really well if the person pulls you forward.
42:56You step with him with his own force.
42:58Grab your ankle, 45 degree, strike.
43:02Finish.
43:08Number twelve, inside rest.
43:10This one works also really good if the person pulls you in this direction, to your left side.
43:15What you're going to do, when the person pulls you, you grab, and you step right foot, turning your back
43:21to him.
43:21From here, grab where he's comfortable, with your thumbs on top of his hands and your fingers pointing towards him.
43:28Grabbing, cross-stepping like you want to turn around, apply pressure, and synchronize your timing between twisting your hips and
43:35pressing on his joints.
43:38Go with the same momentum.
43:40Turn around, finish.
43:42Same thing, and this one works really well if the guy pulls you.
43:45When he's pulling you, you go with him.
43:47Grab, stick it to your back, and turn.
43:49Turn.
44:01Number thirteen, inside rest.
44:03This time, grabbing the hand, pretty similar to number seven.
44:06Twisting.
44:07This time, stepping left foot out, pivoted, with your heel facing out.
44:12Grabbing the elbow, keeping it straight.
44:14The right foot travels all the way, goes behind him.
44:18Duck.
44:19Twist.
44:21Step forward.
44:23Now, from here, I'll be demonstrating another kind of finish.
44:27From here, what you're going to do, you're going to bring the hand back, turn the hand, twist with the
44:32joint against the knee.
44:34Turn all the way.
44:36Right leg down.
44:38Left hand press.
44:41Now, try to get your friend to grab your wrist just like this, and follow him step by step.
44:46Grabbing the hand, turning it.
44:48Left hand under the elbow, left foot pivoted.
44:51Right leg all the way behind.
44:53Duck.
44:55Twist.
44:55All the way down.
44:57Right foot forward.
44:58Remember the straight shoulder line.
45:00Push it against.
45:02Bring it up.
45:03Turn.
45:04Grab.
45:05Joint against the knee.
45:07And sit.
45:17Number fourteen.
45:19Inside wrist.
45:20This time, when you grab the hand, you're going to step right foot.
45:23The left foot travels all the way behind.
45:26Slide down.
45:27Bring the hand way over.
45:29And pull the elbow all the way up against your shoulder.
45:34The right hand hooks underneath the leg.
45:37Break the elbow.
45:38That also could be finished with a throw.
46:02The following holes that I'm going to be teaching you right now are outside wrist holes.
46:06Number one.
46:08Remember the same thing.
46:10Fingers wide open.
46:12On this one, you're going to be stepping right foot forward with your left hand palm down.
46:18Going over the hand.
46:20Twisting the hand straight out while the left hand reaches for the wrist and grabs it.
46:25Bring it back.
46:26Elbow strike.
46:27And backhand.
46:29The bridge of the nose.
46:30Stepping forward.
46:31Grab under and over.
46:33Taking the hand out.
46:35Elbow strike.
46:36Backhand.
46:37To the bridge of the nose.
46:38As far as the take down is concerned, your right hand could be going under.
46:42Over.
46:44From here.
46:45And bringing it straight down.
46:48From here.
46:49Grab the hair.
46:51Pull up.
46:52And push the elbow straight to his back.
46:54Up.
46:56Up.
46:57Up.
46:58Up.
47:00Up.
47:01Up.
47:03Number two.
47:04Is one of my own favorites.
47:06These are techniques that we call walking holes.
47:08Like you don't want to hurt the guy.
47:10But you want to get out of somewhere.
47:11Like if you're in a party or something.
47:13You want to walk him out very politely.
47:14And this one.
47:15The thumb goes out.
47:17Stepping right foot out.
47:19Twist.
47:20This hand.
47:20Pushes the elbow in.
47:23Stepping left foot back to a back stance.
47:25Let go of the hand.
47:27Both thumbs under.
47:28Push.
47:29Walk out.
47:41Now.
47:42Number three, outside wrist.
47:43Is very similar to number three, lapel.
47:45If you remember it.
47:47This one.
47:48When the person grabs you.
47:49Hook the wrist.
47:50Between your index finger.
47:51And your thumb.
47:53Step into a cat stance.
47:54At the same time.
47:55Bring it up to your chest.
