GNot your typical mortgage conversation, this special edition of Ten Minute Talks was filmed live from a dog park, surrounded by a few very enthusiastic puppy guests. Allison LaForgia and Zeb Lowe trade the studio for something a little more unpredictable as they break down what trends they’re watching right now. Between puppy interruptions, they dig into the shift from Ai hypr to real implementation, why trust still drives everything, and what’s coming next from HousingWire’s Content Studio.

00:15we're gonna try to talk about all things housing in the mortgage industry if we can
00:19we're gonna try and make our way through everything that the mortgage industry wants
00:22to know very quickly with our little guest stars so Zeb who are we talking to on Powerhouse what's
00:28coming up in our content next episode coming out we have we got Jeremy Davis followed by a really
00:34special episode with Austin Tunnel with Jeremy Davis we're gonna be talking about community
00:40engagement and leadership in the mortgage industry and how you can't the theme of the episode is how
00:47you can't scale trust but trust is the ultimate path to growth for homeownership and I believe
00:52following that we've got us Austin Tunnel who's a full-stut real estate developer who
00:57is building these infill walkable communities out in Oklahoma he designs builds and funds
01:08all of the all of the neighborhoods himself which makes him a really unique
01:13a unique figure in the real estate industry I believe so those are the latest two episodes
01:19that we've got coming out and you don't have to stay tuned for more we have a whole bunch of
01:24people
01:24coming up on 10-minute talks we have Sasha Stare and then
01:29and then soon we will be at the gathering and Zeb will be he's on stage he's got powerhouse episodes
01:39yeah I'll be uh this little dog friend might make a guest appearance yeah I'll be monitoring
01:45a discussion with um with Reno Dewater from uh Factual Data looking at how they're tackling uh how they're
01:53doing affordability through um through credit and clean data up front uh clean data gathering I guess
02:00is the best way to put it I'm sorry I'm a little distracted by my buddy here uh and we
02:05got how do
02:05you give a new guest we got quite a few instant impacts coming up I believe as well right yeah
02:11we
02:12have several that we're doing here we have a good amount of people that we're talking to at the gathering
02:18here at ICE we've talked to Joe Waylu we've talked to Bob Jennings lots of fun people lots of insights
02:26coming out make sure you stay tuned only on Housing Wire exclusive insights well before we go tell me
02:33what do you think of the biggest trends that you've seen so far not just here at ICE but all
02:36the
02:36conversations you've had and conversations that you expect to be having in the future what are the
02:41biggest trends in the industry you think so I think one of the most interesting things that we've been
02:45talking about is actual strategic AI implementation that's practical practical compliant and scalable
02:52and that's the technology that seems to really be moving the difference outside of lots of
02:56conversations where in 2025 we were having about the potential of AI in the industry and now we're
03:03seeing that going from an exploratory phase to an implementation phase this has been really exciting
03:09yeah I agree I think that you know now that AI is here there's still the kind of like the
03:16old
03:16problems that we've had which legacy problems where there's silo effects there's implementation
03:21in individual departments and then AI is actually meant to solve
03:24AI is meant to solve for that and not just implementation from the beginning of the house to the back
03:34into the house but also adoption from uh from different departments at all levels so adoption
03:42integration is an issue and I think also people are people have been talking about this for a long
03:47time how we need to go in the industry from at the customer facing level we need to get into
03:51this
03:52advisory role both as an agent or as an LO and there's always been the the crutch that technological
03:59problems or you know your tech stack or underwriting problems or whatever our pipeline problems have
04:06have withheld you or kept you from uh from really being in that advisory role and now with AI
04:14available to shoulder so much of that burden people are really going to have to learn what a what a
04:18modern
04:20housing professional looks like from a relationship standpoint that has never really existed
04:24before at least not in the last 15 or 20 years I agree we're going to continue to see
04:29trends of increasing adoption for AI that's actually moving the needle for people in the industry
04:36stay tuned keep an eye out for insights from housing wire and thank you for joining us
04:41and our very special friends on an episode of 10 minute talks
