00:00Instant cameras aren't going out of style anytime soon.
00:03In fact, Fujifilm keeps making them better every year.
00:06So, if you're looking for the best Fujifilm Instax camera,
00:09whether it's for travel, parties, or even just the perfect gift,
00:12you've got a lot of choices, and I'll help you pick the best one for you.
00:16In this video, I'm sharing the five best instant cameras in the Instax collection
00:20and giving you some short Fujifilm Instax camera reviews.
00:23You can find the best deals for all of them linked below, so let's get into it.
00:27All right, so if you're looking for the ultimate instant camera,
00:31it's got to be the Fujifilm Instax Mini Evo.
00:34It's like the perfect mashup, the fun of the 70s and 80s with the instant prints
00:39and the aesthetics of the 50s and 60s SLRs combined with the simple controls
00:43of something from, like, the 2000s.
00:45You get 10 filters and 10 lens effects, including fisheye, double exposure, color shifts,
00:50so you've got, like, 100 combinations for creativity built right in.
00:54The camera has a ton of smart features that I also love.
00:57First, it can store up to 45 photos, so you can print later,
01:00even if you run out of film or you're unsure what's worth printing.
01:03I can take a bunch of photos right now and decide which ones I want to print later.
01:06You can save images to your phone, and you can even transfer photos from your phone
01:11to print out directly here.
01:13For more control, you can also use your smartphone for remote shooting to control the shutter.
01:17This does cost over $200, making it one of the pricier Instax cameras you can get,
01:21but it definitely has the most versatility and one of the longest-lasting batteries on this list.
01:26It's hands down one of the best instant cameras you can buy today.
01:31But if you're looking for the best instant camera that's super simple to use and under $100,
01:36it's the Instax Mini 12.
01:38This is probably what you think of when you think of Instax cameras, round, cute, and candy-colored.
01:43It's something that'll make everyone want to flash a smile.
01:47Controls are also super easy.
01:48Just turn the lens one click to turn it on and to take normal shots,
01:52and click it again for close-ups or selfies.
01:56In its close-up mode, the object will print in the center so you don't even have to worry about framing.
02:01And did you know this little cutout here is actually a selfie mirror?
02:05Pretty cool.
02:05The results are pretty solid.
02:07Just keep in mind that the camera adjusts all the settings automatically,
02:11so the camera can struggle in some more difficult lighting conditions,
02:14especially when it's super bright outdoors.
02:16But if I'm being honest, I mean, isn't that kind of the charm,
02:20the unpredictable part of using these cameras?
02:22Overall, the Instax Mini 12 is one of the easiest, most fun, and affordable ways
02:27to start capturing memories in mini print.
02:29It's also a great gift idea and awesome for parties.
02:33Don't know about you, but I'm a big fan of photo guestbooks,
02:36and this camera is perfect for the job.
02:38Now, the Instax Mini 41 is like the grown-up version of the Mini 12 we just saw,
02:44but with a more retro style and premium build, but it's still super easy to use.
02:51Just a couple buttons, a selfie mirror, and a close-up mode for making it simple to capture amazing shots.
02:56The photos come out really beautifully without any effort,
03:00and the flash is always on, so it's especially good for low-light and nighttime shots.
03:04But just like the Instax Mini 12, it's probably not the best for super bright or sunny lighting.
03:10But for everything else, the pictures have great color reproduction and really good detail.
03:13So this one came out already.
03:22That'll take a little bit of time, and then this one is still coming.
03:25But one big difference between the Mini 41 and the Mini Evo that I already covered
03:29is that this one is powered by AA batteries instead of being rechargeable.
03:33But for $115, I think the Mini 41 still offers really great value.
03:38Every Instax camera that I've shared so far is part of the Mini family,
03:42and they all use the same kind of film.
03:44But Fujifilm also makes some cameras that produce photos in different sizes,
03:47like the Instax Wide 400 that I have here.
03:50Right away, you can tell that this is a lot bulkier compared to some of the other options,
03:54and it gives off medium format camera vibes, especially the Fujifilm GFX 50.
03:58If you know, you know.
04:00But those larger 2.4-inch by 3.9-inch wide format prints really catch your eye,
04:05and it's great for when you want to capture those landscape or group shots.
04:10Controls are still super simple, though.
04:11You have a self-timer dial on the left and an LED countdown above it,
04:15and then, of course, the shutter button.
04:17The camera handles auto-exposure really well, and it does a good job for the most part.
04:21And then check this out.
04:22They've also included these little angle adjusters with two height options
04:25to help you get the right framing when propping down the camera on a table like this
04:29without needing a tripod.
04:30Then there's the attachable macro lens, which also doubles as a selfie camera.
04:36Besides this larger size, though, this camera is also one of the most expensive on the list
04:40at $175, and its wide film is also pricier, so it's not the most value-centric Instax camera.
04:47But there's something really special about big prints, and I think this is one of the best cameras
04:51that helps you relive those special memories.
04:53All right, we're on to our final Instax camera for today's video.
04:57But quickly, if you're enjoying the video so far, let me know by hitting the Like button.
05:00This is the Instax Mini LiPlay, and it's not just an instant camera.
05:04It also is a smartphone printer.
05:06But on top of taking and printing photos, it also records audio for up to 10 seconds
05:11so that they can be relived via a QR code for those soundbite moments
05:15that you just want to experience again.
05:17You can get creative with the frames and filters, and it's probably one of the best choices
05:22for bright conditions out of any of the cameras on this list.
05:24Personally, I think the size and lightweight make it one of the better options for travel
05:28as well, especially if you take a lot of photos with your phone.
05:33For a compact, creative, and versatile instant camera that also doubles as a printer,
05:38the Instax Mini LiPlay is one of the best to get.
05:42It is $200, but again, you're getting a lot more than just a simple instant camera here.
05:47Before you make your final decision, there are a few things to keep in mind.
05:52Most Instax cameras use mini film.
05:54These credit card-sized prints are perfect for personal keepsakes or travel.
05:58You can buy them in bulk or at stores like Walmart, Best Buy, and Target, basically everywhere.
06:03Though, it's often cheaper if you find them on Amazon,
06:05so I'll drop a link down below so you can see what I mean.
06:08But like we said, some cameras like the Instax Y400 use wide film.
06:12The prints are much larger, but the film isn't as widely available and usually cost over a dollar
06:17per shot, so keep that in mind.
06:19The larger format is fun, but it's something to consider if you plan to capture a lot of pics.
06:24Finally, you need to think about power.
06:25Cameras like the Mini 12 and the Y400 run on AA batteries,
06:29so you can swap them instantly when they run out.
06:32Others like the Mini Evo and the Mini LiPlay use rechargeable batteries,
06:36so they're more eco-friendly, but you do lose some time when charging them.
06:40So again, the main takeaway is, depending on how you like to shoot
06:42and what you need to shoot, that'll help you determine which camera is right for you.
06:47All right, so those are the best Instax cameras with short reviews of my top picks that you can get today.
06:52I love that there's an Instax for every kind of memory maker,
06:55but let me know which one stands out to you or if there's one that you think I should check out next time.
