00:16holy hey matt there are treasures you can't even begin to imagine oh my god i'm matt paxton
00:25and my team and i are cleaning out properties rain and poop looking for big scores one of a kind
00:32we found gold for our clients and ourselves and if my instincts are right i think this is legit
00:41everyone wins 82 000 that's all i can say is wow you give me my house back 110 000 i
00:49can't believe
00:49this is the same house 320 000 oh my gosh
01:03all right guys here we are queen new york city that never sleeps this week it's all about that
01:09empire state of mind as the team and i are here to tackle two potential hordes first we're here to
01:15see a guy named mickey a lot of people call us and they think they got great stuff mickey definitely
01:20has great stuff got a really cool collection from the 80s and 90s but he is a single dad
01:26and he needs to sell it all so he can make space and money for his kids a lot of
01:31stuff that i have
01:32in my collection is everything 80s i have a lot of collectible jackets from the wu-tang clan and boys
01:39to men and a lot of the mature jackets crew jackets are not available in stores i collect a lot
01:43of
01:43night rider back to the future so i have these uh back to the future shoes that that auto lace
01:49oh yeah i'm very very excited to see this toy collection in person you'll find more back to
01:55the future stuff here like marty's hat his camcorder that appears in the beginning of the film the
01:59hoverboard is like sitting here these are worth a pretty padding the inner kid in all of us is
02:04going to have a great time this week oh dude i haven't been back here in almost two years oh
02:09man
02:09this is gross uh cobwebs everywhere well tons of mouse poop a giant spider up there these items in
02:17the shed could be ruined based on the conditions that are in that video it looked like a lot of
02:23them in container still all right don't trip over anything this is valuable stuff i think it's time
02:28for me to get rid of a lot of the stuff nope nope don't touch my toys close that drawer
02:32please i have
02:33three kids and so i gotta do it for my kids as i'm closely approaching 50 i'm getting too old
02:39to
02:39hang on to my childhood dreams and i want to hold on to my kids dreams and give them room
02:43i want them
02:44to be able to have a place to play you are the only guys that can help me out because
02:49i just don't have
02:50the time the resources to pull any of this stuff out as far as target items that don't get any
02:55better
02:55than this i mean let's start off with the best thing i've seen in a couple years back to the
03:00future two self-lacing nikes i can't wait to see those beyond excited to see those they made less
03:07than 100 of them fingers crossed these are legit because if so i mean this has got a six-figure
03:12potential along with the self-lacing nike mags we're looking for night rider memorabilia and limited
03:19edition hip-hop tour jackets dare i say we're about to go back to our future
03:29oh wow awesome hey hey how's it going hi how's it going to see you nice to meet you we
03:34are very
03:35excited about seeing this collection very excited to show you i'm gonna let mike and i come inside
03:39with you and then the guys are gonna go in the back sounds good yeah we'll see you guys in
03:42a little
03:42bit all right see you in a bit let's do it here we go wow holy cow wow right off
03:49the bat
03:49i see night rider yeah it was always my favorite tv show growing up michael knight the character was
03:54that one man who made a difference and made me want to become a teacher because of that
03:58it was my 80s icon i am the voice of night industry 2000 i can't believe this a car that
04:04talks back to
04:05me in the early 80s tv audiences tuned into night rider starring david hasselhoff alongside his partner
04:12injustice kid an artificially intelligent talking car basically a tesla with an attitude the series
04:18became a cultural phenomenon in 2021 hasselhoff auctioned off his own personal kit car for
04:24three hundred thousand dollars i might find one night rider toy once every six months you've got
04:31practically everything night rider collections do not come along very often in 25 years i've never
04:37seen one it's a very good collection but it's extremely rare and in this situation i'm not confident
