00:00This is the new X6, Insta360's 10th anniversary flagship 360 camera and these are the upgrades
00:06from the X5 that really matter. It features dual 1 over 1.1 inch sensors which are 33%
00:11bigger than the X5's and can capture 4 times more light per frame according to Insta360.
00:168K 360 video frame rates are boosted from 30 frames per second to 50 frames per second and
00:22360 photos are up from 72 megapixels to 120 megapixels with 42 megapixel flat photos.
00:28The X6 is the first ever 360 camera with native in-camera Dolby Vision plus 10-bit color is now
00:34supported across every shooting mode including the low light pure video which is a first for the X series
00:39and which is boosted by native DaVinci Resolve compatibility. That's another first for a 360
00:44camera. The X6 has a squatter design than the Candibar X5, more in line with GoPro and DJI's 360 cameras
00:50plus it's waterproof to 20 meters or 60 meters with the official dive case. That's action camera level
00:56performance and the best of any small 360 camera. The screen is actually smaller than the X5's on
01:00the diagonal 2.32 inches versus 2.5 inches but it's an always-on OLED type with a new pressure
01:06sensitive haptic touch interface. Battery capacity is slightly larger at 2600 mah but with big gains.
01:13You'll get around 120 minutes at 8K 30 frames per second which is around 50% more than the X5.
01:19The X6 fast
01:20charge is from 0 to 80% in 24 minutes however which is a fraction slower than the X5. In
01:25addition to a
01:25micro SD slot, built-in storage is another first for the series to the tune of 47 gigabytes. Fast
01:31Wi-Fi 6 and USB 3 are on board with 100 megabytes per second and 450 megabytes per second transfer
01:37speeds respectively. New replaceable lenses are now five times more scratch resistant than the X5's
01:42plus replacements are slightly cheaper. Meanwhile a new mic array includes a dedicated hidden built-in mic
01:47specifically for motorcycle riders. Insta360 says the X6 is effectively three cameras in one. A 360 cam,
01:53a single length action cam and a subject tracking gimbal style vlogging cam thanks to InstaFrame 2.0.
01:59I've tested it alongside the X5 which was already my favourite 360 camera can vouch that the X6 raises
02:05the bar. What's less welcome however is the price hike. Prices start from $699 or £619, making the X6 the
02:11priciest 360 camera by some margin. Unlike DJI's Osmo 360 however, it's available to order now.
