00:00Execs at one of Amazon's biggest third-party sellers were allegedly on the hunt for a contract
00:04killer. A Chinese DIY manufacturer called Vivor was in a dispute with U.S. warehouse operator
00:10eGreen Transport over millions of dollars in storage fees. And this was not your run-of-the-mill
00:15business dispute. The bosses at Vivor tried to handle things by putting out a hit on the head
00:21of eGreen. It all started last spring when the warehouse locked up $55 million worth of tools
00:27and the like in California, Georgia, and New Jersey. By summer, eGreen was accusing the Chinese
00:32manufacturer of vandalizing its offices and one of the executives' Teslas and allegedly hiring goons
00:37to impersonate cops to threaten eGreen's owner. It all came to a head last summer. First, Vivor sent
00:43someone to eGreen HQ to try to bribe employees with, quote, enough money for a down payment on a
00:49home in order to get info. And days later, ads began popping up on social media about, quote,
00:54contract-killing threats against eGreen's owner and his family. And for their part,
00:59Amazon seems to be shrugging it off, with one of the company's lawyers telling eGreen
01:03they are, quote, unable to take action at this time.