04:43that rare is good but look if i can sell alf stuff i could probably sell night rider stuff i
04:48have not
04:49seen most of these toys before and i've seen millions of toys as a child of the 80s i lived
04:56for
04:56night rider mickey has all of the standard things you would want to see but then he has night rider
05:03party cups these little gloves these kids gloves that should have been destroyed or lost years ago
05:08young people today they know transformers are but night rider no chance i basically have to find
05:14mickey 2.0 in order to sell this night rider collection oh three sheds pick your poison let's
05:22check out the one on the left yeah you do the honor bro oh uh-oh those busters exactly so
05:30if i can get
05:31to the back as he was under all that stuff we probably had some sales so all the jackets are
05:35in
05:36here guys um all the concert and tour jackets wow a ghostface killer jacket i haven't seen anybody else
05:43with this jacket this is about a 500 jacket you know i've been dealing with music memorabilia for 30
05:48plus years this is memorabilia you can wear this jacket was made in 1997 during the height of their
05:54popularity with the second album wu-tang forever but you know this is not the creme de la creme
05:59i have the nike air mag sneakers here they are oh my god
06:08wow man whoa this is crazy i'm kind of in a hole here man these are the auto lace one
06:16unbelievable only 89 were made our laces all right in 1989 the time travel film back to the future part
06:25two gave audiences a glimpse of what life in the far-off future of 2015 might look like
06:31including a futuristic pair of self-lacing shoes worn by the film's hero marty mcfly
06:37fans petitioned for decades to make this dream a reality and in 2016 nike gave them their wish
06:44the first ever truly self-lacing wearable version of the sneakers proceeds went to michael j fox's
06:50foundation only 89 pairs were made and some went to auction for 200 000
06:59look at that dude wow i mean this is this is the show dude like this is crazy my hunch
07:07is they
07:08probably are real if these shoes are real they're easily worth a hundred thousand dollars but there's
07:12a massive black market of replicas and knockoffs that look incredibly real so i have to have an
07:18independent person come in and authenticate these so we are a hundred percent confident before we
07:22sell them if this is how we start yeah we're 10 minutes into this house watch your head guys
07:29as you come down oh my god i didn't realize you also had transformers yeah this is great i mean
07:36there's some newer figures some older figures a lot of them are at least in the box whether they're
07:40sealed or not are these sellable absolutely this place it's a museum for amazing toys from the 80s
07:48i didn't realize you had these welcome to the master of the universe world wow these are the figures that
07:53uh you might remember from your childhood i love it not surprisingly mickey has this house very
08:00organized he knows where everything is which will help us a lot because this is a hoard that i need
08:04every
08:05minute to inventory and price what's going to be gone and what's going to be replaced i think i want
08:10all of it gone be replaced by my kids toys this house is not kid friendly it's like a candy
08:14store
08:15that you cannot buy candy out of mickey has spent decades of his life on this collection and it's a
08:20big part of his identity but being able to recognize that he needs to get rid of this collection for
08:25his
08:25kids as a father i fully respect that hey guys what's up what's up much how y'all doing here
08:33just some good
08:33stuff all of our target items are accounted for and then some really good stuff it's definitely a
08:39home run as long as there's no counterfeits what do you guys got until we can get digging it's hard
08:44to tell what we're working with yeah from what i see in the back shield look the most promising
08:48it's ghostbuster stuff halloween and christmas stuff too okay so there's some hope there yeah
08:53so what would you think on overall cost then two thousand would probably be great two would be
08:57amazing oh yeah let's estimate it up to three just to be safe okay all right well now let's just
09:03put a
