00:13Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim has criticized certain parties
00:17for repeatedly bringing up his past pledge to reduce fuel prices.
00:22He said these parties were deliberately ignoring facts
00:25about rising global fuel prices due to the Middle East war,
00:29stressing that such actions mislead the public
00:32and undermine trust in the government.
00:35Speaking to students and staff of the Malay College Kuala Kangsar,
00:40Anwar said his previous comments on reducing fuel prices
00:43were made during a period when global oil prices were much lower.
01:05Anwar said the government continued to maintain targeted assistance for the public
01:10to help ease the cost of living and urge students to counter the spread of inaccurate information on social media.