47:57chest, both thumbs under, make sure it's tight to your chest, lean a little bit forward,
48:03going against the joint. One more time, hook, cat stance, both hands over and lean forward.
48:14For a finish, you could be dragging him a little bit more, twist and press. Number four,
48:24outside wrist. On this one, step into a cat stance, right palm up. At the same time,
48:31giving it to your left hand. Take the hand out, put it underneath the elbow while the
48:36left hand is being thrown up on top of your shoulder. Twist, grab your wrist, step left
48:42foot back, drag him all the way down to your knee. In this one, palm up, cat stance to your
49:03chest. Left thumb under, fingers go right inside the muscles and pull them back. Then apply
49:09a lot of pressure while you're leaning forward. For a damaging blow, straight punch.
49:22Number six. On this one, very similar to number four and five. Cat stance, palm up. The only
49:27difference is this time, with the rotation of the wrist, you break the thumb. Break it, step
49:33right and left. Straight line with his stance. Put the thumb under, grab that broken thumb.
49:40Totally in control.
49:54Number seven, outside wrist, has a nickname. We call it pancake. And this one, cat stance,
50:00palm up facing you. Left hand under, grab, take it out, put your hand over, step right foot
50:08back. Straight down. One more time. Number seven. Cat stance, palm up, grab under, make sure the thumb
50:20is between the second and the third knuckle. Reaching over, taking the hand out from the opening
50:25of the thumb, straight back. Damaging blow could be anything from a kick or pulling and squeeze
50:36straight down. Number eight outside wrist is another version of number eight inside wrist. On this one,
50:45thumb out, twist. Give it to the other hand, step right foot forward, the shoulder breaks the elbow.
50:53One more time. It flows really nice. From here, twist, step forward, break.
51:08Number nine. This one, has another nickname. We call it screwdriver. Starts the same way as the pancake
51:15one. Number seven. Cat stance, palm up, grab under, take it out, grab over this time, bring in the
51:22and then twisting the elbow, stepping forward, driving his old elbow to his body. One more time.
51:31From here, cat stance, palm up, grabbing under, over, twist and step in all the way.
51:48Number ten. In this one, stepping right foot out, pulling the elbow in with the left hand. Twisting the
51:56hand out, pulling it in and going behind him. Grabbing the hair and pull back. Put it in the lock.
52:04From here, exchange hands up. Elbow, drive it straight to the back.
52:18One more time. Stepping right foot out, pulling the elbow in. Turn, elbow bent, go behind, pull the head back.
52:27Put it in the other side.
52:29This could be all side throw.
52:30Tic. Tic. Tic. Tic. Tic. Tic. Tic. Tic.
52:49Tic. Tic. Tic. Tic. Tic. Tic. Tic. Tic. Tic. Tic.
52:56eleven, outside wrist. This one, hook the wrist between the index finger and the thumb
53:01again, bringing it up, put it into your hand. As soon as it reaches the hand, right leg
53:06up, take it, step forward, onto your belt. What you're going to be doing, you're going
53:12to be pulling the left hand up and locking your right arm and breaking the wrist. One
53:23more time, hook into the hand, side kick, step forward, break.
53:48Number twelve, outside wrist. Starts just like number eleven, but instead of going this way
53:54to your hand, you're going to turn your palm facing your opponent. Turn, same side kick, step
54:00forward, to number one lapel. Again, turn, put it into your hand, side kick, wait.
54:39Number thirteen. This one?
54:42twist, grab, step right foot out. Left hand, chamber up, left chop to the neck. Grab, left knee.
55:14Number 14, outside wrist. This one, hook same way as 11, putting it right into your hand. Stepping right foot
55:22out, left foot out, straight along with his line, sliding the hand up. Number 5, armbar, straight down.
55:36One more time. Hook into the hand, step right, left, straight down. Also could be finished with a jump scissor
55:47kick with the right leg to the chest and the left leg behind the knees.
56:07One more time.
56:31One more time.
56:59One more time.
57:01One more time.
57:18One more time.
57:21One more time.
57:25One more time.
57:27One more time.
57:37One more time.
57:40One more time.
57:42One more time.
57:45One more time.
57:47One more time.
57:49One more time.
57:50One more time.