09:03little more time into researching and getting the right buyers i mean this is a weird one but we
09:08could make a lot of money on this one man yeah let me go meet with mickey okay got it
09:13i'll see you
09:13guys in a few okay dude the toys inside oh my god all right we obviously want to do this
09:21job man you've
09:22got some great stuff awesome i think there's a big sale here my costs are pretty low honestly i think
09:27three thousand and we're looking at least six figures in sales if those nike mags are the real
09:32deal uh i mean i'd i'd rather be at 40 60 but honestly 30 70 feels a little more fair
09:38to you
09:40i'm i'm i'm almost there if i can just get 75 percent maybe only because my stuff is kind of
09:49immaculate it's organized ready for you you know coming down five percent isn't a big deal but we have a
09:55lot riding on these backs of the future shoes the reward on this job is much higher than the risk
10:01the risk would be that it's all fake and i can't make any money and if that's true i'm only
10:06out a
10:06couple thousand dollars on labor so for me i'm all about taking the risk on this job because i think
10:11we can make a ton of money 75 25 yeah you got a deal dude and i guarantee you get
10:18the backyard and the
10:19house reclaimed for your kids i'll be honest i was willing to roll the dice on this deal but the
10:24reality
10:24is i am fascinated by these sneakers for my kids if they met mr beast or messy that'd be a
10:30huge deal
10:30for me it's holding the back to the future 2 nike mags all right we're gonna get started in the
10:36backyard like right away wow can't wait thank you so much thank you what's up guys how are you good
10:43to
10:43see you the stakes are high mickey has invested in this collection he put a lot of cash down to
10:48buy
10:48these things so hopefully we'll not only make all that back but make him a decent enough profit and make
10:53space for his kids and give them the life that they want i have a good idea of what we're
10:57working
10:58with inside so i want to check out those sheds to see if there are any other hidden treasures we
11:02can
11:02salvage robo cop dude you remember robo cop yeah dude check this out cool comics you don't even smell
11:11this anymore do you know i mean i smell it don't get me wrong look at that man
11:18so when you're looking at poop looks like a tick tag it's a rat as a clean out specialist rats
11:25can
11:25destroy a job for me this is getting bad in here we need masks they're small they're nasty they can
11:31get through the entire collection hopefully they haven't destroyed everything oh man oh look at that
11:36i mean this is years of rat what would this stuff it was in good condition what would it sell
11:45for
11:46this is from the 90s it's highly sought after star wars collectible my guess it'd be worth a couple
11:50hundred dollars every single job comes with risk and these hundred thousand dollar shoes are not
11:55guaranteed so right now every single item matters it's one thing to throw away items worth a couple
12:01dollars it's another to have to throw away items that are worth hundreds of dollars that is a punch in
12:07the stomach just i mean you can't even say this dude this is breaking my heart dude
12:20this is one of the weirdest things guys what we got here man state puff marshmallow man from
12:26ghostbusters look at this thing it's day two here in queens and unlike back to the future we can't go
12:32back in time i'm hoping we have better luck with valuables in the other two sheds but while chris
12:37and kalen keep working i'm gonna meet with someone mike set up to buy the jackets obviously the wu-tang
12:43stuff's incredible you know for sure man these these need to be enjoyed you know so well this is history
12:49dude in the 1980s and early 90s hip-hop exploded across america it wasn't just music it was a new
12:57culture with its own style and tour jackets became symbols of status and crew loyalty today original
13:03wu-tang tour and crew jackets are among the most coveted pieces of hip-hop memorabilia selling at
13:09auction for over twelve thousand dollars so this is stuff that doesn't kind of surface that much yeah
13:15i would love to own it for sure if the price is right like 3 100 for everything i want
13:21to be at like
13:2211 50. oh no for these yeah i'd go down to about 2500.
