00:00I've finally got my hands on a Kodak Charmerer, the $30, 30g keychain digital camera that sold
00:05out in a single day last year and months later at the time of filming it's only just come
00:09back in stock.
00:10And I can see the appeal.
00:11It's cheap, it's tiny, it's retro, it'll easily fix to your keyring and it's an actual
00:15working camera with a screen.
00:17That's got gift idea written all over it.
00:19There are six retro colourways plus a limited edition see-through version.
00:22Another part of the Charmerer charm, you don't know which version you'll get as it comes
00:26in a blind box like this.
00:27Let's see which one I have.
00:28Okay, so here are the six contenders and a 1 in 48 chance of getting the secret one.
00:34Well, the not so secret, transparent one.
00:37Alright, drum roll, what have we got?
00:43Alright, so this looks like a plain black one here with the rainbow front edge.
00:50It's tiny, it's basically like the size of my thumb.
00:54There's the keychain, comes with this little poster, that's kind of cute.
00:58Shoot with charm, it fits in your palm.
01:00Okay, so we've got a micro SD slot, USB-C microphone there I'm guessing.
01:04It has a little fixed 35mm lens, the rear screen and a tiny little viewfinder.
01:10And that's it.
01:11As for the tech specs, the Charmerer shoots tiny 1 megapixel photos with a fixed 35mm lens,
01:16HD video, stores onto micro SD which needs to be purchased separately and has a rechargeable
01:21battery with USB-C.
01:23There's a tiny LCD screen and an even smaller viewfinder which actually works and that's
01:27about it.
01:28I don't expect great pictures from the Charmerer, far from it.
01:30But I do think it will charm me over when I get to use it.
01:33Check out the pictures that future me has shot with it on the screen in a moment.
01:36Kodak is killing it right now with its top selling cheap cameras and the Charmerer could
01:40just be the pick of the pack.
01:41The Kodak Charmerer costs $30 or £30 for a single box, where you can buy the whole set
01:45of six for $190 or £180 to guarantee getting each colourway.
01:49Who knew a keychain camera could be so popular?
