00:00I'll say a statement, you let me know if it's real or fake, and let's get after it.
00:08Tyler, I want to kick it off with your ass, because you just came out of nowhere with
00:11your contribution of, what did he say about Tiger?
00:15I said, we used to be wondering if old Eldrick Tiger Woods would chase down the leader on
00:20the golf course going into a Sunday.
00:21Now we're wondering if he's going to run down one of us out on the roads.
00:25Yeah, I just wanted to hear you say it one more time.
00:30Tyler, all right, Tyler, let's kick this thing off here.
00:34Real or fake, the Houston Texans will actually use their pick at number 28, real or fake?
00:42You never know with Nick Casario, but I'm going to go real here.
00:45I think I'd like to think that if there was going to be something done in the means of
00:51not using that pick, then maybe Nick would have already been active and shuffling some
00:55stuff around, making some deals, but still very possible, but I'll go real there.
00:59All right, there it is.
01:00Real, huh?
01:01Real on that.
01:01You think he's going to stay at 28?
01:04Real or fake for you, Clint, that the Houston Texans are actually going to use their pick
01:10at 28?
01:11I think it's fake.
01:12I think they're going to use the pick, all right, but they're going to package it with
01:16another pick, and I think they're going to move up and get a game changer.
01:18Oh, you got them going up.
01:20I got them going up.
01:21But I just don't know how anybody looks at this team, particularly on the offensive side
01:26of the football, and says, yeah, we need more depth.
01:31Yeah, we need more draft picks.
01:34I just don't see how you look at it that way.
01:37I don't even need to add the caveat of offense.
01:41I mean, look, if you want to move up, package it up, move up, and take the best defensive
01:44lineman that fits this system, that way you can pay Will Anderson, and you got the one-two
01:48punch from the inside out, whether you keep Daniil Hunter around longer term than you already
01:52have him booked or not.
01:54If you want to do that, I'm fine with that.
01:55So I don't even need to put the caveat of offense on it.
01:57Any way you slice it, I think the Texans, I think they get aggressive.
02:01I think they're in a position where it's either kick the door down on the AFC championship
02:06or people are going to be disappointed, and I think they make a climb.
02:11Not quite what they did to get CJ and Will, but I do think they make a move up the
02:15board.
02:15I am torn on this because I don't think they're going to move up because it's hard for me
02:29to think.
02:29I know you have a player in mind, at least.
02:33I think Sadiq is probably the player in mind.
02:36I think you have a player in mind.
02:38By the way, I saw him going in the latest mock from Matt Miller.
02:42He's climbing, ain't he?
02:4213 to the Rams.
02:43Yeah.
02:44I saw him, 13 to the Rams and another 14 to the Ravens.
02:48That may be a little rich.
02:49I think he's going to have to fall below 20 for the Texans to be able to move and get
02:51him, but that's the kind of athlete I'm talking about.
02:55I think there are so many, maybe good is not the word, but at least like-ranged type players
03:04that are similar grades from like 25 to like 40, and they have two picks in that, I could
03:14see them dropping back and adding another pick in the third round, add more picks.
03:18So I'm going to say fake, although I could see where Tyler is coming at with there are
03:23so many players right there.
03:24Just stay right there and get the group of four or five you have.
03:28But I think they have a pretty, they have a close grade on a lot of them and I could
03:32see them dropping back very similar to what they did last year and get multiple picks in
03:36that second round to piss off the draft party.
03:43But I could, I could completely, I could completely see that happening right there.
03:48Just cause I think where they are at 28, I think they probably have a lot of players that
03:54fit in that range to 38 where there are other picks.
03:58So I think they're, I think they, I think they, they moved back in the draft.
04:02So they'll use the package, but not themselves.
04:04All right.
04:05Real or fake Clint.
04:06This coming from the Cleveland Browns owner, Jimmy has, he told a group of media, local
04:12media reporters at the NFL league meetings that Deshaun Watson has a quote, great chance
04:18and a quote, fresh start, um, with first year coach Todd Munkin.
04:24He could start in this thing, uh, according to the owner, Jimmy has real or fake.
04:30Do you believe Deshaun Watson has a great chance to become the starter for the Cleveland Browns?
04:35Yeah, I do.
04:36I think, I think he's got a great chance to be, to become the starter.
04:39I look, I don't think that, uh, one, I think we're another year removed from the embarrassment
04:44that, that, that was, um, you know, I would like to think that Deshaun has, has repaired
04:50himself to some degree.
04:51Um, but even if that's not the case, you're a year removed, there's players that are removed.
04:56I, I, I, I don't think I do like Shadour.
05:00Um, I, I don't think that you have this dominant alpha.
05:03That's just going to go in and take over a locker room type deal.
05:05So he's, I don't think he's competing with that presence in the, in the locker room there.
05:10Um, I'll give you an example.
05:12I think, I think a Cam Ward type guy would really be difficult for, for Deshaun Watson
05:16to overcome in a locker room.
05:17Um, but I think there's a real opportunity there now.
05:20Can he play?
05:21Can he still play?
05:21I think that's the question.
05:23Um, I don't know if he's talented enough to, to do it, but I think he's, I think he's
05:29got a real shot here.
05:31Yeah.
05:31Cause it's what it's Shadour, Gabriel, him.
05:36We'll see what they do in the draft.
05:38If they, if they bring somebody else to come in there, but yeah, I, I, I'll, I'll say,
05:43I'll say real too, which is I I'll say real because I think it's a legit quarterback competition.