13:30yeah done sounds good all right absolutely all right here we go
13:39dude this is awesome hulk hogan versus andre the giant and he slams him let's hope
13:47something in here can be saved some more a little cleaner hey matt did you catch more yeah holy cow
13:58dude
14:00okay these two pairs are knockoffs of the self-lacing shoes but the reality is they're still kind of
14:06collectible and we can sell them for a price a lot less than the originals there's a couple grand you
14:12just found good job dude all right let me get these out all right
14:20guys are doing a good job in queens so i'm going to drive up to rhinebeck new york
14:25it's about two hours north of the city i'm going to meet with potential client julia and her daughter
14:30katie julia's husband john passed away a few months ago john was an avid collector and skier but
14:38john left them with a huge board it's a yard and a barn that is just filled to the top
14:44my late
14:45husband's name was john he was an emt he joined the ski patrol with the ski patrol he was part
14:52of
14:52the 1980 lake placid olympics and the 88 calgary olympics john was always a collector if he found
15:01something he liked he would look for more of that thing whatever it was when we say this is a
15:06hoarder
15:07barn we mean from the floor to the rafters literally there are skis up in the rafters
15:12mystery boxes he have his jackets from the olympics with different memorabilia olympic pins that he
15:20collected he designed a pin it said jump patrol i hope we can find it all of the old olympic
15:29memorabilia does very very well specifically the clothes they gave out i see vintage ski equipment
15:34everywhere that vintage ski equipment can actually sell the olympic pins have become incredibly
15:39collectible especially anything from lake placid and the miracle on ice that would be a huge win for
15:45us the outside has hot dog carts there is a pontoon boat several kayaks hot dog carts is not something
15:53i
15:53see in hordes these days so i'm really excited to see what we have there it's really sad that the
15:58horde
15:59has just kind of taken over all of it because it's a gorgeous property it's an acre and a half
16:04full of
16:04stuff full of trash full of collections it's too much for two people to handle alone it's just all
16:12consuming so really excited but bottom line we've got to get into this yard get into this barn and see
16:18what kind of value there is before i can make a deal we're going for gold and the way to
16:21get there is
16:22finding those hot dog carts the vintage skis and the olympic memorabilia hello hello hi joey good to
16:30meet you nice to meet you nice to meet you all right i see why y'all called me this
16:35is welcome to
16:36the jungle it is a jungle the yard is dangerous boy this is a ton of stuff back in here
16:43we're just
16:44beginning this tour and it's already shaping up to be a level five horde where every step could be
16:48dangerous please watch your step right there no twisted ankles man there's a ton of scrap metal
16:54here the path untraveled especially for julia and katie to do it by themselves and if there's anything
17:01valuable here it's buried under weeds scrap metal and poison ivy under the weeds many grills smokers
17:08all kinds of stuff and there's really no other way for me to get it but to hand pick it
17:12guys this is
17:13something this right here i'm really intrigued about a hot dog cart i've never seen a hot dog cart in
17:18a
17:18hoard i'll tell you that well there's two okay yeah two for one deal as we go through this yard
17:24i
17:24would say most of these items need to be thrown out or scrapped however these hot dog stands are in
17:29pretty good condition i mean they're valuable because you can resell them but they also generate
17:34ongoing income so that combination makes them very desirable for the right buyer wait until you get in
17:40vodka literally as soon as you come in the door there's skis holy cow dude this guy had a lot
17:47of
17:48skis his house is like an i spy book every single time you look at it man he's got it
17:54all here you
17:55guys he sure does so do you have any idea where the olympic memorabilia might be no idea all right
18:01i like it
18:02i like a challenge all right i think i've seen enough in here this guy has an amazing story my
18:07hunch is telling me we're going to find some incredible treasures but i'm telling you right
18:11now it's not going to be easy i'm a little nervous about the yard me too i think costs are
18:16between 15
18:17and 20 000 and i honestly have no clue what i can make profit wise so for that reason i
18:25think i'm just
18:25going to go 50 50 split yes that's fantastic all right 50 50 split all right so i'll be back
18:32in a
18:32couple days thank you thank you guys i'm excited thank you we are too
18:41he has literally just about every single item that was ever produced for night rider the view master
18:48the night rider lunchbox i remember this as a kid hello michael yes kit hit the turbos we cleaned
