00:36The Red Dead Redemption 2 ending is the culmination of hours of build-up and gameplay,
00:51leading to one of the toughest missions in the whole game.
00:52And if the sweat wasn't dripping from your brow through the whole mission, you're a more composed person than me.
00:58In the mission, John teams up with Sadie and Charles to hunt down Micah at his last known hideout.
01:02While the mission starts off with an exhilarating sense of power,
01:05it quickly devolves into one of the game's more frustrating shootouts.
01:09Enemies attack from all directions, some taking high ground, while others ambush you from behind.
01:13There's no cover.
01:14It's all about getting off shots before shots hit you.

01:39Up until 2010, no video game had an ending quite as intense as Red Dead Redemption.
01:45A long and winding story that ends up with John, the character you'd been playing as the entire time, backstabbed
01:50and shot dead.
01:51But the moments leading up to his death were as stressful as a video game could possibly get.
01:56Ignoring the rising tension as you fight off Pinkertons,
01:59it's the moment where you place John's wife Abigail and his son Jack onto a horse and send them off,
02:03where stress levels really peak.
02:05Opening the door and facing a wall of soldiers,
02:08you enter Deadeye and experience one of the biggest panics in gaming.
02:11How am I going to shoot all these guys?
02:13The answer?

02:19Money Lending and Other Sins 4 Red Dead Redemption 2

02:29Throughout the RDR2 campaign,
02:31Strauss will send Arthur off on various loan shark-esque missions,
02:35the most stressful of which is probably Money Lending and Other Sins 4,
02:38which requires Arthur to chase down two different men for repayment.
02:42One requires you to help rob a grave.
02:43This means clearing out the grave, guarding the gate,
02:46and trying your best not to get caught doing one of the most heinous crimes imaginable.
02:50The other has you moving through a dark cave while being pursued by a cougar,
02:53complete with growls in all directions and jump-scary movements in the darkness.
02:57It's a borderline horror game at that point.

03:10The Sport of Kings and Liars Red Dead Redemption.

03:34so you should be well-versed in handling it efficiently
03:37by the time the mission The Sport of Kings and Liars comes around.
03:40But surprisingly, this mission delivers a harsh reality check
03:43for anyone who's neglected to stay on top of upgrading their horse.
03:47The race is tougher than it looks,
03:48and without one of the fastest horses in the game,
03:50players will find themselves struggling just to keep up, let alone win.
04:03Floating to Mexico, Red Dead Redemption.
04:05You're such an interesting fellow, Mr. Irish.
04:08Ah, Mr. Marston, I've come to wish you well.

04:32It's meant to be a demanding yet satisfying milestone in the story,
04:36which is why it stands firmly in gamers' minds as an often-repeated moment,
04:40and a surprisingly tough moment.
04:42John, in this tense sequence,
04:44must defend the raft from waves of bandits
04:46while making his way across the river.
04:48The final showdown at the end of the ride
04:50is crafted to feel like a well-earned victory
04:52and the start of a new chapter in John's story.

05:20In the Bonnie mission, a tempest looms.
05:23There's a section where you're supposed to stop a stampeding herd
05:26before they plunge to their doom.
05:28The game tells you to ride in front of the herd to slow them down,
05:30but that advice is practically useless.
05:33With most players trying everything in their power to get ahead of the cows,
05:35it's almost impossible not to lose at least a few of them.
05:47Horseman 10, Red Dead Redemption 2.
05:53Easy, easy, easy thing.
05:56The challenges in Red Dead Redemption 2
05:58can offer almost all of the most stressful moments in the game,
06:00and Horseman Challenge 10 is no exception.
06:03Horseman Challenge 10 can be a time-consuming task
06:06as it requires players to break every wild horse breed in the game.
06:10Fortunately, not all horse breeds in the game are wild,
06:12and only nine need to actually be tamed.
06:15Still, tracking them down can be frustrating,
06:17especially if you don't know their spawn locations.
06:19And when the breed you do need refuses to appear,
06:22it becomes even more of a headache.
06:23Sitting around, staring at an open field and waiting
06:25is super annoying when the rest of Red Dead Redemption 2
06:28is right there waiting to be played.

06:51and stressful moments in Red Dead Redemption 2,
06:53because nearly everything that can go wrong does.
06:56From the moment the gang rides into town,
06:58something feels off, and then boom,
07:00Agent Milton is holding Abigail and Hosea captive in the street.
07:03Milton shoots Hosea in the back.
07:05Uh-oh, someone's at the door.
07:06Who is it?
07:07It's my good friend Stress.

07:08John is captured just outside the bank,
07:11and Dutch knowingly lets it happen.
07:13Then, as Arthur and Lenny try to lead an escape,
07:15Lenny is suddenly ambushed and gunned down by Pinkertons.

07:35Gambler Rank 8 is easily among the toughest challenges in the game.
07:38It requires players to win three hands of blackjack
07:41after hitting at least three times.
07:43In other words, you'll need to build a hand of five cards
07:45before standing or hitting blackjack,
07:47and then still manage to beat the dealer.
07:49With the house almost always having the upper hand,
07:51it can feel maddeningly unfair to participate in a challenge
07:54that involves no skills.
07:56It's all luck at this point.
07:57If you disagree, head down to the casino and draw five cards.
