00:00I felt Clint Kubiak, whoever hired him, it was going to be a Ben Johnson kind of hire.
00:04I'm curious to get your take on the hire and what it means instantly in terms of success,
00:10but also in terms of structure here for the Raiders organization, because I thought it was perfect.
00:15I've known Clint for a while, but I really knew Gary Adam initially.
00:20I mean, obviously he was a great player and had a great career with the Broncos
00:23and then became an assistant coach, eventually a head coach, a Super Bowl winning head coach, mind you.
00:27And so I've always had great respect for Gary, and I think Clint comes from those same bloodlines
00:32in terms of dedication, passion, attention to detail, great communicator.
00:37I think he sees the game through the eyes of the quarterback.
00:40So I'm excited for him. I've got a chance to spend some time with him.
00:43I was there when he got introduced as the coach of the Raiders.
00:47You talk about the qualities and intangibles it takes at that position, I think he has a lot of them.
00:51I think most importantly, he has built a coaching staff that has some familiarity with him.
00:56He brought in Rick Dennison. He brought in some people that he spent time with back in Denver
01:01as a young coach and in other places in Seattle.
01:03This is a coaching staff that's going to grind, and that to me has to happen.
01:07This guy is the real deal. I mean, he's got a little John Gruden when you talk about coming early
01:11and staying late. I'm excited for Clint Kubiak and his coaching staff.