18:55out two of the sheds and luckily found some salvageable items that we can sell mickey said
19:00he wanted to make his home to be more kid friendly so i'm having kaylin tear down the beat up
19:04wooden
19:04sheds to give his kids a bigger play area in the backyard while mike prepares the night rider collection
19:09for the visiting high-end vintage toy collectors this is hands down the best night rider collection
19:14you will ever see yeah i've had my store for 35 years and night rider stuff just does not walk
19:21through
19:21the door yeah you know i can tell these collectors are feverish to buy this night rider collection
19:27so i'm going to try and sell everything for as much as possible this has so many great pieces every
19:32cool kid had that in 1985. oh my god i just want to show you like for example this voice
19:37car it actually
19:38works yeah let me check this out what is your next mission i think your next mission is to shake
19:44my hand
19:44and give me six thousand dollars what do you think you got a deal scan my qr code with your
19:50phone and we
19:51can start boxing it all up we've already come across two knockoffs of the nike mags but the real question
20:04remains are the pair of the self-lacing shoes that we saw on the tour real or not mickey thinks
20:10they're
20:10real and so do i but if we're going to sell these things for 100 grand we have to be
20:14absolutely
20:15certain that they're authentic so i'm going to call a friend that worked at nike and helped design this
20:20shoe tiffany thank you for taking the call uh we are in new york city and we came across nike
20:26mags now
20:27just i just want to explain that like you literally designed these correct yeah i was part of part of
20:32the team that engineered them and actually build it all into a wearable shoe all right so we got three
20:37pair here here is the first pair we've got two of these this is the i guess you probably did
20:43not
20:44help with these this is what was sold at uh universal studios all right this was the next pair from
20:522016 i believe um i'm guessing these were more of a halloween costume yeah i think they were those are
20:58definitely not uh the ones i worked on that's for sure probably not an original so we will not waste
21:03time these are not the good ones two down two down and let's go here to the big dog okay
21:09so this is an
21:10auto lace did you try it yes okay we're on the right track can you show me the buttons so
21:19the buttons
21:20yeah they look good tiffany that's great show me the um the inside the die cut we call these ears
21:29this edge should be trimmed really nice well
21:39that doesn't look right uh-oh what do you mean
21:47that doesn't look right this edge should be trimmed really nice you know yeah it looks like a my one
21:53of my kids took scissors like the little scissors from elementary school and cut around it how about
21:57the outsole let's take a look at the outsole this is about to be a career defining moment if these
22:03shoes are real it'll be the single most expensive item we've sold but if they're fake i don't think
22:08my heart or my wallet can take it that outsole is actually if you look at the bottom of it
22:13see how it
22:14doesn't line up to the front of the shoe there like right in this area it should it should be
22:19butted
22:19straight up to there there is a two centimeter gap here yeah from here to here yeah that's a little
22:26surprising my guess is that someone actually took that apart and repaired it um but that it was
22:33originally uh one of the shoes yeah you're right it's like this this piece got glued the bottom part
22:39got glued on and you're right the whole this one is a lined up top up here but when you
22:44get to here
22:45it starts to slide down yeah that's a little abnormal for these because those there was only 89
22:51pair so they were hooked at with a fine tooth gum all right well that's not good that substantially
22:59changes the price it definitely i can't sell it as is i mean i know that and that's the kicker
23:03i mean
23:04that's what i needed to know i really appreciate your time of course all right my pleasure all right bye
23:08bye bye i'm a little bummed i mean the biggest takeaway from her was this gap
23:17here on the shoe she believes this was taken off and re-glued back on by hand
23:24her belief is that these were actually probably deconstructed
23:28so they might actually be a real pair but they've been completely taken apart so you know that might
23:34change this from an eighty thousand dollar shoe to a five thousand dollar shoe but uh you know i
23:38can't go sell this to someone and it not be real so am i bummed absolutely um do i have
23:45time to think
23:45about it no i gotta go make some cash it's our last day in queen but finding out the nike
23:57mags were
23:58original and messed with and now they're unsellable is an absolute punch in the gut and our wallets but
24:04luckily mickey has some other really cool and rare items we're in new york city man if you can't sell