05:52Like I'd like, I don't know that I believe Shadour has the upper hand just cause he finished
05:58the end of the season that I, I, I, I think, I think Dylan Gabriel is a real long shot.
06:04I don't know if it's, I don't know that he's going to, he's got a fair shot to win the
06:08thing
06:08as much as the other two.
06:11Um, my only, my wonder is, is does money, does the money in the contract still hold a
06:17lot of, is there still a bit of, all right, we have invested this much.
06:21Into, because if you look at it, the person they have invested the most in is what, without
06:26a shadow of a doubt, Deshaun financially.
06:29And I mean, Shadour is a late round pick.
06:31So is Dylan Gabriel.
06:32Well, even if you love Shadour and or Dylan Gabriel, the best case scenario for both of
06:39those guys, the first year in a system, um, is Deshaun Watson, the veteran longer in
06:45the tooth is the guy he plays.
06:48You sit behind him.
06:49If he bombs, you get some run.
06:51You'd like, it's not all on your shoulders immediately to resurrect that offense and
06:55be, be money out of the gate with, with, uh, with Todd Munkin.
06:59Um, and so to me, I think, I think the best thing for a young quarterback would be for him
07:04to sit behind somebody and be patient and learn the system.
07:08Um, I don't know if Deshaun Watson is that guy that they need to be sitting behind.
07:12We'll, we'll see if he's still got it in him.
07:13I know the ceiling.
07:15I don't, I think both of those guys, obviously, um, their ceiling where it is right now as
07:21a player pales in comparison to where Deshaun Watson was when he was at his best in Houston.
07:25So, um, if, if Deshaun can even come close to, to getting that kind of play, we know he's
07:30not going to be that kind of leader.
07:31I think that ship has sailed with people kind of figuring out who he is, but that kind of
07:35player where you can throw the ball like that, you can make plays like that.
07:39You can be a crunch time player.
07:40If that's still in there somewhere, I think he's the better quarterback.
07:44Yeah.
07:44Uh, all right.
07:46Uh, real or fake?
07:48Uh, someone said, hello, Watson better start because they let, uh, they let go of an offensive
07:53guru at head, at the head coach spot.
07:55Kevin Stefanski.
07:56Someone said, all right.
07:58Uh, Tyler real or fake?
08:01The Houston comments will be a popular draw in Houston this time.
08:06Real or fake?
08:07Oh, I think that's real.
08:08I think that's real given the already existing history that, uh, Cheryl swoops and others
08:13put together as the comments way back in the day.
08:16There's a lot of love in this city for that team.
08:18And, uh, maybe it gets rekindled now with the return of the WNBA to Houston.
08:22I go real.
08:23I'm proud of you, man.
08:24I know you don't watch women's basketball.
08:26Yeah.
08:26It won't be too real for me.
08:28I'm proud.
08:29I'm proud that you can step out there and you get, you get the history real or fake Clint
08:32the Houston comments.
08:34Cause they, they left it.
08:35They just didn't support them really.
08:37So the Houston comments is a, is a part of it.
08:39Houston comments will be a popular draw in Houston this time.
08:42Real or fake?
08:43Yeah.
08:43I think it's real.
08:44I look, I think the, the WNBA, the perception of the WNBA, um, I think it's changed maybe as
08:54much as any sport out there when it comes to attention.
08:58I mean, they just signed new deals with them.
09:00Players are fixing to be, you know, I mean, the, the, the floor for those players is going
09:04to be a big time contract and, uh, they're going to make some really good money, which
09:08obviously is going to drive a lot of interest.
09:10And, and, um, I think it's hot right now.
09:12I mean, I, I, it's hard for me to gauge it, Ron, because I, I've got two little girls.
09:16So I'm, I'm a lot more apt to sit and watch random women's college basketball or random,
09:23random women's in, you know, NBA, uh, WNBA games right now than I ever have.
09:28You legit think that's a family trip for you all?
09:30Oh, no, no question.
09:31No question.
09:33No question.
09:33I, I think, I think as a father and a parent, I think you got, you know, one of several,
09:38several duties is to expose them to all the different sports and all the different facets
09:42of, of, of life that, that are sports and I don't think there's any better way to do
09:47it than flip a game on on the couch or, or, or load them up and take them to a
09:51game and
09:51let them, let them see, um, you know, women, you know, that are 15 years older than them
09:58or, you know, 20 years older than them out there making a living, playing basketball and
10:02give them something to shoot for.
10:03Yeah.
10:04Absolutely.
10:05It's real.
10:05This is, I don't think Laney would last, but I think right now, but I think Liz got a shot
10:09maybe in a couple of years, she will.
10:10Uh, I think it's real.
10:11This is the best time to get in to the WNBA business and they've got, they've got a situation
10:17a little bit like the NBA where they've got some marquee players that get people to want
10:22to come out.
10:22And I, and I think, I mean, if they have a start the way they did the first time, you
10:26know, like four titles, like, I mean, that, that I don't think it would, uh, it will fall
10:32off the way that maybe it did from a fan support situation, the way it did last time.
10:36So I'm with you.
10:37I I'm excited to see what that looks like in this city.
10:41I don't Lauren was, uh, is, is amped about Courtney and Lauren are amped about it as
10:44well about a little WNBA coming.
10:47Well, I look, I would imagine Ron, you, you, you get a little girl that's, that's into athletics
10:52and, and into basketball itself.
10:54I mean, good gosh.
10:55Yeah.
