00:07Hi guys, welcome to Ashford Stud on this beautiful morning. We've gotten a lot of
00:13sunshine lately rather than the cold winter that we had, so this is our time to showcase our new
00:20sire that has some babies on the ground. This year and now it's domestic product. If you
00:28remember last year we were showcasing Gunite and he's got good looking foals that we showed you last
00:33year, sold extremely well at the sales and this guy is starting to get, we're beginning to see
00:39some very nice foals around town and as you can see this guy has beautiful conformation,
00:46he's a beautiful shoulder, just oozes with quality and great balance on him. He was a great racehorse,
00:52he won the Alan Jerkins, he won his Maiden by Four Lents. He was always very highly spoken of
00:58about Chad Brown, he always liked him. He's a homebred of Claravage who have a beautiful broodmare
01:04band and we're very excited about the foals this year. Eric Johnson had a beautiful foal there a
01:10couple of weeks ago that they're very happy about. He's very much stamping his foals, they're very
01:16strong, very very good balance, great shoulder, great quality, beautiful heads on them. Last year
01:24we bred seven mares to domestic product and he was such an outstanding physical he matched with a lot
01:29of our mares. The first we looked at today was a sweet lollipop foal, it's a candy ride mare that
01:35we
01:35purchased a few years ago that comes from a really good family and it's a scorpion of a foal, looks
01:41a lot
01:41like he's daddy. The second one is out of a mare, actually a mare we bred, Velashita, we bought back
01:48from David and Gordo after a race career. She's a really well balanced, well put together filly, kind
01:53of prototypical of what the stallion seems to be throwing so far. Very happy with her. It's not hard
02:00to breed to stallions that were picked out by Mike Ryan and Chad Brown that went to Saratoga and won
02:06a
02:06grade one against the best horses in the country. When we went out to see him at Coolmore he was
02:12just a scorpion of a physical, he can't fault it. Big, strong, fast looking horse and will be very
02:19commercial. He's the son of Practical Joke who we stand here, he stands now for 75,000, he's a great
02:26American sire, a great dirt sire and we're expecting this fella to follow in his footsteps. Now is a good
02:33time to breed to him because you're going to be able to get to him at a price I'd say
02:36that
02:36he won't be again when he starts having runners and so if you want a good deal now is your
02:43time.
02:44So you heard it here first guys.