24:09it here you can't sell it anywhere so the team and i are going to do everything we can to
24:13drum up some
24:13sales and increase our profits i wanted to know how much it's going for in this condition i can let
24:18it
24:18go for 300. that's fine deal thank you there we go so this is all from all three movies yeah
24:29yeah the
24:29two star pieces are the skateboard and the jacket jacket both are not only autographed but they're
24:36authenticated so you've got on the skateboard you've got michael j fox this is the actual mattel
24:41release board they didn't make a lot of these so what are you guys thinking for the whole lot
24:46i'm actually at 10 grand on the whole set can do 10. uh if you did eight
24:54sold done we got a deal hot dog man all right you are marty mcfly dude you get it all
25:00appreciate
25:00it thank you this collection is amazing if you don't know what unpunched means it means that these
25:06were never circulated out into the real world these never were i mean like put onto a peg at the
25:10store nobody ever touched these except the person who bought yeah and that's what collectors are
25:13looking for you know if you can get a mint on card unpunched toy that's like the holy grail all
25:20right
25:20we're looking for 7 500 for all the transformers and all of the he-man toys i can offer you
25:266 500
25:27for this entire collection 6 500 you got a deal my friend awesome this is excellent he's not gonna
25:44be sorry all right mickey you had one request for us this week yes make some space for your kids
25:50mm-hmm let's go see how we did can't wait look at all this space oh my goodness where are
25:57my toys
25:58the toys are gone it's all gone it's kind of crazy i mean it's beautiful but it and i'm i'm
26:05missing it
26:05all right here's the good news they went to a person that truly wanted them i'm happy to hear that
26:11we made
26:12the space for the things that truly matter my kids ready for your kids to get in here and start
26:18making
26:18it their home my mind was blown when i walked into my living room i could see my walls again
26:23they were
26:23immaculate couldn't believe it i was floored this was beautiful all right here we go oh my goodness
26:30you sold everything oh i have space now for my kids clothes 100 of the jackets were sold in new
26:36york
26:36oh wow okay hoping that this becomes like a coming to america experience for you and you see
26:42people wearing those jackets walking on the street when you walk outside you know what i'm talking
26:46about yep yeah all right we got a lot more space to see we go down to the basement yes
26:51let's do it
26:51oh my god echo echo huge echo oh my goodness wow what do you think that is crazy the kids
26:59will
26:59definitely have more room to play now exactly you can turn this into a little game room get a little
27:05foosball table some video games let's go check out the backyard wow oh my goodness wow these sheds
27:13were no joke we got rid of the two that were damaged by rats which opened up a nice little
27:17outdoor play
27:18area for your kids and we kept that one that was in good shape so that you'd have a place
27:23to keep
27:23all their bikes and stuff matt far exceeded my expectations man i couldn't even believe the play
27:30space for my kids i wasn't even expecting that i'm so forever grateful thank you for the
27:34play yard and they can play soccer and even sit at a picnic table as a dad i know what
27:41you really
27:41wanted all right right yeah i was clear with that all right so let's go over the good news what
27:46did we
27:46sell so we sold all the transformers all the he-man all of the knight rider we sold all the
27:54hip-hop
27:55jackets a lot of the back to the future memorabilia i mean you let us sell everything
28:00you said we could what did we not sell we did not sell the shoes oh man i called my
28:11friend tiffany
28:12beers she was on the original design team for nike she helped create these shoes and she said they
28:19were an original pair and then someone took them apart to copy them and then put them back together
28:27wow so we were not able to sell those obviously the number was a lot lower than we were expecting
28:33yeah
28:38obviously the number was a lot lower than we were expecting yeah i mean that shoe could have gone
28:42anywhere from 30 to 80 000 all right total numbers what did we sell 28 750 wow i have to
28:53be honest i'm
28:53a little sad about it but i've always felt guilty and nervous about selling these shoes you know i had
28:59wondered about them because i wasn't the original owners of the shoes so for his team to find out for
29:04me
29:04what these shoes actually were um i i could sleep better at night now knowing what i know about these
29:10shoes cost was three thousand dollars so that left us twenty five thousand seven hundred and fifty
29:15dollars to split 75 to you 25 to me that leaves you with 19 312 wow so here's your cash
29:24and here's
29:26the check this is crazy all right dude i'm gonna help somebody else all right enjoy the new backyard
