00:24chambers had previously rejected representations made by the accused Li Luarong, 28, and Chen Junhao,
00:3121, pertaining to the charges against them. The Court has fixed April 27-30 and June 4-6 for trial
00:40proceedings. Under the first charge, both men are accused of having acted jointly with the intention
00:46of obtaining official information prejudicial to national security by capturing aerial images
00:53using a DJI Mavic 3 Enterprise drone within a gazetted prohibited area without authorization.
01:00The offence was allegedly committed at Football Field B at the Ministry of Defence Jalan Padang
01:06Tembak on August 6, 2025. They were charged under Section 3, Subsection A of the Official Secrets
01:14Act 1972, which provides for life imprisonment upon conviction. They also face a second charge
01:22of taking aerial photographs using the same drone for the purpose of conducting surveying
01:28or mapping work without the approval of the relevant authority at the same location, date and time.