29:31i'm excited for mickey i mean he has chosen his kids over everything else and it was not easy
29:36but as a dad i respect that fully guys what do you think i love it i wish i could
29:45go back in time
29:45and change my deal but that's the reality of my business i take risks and one of the risks was
29:50these shoes weren't real sometimes i make 100 grand sometimes i make three or four
29:58with everything wrapped up at mickey's it's now full speed ahead when it comes to tackling our gold
30:02metal horde and locating our target items hey can i put the dumpster here where's carlin
30:11this property is massive so time is of the essence to get into the barn and start hunting
30:18we do know where the hot dog carts are but the vintage skis i saw in my initial scout were
30:23pretty beat up hopefully we find some other high-end ones buried in the barn with the rest of the
30:28olympic memorabilia i honestly don't know where to start mike well the good news is no matter where
30:33we start it's gonna help all right we got a lot of stuff i'm just trying to get over to
30:38you man
30:38oh wait a minute matt where you at look at this wow dude look they got marbles in the eyes
30:45man
30:46that's hand carved that's that's incredible it might oh whoa these are cool olympic posters
30:59lake placid 1980 was that the miracle ice yeah man usa versus russia ice hockey when they gave us no
31:07chance no chance in 1980 the cold war was at its peak and the lake placid olympics served as a
31:15global
31:15stage for the united states to square off against the soviets in ice hockey the soviets were
31:20professionals bigger faster the united states team was the complete opposite comprised of college kids
31:27but on february 22nd the americans shocked the world beating the soviets four to three
31:32tomorrow do you believe in miracles yes dubbing the moment the miracle on ice as one of the greatest
31:39upsets in sports history this is a good start because of the history behind the lake placid olympics
31:49memorabilia from it sells for like double the price yeah but we need something way bigger than that yeah
31:55yep old john deere it's one of the few brands that always sells no matter what
32:03let's get this thing out of here oh i got flame i got a heat source so that's a good
32:09sign
32:10oh man so he was a paramedic so this would have been training to do compressions not something we can
32:20sell but it's definitely a testament to the kind of guy he was and how hard he worked
32:37we're thinking 300 each so we're thinking 600 for the lot um all right let's do it perfect
32:44it's day two here at our gold medal hoard we've got the barn about halfway cleared out which is good
32:50but we still haven't found a lot of money yet i think we're just grabbing metal out of the woods
32:55right i think just moving scrap metal okay however we are finding an insane amount of scrap metal in
33:02this yard we're filling up kind of fast yeah is it almost full already old bikes grills all of which
33:08fetch good money at the scrap yard and removing them is also going to make this yard a lot safer
33:12to
33:12maintain for julia and katie yeah doggie the game plan for today is to keep picking and we got to
33:19get
33:19cooking on making some sales this is definitely the world record ski collection i've ever seen
33:26what do you call it the guinness book of world records yeah this is it these are probably like
33:30rental skis from a closed down ski resort or like maybe maybe he was renting out the skis
33:39the good news is there are a ton of skis in the barn the bad news is they're not worth
33:45hardly
33:45anything and that's going to hurt our bottom line oh these are heavy why are these so heavy we were
33:51hoping to find some top of the line professional grade racing skis however these are run-of-the-mill
33:57rental skis not much value there vintage skis aren't like vintage guitars or vintage cars the technology
34:03has just changed way too much and these are obsolete now basically all they're good for is art or furniture
34:09so i'm going to clear these out put them to the side and pray i can get somebody to come
34:13in and take
34:14them all if i can't we'll send them to the scrap yard i got both hot dog carts yeah no
34:23this is clean
34:23man i was thinking 1600 on this one and 1400 on that one so that's 3 000 for the two
34:30yeah you got a deal
34:31dude i'm gonna take it all right you got some cash yeah uh let's go get the trailer and get
34:35these out of
34:35yeah what is this oh hey mike i think our luck's starting to change uh oh oh whoa dude you
34:51found
34:51the pins dude this is great a lot of these were only available to the olympics some of these were
34:58only
34:58available to people participating in the games some of these are really hard to come by and that can mean
35:05quite a bit more money this collection spans way more than the games that john worked at in lake
35:10placid in 1980 and calgary in 1988. i'm seeing pens from 1976 in montreal 1984 in los angeles and 1988
35:20in seoul south korea this collection is legit this thing is just full of pins whoa purse
35:30see if there's anything good in the purse whoa whoa chris i think we might have just found our gold
35:38metal look at this whoa chris i think we might have just found our gold medal i don't know what
35:49that is
35:50a pocket watch whoa hey matt what's up dudes what's finding uh a pocket watch that's gold it's an elgin
36:02probably 14 karat gold from the 1920s this is a couple thousand dollars yeah it might be
36:08man phenomenal job you guys that's incredible man you made a ton of space in here yeah what a dent
36:14this gold watch is a great find but unfortunately it's a drop in the bucket compared to our cost on
36:19this job hopefully we can keep finding great stuff like this or otherwise we're going to be dead in the
36:24water
36:38it's our last day here at the olympic horde we've spent a lot of money on heavy machinery and labor
36:42and unfortunately we haven't made much money it's going to be a sprint to the finish if we
36:46want any hope on turning a profit on this job
36:52this watch is amazing i just love it we found it buried in the barn it was like in the
36:56bottom of a
36:57bucket it looks gold plated but it's not it's gold coolest part here is look at this you pull that
37:02little you pull that little guy out right there and it's a stopwatch really really amazing watch i
37:07know you you said your husband collects stopwatches yeah he's gonna love it uh believe it or not
37:11i am at two grand okay all right you got a deal congratulations thank you it's all yours
37:21whoa whoa whoa your boat gently down the stream you're good straight back
37:34vince thanks for coming out man yeah good to see you so good to see you my friend this is
37:38it this is
37:39the craziest collection of olympic memorabilia that we've ever found i've got 1262 pins we've got some
37:45posters down here i mean this is just absolutely amazing and they're in pretty good shape some of
37:51them oh yeah they're all in great shape he was an emt for the olympics he was right there with
37:57all the
37:58athletes it's amazing this is actually stuff from my favorite period 1980s well i'll tell you what
38:03there's a few pins in here that are worth hundreds of dollars all total for everything we're looking at
38:07nine thousand dollars my friend
38:27all right y'all let's go see the work we did look at this oh my god you asked for
38:32space in the yard
38:33there's definitely a space in the yard it took us all the way until dusk today i'm speechless oh my
38:40god the boat that was here was here my whole life to think just three days ago i couldn't see
38:46any of
38:47this no i'm completely speechless there's always been stuff there's always been weeds my biggest fear
38:53was that something would happen to me before we could clear it out and and katie would be stuck
39:00it means the world to me i'm staring at the ground until we get it okay no look up look
39:04up look up
39:05you are not gonna believe you oh my god holy shnikes i'm literally speechless yeah i'm like thrilled
39:15you know he spent what 30 years filling this space yeah so we had we had a day for every
39:2010 years
39:21yeah we could have been working on this for the rest of our lives i really never realized how much
39:30this was weighing me down i feel like i'm able to breathe again so let's go over the numbers we
39:37actually had good sales beautiful pocket watch the hot dog cards and scrap metal but what really helped
39:46us get to our goal was the pen collection wow can we do 82 25 you got it man okay
39:53so a total of 19 350
39:58wow the bad news is this was a very expensive clean out i'm sure it was it was fourteen thousand
40:04dollars
40:05that left us two thousand six hundred seventy five dollars each wow here is your cash oh my goodness
40:15we didn't do this for the money you know we really didn't the cleaning out of the property
40:23financially is going to help us tremendously all right and our very last item we sold all the pins
40:30but one this is the one he designed the one he designed that you mentioned on the tape you sent
40:36me
40:36i've never actually seen this pin
40:41i thought this was gone i can't believe this was well people keep things for a reason yeah it's so
40:48relieving to finally be able to remember dad as dad and all the the many ways he was himself and
40:54not
40:55just as dad the guy who had a lot of stuff is is really special it was amazing we're the
41:01ones thanking
41:01you man like it was amazing hey i made money this was a good thing for me we were way
41:05down on day two
41:06we had lost money on this job and it would have been a total loss for the entire week but
41:11we buckled
41:12down we didn't lose confidence and we kept doing our job not every job is going to make you a
41:17hundred
41:18thousand dollars some weeks you make a lot of money some weeks you make a little money at the end
41:22of the
41:23day we still got to help two good families and in both situations their father's collections is what
41:28helped them in the end
